In my ranking of gyudon chain restaurants, it was previously rated low at 3rd place. However, after trying it again, it has moved up to 2nd place in my mind. But to reach 1st place, it feels like something is missing for me. The sweetness of the fat in the meat is not as good as Yoshinoya's, but overall it was a delicious meal that improved my impression.

I think about what to have for lunch while deciding what to have for breakfast. I've decided on gyudon for lunch! So, for breakfast, I'll go with the morning set. Looking at the menu, I'll go with the Bacon and Egg Morning Set for 390 yen. It looks luxurious. For bacon and eggs, I prefer salt instead of soy sauce, but they don't have sauce at the restaurant, so I'll just use dressing. The salad on the side is just right. I'll definitely eat here again. On July 3rd, I tried the Tamakake Breakfast for 290 yen. It's really delicious! The menu doesn't change, which is fine by me. It's a great deal in terms of cost performance. This time, I tried ordering it without the dipping sauce. It's surprisingly good as a bento. I'll choose based on my mood next time.

In front of Choshi Station, there is a Nakau restaurant, but this store is a 2-3 minute walk from the station. There are counter seats in the front and table seats in the back. Orders are placed using a tablet. I usually use takeout, so it was a new experience for me. You can choose options like "extra sauce" or "extra green onions" when ordering a beef bowl. Amazing! It's great to be able to enjoy it for 400 yen during these times of high prices.

This was my first visit to the Sukiya near Chigami Station. There is no private parking, so you have to use nearby parking lots. It had been a while since I last visited a Sukiya, and I noticed that they had switched to tablet ordering, which is commonly seen in izakayas. Acrylic sheets were installed at the counter, giving the impression that they are taking measures against COVID-19. On this day, I was aiming for a low-carb meal, so I chose the Beef Bowl Light with extra meat. Instead of rice, it came with tofu and salad. I was a bit unsure about the corn, but I finished the meal. I also ordered miso soup and a raw egg set, satisfying both my taste buds and protein needs. They accept various cashless payments, making it convenient.

The nearest station is Shiomi Station. It's a bit far from the station. I ordered the special eel bowl (1280 yen). It came with 2 pieces of eel and extra rice. The eel was probably microwaved, but surprisingly it was plump and delicious. It might feel lonely with just one piece, but with two pieces, it was satisfying and filling.

I tried the Kimchi Cheese Mix version of the delicious Beef and Rice Bowl that I enjoyed last year. It was quite a luxurious and voluminous dish.

This "Sukiya" has been around for quite some time, but with "Nakau" and "Origin Bento" in front of the station, I never had the opportunity to use it before. Even though there shouldn't be only one Chinese employee working since there were various problems in the past, on this day, there was only one. As a result, taking orders, handling payments, and clearing dishes were all being done slowly, causing some frustration among the customers. I thought to myself, "They're understaffed..." and watched the situation with a kind heart. But when I pointed to the limited-time product, the Caesar lettuce beef bowl, I was told, "Can't do it. We don't have any made ahead because I'm alone." Feeling a bit irritated (lol), I reluctantly ordered the Kimchi beef bowl regular size for 480 yen. This was a product that had been a staple for 20 years. Apparently, they had changed it to green onion kimchi beef bowl last spring, but it seems they recently reverted back to the original. I kind of wanted to try the green onion kimchi beef bowl. As for the revived menu item, the Kimchi beef bowl, beef and kimchi go well together (like pork in samgyeopsal), so the taste was perfect. But I always wonder, with Sukiya, since toppings come in the form of an additional order on top of the basic beef bowl, is the regular size for 350 yen with 130 yen worth of kimchi on it? It feels a bit overpriced, don't you think? I feel like I've written something similar somewhere before (lol).

This is Sukiya Shiomimi branch. Sukiya pilgrimage journey: 147th visit to a beef bowl restaurant: 213th beef bowl... 350 yen. This restaurant is located 200 meters from JR Shiomi Station. Today it is raining cold, so I was planning to go to Hakone Soba, but I unexpectedly found Sukiya on the way, so I decided to stop by here (laughs). As for the beef bowl, the meat and onions were added just before my order, so it is quite fresh. Some may think it lacks simmering, but I like fresh beef bowls. The tea had small ice cubes, but there were five of them so I could get a refill. Before my order, there was a large order that caused some trouble, but it was all part of the fun. It was a pretty good service (*^^*).

When I'm hungry in Chigami, my choices are limited and I tend to settle here. Many izakayas open early for delivery drivers. So I feel at ease with the quality of the Negi-tama Gyudon salad set here. Today's staff member isn't responding to me. It depends on the staff, right? I feel like I'm missing out. The taste is okay, as usual. The radio-like content that flows is somewhat interesting, but I've memorized the story. I wonder if there's a new menu item that I would like. Next up is the Yukke-don.

The neighboring department store's customer service was so poor that I gave up on using it. There was only one staff member. It seems that they only increased staff for robbery prevention in the city center. The staff member was running around in a hurry. It's understandable. They were alone, taking orders for bento boxes, phone orders, and cooking all by themselves. There were only four customers dining in, yet they didn't bring water, and couldn't handle payment... However, the staff member was doing their best. I couldn't help but wonder, who does "Zensho" think they are to make people work in such an environment? By only focusing on cutting labor costs and neglecting the well-being of workers and customers, a store like this has no future. Can't they at least have a two-person team?
