- Restaurant Name: Heita Shu Ajian
- Location: Gotanda Station, Osaki Hirokoji Station
- Budget: 1000-2000 yen
- Ordered Menu:
- Special Ramen (regular for all)
- Rice
Located about a 7-minute walk from the west exit of Gotanda Station, this popular restaurant is known for its rich and flavorful ramen. It is ranked as the number one ramen shop in Gotanda on Tabelog. The style of ramen is similar to the Koenji Ramen in Tokyo, known for its rich broth with pork fat.
I visited the restaurant on a weekday before 9 pm. The interior has about 10 counter seats and quickly filled up with customers. The restaurant is affiliated with Koenji Ramen Heita Shu, as indicated by a sign inside.
I ordered the Special Ramen with regular flavoring options. The dish arrived promptly, with a generous amount of pork chashu, seasoned egg, and bamboo shoots. The broth was rich and oily, with a strong soy sauce flavor that also had a hint of sweetness. The longer I ate, the more depth of flavor I discovered, making it a truly satisfying bowl of ramen.
The noodles were chewy and absorbed the flavorful broth well. I recommend mixing the noodles and soup thoroughly before eating to enhance the taste. The rice served on the side complemented the soup perfectly.
Overall, the ramen at Heita Shu Ajian was a memorable and delicious experience. If you find yourself in Gotanda, I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely be back.

It's about a 7-minute walk from Gotanda Station. The nearest station is Oosakihirokoji Station on the Tokyu Ikegami Line. This is a junky ramen shop where you can enjoy ramen covered in back fat. They operate on a pre-payment system with ticket vending machines, and there are only counter seats inside. I tried the "Bakumori Abura Abura Men" for 1000 yen. It's a menu with a large amount of back fat similar to oil soba. You can choose from 200, 300, or 400 grams of noodles. Special seasonings are provided in a basket so you can enjoy changing the flavor as you eat. The thick noodles have a great texture. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it, but surprisingly, I could eat it smoothly. This dish is definitely not for everyone... Surprisingly, my stomach felt better the next day compared to when I had Jiro ramen. Please note that you can only order the "Bakumori Abura Abura Men" after 2 pm. If you see the photo and feel like trying it, I think it's worth a try.

I wanted to eat this hearty soupless ramen on my way back to the head office after going to Ebina for work, so I got off the train halfway there ~(^^)/ I've been here a few times before, but this is my first time trying the soupless ramen! Today, I was prepared to be impressed as I dug in w(^^)w. It was around 2pm on a weekday and the restaurant was half full. The "Explosive Rich Oil Ramen" had thick, slightly flat noodles that were firm and chewy. The surface was smooth, but the center was slightly firm. As I chewed, I could taste the wheat flavor along with the aroma of the sauce and the sweetness of the pork fat. It was rich, but the high-quality pork fat didn't overpower the dish, allowing me to enjoy the flavors fully! The chashu was tender and crumbled easily when picked up with chopsticks - so delicious! The default seasoned egg was perfectly runny. The bamboo shoots added a crunchy texture. This menu also came with "flavor-changing items" such as bonito powder, seaweed, mayonnaise, and cheese, which added a sinful touch to the experience ~(ω~). By the end of the meal, the remaining fat in the bowl had turned into a soup (lol). I should have added rice and eaten it! Overall, it was a rich and refined bowl of ramen! The noodles were robust, the variety of flavor-changing items was plentiful, and it was loaded with pork fat! Thank you for the meal!

Recently, light ramen has become mainstream, and I thought the rich style had already declined, but it still exists. The ramen with lots of pork fat has a strong impact in appearance, but surprisingly, it tastes light. This ramen is delicious in its own way.

I wanted to eat rich and oily ramen again, so I came back here. It's past 9 pm and it's crowded, but I was able to get in smoothly. I really like the ramen here. The noodles are thick and the ramen is oily and rich, not the healthiest choice but delicious.

I thought it would be greasier than it actually was. In a good way. I imagined a more persistent, greasy feeling, but the noodles were coated in a rich soy sauce flavor and were delicious. The person at the next table was complaining to the staff that the taste had changed from two years ago, but they didn't seem to mind me, a first-time customer. It was just simply delicious. The egg could have been a bit more runny for my taste. The chashu was neither good nor bad. Ordering rice might have been more enjoyable. All the staff were foreigners, which made me feel the changing times. They must have trained well. It was delicious.

On a regular Friday around 8:15 PM, I headed to Meguro Jiro after work, but the line was too long so I gave up. I was in a friend's car, so we continued towards Gotanda. The ramen with green onions topping, rice, and back fat is delicious. The thin noodles are chewy and satisfying. Next time, I'll try the mixed noodles.

I visited the Kotteri ramen at the Koutaishu Miian in Jinbocho and got hooked. According to the sign inside the store, pork back fat is good for your health, so I've been living on back fat ever since, haha. This time, I added a lot of garlic, but it ended up being too overpowering, so I've realized that my best combination is normal garlic, strong flavor, and more fat. I'll definitely go back again.

The back fat cha-cha-cha♪ I visited around 2pm on a weekday and was able to sit at the counter smoothly as there were a few empty seats. The back fat soaked into my tired body. High-quality pork fat. The sharp soy sauce-based thick soup pairs perfectly with it. The noodles were thin. The taste makes up for the appearance.

Access: 5-8 minutes walk from Gotanda Station West Exit, 30 seconds walk from Osaki Hirokoji Station.
Price: Explosion Fat Noodle for 1000 yen, Char Siu Donburi for 250 yen, Nori for 100 yen.
You will be asked about the amount of noodles and your preferred taste when you purchase a food ticket.
Taste preferences: Normal saltiness, more fat, less garlic.
The ramen looks high in calories, with a generous amount of back fat but surprisingly not too greasy. The soy sauce base is flavorful and the thick curly noodles are appetizing. As you eat, the garlic flavor starts to come through, changing the taste. I didn't need the garlic. I want to go back and try the special ramen next time. Thank you for the meal!

⭐️4.2 Bakujo Abura Ramen 1000 yen
Arrived around 9 PM on Saturday, no wait in line. Got my bowl in about 10 minutes. The ramen had a rich oiliness as expected, but the amount of oil was actually moderate. The soy sauce broth had a sharp flavor and was easy to eat. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles with a nice chewy texture. The toppings of chashu and shredded pork were delicious, but I wish there was more noodles in the bowl (you can choose from 200g, 300g, or 400g).

Today's lunch was at the popular restaurant Heita Shu in Gotanda, which offers hearty ramen with plenty of pork back fat. I visited at 2:30 pm and the restaurant was almost full. I ordered the "explosive oil noodles" which are served after 2 pm, consisting of 300g of thick noodles with seaweed. The taste is like a sudden downpour of pork back fat, spreading deliciousness throughout your mouth.

In my opinion, at "Heita Shu", a rich and satisfying meal can be enjoyed as a hearty ramen shop. I particularly tried the oil soba, and I was very satisfied with its rich flavor and generous portion. Oil soba is a style where the noodles and ingredients are coated in plenty of special oil, rather than a rich soup. The combination of firm noodles and toppings created a harmonious blend in my mouth. Despite its richness, the umami of the oil enhanced the overall taste. I was surprised by the portion size, especially since I visited on an empty stomach. Eating it while hungry made the deliciousness even more pronounced. It was a bowl where I could enjoy a pleasant sense of satisfaction and deliciousness.

I arrived after 14:00 on a regular day, and decided to visit again to try the "explosive greasy noodles" that are sold after 14:00. You can choose from 200g, 300g, or 400g of noodles, and this time I asked for 300g. Most people around me were eating this greasy noodles. I waited for about 10 minutes after being seated, and when the noodles arrived, the amount of grease on top looked incredibly delicious, but considering my age, I hesitated a bit... When I lifted up the noodles, they were quite heavy. When I tried eating them, the noodles were very firm and hard, almost too hard to chew, even for someone like me who likes firm noodles. Despite the appearance, the taste was surprisingly not greasy at all, and combined with the soy sauce base, it was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I feel like soups with a punch are tastier than ramen. I'm not a fan of fancy ramen. I prefer something junky with a strong flavor. I added extra black pepper for more punch since it already had garlic. I wish the noodles were a bit thicker. I wanted to drink more soup, but I have a sensitive stomach so I had to hold back. I feel like having some oil noodles.

I have always wanted to visit this restaurant, and it was my first time. I ordered the Explosive Oil Fat Noodles 400g. Just the name alone is amazing, right? I finished the 400g in no time. There were a lot of condiments for flavoring, but I think I liked it best as it was. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Recently, airplanes are delayed as a matter of course. I wonder if operations have become sluggish due to COVID, or if there is a shortage of staff. Today, the arrival was delayed by nearly 30 minutes from the scheduled time. I had planned to go to Heita Shu, but it was already late, so I thought about waiting for another opportunity. However, the craving for tonkotsu ramen was too strong, so I headed straight there. It's been a while since I had tonkotsu ramen, and it was absolutely delicious. I'm also curious about the explosively rich oil ramen, but ever since I was captivated by Tosakko Ramen during my student days, I realized that ramen is my go-to choice. I don't sweat the small stuff. Thank you for the meal!

If asked what food has the highest calories in Japan, I would definitely say the "Explosive Oil Noodle" here. Located near Osaki Hirokoji Station, this ramen shop is famous for its rich and fatty broth. While the ramen here is delicious, I recommend trying the oil noodles. This time, I ordered the "Explosive Oil Noodle" 400g for 1,000 yen. (You can also choose 200g or 300g noodles) The thick curly noodles are covered in a generous amount of oil sauce, and topped with even more back fat, making it a calorie bomb. The sauce is quite rich, but the back fat adds depth and mildness, making it irresistible once you start eating. You can also enjoy various flavors with the oil noodle-specific condiments such as chili oil, mayonnaise, sansho pepper, shichimi, etc. (I recommend fish powder and mayonnaise) After finishing it, you will be filled with a satisfying feeling of not needing anything else. Forget about the calories and try this dish at least once! (If you forget about the calories, it's practically zero calories!!)

Opened in 2003, this extremely popular restaurant specializes in rich and fatty ramen. I visited this place because it was highly recommended by ramen YouTuber SUSURU. Inside the restaurant, there are signatures from the ramen king Hideyuki Ishigami and various celebrities, giving it a prestigious feel. I ordered the popular menu item "Explosive Oil Fat Noodles," which had a visually striking appearance with a generous amount of back fat poured on top. The thick noodles had a chewy texture and paired surprisingly well with the rich and creamy flavor. The back fat used is of high purity and quality, which contributes to its unique and refreshing taste. Despite the heavy appearance, the noodles, sauce, and fat blend harmoniously, and the dish also comes with three tender pork belly slices, a firm-flavored boiled egg, and well-prepared menma. The second half of the meal allows for flavor customization with a variety of condiments, a privilege exclusive to those who order the Explosive Oil Fat Noodles. While options like fish powder and mustard are available, I personally recommend trying mayonnaise for an extra boost in richness. Overall, my experience at Heitaishu was a great success, and I look forward to visiting their branches in Jinbocho and Nishiojima in the future.

I visited on a regular night and was seated immediately with no wait. I ordered the special ramen with toppings of strong flavor and extra fat, no garlic. It was my first time trying the chashu pork back fat style, and it was incredibly delicious! I chose a strong flavor, which was just right even on a hot summer day. I couldn't stop drinking the addictive soup. It was truly, truly delicious, so I can't wait to go back again soon.

I had been curious for a while, but every time I passed by the front of the store, I was enveloped in a strong smell coming from the exhaust vent, which made me hesitate and think about giving up. Today, I happened to be nearby and feeling hungry, so I decided to go for it before it was too late! It was a weekday at 5 PM, and I thought I would easily get a seat, but maybe because there was a university nearby, there was only one seat available. It was my first time, so I went for the classic ramen with normal levels of flavor, oil, and garlic. I noticed that it looked quite normal compared to other photos in reviews. I wonder if other people choose extra oil or something? It felt a bit underwhelming. The soup had a slightly sweet soy sauce flavor, similar to the Gen Ramen at places like Ginza, which I liked. However, the char siu was salty and clashed with the soup, which was disappointing. Afterwards, I got really thirsty from this bowl of ramen.
