I had lunch at the highly rated restaurant "Suiho." I always feel nervous when trying a new place, but this time I decided to go for the weekly changing noodle set, which was the "spare rib soup noodles." The soup was a simple Chinese soy sauce base with a hint of Asian flavor, showing the skill of the chef. The spare ribs were coated with spices and had an authentic taste. I finally understood that this place serves delicious food no matter what you order! I left the restaurant already thinking about my next lunch there.

The taste of the dishes was all delicious. Overall, the portions were small, so as someone who wants to eat a lot, I felt a bit unsatisfied. The food was so tasty that I wanted to eat more and more (^^) It was my first time eating sesame dumplings with powdered sugar, and I finished them in no time! Thank you for the meal (^^)

We used it for a company welcome and farewell party. The reservation date was originally when a typhoon hit and the members couldn't gather, so we had to change it to the next day, and the phone support was very helpful. We are grateful. In our company, we don't often plan event meals, but our boss instructed us to hold a grand event, so we reserved the "Kirin's Seat Course." It was a satisfying meal with a full volume and quality ingredients. Until September, takeout is not allowed, so there were some dishes left uneaten. Kirin's Seat Course included: - Chinese style sashimi with special appetizer platter - Steamed live Ise lobster with strong heat - Supreme pot-steamed soup with mountain and sea delicacies - Boiled sea urchin and large shark fin - Seasonal sherbet for chopstick rest - Oyster-boiled dried abalone with seasonal vegetables - A5 rank wagyu sirloin steak with seasonal vegetables - Famous shark fin soba or porridge or crab fried rice - Chef's special dessert platter The female staff in Chinese dress explained the dishes in a easy-to-understand manner. Personally, I loved the boiled sea urchin and large shark fin the most. The Chinese-style sashimi appetizer with sea bream was fresh, and the fried conger eel was crispy and delicious. The guests were exploring the ingredients of the supreme pot-steamed soup with great interest. The dessert served when we were already full included peach compote, bitter melon jelly, panna cotta, etc., and it was a meticulously prepared course until the very end. We enjoyed a banquet to reward years of hard work at this long-established authentic Chinese restaurant. Thank you for the feast.

Ueno Station, right after exiting the Uguisudani exit! At first glance, the entrance facing the main street looks quite ordinary, but once you step inside and look to the left, you'll be surprised! It's gorgeous! The sparkling staircase leading down to the seating area is so glamorous! The pathway to the seating area is like a bridge, shining all the way up to the ceiling. The waitresses in their cheongsams are cute. The luxurious feel is reminiscent of the Showa era. There are two private tatami rooms available, which is great. There's actually an elevator available, so if you have a baby stroller or are a wheelchair user, it's worth asking about. Start with a craft beer for KP, and for starters, go for the recommended assorted platter by the adorable waitress in a cheongsam. She neatly arranged it for us, which was nice. When they're busy, it might be tough, but they seem willing to help with the arrangement. It might be a bit of a hassle, but sometimes you just have to ask for it. The jellyfish was delicious. This is where the high-class touch of the restaurant shows. The dim sum, mapo tofu, sweet and sour pork, spring rolls, stir-fried dishes, all delicious classics. The standout dish was the lemon and chicken dish (not sure of the name). The lemons were neatly arranged on top, with steamed chicken underneath... but between the chicken skin and meat, there was a layer of minced white fish, giving it a bouncy and delicious texture! The skin was delicious, the chicken was delicious, and the lemon sauce was delicious! The volume was impressive. The Fukahire soba we had at the end was amazing! The soup was thick and rich, with plenty of Fukahire. The flavor was intense, but it was so delicious that even though we were full, we couldn't stop eating it! It was the perfect way to end the meal and also a great snack! I shared this dish (the waitress in the cheongsam helped with the sharing), but I really wanted to have it all to myself! I heard they have a lunch set with the Fukahire soba and fried rice, so I've already promised myself to come back. I think Chinese food is best enjoyed with a large group, but for this place, I love it so much that I want to have the Fukahire soba all to myself! The restaurant has a bubble-like atmosphere with stairs leading down to the underground entrance. The interior feels like a movie set. We had a course meal with luxurious ingredients in various Chinese dishes, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff was also very attentive, and we had a satisfying time. It is ideal for business entertainment due to the reasonable prices, ambiance, and quality of food. The only downside is the long staircase without an elevator, which may be challenging for elderly customers.

We used this restaurant as a place to celebrate. The interior is very luxurious and spacious. We made a reservation and were provided with a private room, which was very large and allowed us to relax comfortably. Since we had a large group, we were able to share dishes like shark fin soup and Peking duck, and they accommodated our preferences by removing ingredients like cucumber and green onions. I personally ordered the Mapo Tofu Rice in a hot pot, and even after some time passed, it was still delicious and piping hot.

Today I had crispy yakisoba. You can order it extra crispy and with the sauce on the side. They are very accommodating to specific requests. One impressive point was that they remembered I had requested disposable chopsticks last time due to my preference, and they had them ready for everyone when I arrived. The crispy yakisoba was just as I wanted, with a mix of crispy and soft noodles covered in sauce. The large vegetables and shrimp added not only flavor but also a nice texture. Both the ramen and crispy yakisoba are delicious!

Lately, I've been coming here every week and looking forward to the weekly changing noodles. This week, I enjoyed the vegetable-filled hot noodles with XO sauce. Today, I felt like having something with a bit more kick, so I ordered the regular menu set with tantan noodles, crab fried rice, almond tofu, and coffee. The tantan noodles were not too spicy, with a strong sesame flavor rather than a numbing Sichuan peppercorn taste. The noodles were firm and paired well with the rich soup. It's not a very distinctive flavor, but it has a lot of depth. I even finished the soup completely, which shows how much I enjoyed it. And don't forget the almond tofu - it's a must-try! The restaurant's ambiance is also luxurious. When you want to eat ramen but also want to go somewhere a bit special, this is the top recommendation.

Visited in mid-February 2023 for a lunch gathering at the Chinese restaurant Suiho in Higashi Ueno. The restaurant is located near Metro Ueno Station, just a short walk from exit 2. Upon descending a spacious staircase to the underground, you are greeted by a luxurious Chinese dining establishment that feels like a set from a movie. There were about 10-15 people present. Private rooms had been reserved, each containing large Chinese tables. We were informed that we could order anything from the lunch menu, so everyone decided to order the shark fin soba set (shark fin soba, fried rice, almond jelly dessert, and a drink). While I'm not particularly interested in shark fin, I felt it was a rare opportunity to try it. The shark fin soba was served in a generous amount of thick sauce with the noodles sitting atop, resembling more of a pasta or soupless ramen. The sauce was slightly on the salty side. Personally, as a commoner, I couldn't quite appreciate the taste of the shark fin. The fried rice was elegantly flavored and a bit subtle, but when combined with a bit of the shark fin sauce, it became quite delicious. Although not a place for everyday dining, it is a great restaurant for business entertaining or special meals.

Long time no visit. It's bustling even on weekdays. This week's noodles are Paiko hot noodles with mapo tofu, rice, coffee after the meal, and almond jelly set. Rice is all-you-can-eat, what a generous offer! Mapo tofu and rice are served first. This alone can be a meal. The mapo tofu is authentic with a strong taste of Sichuan pepper, quite spicy but delicious. You can easily finish a bowl of rice. The Paiko hot noodles have a light pastry with a rich flavor, and the ramen itself is light with little oil. It's a ramen that even adults can enjoy. It looks delicious even with mapo tofu added. I was planning to get a rice refill, but the ramen portion was quite substantial so I gave up. It cost ¥1760, but it was very satisfying with a generous portion.

I went to Suifeng, a Chinese restaurant right by Ueno Station. I went down the stairs from the entrance to the underground area, where the luxurious space of the restaurant spread out. I ordered the lunch course. The dishes that came out were not spicy, but everything was refined and carefully prepared, and delicious. The last dish, the pickled vegetable fried rice and the shark fin soup, went perfectly together and were exquisite. The staff's service was also very good, and it became a restaurant that I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

We used this restaurant for a family meal. We ordered the holiday lunch, starting with appetizers and ending with dessert, everything was delicious. I remembered how good the spring rolls were from a previous visit, so I ordered them separately for everyone. The spring rolls had large ingredients and were very satisfying. The prawn chili this time had big prawns, but even the small prawn version would have been delicious. Everything we tried at Suifeng was delicious. They have many private rooms and the decor is luxurious, making it a great place for entertaining or special occasions. (I forgot to take pictures of some dishes though!)

Suiho comes every week. This week's noodles were really good! It was a soy sauce ramen with simmered pork. The color looks delicious with a lot of tender simmered pork. The slightly sweet and thick sauce coats the noodles and vegetables nicely. The vegetables here are usually just lightly stir-fried, giving a crunchy texture and simple vegetable flavor. Normally, I find the taste a bit light, but with this rich soup, the crunchy vegetables really shine. There was a lot of ingredients this time, and the thick texture made it quite heavy, but it was delicious. Looking forward to the weekly changing noodles!

I met up with a friend I hadn't seen in 3 years for lunch at a restaurant I had never been to before. When I walked in, I was amazed by the luxurious interior and the staff dressed in Chinese-style dresses. I was surprised by the restroom, which had glass walls that turned opaque when locked. The special appetizer platter was delicious, and the four different appetizers paired well with the drinks. The shark fin soup was rich, and the scallop and seasonal vegetable stir-fry had a light flavor with large, satisfying scallops. The large prawns in chili sauce were incredibly tasty, and the black pepper stir-fried Wagyu beef was tender. The dessert platter included warm coconut dumplings, refreshing pear compote, and light almond tofu. Overall, the food had a rich flavor and was very delicious.

There were about 10 groups of customers ahead of me, but there were still empty seats as the restaurant is spacious. This time, I was determined to definitely have ramen! The lunch menu had changed since my last visit, which keeps things interesting. This time, I ordered the seafood salt ramen + fried rice set for ¥1750. I don't usually eat this genre of food, so I was feeling both anxious and excited. The fried rice was served first. The portion was small, but the rice was slightly moist and flavorful, satisfying. The taste was different from typical Chinese fried rice. The seafood salt ramen had a strong seafood broth flavor, even though it was salt-based. It had a satisfying texture with large vegetables and shrimp toppings, taking me to a different world. The seafood broth and saltiness were well-balanced and delicious. It's not your typical ramen shop ramen, but considering the atmosphere of the restaurant, it's perfect for those times when you want ramen but not from a regular ramen shop.

I went out to eat after a long time. It was around 6 pm on a weekday night and the restaurant was almost full. I ordered the following dishes: - Large Shrimp in Chili Sauce for 3,630 yen - Braised Shark Fin (small portion) for 4,950 yen - Seafood Fried Noodles for 1,980 yen - Tan Tan Noodles for 1,760 yen I usually stick to the same menu items when I come here. The Tan Tan Noodles here are not as satisfying as those from the specialty shops that have been popping up recently. However, all the dishes are good and tasty with no misses. It's a "Chinese restaurant" that suits the taste of Japanese people.

I tried coming to Suifeng for lunch. Although there was a sign saying it was fully booked with reservations, I was still able to get a table. The interior design is like a misunderstanding of Japan seen in Hollywood movies, with a bridge resembling the famous bridge in Yokohama. The service staff wore a Chinese dress with a deep slit that caught my attention. I ordered the Shark Fin Soba Set (¥2200 including tax), which came with shark fin soba, crab fried rice, almond tofu, and coffee. The shark fin soba had straight thin noodles with a good texture and a nice flavor of shark fin. It made me a bit thirsty, but the texture of the shark fin was well-present. The crab fried rice was delicious on its own, but I decided to pour the shark fin soba soup over it, which was also tasty. The almond tofu looked like agar but tasted more like almond tofu, and the coffee was good too. Overall, it was a decent restaurant.

When it comes to fancy Chinese cuisine in Ueno, this place has a glamorous and bubbly vibe like something out of a drama. This was my first time trying their lunch menu and I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced it was. It's hard to find a place with this kind of atmosphere, so I think it's a good value overall. The dishes were on the lighter side (maybe just this time?), so I found the portion size a bit lacking. However, they offer rice refills so you can make up for it in volume. I remember the food being really delicious when I visited at night before, so I was a little disappointed this time. I'm looking forward to my next visit! ✨
