When it comes to Tsukiji, Sushizanmai Honten is the place to go. Arrived at 10 o'clock and waited in line for 40 minutes, then sat at the counter seat. The showcase is filled with a variety of sushi, and watching the chefs making sushi right in front of you is exciting. I ordered the premium tuna set which includes Otoro, Chutoro, Maguro Akami, Otoro Aburi, Negitoro Gunkanmaki, Tekkamaki, a dish that allows you to enjoy all the flavors. The Otoro, bursting with richness and flavor, is a must-try item that you can only experience at Sushizanmai. The thickness of the toppings other than tuna is remarkable, especially the mirugai and tsubugai, which are so fresh that they have a fantastic taste and texture that is completely different from other restaurants. The red clam, golden eye snapper, and Botan shrimp are all delicious, and the Botan shrimp head was served as tempura, which was a perfect match with beer. The total cost for two people was 13,000 yen, considering the taste, service, and satisfaction, it is not expensive at all, but a reasonable price. It was definitely the right choice to end the Tsukiji food tour with Sushizanmai. Thank you for the meal.

It was probably my first time at a non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant. We went on a weekday just before lunchtime, so we were able to get in without waiting. Everything was delicious, especially the tuna which was excellent. We sat at the counter, making it easy to order, and the chef was kind as well.

I went to Tsukiji for the first time! It's open 24 hours, so you can have sushi for breakfast, which is a luxurious treat! You can order, have it made, and served right in front of you, so everything is fresh and incredibly delicious! You can eat a lot or just a little, but either way, it's real sushi. You might have to wait in line depending on the time, but it's worth it to eat there.

I visited the main store of "Sushizanmai" in Tsukiji for the first time♪ The store, open 24 hours, was bustling even after 10 p.m. On these still hot days, I enjoyed cooling off with cold matcha, and savored the sushi, miso soup, and chawanmushi. Everything was so delicious that I ended up feeling sleepy at the end... As I had heard, the tuna was incredibly tasty! I definitely want to visit this restaurant again. I booked a hotel for a simple stay and was looking forward to exploring Tsukiji, a place I had never been before in Tokyo. However, when I arrived in Tsukiji, I was surprised to find out that the market was closed for the Obon holiday. Since I had heard mixed reviews about Tsukiji, I decided to change my destination to the Tsukiji Outer Market. While walking around, my child pointed out a restaurant they wanted to eat at, and we ended up dining there. Honestly, it feels like every time I come to Tsukiji with someone in the past few years, we always end up at this same restaurant.

I visited around 9pm on the night before a three-day weekend. I waited for about 4.5 groups but was able to get in. I had grilled eel, whitebait, and shishamo with white wine. The sushi included ikura, salmon, chutoro, sardine, and red shrimp, all of which were small so I could try a variety. I enjoyed them with Yamadanishiki sake. I also had torotaku and ikura rolls. Finally, I had the classic chawanmushi. The total cost was around 15,000 yen for two people, but we didn't mind as we were very satisfied with the fullness and the experience of drinking sake at a sushi restaurant.

Recently, I have been enjoying sushi at Tsukiji. This time, I had fresh abalone sashimi, eel zaku, simmered tuna collar, and raw water eggplant, along with a surprise dish (off-menu) called Bakudan. As always, the freshness and deliciousness were top-notch. Thank you for the meal.

Well, everything was delicious. The fact that it's open 24 hours is convenient for travelers. As someone from Kyushu, I was surprised that the soy sauce for sushi wasn't sweet, but overall it was pretty tasty. I only had eel besides tuna. The eel was okay. Next time, I want to try something other than eel.

I was worried when my beloved Tsukiji Market moved to Toyosu, but the area outside is still as lively as ever. In fact, it may be even more bustling post-COVID. One place that really promotes and livens up Tsukiji is "Tsukiji Kiyomura Sushizanmai Main Store." They still maintain their 24-hour operation, which is truly impressive. Unfortunately, I always seem to miss the less crowded times, as this popular spot is always packed. The comment "It's always crowded" from the chef says it all. One of the highlights is the friendly communication with the chefs at the counter. Despite the overwhelming number of customers and continuous operation, the chefs manage to keep up with the demand. The food is undeniably delicious and would cost much more in neighboring Ginza. If you have the time to enjoy the bustling atmosphere while savoring the food, I highly recommend it. (Also recommended is the grilled squid (sold outside) at the second store.)

Even though it's a chain restaurant, the chef and staff were very attentive to customers. When we mentioned that our companion was running late, they made sure to keep our seats for us. We have lived abroad for a long time, but we were surprised by the high level of English proficiency at the reception. It was a fantastic experience - they were considerate and had great English skills. It made us feel good and the food was delicious!

This is the real Sushizanmai! Both the service and the taste at the Tsukiji main store Sushizanmai were very satisfying! The sushi, including the tuna stew and other dishes, all had refined flavors and were very delicious! The staff were energetic and had a sense of humor, making the dining experience enjoyable and tasty! I definitely want to visit this restaurant again!

It's perfect for someone like me who is socially awkward! It's amazing. Highly recommended for both Japanese and foreigners, this super popular sushi place! The prices are a bit high, but being able to eat delicious tuna and sushi is just fantastic! I really wish there was one of these near my place since they are open 24 hours. This place in Tsukiji is so famous that it seems like there is a New Year's special program just for Sushizanmai every year. On this day, I ordered sushi and tempura. Sushi restaurant "Sushizammai" in Tsukiji It's been a while since I visited Sushi Zammai. Being a chain restaurant, I don't think I would make it such a priority to go there for dinner, but what the heck, it's good! Above all, it's great that they are open until late at night, since sushi restaurants in Tsukiji close early. Especially with the recent increase in the number of foreign tourists, there are always lines even late at night. You should be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes. P.S. You should definitely ask for a bowl of Nori.

In June 2023, Tsukiji was mostly filled with foreigners. It was very crowded, so I lined up around 11 am. Just before noon, I was called in, and when I looked back, I saw a huge line outside. Despite the heat, it was nice to be able to wait inside once called. The staff efficiently managed the orders, and the chefs inside were very considerate. I wanted to know if the taste was different from other restaurants, so I visited Tsukiji Sushizanmai. The customer service was thorough and the atmosphere was pleasant. Each restaurant seemed to have its own charm. Tsukiji was full of temptations from other shops, which was exciting, but the crowds and long lines everywhere made me realize it's best to line up early and make a quick decision.

I realized when writing this review that, embarrassingly, Tsukiji is actually the main branch of Sushizanmai. I visited on a weekday at 9:00 PM and was able to get in smoothly, but there was quite a line outside the restaurant, mostly made up of foreigners. Even after I left around 10:00 PM, there were still people waiting in line. Sushizanmai is a good value sushi restaurant that is open late and consistent. I would like to visit again.

My sixth-grade son wanted to eat sushi to his heart's content at the original Tsukiji market's Sushizanmai main store, so we went on a trip together from Hokkaido by plane. It was raining, but there were still many foreign tourists visiting. My son ordered various sushi using the touch panel, with favorites like bluefin tuna, squid, flounder fin, and salmon roe. He ate earnestly, saying "delicious" repeatedly. I only had a bluefin tuna bowl. My son was in a good mood with a full stomach. He said he wants to come back tomorrow. When you think of Tsukiji, you think of Sushizanmai. This restaurant is always crowded, even on weekday nights. It's amazing that they are open 24 hours. Recently, it seems like the sushi conveyor belt is not rotating often due to customers' mischief, but at "Sushizanmai" it was rotating properly. The rice was smaller, which I like. Despite the small space, I deliberately chose the main store. I enjoyed the delicious sushi.
