During the three-day weekend, I was suddenly invited to go sightseeing in Asakusa. We moved from Skytree to this place where there was no line. A group of about 10 people entered smoothly, although we were seated separately. I ordered a set of soba and mini tendon. It was great that we could also order oolong tea with a coupon from Tabelog. Thank you for the meal.

Around 11:30, we were able to get a seat on the second floor without waiting. The restaurant had a large number of seats. The soba noodles were delicious, but the real surprise was the shaved ice. The apricot flavor was like marmalade, sweet and tangy. The ice was fluffy. They had other flavors like matcha and mango, totaling 5 different options.

Taste: Mediocre. It may be a matter of personal preference, but the soba was average. The grated yam with seaweed on top was delicious. Atmosphere: Average. Just a typical soba restaurant with nothing special. Cost performance: The soba was a bit expensive for its taste. However, since it's a tourist area, all food tends to be pricey.

On this day, we were bar hopping in Asakusa. As we were walking, we stumbled upon a seemingly nice soba restaurant. Since there were quite a few of us, we decided to enter as they had tatami seating available. The restaurant had about 70 seats and was quite spacious, but it was packed due to the holiday. Customers were coming and going constantly. The menu had a wide variety of options, making it hard to decide what to order. However, we opted for a great value set menu: Mori Soba with a mini shrimp tempura bowl (1,300 yen). Both the soba and tempura were incredibly delicious. The mini tempura bowl was a decent size. Overall, we felt that this set was a great deal. We also ordered the following items: Assorted vegetable tempura, firefly squid, grated yam with raw egg, and garlic tempura. The cozy tatami seating and the excellent service from the staff made us linger longer than expected. It was a great restaurant experience.

I used it for lunch. I had a set of soba and tempura, both were very delicious and I was able to enjoy them leisurely in a tatami room. The owner of the restaurant was very cheerful and before I knew it, I was smiling too ^^ I would like to use it again when I visit Asakusa.

It is located about a 3-minute walk from Senso-ji Temple on the Metro Street. They have a terrace seat where you can bring your dog. I ordered the Mini Ebi Tempura Donburi (shrimp, asparagus) and the Mori Soba Set (1,300 yen). The soba noodles were freshly made and boiled in the room next to us. They were delicious.

Today, I parked my car at the Skytree parking lot with the aim of visiting the Sumida Park Cherry Blossom Festival and took a leisurely walk along the river. Unfortunately, there were no food stalls that I was looking for. So, I decided to take a stroll to Sensoji Temple. Even though it was a weekday, the Nakamise Street was crowded! Among the many soba restaurants, I chose to visit "Towada" as it had a simple menu that made it easy for me and my partner to choose. I ordered the "Mini Tendon Set" while my partner ordered the "2 Shrimp Set". The soba had a good texture and smoothness, the mini tendon sauce was delicious, and the shrimp was fresh and juicy. The tempura was crispy and the soba broth was thick and flavorful. It was a perfect match for me, and I enjoyed watching the skilled craftsmen making soba noodles at the entrance of the restaurant. The noodles were freshly made, boiled, and squeezed, providing a delightful dining experience.

I wanted to eat delicious curry Nanban soba, so I visited the top of the Asakusa landlady association, Ms. Towada. However, they didn't have curry Nanban soba, so I ordered the service set (1,300 yen). It came with soba, mini tempura bowl with shrimp and green beans. I also ordered the tempura of duck and grated yam. I was worried that the service set might not be enough, but the soba had a generous portion and I was very satisfied. The duck was also very delicious with plenty of fat. Of course, the tempura was fluffy too. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will come again.

A Tokyo resident recommended visiting the Skytree for sightseeing, and then having lunch in Asakusa. They tried to eat at a few popular places but the lines were too long, so they ended up at Asakusa Towada Metro Street branch. They waited in line for about 15 minutes and were seated after 3 groups. They ordered the lunch set (soba and mini shrimp tempura bowl) for 5 people for 1300 yen. The soba noodles, which were not 100% buckwheat, had a good texture and were served with a generous amount of dipping sauce. The shrimp tempura and sauce were also tasty, but the portion might not be enough for those with a big appetite. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

In Asakusa Kannon Street, there are many shops lined up, but one shop that stands out even more is this shop, a branch run by a female owner who also served as the president of the Asakusa Female Owner Association. In this area, shops tend to close early, so be careful. After enjoying dishes like dashimaki tamago, a great way to finish is with Kuretsubo Soba. The soba, which uses a daikon-like Kuretsubo kabu as a condiment, was excellent and was even featured in a certain gourmet manga.

I found a soba restaurant while looking for a place to eat Toshikoshi soba. I went there in the afternoon and was able to get in after waiting for about 20 minutes. The menu seemed more limited than usual that day, so I ordered the set meal. The soba was smooth, and the shrimp tempura was bigger than I expected. The soba broth that came at the end was incredibly thick, which surprised me. I don't usually eat soba at restaurants, but it's definitely different and delicious compared to making it at home.

Visited Asakusa with my beloved dog. It was fine to sit outside with my dog. You can see them making soba through the glass windows. Ordered the Thunder Gate Set and Kamaage Udon. When the order arrived, there was a huge crowd. People passing by were peeking in, making it impossible to eat (laughs). And just like that, the empty seats in the restaurant quickly turned into a long line. Contributed to the business (laughs). The Somen noodles were easy to eat and had a good portion. The soba broth was rich and delicious. It would be nice if the staff could be a bit more friendly, but I've noticed the same with a sushi place nearby. Maybe that's just how people in Edo are?

I ordered a set of zaru soba and mini tendon. It cost around 1,200 yen. I also added a dashimaki tamago. The soba was firm with a good bite, and the broth was rich and flavorful, just how I like it. The soba-yu at the end was thick and comforting. The tendon was delicious with a sweet sauce. It was a busy lunchtime on a holiday, so the seats were almost full. Thank you for the meal.

"Located in Asakusa, Tenwada is a soba restaurant known for its female owner. This is their second branch. Even my husband, who usually doesn't like to pay high prices for soba, was satisfied.
What we had:
- Mori Soba (soba noodles served with dipping sauce) - 700 yen
- Eggplant simmered in broth - 600 yen
We even used the broth from the eggplant dish to drink with our soba."

Around 1:30 pm on a regular weekday, the weather was sunny and there were many customers (the second floor had plenty of space). The service lunch special (soba) was priced at 1200 yen, which included soba noodles and a mini tempura rice bowl. You can add chopped green onions and wasabi to the dipping sauce for the soba. The slightly whitish soba noodles were smooth and delicious. The tempura rice bowl consisted of shrimp and snow peas tempura with a flavorful sauce over the rice. The restaurant is located on a street slightly away from Nakamise Street. Despite it being lunchtime, it was easy to get a table due to it being a weekday. The prices were reasonable for a tourist area. It was a satisfying and delicious meal. Thank you for the meal.

Soba restaurant in Asakusa. Service set for 1,200 yen with a small draft beer included, which was convenient. The soba noodles were smooth and delicious. The tempura bowl had only shrimp and green beans, but they were freshly fried and tasty. They were able to accommodate a baby stroller for entry.

I stopped by a local soba shop on my way back from shopping, as I needed to be back at work by 3 o'clock. Normally, there would be a line, but I was able to get in easily this time. I ordered a set of mori soba with shrimp tempura. The Edo-style soba was elegant and different from what I usually have in my area. The soba broth was rich and delicious. I would like to visit this place again. My friend had the duck soup soba, which was also delicious. I definitely want to try it next time. As expected, Asakusa has many delicious restaurants. Once things settle down, I will also visit my favorite places.

I visited a rare kabu-oroshi soba restaurant in Asakusa! I arrived around 1 pm and although the first floor was full, I was quickly seated on the second floor as I had a child with me. They had a lunch set menu and I ordered the kabu-oroshi soba instead of the usual daikon-oroshi soba, along with a mini tendon. The food arrived promptly and the soba had a mild flavor with a hint of spiciness, making it very easy to eat. The soba noodles were firm and delicious, with a strong soba flavor that didn't lose to the kabu. The tempura in the tendon was not greasy and the sauce was not too heavy, making it a satisfying meal. It was so delicious that I could have even ordered a large portion of soba. Thank you for the meal!

This busy street, which was less crowded due to COVID-19, had a packed restaurant where you can enjoy delicious soba noodles. The interior of the restaurant is clean, and the soba noodles have a great texture and a smooth finish. They also offer a variety of appetizers.

I attended a video shoot at a studio in Asakusa for a new concept showroom. For lunch, my colleague K took me to a soba restaurant where he used to work part-time during his student days. The name of the restaurant was "Yamitsuki Soba," which caught my attention. When I asked the staff about it, they explained that it was soba served with pickled turnips, wasabi stems and roots in soy sauce, and tempura crumbs. Following my colleague's lead, I ordered a large serving. I took a bite of the soba on its own first. It had a nice aroma, a firm texture, and was smooth to eat. I poured the soba dipping sauce into the soba cup with condiments. The refreshing taste of grated turnips combined with the richness of tempura crumbs made for a delicious and easy-to-understand flavor. The price was ¥1,200. The restaurant's name seems to be inspired by Lake Towada in Aomori Prefecture...
