Located in a back alley near Kabukicho TOHO Cinema, this is the second branch of Menya Nishiki, a noodle shop in Ogawamachi. The shop is open from 6pm to 3pm the next day, reflecting the local area's characteristics. While the shop in Ogawamachi has switched to using the broth of one of Japan's top three chicken breeds, this branch still offers duck broth ramen. I visited on a Sunday afternoon with only two customers before me. The menu includes duck broth ramen, duck broth seafood ramen, and tsukemen with sansho pepper ramen. As it was my first visit, I chose the duck broth soy sauce ramen. I received my order ticket and the ramen was served in about 4 minutes. The toppings included duck meat chashu, bamboo shoots, chopped green onions, grilled green onions, and mitsuba. The duck broth had a rich umami flavor while still being light. The duck and green onions had a good balance of oiliness, perhaps reflecting the local taste preferences. The thin straight noodles from Mikawa-ya had a nice firm texture. The duck meat chashu was tender with no unpleasant smell. The grilled green onions were sweet and paired perfectly with the duck meat. The contrast with the chopped green onions was also great. This ramen was well-balanced and easy to eat, making it a perfect choice after a drinking session or when feeling hungover. I am curious about trying the sansho pepper ramen and other limited-time menu items, so I would like to visit again. In mid-December, a third branch called "Nishiki Chukasoba" is set to open at the former location of Mutepo in Ikebukuro, which I am also looking forward to. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Noodle Shop Nishiki @Shinjuku Char Siu Duck Dashi Shoyu 1360yen Char Siu Bowl with Seared Char Siu 450yen Arrived at 5 am, no line. Got my bowl in about 10 minutes. The soup has a main duck flavor with a mild soy sauce taste, making it light. The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles with a smooth and chewy texture. The quality of the duck char siu is high, with a strong meat flavor without any strong taste. The toppings like green onions and bamboo shoots complement the duck well. One of the top ramen shops open until morning.

They specialize in duck broth and offer a bowl that will satisfy those who love it! [Review] ☆Special Duck Broth Soy Sauce Ramen 1,360 yen Thin straight noodles in a clear soup full of the umami of duck broth. The toppings include large wontons, 4 slices of duck chashu, and a seasoned egg. Personally, I'm not a big fan of duck broth, but this one had a taste close to the typical soy sauce ramen without the unique strong flavor, so it was a satisfying dinner for me! Thank you for the meal!

I visited before the first train. ▼Food eaten - Duck tsukemen - Stamina rice ▼Payment method Food ticket The duck tsukemen was delicious. The noodles and soup soaked in well. The orange was also good, refreshing the palate. The stamina rice had a rich flavor and was excellent. I'm curious about the limited menu items, and since the business hours are convenient, I would like to go again.

Visited around 4 AM. There were about 5 other customers inside the restaurant. Purchased the Duck Dashi Shoyu Tsukemen (1100 yen) from the ticket machine and sat at the counter. After waiting for about 5 minutes, the dish arrived. Noodles: Unexpectedly thin straight noodles soaked in kombu water. They were quite slippery with a soft texture and lacked chewiness. Dipping sauce: A Japanese-style dipping sauce with a strong duck broth flavor. It had a hint of sweetness, similar to soba dipping sauce, without any sourness or spiciness. Toppings: Duck chashu, seaweed, orange, wasabi(?), and green onions, menma, and mitsuba in the dipping sauce. Overall: A unique tsukemen with thin noodles. I personally prefer noodles with a firmer texture. The slippery texture due to the kombu water made the dipping sauce disappear quickly. The duck broth was excellent and to my liking, with a good balance of sweetness. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed it. It's interesting that the restaurant closes at 3:00 PM, but that's Kabukicho for you!

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. No other customers, the restaurant was clean. Ordered the special duck broth soy sauce ramen for 1,360 yen. The special option includes a large dumpling, seasoned egg, and 4 slices of chashu for an additional 380 yen. The noodles were thin. The toppings were on the light side. The chashu was small pieces of duck meat, 4 slices. The dumpling was decently sized and deliciously juicy. The taste was indeed good. The cost performance is not great.

I didn't know what ramen to choose, so on a holiday night, my companion chose Sansho ramen, and I chose tsukemen to avoid overlap. However, this was a mistake. When I compared the two, the ramen was overwhelmingly more delicious. The tsukemen had a slimy texture that left me feeling tired of eating.

Located 7-8 minutes from Shinjuku Station, right in the heart of Kabukicho, this popular restaurant specializes in soy sauce ramen. On this day, I ordered the special duck broth soy sauce ramen for 1,360 yen. The soy sauce had a perfect appearance, with a duck meat broth that was slightly sweet and clean. The noodles were thin and had a nice texture due to the whole wheat flour. The toppings included wontons, seasoned egg, 4 slices of duck meat, and white onions. The refined duck meat paired well with the onions. While it wasn't overly bold, the ramen was subtly delicious, a top-notch soy sauce ramen. Thank you for the meal.

#Fish and Shellfish Ramen for 980 yen at Men-ya Nishiki#This time, I visited Men-ya Nishiki in Kabukicho for the 7th time this year. I ordered the fish and shellfish ramen for 980 yen, which is mainly made with boiled fish. It was my first time coming here since they increased the prices, but the fish and shellfish ramen was as delicious and consistent as ever, with a rich flavor that goes well with the thin noodles. This visit marked my 300th bowl of ramen this year.

Around 10:30 in the morning, I had a slightly late breakfast. I had soy sauce ramen, which was perfect for a morning ramen with its gentle flavor. I ate it all in one go. The chashu was delicious too. The lack of a strong punch in the flavor made me want to keep eating. It was really delicious.

I visited on a weekday night around 8pm and there was no line! I ordered the Ajitama Duck Dashi Shoyu Ramen. The soup had a rich soy sauce flavor with duck broth, which concentrated the deliciousness of duck oil. The noodles were thin and made by Mikawa-ya, and they paired well with the soup. The duck meat was cooked to perfection and tender. The seasoned egg was soft with a runny yolk. The taste of the ramen was similar to Hayashida. Thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since I visited. I ordered the rice as well, which has increased in price by about 200 yen compared to last time. The visual presentation is almost the same as before, but I think there wasn't any grilled green onions last time? The dish includes 4 pieces of duck chashu, a boiled egg, wonton, shinchiku, mitsuba, grilled green onions, and chopped green onions. The soup, made with duck broth, is delicious and I finished it all. The noodles are from Sanpoya, which I really like, so they are perfect and delicious. The duck chashu, boiled egg, wonton, and shinchiku are all tasty. The shinchiku is in a square shape, which is really good. However, the only disappointment is the rice. It has an unpleasant smell and taste, probably due to using cheap rice that has absorbed moisture. Since they pay attention to the ramen quality, I hope they also pay attention to the rice, even if it's an additional cost. The ramen is delicious!

I went to my favorite Nishiki Ramen again, and it was so delicious! I highly recommend it from the bottom of my heart! The duck meat was tender and incredibly tasty, and the soup was amazing... The broth was rich and really satisfying. I always end up ordering the special duck broth soy sauce ramen because it's my favorite, but I think next time I should try something different. This time, I also tried the special sansho pepper ramen, and it was delicious! It has a nice kick of sansho pepper, so I highly recommend it to anyone who likes that flavor. Nishiki is the best... I already want to go back. They're open in the morning (and even at lunch), which is great. The restaurant isn't very big, just a counter, so you might have to wait a bit if it's busy, but they have a quick turnover. Whether you like rich ramen, Jiro-style ramen, or tonkotsu ramen, I hope you give it a try at least once.

I visited the restaurant after seeing good reviews on Tabelog. The air conditioning was broken today, so the inside of the restaurant was hot. There were not many customers. I chose the fish salt ramen with a seasoned egg as I was curious about what soy sauce, fish salt, and sansho ramen were. The smell of the ramen was not fishy at all. The soup was rich and brought out the flavor of the fish well. However, the portion was small. I don't like it when ramen places skimp on soup. The straight noodles were not my favorite type, but they were delicious. They had a good texture and went well with the soup. In conclusion, it was a delicious and fantastic ramen. I would like to try other flavors as well. I must revisit this place. Thank you for the meal.

Nishiki Ramen Shinjuku Kabukicho Branch in Shinjuku: "Special Duck Broth Soy Sauce Ramen" I had been curious about this duck broth ramen for a while, so I was happy to finally go there. The location is right in the middle of Kabukicho, so just navigating through the crowds can be a bit tiring, but the special duck broth soy sauce ramen I ordered was delicious! The soup was tasty and instantly made me forget the fatigue of coming all the way to this place. The noodles were straight and thin. The bamboo shoots were thick. The duck chashu was juicy with just the right amount of saltiness, very delicious. The flavored egg had a creamy yolk and a soft texture. What surprised me the most was the size of the wonton - it was like a golf ball-sized piece of meat!! But it was juicy, perfectly seasoned, with a large skin and very filling. The grilled white leeks added a fragrant and sweet taste, which was very delicious. I'm sure this place is loved by the people around Kabukicho. I want to go back and eat there again! Thank you for the meal. #NoodleLover #NoodleLady #Noodlestagram #Ramen #Tokyo #NishikiRamen #Shinjuku #Kabukicho #SeibuShinjuku #SpecialDuckBrothSoySauceRamen

Every year around mid-July, I went to try the cold corn ramen. Located right in the heart of Shinjuku Kabukicho, it's a bit hard to escape from the aggressive touts. The operating hours are quite irregular, from 5 pm to 3 pm the next day, which is convenient for after-work visits. Inside the restaurant, there is a ticket machine on the right where you can purchase the limited edition ramen. The cold corn ramen arrives with a salad on top, giving it a healthy appearance. The salad with balsamic sauce can be eaten as is or mixed into the soup for added acidity. The chicken breast chashu is tender and delicious. The soup is slightly thick, but the corn flavor is not overpowering. The noodles are chewy and mix well with the soup. Cold corn ramen is popular during this season, so it might get busy.

I revisited Nishiki-san, a popular restaurant in Kabukicho! They open in the morning which is unique to Kabukicho. Last time I had the duck broth soy sauce ramen, I think. I was actually aiming for the limited edition noodles but they were sold out. I wonder what time is best to go? Haha. So this time, I tried the flavored egg "sansho" ramen! When I took a sip of the soup, the subtle sansho flavor burst out, complementing the rich soy sauce broth perfectly. The numbing sensation was incredibly delicious. The thin noodles had a refreshing texture that paired well with the soup. It was scorching hot that day, but this ramen was light and satisfying. The grilled leeks in the soup added a nice touch. Next time, I'll definitely try the limited edition noodles! Thank you for the meal!

I was hungry in the morning and went to Shiki for the first time in 8 years! It's amazing that such delicious ramen is served in the morning! I went after drinking alcohol, so next time I want to go sober. My friend's limited-time cold ramen was also delicious, with an Italian twist.

The broth is rich and creamy. The flavor of the chicken is well extracted and delicious. The green onions are soft, sweet, and amazing. I wish there were more green onions to eat. I didn't like the taste of the seasoned egg. What kind of spice is it? It gives a slightly refreshing sensation. The location was a drawback and I couldn't go for a long time, but I want to go again.

Here you can enjoy exquisite duck broth soy sauce ramen! Located in the bustling Kabukicho area of Shinjuku, this restaurant is open late at night and early in the morning, which is very convenient. I went there looking for tsukemen, but unfortunately they don't serve it on days when they are short-staffed. Since I was already there, I tried their famous duck broth ramen. I love duck meat, and this bowl had four slices of tender and delicious duck meat on top. It also came with wontons and a seasoned egg, making it a truly satisfying meal. The soup, infused with duck broth, was incredibly flavorful and delicious. The noodles were thin and firm, with a great texture that went down smoothly. If you ever find yourself in Shinjuku and craving duck broth soy sauce ramen, I highly recommend checking out this place! On Friday night, after having tea with a friend in Shinjuku and parting ways at 8 pm, I was quite hungry and decided to stop by Nishiki-san for some ramen before heading home. It had been a hot day, reaching 35 degrees, so I was hoping they had tsukemen. Luckily, they had a limited edition cold clam noodles for 900 yen, so I bought two tickets and took a seat at an available counter. The dish looked vibrant and had a solemn atmosphere. It was a luxurious feast of clams with varieties like flat clams, small clams, and honbinosu clams. The noodles were firm and had a strong texture, and the soup had a delicate salt base flavor. Personally, I would have liked more of a clam taste in the soup. The first bite felt quite oily, but it didn't bother me later on. Each type of clam was amazing, with the small clams being large and easy to chew, the flat clams having a rich umami flavor, and the honbinosu clams being slightly spicy. The presentation was meticulous and elegant, almost like a dish from a high-class restaurant rather than ramen. Some people might find it a bit different from traditional ramen, but overall, it was a well-crafted and sophisticated bowl.
