Order: Special ramen for 1800 yen Visit date: January 24, 2023 (Tuesday) Visit time: 10:50 AM Store situation: 1 person waiting outside Opening time: 11:00 AM, Closed on: No regular holidays Order: Ticket machine, water: self-service 1. Details of the ramen: The soup is a combination of chicken and pork clear broth with seafood broth, slightly transparent with a rich soy sauce color and flavorful oil on the surface. The noodles are homemade medium-thick curly noodles, served with rare pork loin chashu, pork belly chashu, one piece each of roasted pork, wonton, seaweed, bamboo shoots, and green onions. 2. Soup: The aroma of the broth and soy sauce is delightful. When you take a sip, the umami of the seafood broth gently blends with the chicken and pork, creating a robust and creamy flavor. The thick broth indicates the generous use of ingredients. A very delicious soup! 3. Noodles: The noodles have a smooth and slippery texture, strong elasticity and chewiness, providing a pleasant mouthfeel that complements the soup well. It's a delicious noodle with excellent throat feel. 4. Ingredients: All the meats are delicious! The fragrant roasted pork is juicy and incredibly tasty, offering a delightful texture and umami. Everything is carefully prepared, and the wonton is also recommended! 5. Other: Is this the third branch of "Mendokoro Honda" near Akihabara Station? The shop located near Kanda Station has a unique name with "Honda" written in kanji as "本田". The concept of a noodle business is also unique and interesting. The shop is already popular, and the Honda series is likely to continue its top-level taste and popularity. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Visited the restaurant on Saturday at noon. There were 4 people waiting for a table as the restaurant was full. I purchased the "Homemade Handmade Tsukemen (dipping noodles) Upper Level for 1400 yen" from the ticket machine before entering. I handed it to the staff while waiting in line. The restaurant is spacious, so I was able to enter in about 5 minutes. The noodles arrived first after about 5 minutes. They were thick curly noodles served with roasted chicken, seasoned egg, and seaweed. I tried the noodles first before the dipping sauce arrived. They were a bit powdery but slid down smoothly due to the high water content. The portion of noodles was not large (around 180g by default), so I recommend getting a large serving or adding the Ooyama chicken rice if you're hungry. About 3 minutes after the noodles arrived, the dipping sauce came. It looked like a clear soup but had a slight cloudiness. The soup had a chicken broth base with umami from seafood, and it was salty enough to be drinkable on its own. The final soup refill was delicious, so be sure to order it. Personally, I found the chicken served with the noodles and the pork in the soup refill to be outstanding. Especially the pork had a great umami flavor and a nice texture that I haven't experienced elsewhere. I would like to visit again to try the premium level next time. Thank you for the meal.

The other day, I had some business in Kanda and visited Honda Menkyo Kanda Nishiguchi Ekimae store (^-^) I arrived around 12:30 and found that about 80% of the seats in the restaurant were occupied, so if a popular restaurant in Kanda has 80% of its seats filled on a weekend, it must be quite popular! Orders are made through a ticket system, where you can find a ticket machine on the right side after entering the entrance. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a wooden design, and there are about four counter seats and table seats available (^o^) This time, I ordered the regular tsukemen. On the counter seats, there are homemade shichimi (seven spice blend), vinegar, and seaweed salt on the table (°▽°) There is also a noodle making room in front of the counter, which is located on the left side after entering the entrance!! After being seated, the dish was served in about 6-7 minutes (^O^) The noodles used were simple but shining flat curly thick noodles. When I tasted it, it reminded me of udon noodles ^o^ The soup is a simple soy sauce-based broth with a deep flavor. Before dipping the noodles into the soup, I tried it with seaweed salt first (^-^)/ I sprinkled a little seaweed salt on the noodles and then poured the soup over it. The crispness of the seaweed salt and the chewiness of the flat curly thick noodles combined in a new sensation!! Even when eaten with the regular soup, the noodles were well coated with the broth, providing a satisfying chewiness in the mouth \(//∇//)\ I also tried the soup refill and finished the meal (╹◡╹) In a way, I feel like I'm getting addicted to these noodles (laughs) Thank you for the delicious meal, Honda Menkyo! ♫

16:30 Arrived at Honda Men-gyo Kanda Nishiguchi Ekimae store. Ordered homemade hand-kneaded tsukemen for 1,000 yen and homemade hand-kneaded ramen for 1,000 yen. The noodles are the same, but when eaten as tsukemen, they have a slightly stronger wheat aroma and a smooth texture, similar to Musashino udon noodles, while when eaten as ramen, surprisingly they are soft and fluffy like Menkurai noodles. I personally preferred the ramen. The soup for the tsukemen is a sweet and sour chicken broth similar to Daikoken, while the ramen soup has a gentle bonito flavor without the sourness. Both were delicious, but the tsukemen soup felt a bit weak when paired with cold noodles. The chashu was average in terms of flavor and texture. The menma was dark in color and thin, but tough and not very flavorful. For the tsukemen, I chose to have ginger and sansho pepper in the soup, which added a fun twist to the flavor. Although the restaurant is known for their tsukemen noodles, I believe those who do not particularly like Daikoken-style noodles should opt for the ramen instead. Personally, I preferred the ramen.

First time trying this ramen shop. I usually prefer salt ramen, but I decided to go with soy sauce this time since it's recommended. The special ramen came with three types of meat including wontons, and it was very filling. The wide, curly noodles had a unique texture, and although soy sauce might be a better match, I personally preferred this one.

The dipping soy sauce ramen in Akihabara's Honten for 1100 yen didn't quite hit the spot for me. The noodles were decent, with a good chewy texture and a nice flavor from the powder. However, I felt that the soup didn't quite match well with the noodles. Adding the soup to the noodles seemed to overpower the noodle's flavor, and the oil felt a bit intrusive. The soup base came with a choice of either sansho pepper or ginger, and I chose the sansho pepper, but there was too much leftover soup and not enough for dipping. Overall, it wasn't to my liking - the compatibility between the noodles and soup is crucial, isn't it?

I recently visited a ramen shop that was featured on a TV show called "Matsuko no Shiranai Tsukemen no Sekai" (The World of Tsukemen That Matsuko Doesn't Know). I arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm and there was almost no wait. I purchased my meal ticket at the modern ticket machine at the entrance. I decided to go for the special tsukemen, which typically means it comes with all the toppings. However, this shop's special tsukemen had an abundance of meat toppings including large slices of roasted pork, duck meat, chicken breast, and grilled chicken thigh. Additionally, there were two seasoned soft-boiled eggs on top, as well as sliced roasted pork and two wontons in the dipping sauce. It was a protein-rich meal. The tsukemen broth was a slightly cloudy soy sauce flavor. Apart from the meat toppings, there were chopped green onions and what seemed like store-bought pickled bamboo shoots. The noodles were hand-kneaded whole wheat noodles with a chewy texture, similar to Sanuki udon. They were served in a normal portion size of 200g, which was just right. The soup base for dipping was a luxurious blend of dried fish and kelp. In the summer, you can choose between ginger or Japanese pepper for added flavor. I opted for the Japanese pepper. The amount of soup for dipping was just right, and it blended perfectly with the noodles after finishing them. It was a long time since I had encountered such delicious soy sauce tsukemen. I look forward to visiting the main branch, "Mendokoro Honda," in Akihabara next time.

I visited "Matsuko no Shiranai Sekai" around 16:15 and was able to enter without waiting in line. The shop uses a touch panel ticket machine outside, where you can purchase your meal ticket. They accept credit card and barcode payments as well. It takes about 8 minutes to cook the noodles after you place your order. The homemade noodles were amazing, with a perfect texture. The soy sauce soup was well-balanced and delicious. I was surprised by how tender the chicken was! It must have been cooked at a low temperature. They offer two types of soup for soup-wari, "sansho" and "ginger". My husband chose "sansho" and I chose "ginger" to compare. Just like Matsuko said, "sansho" was refreshing and "ginger" felt like it would warm you up in winter. I would definitely come back for their delicious tsukemen that never gets old.

[Waiting Time & Order] - Visited before 7 pm on a weekday. There was no line, and the restaurant was relatively empty. It took less than 10 minutes to receive the food. - Ordered the Special Tsukemen (1800 yen). - Payment is done through food tickets. [Impressions] To cut to the chase, it didn't exceed my expectations. Firstly, it's a matter of personal preference, but I realized that I prefer Tsukemen noodles that are not hand-rolled. I felt the powdery texture quite strongly. However, the noodles have a strong impact, so I think they would really appeal to those who like them. The noodle portion is not that large, so I recommend getting the large serving if you have room for it. Another reason why it didn't quite click with me was the somewhat underwhelming impression of the chashu (sliced roast pork). I remember the chashu from the shops where they trained at Honda being incredibly delicious. However, the chashu from Honda Menkyo lacked a lasting impression. The roast chicken thigh was nicely fragrant when grilled, but the pork chashu was somewhat lacking. The absence of my favorite smoked flavor may have been a significant factor as well. The dipping sauce is delicious, with a rich animal-based broth and a lingering umami from the dried sardines. The sharp soy sauce was also memorable. It's interesting that you can choose between ginger or sansho pepper for the soup base. I chose ginger, so I was able to finish the meal feeling refreshed. I've rambled on with my thoughts, but the service and atmosphere were great, so I recommend it to those who are interested to give it a try.

I visited around 18:00 on a weekday. There were many people who had just finished work at the shop. The ticket machine was outside and electronic money could be used, which was convenient. The noodles were different from regular tsukemen, curly and chewy, very delicious. The soup was light soy sauce flavor, which I think women would also enjoy. For the finishing touch, you could choose ginger or sansho pepper in the dipping soup, and I chose ginger, which made it even lighter and I drank it all up.

The restaurant "Men-dokoro Honda" specializes in tsukemen. The thick noodles made from domestically grown wheat aim for a chewy and smooth texture, but today they were slightly softer, lacking a bit in soup adhesion. The chicken dish was a bit salty, but when combined with the dipping soup, it was just right. I would like to visit again when the operation is more settled.

The noodles looked delicious, so I stopped by on my way back from drinking. I ordered the regular tsukemen with extra noodles and a seasoned egg topping. Despite being a large portion, it looked a bit small. Well, since I had just been drinking, my stomach was full, but I wished for a bit more volume. The seasoned egg was good. The soup was light, and I wanted the noodles to be a bit firmer and chewier. The ginger flavor in the dipping soup was delicious.

It seems like they are promoting their noodles, but I didn't find them particularly delicious, maybe due to the way they were cooked. Although the flat noodles, thick noodles, and hand-kneaded noodles give the illusion of being tasty, they are actually quite ordinary when you try them. The dipping sauce doesn't stand out compared to other restaurants. The prices are also high. I won't be coming back. Sorry for leaving food behind.

Visited the restaurant featured in the "Matsuko no Shiranai Sekai" ramen special and ordered the homemade hand-kneaded tsukemen special. The tsukemen was indeed top-notch, with plenty of toppings in both the noodles and the dipping sauce, filling up my stomach nicely. However, at 1800 yen, it felt a bit pricey. The noodles were impressively springy and smooth due to the hand-kneading. While the broth was tasty as a soup base, it lacked a bit of punch as a dipping sauce. The show mentioned a trend towards light tsukemen, but I feel that the rich, umami fish-based tsukemen that was popular for a while had a distinct identity separate from ramen. Can the light tsukemen match the impact of a light ramen broth? The addition of a Sichuan pepper soup wari was a unique touch.

Menu I ate: Homemade hand-kneaded ramen (thick noodles) and Oyama chicken bowl. This is a new branch of the extremely popular restaurant "Honden Akihabara Main Store" located 1-3 minutes walk from Kanda Station West Exit. It opened in Kanda on January 15, 2023. The food was delicious! The noodles are thick, hand-kneaded curly noodles. They are made in-store, each noodle is hand-kneaded, boiled, and has a smooth and uneven texture. The soup is rich and balanced with a punchy flavor from a large amount of animal-based broth, dried fish, mackerel, bonito, and selected domestic kelp. The chicken and pork chashu were also excellent. I also enjoyed the Oyama chicken bowl as a side dish. I can't wait to go back soon to try their tsukemen. Thank you for reading until the end.

Honda Menkyo Kanda Nishiguchi Ekimae branch is a ramen restaurant known for its distinctive dipping sauce. The restaurant offers a light and clear soy sauce or salt-flavored dipping sauce made from dashi stock using ingredients like Oyama chicken, domestic pork, and high-quality domestic dried seafood, resulting in a rich and powerful umami flavor. Plenty of dried sardines are also used, providing a thick and punchy umami taste. The noodles are chewy flat noodles with a strong curl. With a water content of 53%, these high-hydration noodles are hand-kneaded before boiling, creating a strong twist and curl. This results in noodles with a variety of textures. The intense noodles, combined with the flavorful dipping sauce, create an exquisite taste. When ordering soup refills, a mini milk pitcher-like container is provided. The seafood-flavored Japanese-style clear soup with salt is delicious on its own. After adding the soup refill, you will experience pure bliss. Additionally, you can choose to add ginger or sansho pepper, allowing for customization to suit individual preferences. Furthermore, you can add extras like eggs, making it enjoyable to customize your meal.

Less crowded than Akihabara. If you show them that you follow them on social media, they will give you a free upgrade to a larger portion. A rare dining establishment that also operates during idol time. The variety and design of their soup bases are thoughtful, so I added this place to my regular spots. The water is also delicious.

This shop opened in January this year and specializes in tsukemen. It is Honda's second shop and aims for global expansion, striving for higher heights. The shop seems to have been meticulously designed by professionals, with a prime location and layout. I arrived at the shop at 11:30 am and there was no wait. I ordered the tsukemen for 1400 yen using the latest touch panel vending machine. The noodles were chewy and springy, made prominently on display. The broth was delicious, not too salty, and you could choose yuzu and sansho for the soup base, with a good amount of it. The seasoned egg, chashu, everything was perfect and delicious. The bowl with Hokusai pattern may be eye-catching for overseas customers, but the blue pattern looks nice. Overall, it's a good shop with attention to detail. However, I missed out on the free upsizing for lunch! Even though the noodles were delicious, I wish they had mentioned it. Thank you for the meal.

We came to this area to see Gaudi. But before that, we need to fuel up. We wanted to enjoy a lot of soup, so we chose ramen. Husband: salt flavor with egg, me: soy sauce flavor with wonton. The noodles are amazing as they are made fresh in the shop. You can watch them being made from outside and see them hand-kneading inside the shop, which is fun. The noodles are perfectly cooked, with a slightly al dente texture in the middle. The sensation of slurping and chewing is delightful. Noodles (flour) are truly something else. They can be chewy with more water or firm with less. We used a coupon from Ramen Walker for a large serving, but we wanted another bowl (like the summer limited cold mixed noodles) because it was so delicious. There was seaweed salt on the table. It could probably be eaten with just salt. Just like how delicious rice can be with salt, these noodles are dangerously good on their own. Thank you for the meal.

I was drawn to visit the restaurant by the poster for summer tsukemen. The cold noodle dish with a chilled Chinese-style sauce is perfect for forgetting the heat of summer. The chewy noodles paired with the tangy tomato flavor is exquisite and very satisfying. I plan to try the regular tsukemen next time. It was the perfect dish for this season.
