A friend from Hokkaido recommended this place to me, so I decided to check it out! I went on a Sunday around noon, and there was a bit of a line due to it being lunchtime. I ordered the zangi soup curry👆 and chose medium spiciness. It was easy to eat and very delicious. Towards the end, the soup got a bit spicy, so I should have mixed it well from the beginning. I think I will come back again!

It was past 9 pm on Saturday. There was no line. They provided paper aprons but no tissues. The soup was spicy with a hint of spices, and I found out from the official website that the vegetable in it was onion. It tasted like a curry onion soup and was delicious to drink. The unique thing about this place is that they fry the ingredients on skewers separately before adding them to the soup. This method seems to enhance the natural flavor and crispiness of the ingredients. It's a fantastic idea. It's a popular spot among women, and I enjoyed my meal. Thank you.

Visited on the first day of the 3-day weekend, Saturday around 5:30 PM. Waited for about 15 minutes with 2 groups ahead of us before being seated. It took about 10 minutes for our order to arrive. I ordered the spicy soup, but it was not as spicy as I expected, similar to medium-spicy at other places. It was a bit challenging to finish towards the end. When we left, there were about 6 groups waiting in line.

I visited the restaurant around 6:00 pm for a date. There were about 3 groups ahead of us, but we were seated as soon as a table was available, so the waiting time was almost non-existent. The menu was extensive with many toppings, so I think I wouldn't get tired of it even after multiple visits. I ordered a medium spicy curry, but I think I could have handled a spicier one since I like spicy food. My partner, who is used to spicy food, said the medium spicy was just right. I had the curry with raw lamb and vegetables, and the meat was tender with no unpleasant smell, making it very delicious!

I had a friend who was traveling in Hokkaido and posted about this restaurant on Instagram, so I got the name from them and found out there is a branch in Tokyo. The menu is extensive, with two soup options: standard and coconut, which is exclusive to the Ikebukuro branch in Tokyo. The spiciness level ranges from 1 to 9, and I recommend level 5 with the default setting. I chose to add extra rice (+100 yen) and cheese topping (+160 yen). At first, the soup tasted quite spicy and sharp, but I quickly got used to it and enjoyed the basil-flavored light soup. The vegetables were plentiful and delicious, even though they were just deep-fried. I felt like the frying process intensified the natural sweetness of the ingredients. This time, I opted for a lot of vegetables, so the taste was very refreshing. Next time, I might add the pork belly topping to enhance the richness of the dish, even though it's a bit expensive at 350 yen per serving. Overall, it was a very satisfying meal, especially for someone like me who tends to lack vegetables. I imagine these ingredients would be even more delicious in Hokkaido. Thank you for the meal!

Lunch revisit. I wanted to check the difference after entering another soup curry restaurant in Shinbashi the other day, which was not so great (lol). I ordered chicken wings and vegetables with the standard medium-spicy soup. The soup was rich and the vegetables had a strong natural flavor, which was delicious. And the combination of crispy juicy fried chicken wings, which I love, was satisfying as you can enjoy both soup curry and fried chicken. Honestly, the rice was somehow not so great, but the deliciousness of the soup curry more than made up for it. Thank you for the meal once again. However, the staff at this restaurant in Tobu Spice Restaurant Street is just so slow. I always have to wait at the register, and even when there are empty seats, it often takes a long time to be seated, so I'll add this comment.

I visited the restaurant around noon on a weekday and was seated at the counter since I was dining alone. The staff asked if it was my first time there, and when I said yes, they kindly explained how to place an order. After much deliberation, I decided to order the Vegetable Curry with 12 types of vegetables (spicy) without rice for ¥1,500 (¥50 cheaper without rice). It was incredibly delicious! I love spicy food, so I thought it could have been even spicier, but the level of spiciness was just right and easy to eat. The curry was packed with chunks of vegetables, and I was very satisfied. The soup was also amazing! It was the perfect lunch!

Located on the 12th floor of Tobu Department Store at Ikebukuro Station, this Sapporo Soup Curry restaurant was bustling with families during the summer holiday period. I arrived around 12:30 on a weekday and waited in line for about 20 minutes. I was originally aiming for the pork belly soup curry, but they had a limited-time, limited-quantity special featuring pork belly and beef hormone soup curry, so I opted for that. I ordered the Spicy Summer Vegetable Curry with Pork Belly and Beef Hormone (1,750 yen) with normal soup, medium spiciness, and a large 350g rice (+100 yen). The soup curry was served in about 10 minutes. The vegetables were large and chunky, with pumpkin, eggplant, okra, baby corn, wood ear mushrooms, mizuna, and a half-boiled egg. Carrots and potatoes (Inca no Mezame) were skewered. The pork belly was tender and lightly seared, adding a delicious smoky flavor. On the other hand, the beef hormone was seasoned with a spicy sauce and came in two small pieces. It was tasty but not as impactful as the menu name suggested. The rice was a blend of grains and was quite delicious. However, the star of the dish was the soup curry itself. It was spicy but not overwhelmingly so, with a straightforward spiciness that was easy to enjoy. It was so delicious that I finished it all while sweating profusely. The combination of the ingredients and the soup left me completely satisfied. I will definitely be revisiting this restaurant.

I wanted to try the summer limited tomato curry, but it was sold out by the evening. I tried the braised pork and 6 kinds of vegetable curry for 1680 yen. The original soup had a spiciness level of 4. The rice portion was 200g. The vegetables included pumpkin, eggplant, carrot, Inca wake, baby corn, watercress, and boiled egg. I usually order a small rice portion of 150g, but with 200g, I felt quite full. The large potatoes and carrots provided a satisfying crunch. The soup curry was delicious as always, and I left feeling satisfied.

Around 7:30 pm on a regular day. There were about 2 groups of customers in the restaurant, but it was not full so we were seated right away. Among the various menu options, I ordered the hamburger and vegetable soup curry with a spice level of 2. I chose a normal spice level, and indeed, I could hardly feel the spiciness, so this might be just right for those who are not good with spicy food!

Susukino Honten is a famous curry restaurant. I visited on Wednesday at 11:50, and the seating rate was around 80%. Due to the heat, I decided to have lunch at the station building. I found out that there is also a Suage in Ikebukuro, which I had missed before in Shibuya, so I visited for the first time today. I was drawn to the braised pork curry on the menu, but the crispy Shiretoko chicken seemed to be the recommended option, so I decided to order the braised pork curry with Shiretoko chicken topping, and also added cheese on top of the rice as recommended. When ordering, I looked at the front of the menu to decide on the dishes, then looked at the back to choose between changing the curry soup to Suage soup or the Ikebukuro original coconut soup, selected the spiciness level (I chose level 2), and then chose the rice portion size (I chose medium). The rice with cheese arrived in about 10 minutes, followed by the curry. There are various skewers in it! I started with the Shiretoko chicken, which was crispy on the outside and delicious. The vegetables are deep-fried as the name of the restaurant suggests, and personally, I think the deep-fried eggplant is the best. The braised pork was simmered until it was tender and delicious. Despite choosing level 2 spiciness, I didn't feel much heat, so I think I could have handled level 4. It's good that you can choose the level of spiciness, so it's safe for families with children. The total cost was 2,190 yen for the braised pork curry, cheese topping, and Shiretoko chicken topping. I was able to pay with PayPay, hoping to win the PayPay Jumbo, but unfortunately, I didn't win. Next time, I might try the recommended level 4 spiciness.

I visited the restaurant around 1:30 pm on 23/07. Even at this time, the place was almost full (it's a popular spot). The menu includes Chicken Leg and 7 kinds of vegetable curry for 1,450 yen, Salted Koji-marinated Seseri and 7 kinds of vegetable curry for 1,500 yen, Vegetable-rich 12 kinds of vegetable curry for 1,550 yen, Homemade Zangi and 7 kinds of vegetable curry for 1,550 yen, Crispy Shiretoko Chicken and 7 kinds of vegetable curry for 1,630 yen, Braised Pork and 6 kinds of vegetable curry for 1,680 yen, a slightly luxurious curry for 1,750 yen, etc. The order process is as follows: 1. Choose the base soup curry. I chose the Lamb and 8 kinds of vegetable curry for 1,650 yen. 2. Choose the type of soup. Choose between Original Soup or Coconut Soup, I chose Original Soup. 3. Choose the spiciness level. From mild to super spicy, I decided on medium spiciness. 4. Choose the amount of rice. I chose medium rice (200g) (minus 50 yen for no rice). After waiting for about 15 minutes, the Lamb and 8 kinds of vegetable curry were served. The curry soup had just the right amount of spice, not too overpowering. The vegetables such as okra, pumpkin, eggplant, carrot, broccoli, etc., were as listed in the menu. Some of the vegetables were grilled, which took some time. The lamb was mediocre, it didn't stand out against the soup. I ate the rice while sipping the soup. The bowl containing the soup was quite large, so the portion was generous. I was full by the end. Personally, I prefer thick, homely curries, so I won't be revisiting (it's not bad, just a matter of preference). Also, the value for money is not great, so I'm giving a critical evaluation. The other day, I found out that a soup curry restaurant I enjoyed at a Hokkaido fair at Seven Eleven is located in Ikebukuro, called "Hokkaido Soup Curry Suage Ikebukuro". Among the wide variety of menu options, I tried the recommended dish, "Crispy Shiretoko Chicken and 7 Vegetables Curry", with Suage soup (standard) and spiciness level set to spicy (recommended). It was delicious. The soup had a perfect balance of spices and umami, filled with plenty of vegetables and chicken, served with butter-fried rice. The combination was simply "delicious". The taste of the vegetables was particularly noteworthy, and the dedication to Hokkaido ingredients was admirable. Although everything was already great, I felt that a bit more boldness would make it even more interesting. The spiciness level was still quite mild, so I thought that a higher spiciness level might bring out more impactful spice flavors. I look forward to trying it with even spicier levels next time.

I would love to try other types of soup curry in Hokkaido someday.

I think soup curry is more delicious when eaten in Hokkaido, so I visited this place for verification. I have visited the same brand in Sapporo before, so I was sure it would be good. What I had this time was the Chicken Leg and 7 Vegetables Curry for 1,450 yen. It is 270 yen more expensive than in Sapporo, making me realize the high wages and cost of living in Tokyo. As a result, I think it is one of the top soup curries in Tokyo, but it is still more delicious in Sapporo. The difference in water is also significant, but the biggest difference is the depth of flavor in the vegetables. I consider soup curry to be a spice dish as well as a vegetable dish, so I am happy when the vegetables are delicious. The portion size is perfect.

Time has passed, so I decided to skip preparing dinner because I was tired. I came to this restaurant after a long time. I ordered the Chicken Leg and 7 kinds of Vegetable Curry for 1450 yen (with a small portion of rice). Chicken leg is the best, right? It's tender and cooked well, and you get a lot of it, plus I love chicken meat. When you squeeze the lemon that comes with the rice, you can enjoy a different taste. I always hesitate when to squeeze the lemon. Both before and after squeezing, it tastes delicious. And why are fried vegetables so delicious (laughs)? Well, I've heard that everything tastes good when fried in oil, and it really feels that way. It may not be good in terms of calories, but I can't resist eating it. Just like last time, it was delicious this time too. I have a feeling that even if I come again, I'll probably order the same menu... (I'm so predictable). Well, having a satisfying menu is a good thing!

Hello, this is pome (*^^*). The other day, I went to Ikebukuro station with a friend and tried soup curry at a place called "Hokkaido Soup Curry Suage". Located in Tobu Department Store, it was quite crowded. Luckily, we were able to enter and order in about 10 minutes. We ordered the "Garana Highball, Grilled Lamb Curry". We were served drinks right away and made a toast. The Garana Highball was just what we needed after a day of shopping. After enjoying our drinks, the curry arrived in about 15 minutes. The aroma of the spices was tantalizing, and I couldn't wait to dig in. The soup had a nice blend of spices with just the right amount of heat. The curry was packed with various ingredients, and the vegetables were sweet, while the lamb meat was tender and flavorful. The rice had red rice mixed in, which paired perfectly with the curry. At Suage, you can customize your curry and rice, so there are many different ways to enjoy the same curry. I would love to visit again to try more of their menu and customize my meal. I have been occasionally visiting a soup curry restaurant for about half a year now. It is located in the Tobu Department Store's restaurant floor. They have a counter, which makes it easy for solo diners like me to enjoy. I like that they offer a variety of ingredients, so I never get tired of it. You can eat plenty of vegetables, and they have different types of meat like chicken, lamb, bacon, etc., so I always try something new each time I go. Even though I think I'll just have vegetables, I end up adding some meat too... I'm not a fan of spicy food, so I usually go for a spice level of 2-3, which is just right for me. They serve rice with a slice of lemon, which adds a refreshing touch. I often choose the normal option, but I see on the menu that they also offer a coconut-based curry soup, so I'd like to try that someday.

I went during lunchtime and was fortunate to be able to enter without any trouble. I ordered the raw lamb and vegetable curry with 8 kinds of vegetables. I asked for a level 3 spiciness, but it wasn't very spicy for someone who likes spicy food, so I plan to order a higher level next time. The lamb meat was not smelly and very delicious, and the fried vegetables were also very tasty. Next time, I would like to try the coconut soup. I will definitely visit again.
