It's not at the level of a standing eating chain store. I was happy when I ordered a double portion because the amount of dipping sauce also doubled. Whether it's a standing eating place or a regular soba restaurant, when you order a large portion of soba, the dipping sauce often doesn't increase enough and runs out, so I end up drinking the soba broth as well. Thank you for the meal.

Inside Akabane Station's ticket gate, there is a restaurant. It was less than half full on a weekday at 7 p.m., maybe because of Obon (a Japanese holiday period). I bought a ticket with my Suica card at the ticket machine near the entrance and chose a limited-time menu item. The cold pork with sesame sauce soba cost 780 yen. It was more like room temperature than cold. It had plenty of pork. The rich sesame sauce seemed more suited for udon than soba. The soba had a good texture and surprisingly delicious. Since the soba was tasty, I might try a simpler dish next time.

I had zaru soba for the first time in a while. I've been here once before, and the soba here is still on the firm side. I chewed well to stimulate my satiety center! The taste was just delicious. And it's really affordable, which is great. I'm curious about the summer limited menu, so I might try it next time... but the soba here is quite firm, though.

When moving from Akabane, I stopped by a standing soba shop for the first time because I felt a little hungry. Among the standing soba shops at the station, this shop stands out for its clean appearance. When I saw the display outside, it said "Satoimo Croquette." What's that, it looks delicious. So I decided to order it. In front of the ticket vending machine inside the shop, I hesitated for a moment because it's hot but warm soba... but I was curious about the croquette, so I placed my order. It was around 600 yen, I think? After buying the ticket, I was told to wait nearby. But I was called in about 10 seconds, so it felt a bit rushed. I sat at the counter seat and started eating. First, the broth. It had a familiar taste of Kanto-style broth, not too strong, a comforting taste. Next, the soba. It was already soft because it was warm, but easy to eat. Lastly, the croquette. It was soaked in the broth, and I enjoyed it. The texture of the satoimo was a bit sticky, with a hint of sweetness in the filling. Hmm... I don't dislike it, but croquettes are definitely better with potatoes, haha. I finished it quickly and left Akabane. Thank you for the meal.

Every shop in the station was crowded and there was a bit of a line here too. I bought a meal ticket and waited. The prices were on the higher side, so I had some expectations. The amount of soba was small, but the taste was delicious, so I debated whether to order more, but I decided against it because I had a train to catch.

The soba restaurant at the station is very clean. They offer set meals, but the variety may not be very wide. The soba noodles are smooth and delicious, especially when eaten in the cool interior during the hot summer. It's not very crowded, so it might be a good place to pass the time when it's not busy.

I decided to have cold tempura soba at Sobai Ichi in Akabane Station. I was considering going to Fuji Soba because I wanted something light, but Fuji Soba has recently raised their prices, so I changed my mind and went to Sobai Ichi at Akabane Station. Even though Fuji Soba is expensive, going to an even pricier place like Sobai Ichi doesn't make sense... Despite the slightly high prices, I ordered the cold tempura soba ticket due to the hot weather. The restaurant was quite crowded even though it was an odd time. The location in the station is definitely a plus. Honestly, the soba was a bit tough even though it was served cold. Maybe I should have gone for the warm option? The tempura was decent, but the overall impression is that it's a bit overpriced.

I ordered the large-sized mekabu and tororo seiro. I wish they had given me a separate container for the soba dipping sauce. I wanted to enjoy the slippery texture with the soba sauce. The mekabu had a nice crunch and was delicious, but I wish there was a bit more of it. The tororo soaked up all the soba sauce, so I couldn't enjoy the soba broth. I should have asked if I could get more soba sauce.

At Sobaiichi in Akabane Station, I had the Sayama sweet potato croquette soba. I had some business in Akabane and decided to have a light breakfast before my meeting. I clicked on the button for the Sayama sweet potato croquette soba. Hmm, it's 600 yen - not cheap. The sweet potato croquette is delicious, no doubt about that. But you know, this isn't really croquette soba. Croquette soba should be made with cheap frozen croquettes that fall apart in the soba broth. These croquettes don't fall apart. Maybe I should have just gotten the regular tempura soba instead.

I used this shop located inside Akabane Station, past the ticket gates. I visited around 11:30 am on a weekday and the place was already quite crowded, with about 70% of the seats taken. Although there were some table seats, they were all occupied, so I ended up using the standing counter. Despite the busy atmosphere, there were 2 electronic ticket machines that accepted transportation IC cards inside the shop, and the service was quite speedy, with cold soba noodles being served in about 1 minute. This time, I ordered zaru soba, which cost just under 500 yen. The portion of soba noodles was a bit small, but there was a generous amount of dipping sauce poured into the bowl. As for the taste, it was easy to eat but lacked in aroma and texture. The thin noodles made it easy to consume, but they lacked a bit of chewiness. The aroma was also subtle, and overall, it felt like a decent quality for the price. The dipping sauce was also mild in flavor, slightly sweet, and easy to eat. Among standing soba shops, I think it offers a certain level of taste, but considering the price, the cost performance is a bit questionable.

I had the spring chrysanthemum tempura soba. It's always crowded whenever I go, but the service is very smooth and the staff is polite. What do you want to sprinkle sesame seeds on? Today is spring chrysanthemum tempura. It's crispy and has a slight bitterness. It's delicious. Thank you for the meal.

When returning from Akabane Station after 10 pm, I visited Sobaichi for the first time inside Ecute. Upon entering, I noticed two ticket machines right by the door. The prices for basic soba dishes seemed to start around 500 yen, which felt a bit on the higher side for a standing soba shop near the station. They had menu options like zaru soba and double serving of soba, giving it a more traditional soba shop feel. I ordered the kakesoba and negitoro don set for 720 yen and it was served in about 2 minutes. The set came without chopsticks, soy sauce, or condiments on the table, which I found a bit inconvenient for first-time visitors. The kakesoba had a subtle soba flavor, which was a pleasant surprise for a station soba shop. The noodles lacked a strong texture or chewiness but were relatively tasty for station soba. The soba broth seemed to be made mainly from bonito flakes, but the seasoning might have been a bit too strong, overpowering the umami flavor of the broth. The negitoro don set came with a generous amount of chopped negitoro, but the quality seemed average with a bit too much fat. The restaurant was clean and had a nice ambiance for a station soba shop, but the slightly higher prices and lack of clear self-service instructions could be improved. Overall, it was a decent meal.

After work, I got off at Akabane station and went to "Sobaiichi Ekimise Akabane" in Ecute Akabane. I bought a 400 yen kakesoba ticket with Suica. Next to the ticket machine, there was a notice about changing to cold soba. I thought this was a good idea, so I quickly told them my ticket number and asked for cold soba. When my number was called, I received a cold soba topped with kamaboko and garnished with chopped green onions. The noodles are thinner than the ones at Oedo Soba on the platform. It was delicious. I found it cooler and more comfortable here than at the shop on the platform. I stopped by the standing soba shop at Akabane station after a long time. I was oddly hungry and decided to have a snack before dinner, so I stopped by Sobaiichi on my way to transfer. I didn't feel like having fried food as a snack, so I opted for the domestic nori soba (\620 including tax). Unlike last time, I didn't have to hand over the food ticket, instead, they called out the number I received when purchasing the ticket. When my number was called, I took the tray to the standing space. On top of the soba, there was aonori and bonito flakes. Surprisingly, even though the soba was warm, the condiments on a small plate included chopped green onions and "wasabi". It caught me off guard a bit. When I tasted it, it had a clear and delicious kaeshi flavor, along with the aroma of aonori and bonito. The aroma was so strong that it appealed to my sense of smell even though I was a bit congested due to hay fever. Adding wasabi halfway through made it surprisingly delicious. It felt like eating ochazuke, which wasn't bad at all. I also had some soup as a snack. I returned the tray and boarded the Saikyo Line. It was my first visit in a year, and it was a fragrant and delicious bowl. I also learned about the good compatibility between warm soba and wasabi. Thank you for the meal.

On a regular weekday past 9 PM, I had some time to spare for a quick dinner while transferring at Akabane Station. I decided to visit Sobaichi at Ecute Akabane, a typical station soba shop where you buy a meal ticket and wait for your food to be served without handing over the ticket. Even at this hour, the place was crowded with salarymen on their way home, as well as young men and women. Despite being a standing soba shop, there were tables available inside, so it seems to be quite popular. The food was served quickly. After waiting for about 3 minutes in front of the counter, my order arrived, and I took it to my seat. I ordered the seasonal limited pork and onion curry soba. I was disappointed when the curry soba arrived. The soup was unusually scarce. It didn't feel like curry soba at all, more like soba with curry poured over it, lacking any soupiness. The curry itself was tasty with the pork and onions, but I couldn't shake the feeling of it being somewhat unsatisfying as I finished it.

I went to "Sobaiichi" located inside Akabane Station. As a beginner in standing eating, I was a bit lost in front of the ticket machine. ------------------------------------------ ▫️Chikuwa Tempura Soba 540 yen ------------------------------------------ The soba was served in just 1 minute, which was surprising. The sauce was on the sweeter side and the soba was a bit soft, but it was quick and easy to eat during a 10-15 minute break. The standing soba place was mainly filled with older men, making it a bit intimidating, but there are also counter seats and booth seats where you can sit. It was exactly noon and the place quickly filled up with customers.

Soba noodles inside the train station ticket gate. I tried the croquette soba with taro croquette, which was rare. The soba noodles were not too firm. The broth was slightly sweet. The taro croquette had a unique sticky texture and smooth taste. It was nice to have soba the morning after drinking. Thank you for the meal.

Inside Akabane Station, I had kakiage tamago soba where you crack the egg yourself. It had been a while since I had soba, and the scent of the buckwheat flour was nice. It was convenient to have a quick meal during my transfer at the station. #AkabaneStation #Soba #Mensta #Kakiage #Sobaiichi

It is a personal matter, but my shift has changed recently, and I have been getting Sundays off more often. I have been working in retail for almost 30 years, and weekends and holidays have always been workdays for me, so it feels strange. On a Sunday morning, I had the day off while my girlfriend had to work. As I was walking her to the station, I suddenly remembered a follower had been posting about "Sobaiichi" inside Akabane Station, so I suggested we go there for breakfast. It turned into a mini date to Akabane, which made her happy. Akabane on a Sunday morning at 7 am. Sobaiichi was open and quite busy. I had high expectations for this place, and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the soba and meat rice bowl set for 720 yen. The broth was sweet and gentle, and the soba had a good texture. The meat rice bowl was simple, with pork belly on top of rice and chili oil on the side. Mixing it all together created a delicious and satisfying meal. I especially enjoyed adding chopped green onions to both the soba and rice bowl. I was so focused on eating that I finished my breakfast in just 8 minutes! It was delicious and fulfilling! I really liked Sobaiichi! On the way back to the Utsunomiya Line, I had to wait for over 10 minutes, so I decided to find a coffee shop. That's all for now! ~Date~

You can finish your meal quickly even with a 10-minute transfer time. The taste was not something to savor, but the soba, broth, and tempura were all decent (not too strong in flavor, making it hard to distinguish the ingredients). You have to crack the soft-boiled egg yourself. There is alcohol at the entrance, but no handwashing area or wet towel.
