~This candy apple is a hit in dramas and on TV!✨~
In the drama "Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Dokomademo," this yogurt chocolate candy apple was used, causing a temporary waitlist of 4,000 people for online orders. This led to appearances on TV shows like Arashi ni Shiyagare, Ousama no Brunch, and ZIP, making CandyApple a hot topic.
One box was auctioned off for 1.4 million yen, using premium apple brands like Eji Brand apples tailored to the season to create authentic candy apples.
Before the opening of a new store, we visited to investigate the current popularity! The apples used today were "Early-ripening Fuji," a very sweet and delicious variety on its own.
There are various flavors like plain, cinnamon, cocoa, yogurt chocolate, kinako, matcha, black tea, and hojicha, and although we tried them all, it's hard to choose a favorite! Personally, I couldn't resist going back for more of the cinnamon, matcha, and plain flavors.
By the way, the price for a set of candy apple and a drink is 900 yen, which is surprisingly reasonable for the quality and quantity, right? I was very surprised! I chose freshly squeezed apple juice for my drink.
The energetic Candy apple started from the Daikanyama main store and will soon open in Harajuku, Yokohama (scheduled for 11/17), Machida (scheduled for 12/10), and Kichijoji (scheduled for 12/17).
The Machida store is planned to have an eat-in space, which is very exciting!
You can either eat the cut-type candy apple immediately or take it home, chill it for 1-2 hours, then cut it with a knife. It's convenient for taking photos at Instagrammable spots, enjoying a home cafe, or using it as a souvenir.
At first, I was skeptical about candy apples, but they were really delicious, so I wanted to introduce them right away with this quick post! Thank you for the meal!
