I wanted to eat delicious Thai food, and after talking about it for a month among the girls, we decided to go to "Hasu no Sato Shin-okachimachi Store" based on my selection. When we got off at Shin-okachimachi on the Oedo Line, it was about a five-minute walk. On the way there, we were intrigued by a fresh noodle direct sales place and made a detour before arriving. The inside of the restaurant is small, and it gets crowded with just six groups. There is a small terrace seating area as well, but it's better to avoid it during this season as rain can be a hassle. As expected of a popular restaurant, almost all seats have reserved signs, so making a reservation is a must. For the first order, we had Yamu Avocado (shrimp and avocado salad), Tod Man Kung (shrimp croquette), Gapao Kai Jow Ma (minced meat with fried century egg in sweet basil sauce), and Tom Yum Kung M. We started with the Yamu Avocado, which arrived very quickly. The avocado was cut into large pieces, and it was delicious with the sauce. It had squid and shrimp with a crunchy texture from the nuts. It was a sweet and savory salad that was quite filling. Next was the Tod Man Kung, which was described as a shrimp croquette but looked more like tempura. It was spicy with a nice shrimp texture. The Gapao Kai Jow Ma, with fried century egg, was a unique dish. The fried century egg was crispy on the outside and chewy inside, and the sauce was addictive. We all agreed it was delicious. We then ordered more dishes - Pahoi Rai (spicy miso stir-fried clams), Yam Wun Sen (vermicelli salad), Pad Thai (Thai-style fried noodles), and Poo Nim Poh Pong Curry (soft shell crab curry stir-fry). Pahoi Rai had a Korean-style seasoning and was delicious with the clams. The Tom Yum Kung, a classic Thai dish, had a perfect balance of spiciness and sourness. The Yam Wun Sen had a refreshing taste with a spicy kick. The Pad Thai seemed to have a Japanese twist with sakura shrimp flavor. Lastly, the Poo Nim Poh Pong Curry was mild in spiciness but rich in flavor. It had a coconut milk base with a complex taste. We were too full to have it with rice, but it's recommended to try it with rice. We ended with mango ice cream, which was flavorful with bits of mango in it. We wanted to try coconut ice cream as well, but it was sold out. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience with delicious Thai dishes.
