When I feel like having a bowl of house-style ramen for lunch, I head over to Ramen Ginfu in Akabane Lalagarden Shopping Street. I ordered my usual Chashu Ramen with extra rice. The soy sauce tonkotsu broth of the house style ramen is delicious without any unpleasant smell. The chashu is tender and flavorful. The small portion of rice complements the generous serving of ramen perfectly.

Personally, I would choose "Ginfu." They offer traditional rice for free with unlimited refills, which is reassuring in a time when many places are starting to charge for it. The toppings are a bit pricey at around 150 yen, so I may not recommend them. If you want to eat until you're full, definitely give it a try.

I revisited the restaurant in May of the 5th year of Reiwa, after 3 years. It was terrible. I used to go there often when the ramen was 500 yen, but since they raised the price to 650 yen, I started going to "Sui" across the street. Sui used to be 500 yen and now it's 550 yen. First of all, I was shocked that there weren't many customers even though I went at noon. It used to always be packed, and waiting a bit was common, but not today. Anyway, I wanted to eat a lot of tsukemen today, so I bought a tsukemen for 830 yen and a large portion for 50 yen with a food ticket. It came with rice, so I had a regular portion. First of all, I was surprised by how little there was. Is this really a large portion? It's really small. And there were dried rice grains stuck to the rice bowl. Maybe they didn't wash it well. The taste was just a normal pork bone and seafood-based tsukemen. Really average taste. The chashu was tough and the soy sauce flavor was too strong, not delicious. I realized once again. I won't come back. Maybe this restaurant will close soon.---Oh, I used to love this place, but they finally raised the prices, huh? 650 yen from 500 yen is tough. I wonder if I won't go anymore. The taste was good, and the unlimited rice refills were the best, but oh well, what a shame.

I visited the ramen restaurant "Ginfu Akabane" around 11 am on a certain day in May 2023. Located about a 5-6 minute walk from Akabane Station, the moderately sized restaurant was about 40% full. I selected the "Umakara Negi Ramen (Regular)" for ¥850 plus an extra order of bean sprouts for ¥100 using the ticket machine. I sat at the counter alone and presented my ticket. Rice was complimentary, so I requested a serving. I asked for all flavors to be "normal." After waiting for about 7-8 minutes, the food was served. The ramen included a large slice of chashu, 3 pieces of seaweed, plenty of spicy negi and bean sprouts, and spinach. The base was a creamy tonkotsu shoyu soup with noodles that had a good chewy texture. While it had the characteristics of a traditional ramen, it was surprisingly easy to eat. I was pleased that it didn't have an overpowering salty taste. I started by soaking the negi and bean sprouts in the soup until they blended well, then enjoyed them with the noodles. The crunchy texture of the negi and the chewiness of the bean sprouts were delightful. I savored the chashu and spinach with the negi. I customized the taste using the bean paste, grated garlic, and grated ginger on the table. I soaked the seaweed in the soup, mixed it with the bean paste, and enjoyed it with rice to experience the unique flavor of a traditional ramen shop. I could also enjoy the ramen rice, a guilty pleasure. I continued eating the Umakara Negi Ramen with added garlic for richness, and at the right moment, I added vinegar from the table to enhance the acidity. The complex flavors of the soup made it even more delicious. I customized the spiciness with the bean paste to suit my taste. After finishing the satisfying Umakara Negi Ramen with bean sprouts and rice, I felt content. The service, while not very attentive to the customers in the restaurant, was satisfactory in terms of the taste and portion size at "Ginfu." When I crave traditional ramen in Akabane, I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

I often visit this ramen shop late at night after work on weekends, and it's always bustling with customers who seem to be having a drinking party. The taste is good. Compared to other ramen shops nearby whose quality has declined, this ramen shop in Akabane feels like winning the lottery. I always order the large serving of tsukemen and add three extra spoonfuls of grated garlic to the dipping sauce. The stimulating effect of raw garlic helps me relax and relieve the fatigue of the week. However, since the antibacterial effect of garlic can kill all the good bacteria in the intestines, I make sure to replenish my gut flora with yogurt or other probiotics the next day. The rice is free and you can have seconds, so it's common to see young customers in suits eating lots of rice with their ramen as their main dish. It's a big celebration of carbohydrates. Perhaps this is where Japan's vitality comes from.

It had been a while since I last went, maybe it was my second time... I was craving ramen on my way back from work, and couldn't decide between a regular or a large serving. I ended up choosing a large serving because I was quite hungry. However, it was bigger than I expected and I couldn't finish it all. The Spicy Negi Ramen with lots of green onions was delicious. The restaurant was busy, but my order was ready relatively quickly!

Since visiting the Musashika Honten in Shin-Nakano, it had been a while since I had family-style ramen. Musashika was so delicious that I was moved, so there was quite a contrast. The staff were all foreigners, and the atmosphere was not great. The taste was also one of the worst I've had in family-style ramen, by far. I won't be visiting again.

Today, I had lunch in Akabane for ramen. I had some errands to run at a drugstore on Suzuran Street, so I decided to have lunch in the area again. I bought a meal ticket from the ticket machine inside the restaurant and ordered the Ajitama Tsukemen (¥930). I opted for the larger portion, which was free of charge. After a short wait, my meal arrived. The dipping sauce was a tonkotsu and seafood-based broth, on the lighter side. The flavor was slightly salty and left a salty aftertaste. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles, well-drained and served neatly. They had a smooth and satisfying texture, with a good amount of bounce. The dipping sauce coated the noodles nicely. Despite ordering the larger portion, the volume was not overwhelming and was just right. The chashu was bite-sized, with a moderate amount of fat and a meaty chewy texture. It had a subtle meaty flavor that slowly emerged. The menma had a nice crunchy texture. The seasoned egg was gooey and semi-soft, with a rich flavor. It was quite salty, but the portion size was good, and overall it was not bad. However, it seems like the ramen might be a better choice here. Broth: Soy Sauce Noodles: Medium-thick noodles Toppings: Chashu, Menma, Naruto, Seaweed, Green Onions

Near the Daiei in Akabane, there is a place with an entrance right next to the ticket machine. There are counter seats and box seats in the back. There are 5 groups and 8 people already inside, ranging from students to middle-aged men. The customers frequently ask for refills. I started with a large lemon sour (600 yen) and a Super Dry beer (380 yen). The beer and sour were served in chilled mugs and were delicious. I ordered gyoza (5 pieces for 270 yen) but they were lacking in filling and the taste was not great, so I left them. I also ordered a snack set (550 yen) with bamboo shoots, spinach, and char siu. The portion was generous, but the bamboo shoots had a good crunch, the spinach was just boiled and didn't taste great with the spicy sauce provided, and the char siu was average. In the end, I left the spinach and gyoza, ordered another drink, and left. The staff will buy additional drinks for you from the ticket machine. Next time, I'll try the drinks with ramen.

Friday around 10:00 PM Crowdedness: The interior of the restaurant has counter seats and table seats, and it is quite spacious. Overall Impression: Today was my first visit, and I ordered the Char Siu Ramen (850 yen). It seems like all ramen shops are having to raise their prices, which is tough. I've been going to ramen shops at a pace of two shops a day recently, so I've been accumulating a lot of 50 yen coins. This time, I visited with someone who loves tonkotsu ramen, and I had high expectations for this recommended shop. Rice was free, so I ordered some, and I ended up eating the soup as a side dish. The ramen was served in about 5 minutes, and the soup was so rich! It went well with the rice! I quickly finished it while adding the condiments (ginger, garlic) on the table. If there were onions, it would have been perfect! It's been a while since I've had tonkotsu ramen, and the ramen here is indeed delicious! The char siu was also of a high standard, and I was able to find a cost-effective shop after a long time. The noodle and fat amounts can be adjusted, which is also a plus. Personal Rating (out of 100 points): Atmosphere: 70 points Staff: 70 points Presentation: 70 points Taste: 80 points Cost-Effectiveness: 80 points *This is highly subjective. The average score is 70 points, and it is not common to score over 90 points.

Ramen for ¥650 plus vegetables for ¥120. It was my first visit to this shopping street in a long time. I had the new and unvisited "Akabane Ramen Sui" in mind, but for some reason, I ended up changing course and trying this unknown place right in front of it. When I entered the store, there was a moderate pork bone smell. Everything was pretty average. I ordered a half portion of rice, which was free. The soup had a thick and smooth texture, but the seasoning felt a bit weak. There was no seasoning on the table. From the first sip, I found the noodles to be unique in texture, with a slightly chewy and distinctive feel. The spinach topping was plentiful, and the chashu was well-prepared. I added ginger and spicy bean paste halfway through, as I usually do with tonkotsu ramen. As a side note, I was a bit surprised that it was already past 3:30 pm when I visited, but three solo female customers entered the store one after another after me.

[August 2023 Update] The air conditioning during the summer has been improved this year! I'm really happy about it ☺️✨ And as always, the food is delicious, thank you very much. [Please do something about the air conditioning during the summer...] Despite having poor results in my health check-ups, I still continue to visit my favorite restaurant, Ginpu. However, every August, I tend to stay away. That's because the direct blast of the air conditioning is too much to bear... (T ^ T) The tissue box flutters, and the small bowl of rice I'm eating becomes dry. My body, covered in sweat from the heat outside, becomes freezing cold while eating ramen. I've tried to find a seat with less airflow a few times in the past, but there are no blind spots in almost all seats at the counter, and each time I ended up compromising my health due to the cold. Maybe they don't realize it when they're in the kitchen... Please, staff members! Even if the temperature is low, I'll manage somehow, so I'd like you to install some parts that won't directly hit the air conditioning... I want to enjoy hot ramen with a cold beer in the middle of summer without compromising my health! For now, I'll come back when it's cooler, okay? (ΦωΦ;)

Today's lunch ramen in Akabane! [Visit: 2022.7.6] Today I had ramen for lunch in Akabane. It's a ramen shop on Akabane Suzuran Street. I bought a meal ticket at the ticket machine inside the shop. I decided to go for the flavored egg ramen (¥700). You can customize your order by specifying your preferences for flavor intensity, oiliness, and noodle firmness. Today, I chose strong flavor, extra oil, and firm noodles. Rice is free and you can have seconds anytime. After a short wait, the ramen arrived. The soup was a subtly flavored pork soy sauce base. The strong flavor really came through, with a rich taste of pork and a pronounced soy sauce aroma. The noodles were medium thickness straight noodles with a good chewy texture. They mixed well with the soup. The chashu pork had no excess fat and was meaty. It had a good chew and a gradual release of meaty flavor. The flavored egg was gooey and half-cooked, with a strong seasoning. The spinach was soft yet crunchy. The seaweed was large and crispy. Overall, the flavor was on the intense side. I enjoyed dipping the seaweed in the soup and rice. It's been a while since I had this, and I must say, this combination is really good. Soup: Pork soy sauce Noodles: Medium thickness noodles Ingredients: Chashu pork, flavored egg, spinach, seaweed, green onions

At the east entrance of Akabane station, there is a ramen shop located inside the arcade. I remember that it used to be 500 yen per bowl, but it seems they have raised the price due to the recent increase in ingredient costs. Now it's 650 yen, which is still reasonable. I ordered the noodles firm and the rice medium. The bowl arrived promptly and I dug in right away. It's delicious! The firm noodles transition from hot water to flour perfectly, allowing you to fully enjoy the flavor. The soup is just what you'd expect from a house-style ramen. The standout is the chashu. It's tender without any porky smell, with a perfect balance of softness. The soy sauce marinade adds a subtle aroma. The cooking and marinating are done just right. I am satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

At a shopping street in Akabane, I had a bowl of house-made ramen. I added seaweed, char siu, and flavored egg toppings. I also couldn't resist getting 5 pieces of dumplings for 170 yen! The dumplings had a delicious sweetness from the vegetables, but I had to hold back from eating more. I asked for the ramen to be on the richer side, with normal firmness and oil. Since I have tomorrow off, I added plenty of garlic. I enjoyed the rich soup and halfway through, I melted the garlic to change the flavor. The char siu and flavored egg were well-seasoned, making it a great addition to the rich ramen. I finished the meal by wrapping the noodles in the seaweed soaked in the soup. It was a satisfying ramen and dumplings lunch experience.

I went to Ginpu to eat tsukemen. I was planning to buy a 780 yen ticket for tsukemen at the ticket machine, but when I looked next to me, I saw a flavored egg tsukemen for 830 yen. It's a good deal with an extra 50 yen. I asked for a regular size even though the large size is free. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The soup was thick and had a good viscosity. The noodles were smooth and chewy. Apparently, rice is also free with the tsukemen, but I declined. Thank you for the meal.

This is my third time coming to this restaurant. I always end up stopping by when I visit Ohsu across the street. It seems to be a ramen shop specializing in a style similar to the traditional family-style ramen. They even have green garlic paste on the table. I used to like family-style ramen, but a few years ago, I suddenly stopped enjoying it and stopped going. I tried a few ramen shops around the Sugamo Suzuran Street area, but none of them felt quite right. Around that time, I saw a post saying that the tsukemen here was delicious, so I decided to give it a try. Today, I arrived just two minutes before opening, so I had to wait a bit. When it was opening time, a staff member came out, put up the vertical sign, the neon sign, and what seemed to be the lunch menu sign, and then closed the door without saying anything. They locked the door. It turns out they weren't open yet. Less than a minute later, the same staff member came back and unlocked the door. "Please come in." In Japan, they say "irasshaimase." Remember that. Well, the same thing happened last time, so I decided not to let it bother me. Just like last time, I bought the tsukemen ticket. The noodles were smooth and chewy, which isn't really my preference. The dipping sauce was a rich and thick fish and pork bone broth called "Mataoma." I used to get tired of this flavor at one point. It's not really my preference, but for some reason, it's delicious. The noodles were cooked just right, smooth yet delicious. Despite being a fish and pork bone broth, it wasn't overwhelming. The lemon added a refreshing touch. It's a strange tsukemen that I find delicious even though it's not my usual preference. I'll probably come back again on my way back from Ohsu next month. Thank you for the meal.

Local people love this family-owned ramen shop. Many people in Akabane really like this place. The soup is creamy and carefully made. They also serve a small portion of rice as a nice touch. The service is excellent. It's a place where even women can feel comfortable dining alone.

I used to visit this place frequently late at night due to work reasons. It's been a while since I last came, and today I visited for lunch. I came alone and had ramen with beer for a midday drink. This place probably falls into the category of "家系" ramen. Actually, I'm not a fan of "家系" ramen (laughs), but this place is different! The unique thick oil characteristic of "家系" ramen is mild here. Plus, you can choose my favorite thin noodles as a secret menu option. It's a perfect spot for when you want to eat a hearty bowl of ramen. And most importantly, the alcohol menu and cost performance are amazing! Draft beer for 280 yen!!! Highball, green tea highball, etc... Basic alcohol drinks are only 200 yen!!! Can you believe there's a place like this? Black oolong tea highball for 250 yen is also available, which is great for those who care about their health while drinking. Although I don't order it, rice is served for free. It's a versatile ramen shop that's great for a hearty lunch, drinking, or finishing off the night. It's easy to use in any situation.
