I stayed here for 3 nights when I visited Kyoto for work. About 3.5 months ago, I booked a "【Consecutive Night Discount】Plan for 3 nights or more; with breakfast; smoking single room B; 1 person per room; total of 24,500 yen for 3 nights (including tax and service charge, excluding accommodation tax)" through a travel agency's website. The breakdown of the 3-night fee is 7,000 yen for the 1st night (Friday), 12,500 yen for the 2nd night (Saturday), and 5,000 yen for the 3rd night (Sunday). I checked in around 3 pm on Friday and checked out around 9 am on Monday. The hotel is located in the center of Kyoto city. It is about a 4-minute walk from Shijo Station on the Karasuma Line of the subway/Hankyu Kyoto Line, and about a 7-minute walk from Karasuma Oike Station on the Karasuma Line/Tozai Line of the subway, and 7-8 minutes walk from Nishiki Market. It's quite a convenient location. There are plenty of restaurants in the area too! It's an 8-story building with a modern Japanese-style exterior. The right side of the 1st floor is a parking lot where you can park for 1,000 yen per day. However, it's a multi-story parking lot, so cars with a high height may not be able to park. But there are plenty of coin parking lots in the area. The interior is also modern and clean. It was well maintained. The 1st floor has the front desk, lobby, and breakfast corner, and the 2nd to 8th floors are guest rooms (5th and 6th floors are smoking floors). The staff were all friendly and polite. I confirmed during breakfast, but there were quite a few guests staying for all 3 days. Most of them seemed to be tourists. There were fewer foreign guests. [Room] I was assigned a room on the 5th floor. It's not very spacious, but it's sufficient for one person's stay. It is equipped with a double bed, desk/chair, TV, air purifier, empty fridge, electric kettle, hairdryer, unit bath (shower toilet), etc. There were no issues with the water area. The view from the window was so-so. [Breakfast] There is a breakfast corner on the left side of the 1st floor lobby. There were about 10 tables for 2 people and 1 large table for about a dozen people, and about 6 counter seats facing the window. Breakfast time is from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. It was quite crowded from 7 to 8 am. Breakfast is buffet style, with about 20 types of Japanese and Western dishes and drinks. The side dishes vary daily. The "dashi tea pickles" typical of Kyoto were good. It's a system where you sprinkle furikake and pickles on rice, and pour the dashi soup from the pot. It was refreshing even on a hangover morning. Also, the freshly baked bread that was constantly replenished was delicious. This hotel has a good location, is clean, and comfortable. I think it offers good value for money as a hotel in Kyoto city. I recommend it!
