On this day, I started re-reading the manga "The Red River" that I read in the past, which is a story from the Hittite era, so I felt like having Turkish food. When it comes to Turkish food near Kanda Station, Akihabara is the place to go! Even though it's mainly kebabs, Akihabara is known for its kebab joints, so I searched for one near the Kanda area and decided to visit this restaurant. The restaurant is located next to Tori King Keisuke. I arrived after 2 pm. As I entered the restaurant, it was so hot (*_*) because the air conditioning was not working properly. The tables were all full. I saw the owner, Mustafa, working frantically in the kitchen, so I told him I was dining alone and sat at the available counter seat. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quite authentic, with customers speaking languages other than Japanese and the place feeling quite worn out. Mustafa asked me to wait a bit for my order, so I went to pick up the menu myself. The menu had a variety of kebab options like kebab sandwiches and kebab wraps, but I was drawn to the Antep Special, which came with rice and French fries, a high-calorie combo, so I decided on the mix (850 yen) and waited for my order to be taken. It was so hot in there (^_^; probably because the air conditioning wasn't working properly, not because of the cooking. And in that heat, my glass of water didn't arrive for a while (laughs). I waited for about 10 minutes until my order was finally taken, and I was told that it would take some time to prepare the French fries. Since I had already waited so long, I decided to wait it out. When the Antep Special finally arrived, it was a plate with rice, French fries, kebab, and salad. I was so hungry from waiting that I started with the salad right away. The salad was made with greens, sliced onions, tomatoes, and pickles. Next, I tried the kebab. The mix was beef and chicken. The beef was meaty, and the chicken was tender and delicious. The kebab sauce I chose was spicy, but it wasn't that spicy. I think the garlic sauce might have been better. The French fries had cheese on them, which had a funky taste! What was it again? It reminded me of the taste of cheese I had when I was in America. Surprisingly, I love this kind of junky taste (^m^). The rice was cooked firm, and it went well with the kebab. While I was eating, I finally got a paper cup with a black liquid inside. I thought it was iced coffee, but it was flat cola. Yeah, it felt like the kind of cola this restaurant would serve. The high-calorie combo of rice and French fries turned out to be less filling than I expected, about 70% full. Men might prefer the large size. But kebabs are delicious after not having them for a while! When I went to the register after finishing my meal, Mustafa apologized for making me wait and said, "Please come again." I like the atmosphere of this kind of restaurant and thought the food was delicious. So I will definitely come back (^_^) Keep up the good work in Akihabara. Thank you for the meal.
