Fat Witch Baby, Double White Baby, Pistachio Baby, Coconut Baby @ Fat Witch Bakery
When returning to my hometown in Daikanyama, I discovered these brownies online and decided to visit the store in Tokyo to buy them as souvenirs for my family and also for myself. I purchased four different types of brownies. At this point, my total purchase exceeded 2000 yen, so I received a Matcha Edge as a service.
This bakery specializes in brownies and is popular in New York. The brownies are made with simple ingredients, mainly chocolate, and offer a taste of American home cooking. They are easy to eat by hand, which is a plus. The brownies are rich in flavor as they use plenty of chocolate, making them a delight for chocolate lovers.
The packaging design with cute illustrations caught my eye. The colorful and stylish design makes the brownies visually appealing. The designs seem perfect for women and children and are sure to be well-received.
I tried the brownies I bought for myself, and they had a dense and chewy texture, providing a satisfying eating experience. They were not dry and had a very rich flavor. The overall impression was that they were quite sweet, so they may not be suitable for those who dislike overly sweet treats. Personally, I found the Coconut Baby, which had a coconut texture and flavor, to be just right in sweetness and highly recommend it.
The Daikanyama exclusive Pistachio Baby was also enjoyable. The store itself is stylish, and with a wide variety of brownie options available, the shopping experience is quite enjoyable. You can even create your own combinations, making it a great choice for gifts. Overall, I believe these brownies would be well-received as a thoughtful souvenir. Thank you for the delicious treats!

Walking around Daikanyama on the weekend can be tiring, so I wanted a snack. There are many flavors available, and the colorful illustrations on the packaging of the child dressed as a witch are so cute that I couldn't resist buying it like a snack. However, it's quite expensive! The taste is just delicious, like a slightly firm brownie.

This is a brownie specialty store from New York located in Daikanyama. The compact store is filled with colorful brownies featuring a cute witch logo. The price is a bit high at 378 yen per piece. I purchased the following flavors: Earl Grey Baby - with plenty of Earl Grey tea leaves mixed in. After eating, a refreshing Earl Grey aroma lingers in the nose, and the flavor is nice. Almond Mania Baby - with almonds on the surface. The nutty aroma and crispy texture of the almonds add a nice touch. Milk Caramel Baby - a sweet caramel scent wafts from the brownie. Small caramel bits are mixed into the brownie, providing a nice texture. The sweetness of the caramel is enjoyable. Strawberry Baby - the brownie has a crispy surface and a chewy interior. Each flavor is sweet and rich, and just one piece is satisfying. With a variety of flavors available and the option to buy just one piece, it's perfect for gifts!

Born in New York, this brownie shop offers a variety of flavors to choose from, including unique Japanese-inspired flavors like matcha, hojicha, white bean paste, kinako, and yuzu. I asked the staff for their recommendation and ended up choosing the "Milk Caramel Baby," which has caramel bits in it - definitely a sweet treat! I also tried the plain "Fat Witch Baby," described as the ultimate brownie within a brownie. When I tried them at home, I found the plain brownie to be moist and not overly sweet, with a chewy texture that wasn't overpoweringly chocolatey. The Milk Caramel Baby had a crisper texture and was sweeter, but I found myself enjoying the plain one more. Overall, both were delicious and different from what I had imagined - they were easy to eat and not crumbly. While I would love to try more flavors, the price is on the higher side for the small size of the brownies. In the end, I paid 756 yen for two pieces. While in Daikanyama, I had already eaten two cakes and decided to try an apple pie at Matsunosuke, which led me to discover this colorful brownie shop next door. I saw several businessmen coming in and buying lots of brownies, so I decided to give it a try as well. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious these New York brownies were. Thank you for the meal!

I purchased the honey flavor. It costs 378 yen each and is very delicious. It's a dense chocolate brownie with a chewy texture when chilled. It can last for 2 weeks in the refrigerator. It's a bit expensive, but it would be well-received as a gift.

When I heard that the brownies I bought in New York were available in Daikanyama, I went there before my lunch appointment. I walked from Shibuya, which was a decent walk, but I enjoy walking so it wasn't too difficult for me. It took me a bit of time to find the shop. I passed it and had to backtrack. I first found Matsunosuke, known for its apple pie, and remembered someone mentioning that it was in the same building, so I looked around. Finally, I found it. The entrance to the building was quite stylish and not very obvious. It looked more like the entrance to an apartment building, so you enter from the left or right side that protrudes rather than the front. I was probably the first one there since I had some time before my lunch appointment. I looked around the shop and saw that they had spring-themed brownies since the cherry blossoms were almost gone. As someone mentioned, the brownies were slightly smaller than the ones in New York, probably due to licensing fees. They were a bit pricey, but they had unique flavors not found in New York. I bought some as souvenirs for my friends who were joining me for lunch, and we noticed that the packaging had a Japanese design, unlike the ones for flavors available in New York. The shop's highlight was the brownie end pack, where you could get a pack of end pieces for around 500 yen. They may not look as nice, but the taste is the same, making it a great deal. I got the end pieces for myself and two other flavors to enjoy the variety. They were a bit sweet, so the size was just right. It was a nostalgic experience for me, reminiscing about New York. With travel being difficult these days, enjoying these sweets made me look forward to the day I can visit New York again. Next time, hopefully when the exchange rate is more favorable. Thank you for the meal. Fat Witch Bakery Daikanyama.

When we lived in NY, we used to visit FAT WITCHES in Chelsea. Their brownies were delicious, with a cute character design. While we initially thought they were a bit too sweet by American standards, the taste was actually adjusted to suit Japanese preferences, with a more moderate level of sweetness that we found very tasty.

A popular brownie specialty shop from New York opened in Daikanyama in August 2021. The shop is called Fat Witch Bakery and is located just a short walk from Daikanyama Station. With the Daikanyama T-SITE right in front, it's a great place to stop by while exploring the area. The shop is marked by a cute witch illustration. Inside, there are a lot of brownies to choose from, with various flavors available. In addition to Daikanyama, the shop also has a branch in Kyoto. They also have an online shop where you can purchase their products. As for their Valentine's Day limited edition brownies, they come in colorful packaging with over 10 different flavors to choose from. The 2-piece, 6-piece, and 18-piece options make it easy to choose. Flavors include the classic Original, Cranberry, Earl Grey, Almond Mania, Walnuts, and Milk Caramel. Each brownie has a rich chocolate flavor with a hint of the unique flavor, making them all delicious. While all of them are tasty, my personal favorites were Cranberry and Earl Grey.

A brownie shop that opened in Daikanyama last summer. They sell various types of brownies. I bought a Valentine's limited edition box of 6 brownies because it was Valentine's season. It included different flavors of chocolate brownie, Earl Grey, and cranberry. The outside was crispy and the inside was moist and rich chocolate brownie. I love nuts, so the ones with walnuts and almonds were delicious and fragrant. The wrapping and box were cute, but the small brownies were a bit expensive at around 400 yen each. The taste was good.

When I went to NY, I did some serious shopping for my favorite brownies! I recently found out that they are also available in Japan, with exclusive flavors like matcha and hojicha. They are a bit smaller than the ones in New York, but still quite expensive at over 300 yen each. Despite the high price, they are truly delicious brownies. The taste is so rich that it's impossible not to overeat, so be careful not to indulge too much!

Opened in Daikanyama, a brownie specialty shop popular in New York. Located in the same building as Cafe Matsunosuke N.Y. The small store is filled with small brownies that could be described as bite-sized. Various types of brownies are available for purchase individually. It was around 3 pm on a Sunday, but the most popular Double Chocolate Brownie and Caramel Brownie were sold out. I purchased the following two items. The price details are unknown, but the total for two items was 756 yen.
"Fat Witch Baby" - The most orthodox brownie. It has an American aroma. I felt the sweetness of sugar more than the cocoa flavor, which is very American. The texture is moist.
"Matcha Baby" - A Japanese-style matcha brownie. Similarly rich in texture, but the bitter taste of matcha serves as an accent, creating a nice blend of Japanese and Western flavors. I preferred this one. If you're looking for a similar American-style brownie, Hudson Market offers a larger size at a similar price, so it feels like a better deal.

The popular brownies from Chelsea Market in New York now have a Japanese version available at convenience stores in Tokyo. This brownie is made by a Japanese confectionery company that has inherited the recipe from the original. It is easy to buy but a bit pricey, costing around ¥350 per piece. The brownie has a chewy and rich flavor that seems to faithfully replicate the taste of the original. The packaging with a witch illustration caught my eye. Flavors include Standard, Caramel, Earl Grey, Rum Raisin, and Green Tea. Personally, my favorite is the Earl Grey flavor.

I've been curious about Fat Witch brownies for a while, and my wife bought one for about 400 yen. It's about the size of four pieces of Tirol chocolate. The taste is rich and delicious, with minimal use of flour. However, I found the brownies at Coffee Valley in Ikebukuro the day before yesterday to be bigger and tastier. It seems that Japanese people really like foreign brands. If a skilled but unpopular shop were to open a small satellite shop overseas at a higher price, it could become very popular.

Fashionable shops gather in Daikanyama. It is a place where overseas shops often choose to open their first store in Japan, or shops from outside the Kanto region choose to open their first store in the Kanto region, as it is easy to attract attention due to the large number of people. Therefore, it is inevitable. This place is also the first store in the Kanto region for "Fat Witch Bakery" from Kyoto, which has its first store in Japan. Despite being called a bakery, it is not a bakery but a brownie specialty store. The shop is located in the same building as "Matanosuke N.Y," which is famous for its cheesecake. The exterior is a cool and impressive black silhouette of an urban landscape behind a glass facade. However, I was a bit confused as I couldn't enter the shop from the outside. The shop is inside the building, and once you enter, the interior is elegantly white. The main product, brownies, are all square-shaped, with a witch character printed on the surface. It's cute and picturesque. The shop offers a wide variety of flavors, with a total of 18 types. The brownies are lined up on one side, and it's impossible not to take a picture. You can choose your favorite ones and have them packed in a box. Here are the items I tried:
- Fat Witch Baby: The most basic flavor, a rich and dense brownie with a crispy texture.
- Double Chocolate Baby: Chocolate batter with additional chocolate, giving a nice crunch from the chocolate chips.
- Snow Baby: A light and fluffy white brownie with a gentle sweetness and a hint of vanilla.
- Red Baby: Features a slight acidity from dried cherries with a rich chocolate brownie base.
- Walnut Baby: Roasted walnuts added to the brownie for a fragrant and crunchy texture.
- Honey Baby: A sweet and sticky honey flavor, perfect for those who love sweet treats.
- Hojicha Baby: Made with roasted green tea, offering a strong aroma and a rich flavor.
- Kinako Baby: A light and sweet kinako flavor with a subtle aftertaste.
- Cocoa Baby: Blended with cocoa nibs and a hint of coffee flavor for a crunchy texture.
- Earl Grey Baby: Infused with Earl Grey tea leaves for a fragrant and subtle tea flavor.
- Yuzu Baby: Yuzu peel mixed into a moist and rich white chocolate brownie, with a refreshing yuzu taste.
- Shiroan Baby: A chewy texture with white bean paste mixed in, wrapped in chocolate.
When packing the items, they took care to ensure that the colors were evenly distributed and looked beautiful. This kind of attention to detail is truly appreciated. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I recently noticed a new shop opening up, so I decided to check it out the other day. It's a small shop that seems to specialize in various types of brownies. I bought the following flavors: yuzu, earl grey, strawberry, honey, lemon white chocolate chips, and the original brownie in bulk. The brownies have a dense texture with just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. However, the prices are quite high!

I recently visited a newly opened brownie specialty store. They have a wide variety of brownies available for purchase individually. I tried the walnut brownie, which wasn't very nutty but was rich and delicious. The cost of 400 yen per piece was okay, but I would like to try other flavors as well since they have so many options.

I purchased about four standard items. They were not heavy and rich, but rather light and crumbly. The taste is sweet enough, but the chocolate or other flavors are lacking. However, there is a definite oily feel, so it's a strange sensation of being light yet greasy without much aroma or flavor. The slight dryness is also a concern. When paired with coffee or tea, it easily fades into the background. At around 380-500 yen each, it may be a bit underwhelming. I initially considered it for gifts if it was delicious, but I won't be returning for more.

Brownie shop originating from New York with direct stores in Daikanyama, Tokyo and Shimogamo, Kyoto. My brother gave me as a birthday present. The brownies were more authentic than I imagined, with a rich and dense flavor. They had a wide variety of flavors and I really liked them! Thank you for the treat!
