I was finally able to visit the restaurant I've always wanted to go to, Bamban. Luckily, we were able to enter around 9:30pm on the weekend, as there were a few groups waiting outside. The main seating in the restaurant is high chairs, and although the aisle is narrow, the atmosphere is lively and pleasant. We were served a small salad with whitebait as a starter, which was delicious. We also ordered an additional dish as it was possible to get a refill for a small extra cost. The menu had a variety of unique dishes such as teriyaki chicken, recommended by the staff, risotto curry with homemade demiglace sauce, and fluffy omelette with white mushrooms and soft-boiled egg. Each dish was reasonably priced, and we enjoyed pairing them with white and red wines. It truly lived up to its reputation as a popular restaurant with excellent service. I would love to visit again. It's the season when we crave fruits of the season. This is Jinbocho, also known as Ura Shibuya. It's like the adult version of Shibuya. There are many shops here that look like they could be listed in the Tokyo Calendar. Kashiwa Bistro is one of them. I visited on a holiday and there was already a line when I arrived. It seems they have a system where they rotate seats every 2 hours, so it's a popular place where you almost can't get in without a reservation. We were seated and ordered dishes, focusing on recommendations. We had melon burrata, prosciutto with homemade apple butter, and a very berry highball. The first impression was a fruit feast. It was delightful. The appetizer, a salad with small scallops, was too good to be called just an appetizer. Next, the bonito tataki carpaccio was an outstanding dish topped with plenty of ginger. The creamy risotto to finish was fantastic. The staff and customers in the restaurant were sparkling, and the whole atmosphere of the place was wonderful. I felt like my level had gone up just by coming here. The interior of the restaurant had a dim atmosphere but was bustling like a popular izakaya. I was surprised to see a long line forming even before opening. It was a good decision to make a reservation. The place was packed with reserved guests. The main drinks were wine, with options like highball and beer. The bistro's specialty seemed to be risotto and gnocchi. We ordered apple butter crackers, Gorgonzola gnocchi, grilled chicken, a Caprese salad made with a whole tomato, and a cold soup. Each dish was satisfying and had a good portion size.

I mainly ordered dishes recommended with a star mark, and they were all delicious! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is great and perfect for a girls' night out or a date. The seating is on a 2-hour limit with a complete turnover, so we ended up eating quickly towards the end... but I would love to visit again!

I visited on the last day of my trip, and despite the heavy rain on a weekday, the restaurant was almost full shortly after opening. Third visit to Kamizawa and it was a Sunday this time! I made a reservation for 7:00 PM as it was the only available time. I arrived a bit early hoping to be seated earlier, but it seemed like they were strictly following the 7:00 PM reservation time, as we were all seated at the same time with the 2-hour seating group that started at 5:00 PM. - Seasonal Fruit Burrata Cheese: Lots of peaches which made me happy. The cheese paired perfectly with the fruit. - Corn Fritters: The batter was delicious. The balance of sweetness from the corn and saltiness from the seasoning was perfect. The corn was cut into 4 pieces vertically and fried, so it had a core. You eat it by hand, similar to eating steamed corn, so it might not be suitable for those who don't like getting their hands dirty. Maybe not ideal for a first date? (Just a weird bias about first dates) - Fried Potatoes with Ricotta Cheese: I've ordered this every time and have no comments. It's delicious, so I always get it. - Fondant Chocolat with Ice Cream: I thought it would come out quickly, but it took a while. It seemed like they baked it after we ordered, so it was very hot and delicious. I always saw this place on Instagram and I had been wanting to go for sooo long! I made a reservation for 5:00 PM, the opening time, and when I arrived, the place was already packed with people who had also reserved for 5:00 PM. It really hit me how popular this place is. As soon as customers came in, they quickly placed their orders, so it felt like the food took a bit longer to arrive. Here is what we ordered: - Gorgonzola cheese mochi mochi gnocchi - White peach and burrata cheese - Fluffy omelette with homemade beef tendon demi-glace sauce - Truffle Parmesan risotto Oh man, all the dishes were just so delicious...I realized afterwards that all of them had cheese in them, haha. First, the burrata cheese! The peach was sweet and juicy, a classic combination. Next, the omelette! It wasn't the usual shape I had imagined, so it was a surprise! When you cut into it, the cheese just stretched and stretched! The beef tendon was tender and paired well with the rich demi-glace sauce. Then, the gnocchi! I had seen this dish a lot on Instagram and I had decided I had to order it! It was so chewy and the rich cheese was delicious. Finally, the risotto! The combination of cheese and truffle was just too good. It was so delicious that I kept saying how good it was over and over again! Even though we had eaten so much cheese, it wasn't heavy at all and we finished it all in no time. The seating inside was a bit cramped, and you have to speak up a bit to have a conversation, but if you can enjoy such delicious food, it's worth it! The seating is strictly for 2 hours, and by 7:00 PM, the next reservation guests were already gathering outside the restaurant. I highly recommend this place, so please go and try it out! ✨

We entered the restaurant at 6:00 PM for the two-part seating. It's best to make a reservation as it gets full with reservations. Every dish we ordered was very delicious. We had the gnocchi, tomato and mozzarella soup caprese, cream cheese and pepper honey, and creme brulee. The soup caprese was a first for us, but both my friend and I preferred it over the others.

The restaurant is small and average, but seems to be popular. The risotto and gnocchi were very delicious. The service was surprisingly fast despite being crowded. The signature "kashiwa yaki" wasn't very tasty and the hamburger was a bit dry. If it wasn't for the dry texture, it might have been delicious.

The restaurant offers a casual atmosphere where you can enjoy dishes made with rare local black chicken from the owner's hometown of Shiga, which is delivered fresh daily, as well as carefully selected wines. The grilled chicken dishes and wines are recommended. Everything was delicious, especially the grilled chicken which was full of flavor. The ham and melon was luxurious and irresistible. The gnocchi is a must-try, it was deliciously chewy. All the menu items looked delicious so we ordered a variety, and everything was excellent. The service was also good, so I highly recommend trying this restaurant. I would love to go back again.

30 seconds from Kansen Station. When I just saw the name of the restaurant, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a place where I enjoyed the food and wanted to go back again! I was told that they have a two-part system on weekdays and a three-part system on weekends. You can't just walk in whenever you want, on weekends you can enter at 5pm, 7pm, or 9pm, so there are lines forming in front of the restaurant before opening. I was surprised when I went at 5pm and suddenly there was a line. They take all the orders at once to serve the food quickly, which is why they have this system! The menu has so many recommended dishes that it's hard to choose. Besides the recommended dishes, there are plenty of other options, but if you try all the recommended dishes, it would be really great!

I used the cheapest course, but I was very satisfied. When I arrived early, there was a line in front of the store. It seemed like they were doing a timed entry, as all customers left the store at once and those waiting in line were allowed in a little after the scheduled time. The store wasn't very big inside, with small tables. You have to keep eating what is brought to you or the table will get crowded. The drink selection for the all-you-can-drink option wasn't extensive, but it was delicious and they brought them to you quickly. I would like to visit this place again.
