On March 26, 2022 (Saturday) at 4:05 PM, with 2 people. The exterior of the place is unrecognizable, but there are several groups lined up. As you approach the shop, you can smell the pleasant aroma of coffee even through your mask. Inside, staff members in white-like uniforms are present. Occasionally, they come out to organize the line. Everyone exudes a friendly and kind atmosphere. As you get closer to your turn, a staff member comes for a consultation. It's like a consultation, really. They draw out our preferences, the fun of trying something outside our comfort zone, and even suggest possibilities we might like but haven't considered. It's so enjoyable...!! If you have positive feelings about coffee, everyone should visit at least once. It's fun even before you drink the coffee. [El Inverto (550 yen)] I don't particularly like acidity, but I also find overly bitter coffee a bit off-putting. When I conveyed these very common preferences, I ended up with this choice. They suggested using these beans to make a milk brew coffee. As the name suggests, it's coffee extracted with cold milk. For someone like me who enjoys cafe lattes, it was a very welcome suggestion. The coffee beans naturally blend with the milk, creating a smooth and mellow flavor. It's incredibly delicious. And most importantly, it's exactly the taste I like. However, looking at the menu, it falls under the category of somewhat bitter. I never thought I would prefer a slightly bitter taste. Reflecting on the fact that I hardly drank coffee in my early twenties, my preferences have certainly changed a lot. [Raspberry Candy (600 yen)] This was ordered by my wife. It's completely different from the coffee I ordered. It's very fruity, but also has a richness that is not light at all. It might be quite refreshing to drink it as an iced coffee. It's delicious. By the way, as a service, they provide a small glass of the coffee my wife had during her previous visit, so you can get a sense of what the coffee was like. It's very much appreciated. Overall, it was a delicious and enjoyable cafe that makes you want to visit regularly. It could even be called a coffee research institute. I will visit again! Thank you for the meal!

Hidden gem cafe in the back alleys of Omotesando, Koffee Mameya (Omotesando Koffee) is a place where you can find a coffee that suits your mood and taste of the day. Regulars are always chatting with the barista while choosing their coffee, creating a lovely atmosphere. The interior of the shop resembles a sophisticated bar, and the baristas help you find a coffee that matches your mood through counseling and tasting. The baristas are like coffee sommeliers, guiding you to discover what kind of coffee you will encounter next. I saw a post on SNS about being able to do a coffee tasting comparison and decided to visit the shop. I had to wait for one group before entering. Inside, there were only foreign tourists. They asked about my taste preferences in the beginning, and I mentioned that I like acidity and bitterness. They explained that these preferences are contradictory from a roasting perspective, so I tried both bitter and acidic coffees. For those who have never tried authentic coffee before and want to explore different shops, this place might be good. Personally, I have been to the shops listed on paper before, so I felt a bit unsatisfied. The shop in Kiyosumi Shirakawa allows you to taste the same beans roasted in different ways (reservation required), so that might have been more suitable for me. The coffee was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Omotesando's hidden gem cafe, Koffee Mameya, has a charming atmosphere where regular customers always chat with the barista while selecting their coffee. This is my fifth visit, and I was delighted that they remembered me and the coffee beans I purchased before. The interior of the shop resembles a bar, with sophisticated baristas providing counseling and sometimes tastings to match each person with a coffee that suits their mood that day. It's like having a coffee sommelier. You can buy coffee to drink right away or beans to enjoy at home. The purchased coffee beans also come with a recipe for brewing, allowing you to fully bring out the flavor of the coffee at home. I wonder what kind of coffee I will encounter next time. -------------------Shop Information------------------- Open-Close: 10:00-18:00 Irregular holidays Address: 4-15-3 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo Access: 7 minutes walk from Omotesando Station (Exit A2) Tel: 03-5413-9422 *Seating is only available at the counter ----------------------------------------------------- On this account, I aim to "enrich everyday life" by sharing my favorite cafes, restaurants, dishes, drinks, and products that I have enjoyed. It feels like they will recommend a coffee for you based on the description of your favorite coffee. They offer various types of coffee, from light roast to dark roast, and recommend the most suitable one. The coffee itself is very easy to drink and goes down smoothly. Highly recommended. The price may be a bit high, but considering it as a treat, it's totally worth it.

I was lucky to be the next in line on a holiday, so I decided to wait. I tried a rare coffee from Ecuador called Lagmabata, and it was incredibly delicious! It had a taste similar to white wine, very refreshing and not like typical coffee. I also bought some beans called Raspberry Candy, which were so good that they were gone in just 4 days.

A popular coffee shop in a back alley of Omotesando. They source rare beans from domestic and international roasters and offer personalized recommendations based on your preferences. You can enjoy a single drink or purchase beans, and the shop is stand-up only with no seating. Perfect for when you want to try a unique coffee today.

I visited to buy some coffee beans. Each person was assigned a barista who explained in detail about the different options available, from drinks to take-out beans. They even recommended beans for gifts based on preferences and brewing methods. I was very satisfied with the service! I tried the milk brew at the shop. The best time to visit is right before opening on weekdays.

I finally visited MAMEYA, a place I had been wanting to visit for a long time. As the end of the pandemic approaches, I noticed many customers who seemed to be from overseas. They carefully assist with selecting beans, so shopping takes some time. The waiting time tends to be longer, but it makes sense. I purchased Haile Selassie beans from Fukuoka, Japan for 2300 yen (tax included) for 150g. The beans come with a leaflet containing information about the beans and recommended brewing methods. When I brewed the coffee at home following the leaflet, it had a juicy red fruit flavor, a smooth acidity, a rich sweetness, and a hint of bitterness. The balance was wonderful, and it was exactly my taste. Despite the long wait in the evening rush, I persevered and it was totally worth it. I am grateful for the delicious beans recommended to me. After seeing the variety of beans available, I already have an idea of what beans I want to try next time.

My son recommended this coffee counseling shop that he had visited once before, so I decided to give it a try. I waited in line for almost an hour and a half to experience it. They helped me choose beans based on my preferences, and then they actually brewed the coffee for me. You can either just enjoy a cup there or purchase your favorite beans to take home. My son and I chose different beans, so we got to taste two different types of coffee. I also bought my favorite beans and had them ground for my paper filter, and they taught me how to brew it deliciously.

I couldn't find the entrance at first, but I arrived just before it opened and saw two groups of people, so I figured out where it was. I was the third in line to enter. The customers were all foreigners, both in front of me and behind me. There is no seating for dining inside the shop. The concept of the shop is clear when you enter. I chose the coffee "Honduras sagastuma L28" in a medium roast, brewed using a Kalita Wave dripper. They also use a V60 dripper for some beans. The method used was a solid 1:16 ratio. In terms of flavor, I tasted strong citrus, lemon grass, and blueberry notes. As it cooled down, I felt a acidity like dark cherry. You can choose from medium roast to full city roast, so it's a good place to find your favorite coffee. I heard they also have a branch in Kiba where you can dine in, so I'll try that next time.

I love coffee, but I drink it without any particular preferences. I'm actually afraid of getting too deep into it and becoming obsessed, so I try to keep my distance. However, yesterday, I was captivated by a delicious-looking post and decided to visit the place right away. * The location is behind Omotesando Hills, with no sign and a discreet exterior. I entered cautiously until I was asked, "Are you here for MAMEYA?" * Inside the shop, there is a small room for roasting coffee, and you stand in front of a large shelf to receive counseling on your preferred coffee. While listening to the explanation, I drank the coffee that caught my interest, and if I liked it, I purchased the beans. I thought I liked dark roast, but recently I discovered that I don't dislike types with a dominant acidity... and I shared my preferences. * The first coffee I tried was a blend called "Raspberry Candy." Contrary to its name, it had a refreshing taste rather than overwhelming sweetness, with a medium roast. * The next one I tried was a deep roast type of Kenyan beans called "Gakuyini." Despite being a dark roast, it had a smooth texture reminiscent of drinking a high-end brandy. It changed my impression of dark roast. * Chatting with the handsome guy in a white coat about coffee... I can't resist this. * The fact that about 70% of the customers are women also makes sense. * They also sell ultra-premium beans at 12,000 yen for 150g, and I heard that two bags were already sold today. * There are truly extravagant people in the world... It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

It was a very grand coffee shop. The exterior and interior incorporated a Japanese style, giving off a slightly luxurious atmosphere. The black door, like charcoal, was made slightly lower, requiring me to bend down a bit to enter. It was about 150cm in height. Walking through the gravel, bonsai trees, and serene Japanese atmosphere, I entered the shop. Inside, there was a counter for customer service and an area for roasting coffee. There was no dining space. Each customer was assigned a staff member in a white coat who would ask about their preferences and recommend suitable beans, similar to a coffee sommelier. Various beans were displayed in small compartments embedded in the counter, with a menu board showing the same arrangement. I listened to the explanation while looking at the menu board and chose my coffee. The prices ranged from over 1,000 yen for a cup to 350 yen, making it accessible to everyone. I wanted to try a cafe latte on ice, so I asked for a recommendation for one that had a strong coffee flavor but not too bitter, and that I liked fruity flavors. The staff recommended the milk version of cold brew coffee, "Milk Brew Coffee." It had an incredibly strong milk flavor, unlike a regular cafe latte. The strength of the coffee, the fruity notes, and the milk all balanced each other out. It was my first time trying Milk Brew Coffee. (I forgot the name of the beans, but I think it was something like Tres Dragon or El Inheldt...) It's best to visit this coffee shop with the intention of enjoying it, as it takes time to prepare and is quite an experience. It might be too much content and time for a post-lunch coffee break. It was a fun and interesting place that piqued my curiosity and made me want to learn more about coffee.

A genuine coffee shop where decisions are made through dialogue. It's best to visit on weekdays as it's always crowded on weekends. I ordered two coffees, one dark roast and one light roast, to experience their unique flavors. Both were truly authentic. In particular, the Cero Azul had a vibrant flavor almost like a coffee? It seems that authentic coffees have a more vibrant flavor. Overall, it was a great experience with a lot of knowledge and expertise. They also offer coffee beans for takeaway, making it a great choice for seeking happiness in everyday moments. ========MENU======== ◆Cero Azul ◆Gaku Yuni Eatery Rating: 3.43 Cost: 1,950 yen Instagram ID: tam_gourmet_

I bought a cup of coffee in the store and also purchased some beans as a gift. The staff recommended the best beans for me after asking about my taste preferences and brewing method. The recipient of the gift was very happy with it! However, the store is quite popular and I had to wait in line for over 30 minutes. It's recommended to visit with plenty of time to spare.

Mexico Finca Chelin Farm Geisha Colombia Cerro Azul Farm The Geisha roasts were not at their best due to oxidation stress before being sold by Melbourne's CODE BLACK COFFEE ROASTERS and reaching me, but I could still feel the elegant charm typical of Geisha. The Mexican one was more refreshing while the Colombian one was more juicy and heavy. Both had the sophistication typical of high-quality beans.

Raspberry Candy, who also appeared on TV, has very kind and helpful staff who will teach you all about coffee beans in detail. They even show you how to drip coffee. The Raspberry Candy I purchased is surprisingly refreshing for a medium roast, with a strong fruity berry aftertaste. I will definitely come back again.

"Even if you're not a coffee lover, you must visit this holy place" as an anti-Starbucks person haha. As someone who doesn't drink coffee, I come here with the determination to drink coffee (laughs). "MAMEYA" is truly amazing in terms of presentation and spatial design, giving you the illusion that you're being proposed on stage. It is one of the top cafes and coffee shops I've visited in Japan in the past 10 years. In terms of design alone, the first Starbucks design by Kengo Kuma in Fukuoka (Dazaifu) is also a masterpiece, but in terms of softness and style, there is no comparison between the chain Starbucks and MAMEYA. I also like "kajita" in Nagoya. Today, I recommend a light cup of coffee. When you go to MAMEYA in Omotesando, you immediately want to go to MAMEYA KAKERU in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, and vice versa. This unique feeling of strong sympathy is truly the one and only MAMEYA magic. Thank you for reading until the end. I would appreciate it if you could like, follow, and save the shop. Thank you very much."

【Nearest station】Omotesando/Ginza Line, 7-minute walk 【Budget】Up to 999 yen 【Reservation】Not required, wait for 1 group on weekends from 13:00 【Menu】 - Gatombouya: 600 yen per person 【Overview】 A barista angel in a white coat, full of knowledge, grinds and brews coffee right in front of you, like a theme park! Located behind Omotesando Hills, passing through a black-painted gate that gives a sense of a Japanese house, you will find a shop lined with paper bags filled with coffee beans, packed with stylishness. Coffee lovers gather here, and sometimes customers come to study. In fact, the customer next to me was taking notes. After choosing between light and dark roast and selecting the aroma, the white-coated angel will explain everything to you. You can try to find your preference, or challenge yourself with a new flavor! It is important to refrain from talking to them while they are brewing coffee, as they need full concentration. Be careful! After asking one question, you will receive about 10 responses in a hurry! What I learned this time is to use a scale if you want to drink something delicious! Also, there is no right answer when it comes to coffee. It's a journey to find your own preference. From the amount and extraction method to the brewing time, try various things to find your favorite taste, and when you find it delicious, that's the goal of coffee. If you love coffee, I think it's worth experiencing at least once. The Gatombouya this time was a dark roast coffee that minimizes acidity and leaves a slightly fruity aroma. Normally, the remaining coffee towards the end has a strong acidity that makes it hard to drink, but this one didn't give that impression at all. I feel like I've found my goal, but I want to keep exploring without losing my curiosity. Thank you for the meal.

After choki choki on Omotesando, I went to this shop to buy coffee for a picnic in Yoyogi Park. There was a line at 3:00 pm on Sunday, probably because each group of customers is guided by a staff member in a white coat to choose beans based on their preferences, which takes a lot of time. I finally got my coffee around 4:00 pm. I was asked if I preferred dark or light roast, and when I said I like bitter dark roast, they asked if I preferred no acidity or a little acidity. I said a little acidity was fine, and they explained three types of beans, recommending a fruity type from Costa Rica called Shumaba. It did have some acidity for a dark roast, but I realized I prefer less acidity. This shop seems ideal for coffee lovers who want to taste and choose beans together with a partner.
