"Fukuro Char Siu" will have a pre-opening on March 20th and a grand opening on March 21st in Nakano. It is a new ramen shop related to the popular ramen shop "Yatagarasu," and the head chef from Yatagarasu will be present on the opening days. The location is in a shopping street about a 10-minute walk from Nakano Station and Arai Yakushi-mae Station. The menu includes ramen, yakisoba, tantanmen, and four types of char siu, as well as various side dishes. They offer lunch sets and takeout options. The cozy interior has a counter with 6 seats and 2 tables. The sight of the hanging roasted pork in front of the shop is quite impressive. One recommended item is the "Fukuro Set" for 1500 yen, a lunch set with soupless ramen (salt or soy sauce base), a choice of teppanyaki dish, and half a bowl of rice. The teppanyaki dish "Roasted Char Siu" features thick slices of char siu cooked on a hot plate, made with high-quality pork such as belly and shoulder loin. The chicken char siu is also juicy and delicious. The salt-based soup ramen is clear and beautiful, with flat noodles and garnished with green onions and other toppings. The soup has a rich and fragrant seafood umami flavor typical of the Yatagarasu style, with influences from the "Uguisu-ya" shop. The flat noodles are chewy and satisfying. Overall, the ramen maintains the consistent quality of Yatagarasu, with exceptional char siu as a highlight. The shop is planning to open several related stores soon, indicating the continuing success of Yatagarasu."

Today, I had some time in the afternoon, so I decided to visit some new shops in Shin-Okubo and Koenji before heading to Nakano. For the third stop, I went to "Fukuro Char Siu" for a revenge visit after being turned away last time. "Fukuro Char Siu" is a new Chinese restaurant specializing in char siu supervised by the popular restaurants "Yatagarasu" and "Uguisu-ya". The restaurant opened in March 2023, and I was intrigued by the unique concept, so I finally made it there today. The restaurant is located in Nakano, and upon entering, I was greeted by a white-tiled interior with a neon sign, giving off a cool vibe. I ordered the Salted Char Siu Ramen, Char Siu Assortment, Maximum Intense Boiled Egg, and Flavored Menma. The ramen had a flavorful soup with a unique taste, and the noodles were smooth and chewy. The char siu assortment included four types of char siu, each with a different flavor. The Maximum Intense Boiled Egg had a deliciously runny yolk, and the Flavored Menma had a slightly sweet taste. Overall, the meal was satisfying, and the char siu had a distinct Chinese flavor. I enjoyed the experience and would recommend trying it out.

"Fukuro Yakitori - Nakano (Tokyo) - Lunch Set F880 yen. Super delicious! The flat noodles from Sugano Seimen are delicious with Aniresu seafood broth with 4 types of yakitori: pork shoulder loin, pork thigh, pork belly, and chicken chashu. The pork shoulder loin was especially tasty. Address: Nakano-ku Arai 1-14-14. Open from 11:30 to 15:00 and 17:00 to 21:00. Closed when sold out, check official Instagram for updates. Counter seating for 6 + table seating for 8. #Yatagarasu supervised, #Nakano Chinese cuisine, #Nakano ramen, #RamenRamen233"

I saw "tsukemen" on the evening menu and thought, "Oh, this must be delicious!" So I came to have tsukemen (soy sauce) for lunch. However, the way it was served was not ideal - with the dipping broth placed on the right side. This is not common for tasty tsukemen. When I tried it, I found that the noodles were not absorbing the broth well. The broth itself was not weak in flavor, but the overall experience of the tsukemen was lacking. I wonder how the salt version would taste. I'm not a big fan of the soy sauce flavor in ramen, but the salt version was significantly better. Maybe salt tsukemen is the way to go at this place. Despite my criticisms, I still feel like coming back to try more. It would be nice if they offered a more affordable option for tsukemen, maybe with just one type of char siu. Having four different types of char siu for 1200 yen might be a good deal, but for me, the focus should be on the noodles and broth in tsukemen.

The person seems to be cooking alone and struggling to keep up with the menu, which includes four types of limited char siu ramen. They found the char siu made from thigh meat delicious, but felt that the other types did not meet their expectations. They also expressed doubt about whether the restaurant is still serving the same quality dishes as when it first opened.

Had a light meal at Hooron Char Siu. Started with a draft beer. In addition to the regular menu, they also have summer specials. The tsukemen looked delicious, but I opted for the appetizer set. The eggs here are rich and tasty. From the summer menu, I tried the corn dumplings. They were a bit on the sweet side, but paired well with the corn. I should have ordered both with corn. Finished off with a glass of shochu. It's nice that even at night, you can enjoy a casual drink and some noodles here.

On this day, the second stop was here! Fukuro Char Siu @ Nakano This is my second visit to Nakano! Visit date: 2023.07.14 (Fri) Cloudy 29°C After leaving the second generation martial artist from the first stop, we took a break and then headed to the second stop! Now heading to Fukuro Char Siu, supervised by Yatagarasu, opened in March 2023, and this is my second visit since my first visit in April 2023. Actually, I had a different shop in mind, but when I passed by this shop, I found a menu that caught my attention too much! That is this! "Whole Tomato Cold Chinese Noodles"! Limited menu using whole tomatoes is offered in various shops, but... due to timing, price, etc., I had never eaten it and it remained uneaten. I thought to myself, "I have encountered it!" and rescheduled to dive in! The location is about a 5-6 minute walk from Nakano Station. Arrival~♬ There seems to be seating available in the store! ~Entering the store~ Please sit at the counter~♬ I was seated at the empty counter at the far back as instructed. There is no ticket vending machine, so you have to order verbally! Of course, I ordered the "Limited Whole Tomato Cold Chinese Noodles" with <Sesame Salt>! (I'm not a big fan of black vinegar) Water is provided, BGM is J-pop, and there are 3 staff members. It is a shop specializing in char siu and can also be used as an izakaya/bar, with a wide range of menu items available for takeout at all times. Looking around, there were 2 other customers and 1 takeout customer. The timing was quite calm. ◆ Soon, the dish arrived~♬キタ━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━!! "Limited Whole Tomato Cold Chinese Noodles" <Sesame Salt> The three-dimensional presentation is outstanding and beautiful! So, let's dig in! ◉ <Soup> First, a sip of the soup. Mmm, delicious~! (*´ω`*) The slightly thick soup is a milky white sesame-based soup with a salty flavor. I've had cold noodles this season a few times, but I realized that I don't eat "cold Chinese noodles" very often, and this is my first time this season. Even if you're not a fan of acidity, you can eat it with a sesame base. I think it's a delicious soup with a little acidity! ◉ <Noodles> When I moved the toppings, the neatly arranged noodle lines were impressive! Alright, let's eat! The noodles were from the same place as the last time, Kanno Seimen. They are thick, straight noodles with a strong texture, which I like. The noodles are also delicious. ◉ <Toppings> The shredded cucumber is a beautiful decoration as well. The char siu, which you could choose from three types last time, seemed to be predetermined for this menu. The char siu, with its rich flavor, is truly impressive. The star, the "whole tomato," turned out to have a surprisingly intense acidity, which surprised me as I ate it unknowingly. The thick omelette is on the sweeter side, which goes well with the acidity. It was the second stop, but I finished it in no time! I paid the bill without forgetting and said thank you before leaving. \(^o^)/ *Well, I finally got to eat the whole tomato cold Chinese noodles that I had been wanting to try! I was quite surprised by the intense acidity of the tomato, but those who like acidity might enjoy it. It was another good experience. I am happy today as well. Thank you for the meal! ➤➤➤The blog will be uploaded at a later date!! (Link to blog)

I went to Nakano Daishoken to try their hiyashi chuka, but they were closed for renovations until July 14th. Disappointed, I headed to "Hashimoto," the highest-rated restaurant in Nakano on Tabelog, but they were closed for the day. So, I ended up at this place. It was almost full with customers. I ordered a set with two types of char siu and a bowl of ramen. You can choose from four types of char siu, so I chose the belly and lean cuts. The char siu had a nice smoky aroma and was delicious. It seemed to be inspired by Hong Kong-style char siu. On the other hand, the ramen was made with thin noodles and a special soy sauce base, which was tasty and of high quality, but it felt somewhat familiar. I didn't have high expectations, but I would like to try the shrimp wonton with a salty flavor if I have the chance.

I wanted to try a ramen shop in Nakano called "Fukurou Char Siu" located on Yakushi Ai Road, a small shopping street that extends north of Nakano Station towards Arai Yakushi. This shop boasts of Hong Kong-style grilled dishes. The kitchen is surprisingly large and modern, with shiny equipment lined up neatly. The dining area has a stylish feel, reminiscent of a trendy eatery in Lan Kwai Fong, Hong Kong. I ordered the Fukurou Set, which includes ramen, teppanyaki dish, and rice for 1500 yen. The teppanyaki dish comes with a choice of three types of char siu: pork leg, pork belly, and chicken breast, all grilled to a red hue with a sweet soy sauce-based marinade. The char siu was delicious, with each type offering a different texture and flavor. The ramen, chosen with salt broth, had a clear soup and flat noodles that were springy and chewy. The addition of onion slices under the char siu added a nice crunch. Mixing the char siu with the ramen enhanced the flavors, making the whole experience enjoyable. The price of 1500 yen for a satisfying meal of ramen and teppanyaki was considered reasonable. It was both delicious and fun, making it a unique dining experience.

It seems like a relatively new restaurant. I went there almost immediately after it opened, but the air conditioning wasn't working well and it was quite hot. The food was very delicious. The portion size was just right, the cost performance was good, and I would like to go there again. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the tantanmen. It came with rice, but it arrived before the tantanmen and I forgot about it. The tantanmen was moderately spicy and easy to eat. The chashu was tender and delicious. The interior of the restaurant had a stylish atmosphere, with groups of women having a girls' night out. I originally planned to go to a nearby restaurant for ginger ramen, but they were closed, so that's how my day went.

Saturday, which was unplanned. Suddenly, I received an invitation to have a drink in my hometown. ■ Fukuro Char Siu (Fuhlong Char Siu) A char siu specialty shop on Yakushi Ai Road, they also serve ramen. The store originally housed a takoyaki shop, which changed its name three times: Takoyaki Main Store → Marukoi Suisan → Azumaya. The interior of the store is bright and stylish with a Chinese theme. There is an L-shaped counter and table seating. Since the table seating was full, we sat side by side at the counter. Cheers with a draft beer~ Ahh, a draft beer after work is delicious. The draft beer here is Maruef, a nostalgic Asahi draft beer. I looked at the menu and saw a variety of char siu dishes and Chinese cuisine. ◆ Shumai (Mochibuta Shumai) 2 pieces ¥360 The thin skin filled with juicy meat filling is delicious. The shumai is of high quality and tasty even on its own. ◆ Char Siu Assortment (4 types) ¥800 Shoulder loin char siu, rare char siu, pork belly char siu, chicken char siu Each char siu has a firm texture, is well-seasoned, and juicy. The shoulder loin char siu, in particular, had a good balance of lean and fatty meat and was delicious. ◆ Seasoned Bamboo Shoots ¥80 The crunchy texture of the bamboo shoots is pleasant. ◆ Maximum Intensity Flavored Egg ¥180 The yolk is rich and the flavored egg has a flavorful taste. ◆ Qingjiao Rousi (Shoulder Loin Char Siu with Chinjao Sauce) ¥880 Qingjiao rousi is my favorite Chinese dish. Served on a sizzling hot plate with sliced green peppers, bamboo shoots, and carrots stir-fried, topped with 4 pieces of shoulder loin char siu and sauce. The aroma is that of a normal Qingjiao rousi, but it was the first time I had seen it served like this. I thought it was a new type of Qingjiao rousi, but it's definitely not "rousu" (thinly sliced meat). When my companion ordered a bottle of shochu, a female staff member poured it from a large jar right in front of us. I realized that the parent company of this place is Kamakura Saketen. Come to think of it, Kamakura Saketen also has these large jars. Marukoi Suisan was also originally owned by Kamakura Saketen. This store, despite changing its name and concept, may have had the same parent company all along. The ramen supervised by Yakou Karasu & Uguisu-ya also looked delicious, so I'll try it next time. ※For more details, check out the blog with a sense of presence... I visited around 18:00 on a regular day. There were no customers before or after me. Many customers were getting takeout. The restaurant was quite busy when it first opened, so I visited at a different time. The interior was spacious and the staff were friendly. The menu had options for individuals, like half portions, which was convenient. The char siu was not braised pork, so it had a different texture. I tried the pork shoulder and belly, but they seemed to cater to a general audience without much uniqueness. Personally, I would have been happy to see intestines on the menu. Looking forward to future menu developments. Thank you for the meal.

The char siu was really delicious! The ramen soup was also exceptional, surpassing typical ramen shops in the area. I ordered egg over rice, but there was no explanation from the staff on how to eat it. Should I eat it as is, sprinkle the soy sauce on the table, or use the sauce in the small dish provided? It's a shame that I couldn't fully enjoy the egg because of the lack of guidance.

The char siu looked delicious so I came here. I was planning to go to a ramen shop so I just had some char siu and beer. The char siu was served cold but the fatty part was tasty so it was okay. I also ordered something like a salad with momo lea char siu, but I prefer the regular char siu. I was attracted by the name "Maxim thick boiled egg" so I ended up ordering it haha. If it were a little closer to Nakano Station, it would be nice to buy it for takeout.

I went to Fukurou Char Siu in Nakano, Tokyo for dinner after a walk and sauna session to work up an appetite. I chose this place for our pre-dinner "beer time". The restaurant had a stylish and bright atmosphere with hanging char siu pieces at the entrance, which made me crave for them. I ordered a char siu platter with 4 types of char siu and a maximum flavor egg. The char siu, made from pork shoulder, leg meat, belly, and chicken thigh, was cooked slowly for an hour and a half, resulting in a juicy and delicious taste. Each char siu had a unique flavor and texture, perfect for pairing with drinks. The maximum flavor egg had a rich yolk taste and was perfectly soft-boiled. Enjoying it with the char siu enhanced the flavors even more. I wanted to order more, but remembered it was just the first round, so I resisted the temptation. I'll save it for next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Hello, this is SapiO. "Salt is flat noodles! Soy sauce is thin noodles! Supervised by Yatagarasu & Uguisu-ya. A stylish Chinese restaurant known for its high-quality char siu! Today, I will introduce "Fukurou Char Siu" restaurant. It seems to be a restaurant supervised by Yatagarasu & Uguisu-ya. In the interior of the restaurant, there is a stylish oriental atmosphere with a Chinese vibe. The lunch menu offers a variety of set menus, and I decided to go with the TKCG set. You can choose between salt or soy sauce for the ramen flavor. The char siu options include pork shoulder loin, low-temperature thigh char siu, pork belly, and chicken char siu. I chose pork belly for my char siu. The ramen was delicious, with a unique flavor profile that included fish broth and a salty sauce. The noodles were firm and enjoyable to eat. The char siu was tender and had a sweet flavor. The egg over rice was also tasty. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. If I have the chance, I would like to try the soy sauce with thin noodles next time. Thank you for the meal."

After eating ramen at "Shoga wa Bunka," I headed to a new store on the same Yakushi Ai Road called "Fukuryu Char Siu," which opened in March 20, 2023. This place specializes in char siu supervised by "Yatagarasu @ Suidobashi" and "Uguisu @ Soshigaya-Ozaka." Even though "Shoga wa Bunka" opened at 11:00 and I got a point card, I also got one when "Fukuryu Char Siu" opened at 11:30. The menu was surprisingly complex, making it hard to decide what to order. I ended up ordering the lunch menu item "H Tan Tan Men + Bara Char Siu (half rice free) for 1200 yen." Lately, I've been into Tan Tan Men, so I couldn't resist ordering it when I saw it on the menu. To my surprise, when I lifted the noodles from the soup, I found thick, curly noodles with a strong appearance. It was my first time seeing Tan Tan Men like this. With each bite, I felt a pleasant spiciness and numbing sensation, swirling in a rich sesame flavor. The strong noodles were surprisingly satisfying. After finishing the noodles, I added the half rice and char siu to create an instant Tan Tan Char Siu Ojiya. The richness and sweetness of the pork belly added to the dish, satisfying my Tan Tan Ojiya craving. It was delicious! I wish there were additional options like extra chili oil or Sichuan pepper, but I couldn't find them on the counter. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the meal and left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. The menu is extensive, so I look forward to trying other dishes next time. Great experience overall.

A new Chinese restaurant called Fukurou Char Siu has recently opened along the shopping street "Ai Road" on the way from Arai Yakushi-mae to Nakano. The restaurant used to be a takoyaki shop, but now it specializes in char siu. The exterior is white with an open kitchen visible from the window. The interior is filled with a Chinese-like aroma, creating a cozy atmosphere. The neon lights surrounding the restaurant logo give it a modern feel. During lunchtime, they offer four lunch sets and a variety of char siu options to choose from. I ordered the TKCG set, which is a unique twist on the traditional TKG dish. The staff recommended mixing the char siu with the sauce and eating it with the TKG, which I found to be a delicious combination. The ramen was served with a choice of salt or soy sauce broth, and I chose salt. The clear soup with thick curly noodles was visually appealing, and the strong salt flavor suited my taste. The char siu, made from pork shoulder and belly, was rich in flavor without being too heavy, complementing the noodles and TKG perfectly. The TKG itself had a rich and creamy texture, enhanced by the addition of tomatoes. Overall, the meal was satisfying and flavorful. I would recommend trying their takeout char siu for some home cooking experiments.

On this day, I went to Fukuro Char Siu in Nakano, which opened on March 21, 2023. I visited the restaurant on April 28, 2023, and it was a sunny day with a temperature of 22°C. This was my second stop of the day. Fukuro Char Siu is a Chinese noodle shop supervised by Yatagarasu, focusing on Char Siu as the main dish and creating a bar-like atmosphere. It is said to be a collaboration between Yatagarasu and Uguisu-ya, offering a new style of Chinese cuisine. The location is about a 6-7 minute walk from Nakano Station, beyond Nakano Broadway. Upon arrival, the restaurant seemed busy from the outside, and inside, there were 6 counter seats, a table for 6, and a table for 4. I ordered the "F Set" (Char Siu Ramen <soy sauce> + 2 types of Char Siu + Menma) verbally. For the Char Siu, I chose "Shoulder Loin & Belly Char Siu" from the four options available. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was served promptly. The Char Siu Ramen set looked simple yet sophisticated, showcasing the essence of Yatagarasu. The soup was flavorful with a hint of sweetness from the premium soy sauce used. The noodles were well-prepared and had a satisfying texture. The toppings included fresh green onions and juicy Menma. The Char Siu, consisting of Shoulder Loin and Belly, was served cold, but heating it up in the soup enhanced its deliciousness. Overall, the dining experience at Fukuro Char Siu was delightful, and I enjoyed every bite of the meal. The concept of focusing on Char Siu with various meat options is innovative, and the extensive alcohol and snack menu suggests a perfect spot for a drink and ramen course. Despite the recent opening of many new restaurants in Nakano, I hope Fukuro Char Siu continues to thrive. Another happy day filled with good food!

I was drawn to the concept focused on char siu and noodles, so I decided to give it a try. The exterior of the restaurant gave off a Chinese vibe, with char siu hanging behind glass, which raised my expectations. However... - Salt Ramen with 2 types of char siu and menma set: ¥1,100 - Shrimp Wonton Soup with 2 types of char siu and menma set: ¥1,350 The clear soup with thinly sliced purple onions and hand-cut style noodles had a thin and slightly chewy texture. The noodle texture lacked elasticity and felt a bit mushy. It seemed like they were aiming for Chinese-style noodles, but it was a bit disappointing if you were expecting traditional ramen. The salt soup lacked depth and was lukewarm. Most of all, the char siu, which I had high hopes for, was prepared using low-temperature cooking method, resulting in a lack of charred flavor and richness. The saltiness was also lacking. The menma had no crunch and was oddly soft. The separately ordered shumai was delicious. Unfortunately, this place did not meet my expectations, but it was bustling with families. Thank you for the meal.
