Yonmaya's different business style. I think it's not bad. It doesn't have any major standout features, but having those "liver skewers" is one point that stands out. The best thing is the price. Some places with skewers can be quite pricey, so in that sense, I think this place is reasonable. It's suitable for eating quickly and drinking quickly. Thank you for the meal.

In the area around Deep Nakano, there are many interesting shops. Today, I enjoyed some kushikatsu at Yonmeya. I started with the omakase set of 10 skewers and then added some extra orders. The kushikatsu is crispy and delicious. The menu mainly focuses on skewers, with few options other than fried foods. There was a fried potato salad, which was tasty, but I wished there were more regular salad options. On a hot day, a cold beer goes well with the kushikatsu. When you order a beer, it comes in a frozen glass. The food is a bit pricey for the portion size, but the drinks are on the expensive side.

Today I came here without knowing anything about it. When I arrived in front of the shop, I realized it was on the second floor, which I didn't expect. I told them the number of people and was led to a table. First, we toasted with a draft beer, which was delicious because it was hot. We had a variety of tempura as snacks, all of which were delicious. Especially the ham cutlet and camembert were great and unusual choices. Overall, we stayed for a long time so the price ended up being high, but we had a great time drinking and eating. Thank you for the meal.

I went to see an acquaintance's band performance at Nakano Sunplaza and ended up starting a drinking session in Nakano. My husband is a big fan of this restaurant and used to frequent it a lot when he lived in Nakano. He brought me here on one of our early dates, and this visit was after a few years! The tempura here is different from other places, not too heavy, crispy and light, it's so delicious! I could easily eat 10 pieces in one go haha. Personally, the simmered daikon radish and kelp with fish roe were the best!! I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Nakano. Thank you for the meal!!

◼️Nishi-Tokyo, a strong presence along the Chuo Line. A well-known chain of izakayas in this area that doesn't have any franchises. They specialize in kushikatsu, with 3 locations nationwide. Some recommended items include: - Salmon and ikura kushikatsu - Konbu with fish eggs kushikatsu - Fried horse mackerel with tartar sauce - Pickled ginger - Bamboo shoot wrapped in pork - Thick-cut ham katsu - Lotus root - Fried chicken wings with pre-seasoned coating - Asparagus - Quail with seasoning - Prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella cheese - Squid kushikatsu starting from 110 yen, which is great value for money. You can't go wrong with any of these choices. They also serve ice-cold draft beer and a cheap yet tasty sake called Takinotsukasa for 385 yen. The restaurant charges a seating fee of 100 yen. The first branch of Yonmaya, specializing in yakitori and grilled pork, opened in 1998 at Arai Yakushi-mae Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line. The company, Yonmaya Co., Ltd., was established in 2004, with Toshiyuki Omori as the chairman. They have around 60 directly operated stores nationwide, with no franchise outlets. This branch is relatively quiet and has a hidden gem vibe. The kushikatsu here is of high quality and great value for money. Next time, I'll try the carpaccio with fresh fish.

It's been a while since my last visit, over a month. I found my usual spot with a wall-mounted TV. Tonight, it's the WBC. I cheered for Ohtani while enjoying a cold beer. There were no appetizers, so I ordered the chicken skin with ponzu sauce as usual. The generous slices of onions and crispy skin were delicious. After the beer, I switched to a black hoppy set. From the recommended menu, I ordered the steamed thick-cut pork with new onions in a steamer. It took over 15 minutes to steam, but when I lifted the lid, steam rose up and the shiny pork and onions looked delicious. With the grated daikon radish and spicy miso sauce, the tender and flavorful pork belly and sweet onions were simply delicious. I also ordered my favorite skewered kombu, which had been temporarily out of stock due to price increases but was back on the recommended menu. The price remained the same, which was nice. The kombu here is not watery, with a rich kombu flavor and a crunchy fish roe texture. It comes with ponzu sauce, but I prefer to eat it simply with salt. I also had the classic chicken wing tips and fried horse mackerel with tartar sauce, both consistently delicious. For dessert, I had simmered pork cutlets! The richness of the pork from the steamer was different but equally delicious. It wasn't too sweet, so it was satisfying without getting tired of it. I ate and drank a lot tonight. Japan's victory made it a perfect night. Thank you for the meal.

I went drinking with a friend in Nakano and visited this place for our second round. It was the opening game of WBC Japan that day, and luckily they were showing it on TV inside the restaurant, so we enjoyed our food and drinks while cheering on the team. I was surprised when I looked at the menu because they had a wide variety of dishes and everything was so cheap! What amazed me the most was the prices of the vegetables! Even compared to a certain chain restaurant, the price difference was clear and very reasonable. The dishes went really well with their special sauces, and everything tasted delicious. Once you discover this place, you won't want to go anywhere else. With great cost performance, this place is a champion in the world of fried skewers! Thank you for the meal.

In 1998, the first branch of Yonmaya opened in Nakano Arai Yakushi, which is also my hometown. Yonmaya has now grown into a major group with 44 stores nationwide. Today, I visited one of the hidden gems among the Yonmaya branches in the Nakano station area for the first time! Here are the items I ordered: 1) Hoppy set (black) with chicken skewers (plum), pork liver (sesame oil + green onion), beef harami (wasabi soy sauce) 2) Shrimp, chicken thigh, fried horse mackerel (with tartar sauce) 3) Pickled ginger, garlic clove, shiitake mushroom 4) Nukazuke (pickled vegetables in rice bran) 5) Fresh chocolate truffles. The skewers were small and crispy, making it easy to enjoy. It's a cozy place where even solo female diners can relax and have a good time.

This is the best value-for-money deep-fried skewer restaurant in Nakano. Every dish we ordered was delicious! The drinks are cheap too! The salmon fry with ikura topping was incredibly tasty. All of this cost around 2500 yen. With such good value, you can order whatever you like without worrying about the price. I will definitely go back again.

I had a enjoyable meal with friends at Kushikatsu Yonmaya, a convenient and close-by restaurant from Nakano Station. The variety of kushikatsu was deliciously crispy, with the salmon and ikura skewer being a favorite. Each menu item was satisfyingly filling. The staff were friendly, and I look forward to visiting again.

On days when I finish work early, I like to relax and have a drink while watching the evening news program here. I start with some chicken skin with ponzu sauce, which has a crispy texture and refreshing taste that is just right as a starter. After beer, I switch to a Hoppy set. The pouring style at this place is really good. I ordered the mustard-flavored nanohana (rape blossoms) salad, which was listed as the lucky menu in the morning horoscope or on the daily menu. Although it was already night, it felt like spring so I went for it. However, the dish had too much moisture, causing the mustard flavor to fade, which was disappointing. But the nanohana itself was delicious. To lift my spirits, I ordered the buttered potatoes. This was a hit! The fluffy potatoes with a perfect balance of salty miso and butter were irresistible. The salty miso was so delicious on its own that it brought everything together nicely. The Hoppy glass was still full, so I ordered some skewers. In addition to the classic chicken wings, I chose my favorites: garlic, leek meatballs, nagaimo (Japanese yam), and asparagus. They were all delicious. For the finale, I had my favorite braised pork belly rice bowl. I ordered it in advance, and when the lid was lifted, a wonderful aroma filled the air. The ingredients included pork belly, bamboo shoots, quail egg, shiitake mushrooms, and carrots. The slightly burnt rice at the bottom added a nice touch. The meat, after being cooked with the rice, became tender and infused with flavor, with just the right amount of fat. I scooped some into a bowl, and savored every bite. It was so delicious that I couldn't resist, even though I knew I should be cutting back on carbs after drinking. I always end my meal with either the braised pork belly rice bowl or the tonkatsu and rice. Another delicious meal tonight. Thank you.

I introduced a restaurant in Nakano called "Uo no Yonmonya" before, but it used to be a small restaurant with only seating on the first floor. It was often crowded, so when we couldn't get in, we would always go to this place called "Kushiage no Yonmonya". This place specializes in kushiage, with a unique style that is not the typical Kansai-style kushiage. The restaurant has a second floor, so it's not as crowded as the other place. They have counter seats, making it convenient for solo diners. The rule here is to always order the assorted kushiage first. It comes with 5 different sauces and is delicious. I recommend ordering the 5-piece assorted kushiage along with other individual kushiage items. One recommended kushiage item is the fried daikon, which is very tasty and goes well with alcohol. Other popular items include red pickled ginger kushiage, oyster fry, and fried chocolate or daifuku for dessert. The staff is friendly, and the menu also includes a variety of side dishes and rice dishes. If you're in Nakano and looking for a good restaurant, I recommend this place.

After climbing the stairs to the second floor, you enter a restaurant with a counter surrounding the kitchen and table seating on the right side. There is a TV by the window, where you can watch evening news and variety shows. We ordered a draft beer, chicken skin with ponzu sauce, and beef tendon stew. The chicken skin with ponzu sauce was crispy and served with onion slices in a mildly sour ponzu sauce. It was well-balanced and always a favorite. The beef tendon stew was tender and moist, with daikon radish, carrots, and konjac in a miso broth, sprinkled with a little bit of chili pepper. We also ordered a set of black Hoppy and additional deep-fried skewers. The Hoppy seemed to increase in quantity each time we ordered, and it paired well with the fried food. The skewers included chicken wing tips, asparagus, and pork-wrapped negi (Japanese leek). Each skewer was delicious, with the chicken wing tips being a standout for its juicy meat and crispy skin. The asparagus was fresh and satisfying, while the pork-wrapped negi was a tasty combination of tender pork and soft negi. We ended our meal with a simmered pork cutlet, which was fried and topped with egg. The sauce was not too sweet, and the pork was slightly thick-cut, making it a great accompaniment to drinks or rice. Although we didn't order it this time, the braised pork belly and rice dish is also highly recommended. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere, and we enjoyed watching the kitchen and TV while leisurely sipping our drinks. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for the meal!

Now, Yonmaya is a place known for its kushiage (deep-fried skewers) but they also have a wide variety of izakaya menu items. As it was our second stop, we decided to toast with a glass of Hoppy, which we don't usually drink. We ordered a few kushiage skewers, all freshly fried and delicious. Even the cream croquette came skewered, which was a nice touch. There's no need for debates on whether this is necessary or not, the atmosphere is just right. We ordered a few more skewers, enjoyed ourselves, and left the restaurant in a good mood.

Stable Yonmonya Group "Kushiage version" offers a variety of kushiage options. On this day, I chose red wiener for 110 yen, squid for 110 yen, chicken wing tulip for 165 yen, kombu with roe for 165 yen, prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella cheese for 165 yen, onion for 110 yen, bamboo shoot wrapped in meat for 165 yen, and salmon with overflowing salmon roe for 275 yen. There were still more dishes I wanted to try, but since it was a daytime drinking and walking tour, I had to resist. (The frying might be a bit too sweet...)

I went to my usual izakaya. The tempura is always delicious, but the other dishes are also very tasty, and I always find something new. This time, in addition to the tempura, I ordered horse meat yukhoe, avocado and tuna cheese bake, fried potato salad, red snapper carpaccio, and chicken skin with ponzu sauce, all of which were exquisite. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

My family visited this place. We have recently been enjoying going to izakayas. Among the various options, we really like Yonmaya. The skewers are all delicious. We ordered the omakase set of 10 skewers and some of our favorites. This time we ordered quail pickles, chicken skin with ponzu sauce, fried potato salad, braised pork belly rice, simmered tripe, and umesho. There are many other tasty options as well. We will definitely visit again! Looking forward to the next time!

Tempura Four Monya on Tabelog has a rating of 3.47. The restaurant is located on the second floor and can only be accessed by stairs. This time, we visited with a group of six people. The interior of the restaurant has a casual izakaya style and is also child-friendly, with sweet tempura and rice dishes available. After toasting, we each ordered our favorite items. You can order tempura from 110 yen per skewer, and there is a wide variety of choices. Among the ones we ordered, we particularly liked the "Garlic Ball," which had a fluffy texture similar to potatoes and was a hit with my friends as well. Other options include "Tulip," "Oyster," "Shrimp," "Lotus Root," "Chocolate Truffle," and "Strawberry Daifuku Skewer," among others. There are also classic items like "Pork Liver with Sesame Salt," "Cold Three-Item Platter," "Quail Pickles," and "Sea Urchin Miso." The drink menu is also extensive, with umeshu made using Daruma shochu instead of Kinmiya. The staff's service was friendly and efficient, allowing us to enjoy our meal with peace of mind. We had a very enjoyable time. Thank you for the meal. Tempura Four Monya Address: Nakano 5-56-16, Nakano-ku, Tokyo, Murasakabaen Bldg. 2F Phone: 03-5380-4678 Reservations accepted, Access to the second floor is by stairs only, Closed: None

I had to work late on Friday, so I decided to stop by here for a quick drink before they closed. It was surprisingly busy, but I managed to find a seat at the counter right away. I ordered a set of five skewers, fried potato salad, and chicken tulip. You can choose from 5 different dipping sauces, each with its own unique flavor. The food was satisfying, just like the other Yonmaya restaurants.

Hello! I'm a table tennis girl! (^ω^) Today, I found a restaurant in Nakano where I wanted to have a drink. It's my day off, so I wanted to have a great time. I arrived at this restaurant and first selected a highball. The strong taste was impressive! Then, I tried the child-carrying kombu, and it was delicious, with a taste that felt like the essence of life. Very good! The texture of the chicken tenderloin I had was so tender and delicious that it made me cry. All the skewers here are delicious! I also enjoyed the quail appetizer, which was thoughtful and excellent. The conversation with my friends was lively and fun, and I made sure to enjoy some oolong tea to keep the mood light. The skewers of tsukune were also fluffy and delicious, like a baby's cheeks! Pouring the sauce on top made the flavor explode. This is how my day drinking in Nakano went, and it was wonderful! ===========
