I visited after 1pm. The restaurant was about half full, and all the customers were women! It's not that men would feel out of place, but it has a welcoming atmosphere for women, even if they come alone! I had the half curry set, with chicken tikka masala and seafood (mild), while the person I went with had the daily special pumpkin chicken and palak paneer (medium spicy). We also ordered mango lassi as our drink. The curry had lots of ingredients and tasted delicious, and the naan bread was soft and amazing! The staff were very kind and the service was excellent. You can also take home any leftover naan bread. It was my first time there, but the person I went with was a regular customer and even bought two extra naan breads to take home! They said it's still delicious when reheated after being frozen. I will definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal!

I visited for a late lunch on Saturday. I ordered a set with two types of curry. The naan bread was huge! I love the spinach and cheese curry, so I chose Palak Paneer without hesitation. For the other curry, I was torn between options but ended up choosing the seafood curry. When asked about the spiciness level, I requested it to be normal, but I think it could have been a bit spicier. The meal was very delicious, but I couldn't finish all the naan bread and ended up leaving some behind.

I visited during the evening and was warmly greeted by the staff. I ordered the Egg Curry with Naan set. The Naan was very large and filling. The Egg Curry had two hard-boiled eggs in it! The Cheese Naan I ordered separately was packed with delicious cheese.

I visited this place for the first time, also using Suginami Ward's shopping vouchers. I arrived before 12 o'clock, but gradually the seats filled up and more than half were taken. There were many families. Since it was Sunday, there were no lunch menus, only luxurious sets. The cost performance on Sundays is not great. I wasn't in the mood for a big meal, so I chose a curry dish with naan or rice and a salad & drink set for ¥330. The staff were friendly. I chose the curry with the restaurant's name, Kumari's Curry, at spice level 1. It had chunks of potatoes, carrots, and daikon, and the vegetables were delicious. The meat was chicken. It had a hint of coconut. The lassi in the set was small in size. I wonder if it would be different if ordered separately. The total came to around ¥1400, so the cost performance was not great. Since I don't come to Asagaya for lunch on weekdays, I might not visit this place often.

Thursday, 31°C, sunny summer weather. I arrived at 11:02 and was the first customer. I sat at the counter seat where my feet couldn't touch the ground. I ordered the Half Curry Set for ¥1,380, which included Chicken Tikka Masala and Seafood Curry with a spice level of 1 (SURYA1+). I also ordered a Mango Lassi to drink. The dishes arrived after 4 minutes. The Seafood Curry contained squid and 4 prawns. The Chicken Tikka Masala was made by grilling chicken over charcoal and then stir-frying it with masala, with shredded ginger as a highlight. The spice level of 1+ was mild, but I started sweating towards the end due to the heat. Both the curry and the Turmeric Rice (300g) were served in large portions. Overall, it was a satisfying Nepalese curry experience.

I went at a late hour and there were no other customers, so it was a bit awkward to enter, but the foreign staff member was very kind. I ordered a set of two curries - one spinach-based curry and one seafood curry with coconut base, both in a mild flavor. Both were delicious. There was no fishy smell from the clams. They recommended getting a refill of naan, but I was already full.

I visited the restaurant on Friday night. I hadn't eaten lunch that day and was feeling a bit down. They were open until quite late, so I decided to go there for a meal. I ordered a vegetable set and a draft beer to start. They also gave me some papad as a complimentary snack. When the vegetable set arrived, I ordered another beer. The set included vegetable curry and palak paneer curry, which is spinach curry with cheese instead of meat. The other curry was a vegetable curry with potatoes and beans. I ate them with hot naan bread. Towards the end, I was quite full from the beer, and when samosas arrived, I felt like I had overeaten. The samosas were made with potato paste and bean filling, deep-fried. It was a lot to handle. Maybe I should have just gotten a takeout instead. But overall, the staff was friendly, and it's one of my favorite restaurants. Thank you for the meal!

I ordered a lunch set with vegetables and chicken. I prefer curry to be a bit spicier. I am definitely a rice person, so I wish I could choose between rice and naan instead of getting both in a set. However, I liked how the staff refilled my water promptly and their cute comments on the trash can made me feel warm. It was my first time at this restaurant, so I made a reservation, which was a good idea as it was full during lunchtime.

The soft chicken pieces that can be easily crushed with a spoon are mixed in with the moist pumpkin. The crunchiness of the small green onions is also nice. Above all, it's great that both the curry and the naan are served piping hot. I love tearing up the naan, dipping it in the curry, and enjoying the crispy and fluffy texture. The spinach and pork curry of the day also looked delicious. I always think about trying a different kind, but end up ordering the usual. But it's still delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant over the weekend. It was an early dinner, but there were already a few customers. I was seated at a table in the back. I ordered Prawn Pakora, Chicken Do Pyaza, Fried Rice, Cheese Naan, and a draft beer. I started with the draft beer and papad for a toast. The Prawn Pakora was like an Indian-style fried shrimp, similar to fritters. The shrimp was small but made for a good snack with the beer. I chose the Chicken Do Pyaza curry, which was full of vegetables like onions, bell peppers, and ginger. The spiciness was mild. The Cheese Naan was as delicious as ever, hot and fresh. The Fried Rice was like an Indian-style fried rice, but a bit oily. I hope to go back and eat there again soon!

The lunch menu was very extensive. I wanted to try various types of dishes, so I ordered the Hajurukoragikana for 880 yen. Each dish had a mild flavor and was delicious. They offer free rice refills, so I got a second helping. With the refill, it was just the right amount for lunch. Even though it was around 1 pm on a weekday, the restaurant was about 80% full, so it seems to be quite popular!

I visited the restaurant after work. It's located about a 5-minute walk from Asagaya Station, towards Minami-Asagaya Station along Nakasugi Street. You can spot it by the Seven Eleven nearby. I started with a beer to unwind, along with some papadums. The main dish was Kumari Curry, a curry with plenty of vegetables and a strong ginger flavor. The naan bread was huge! I thought I could finish it all at first, but it was quite filling towards the end. The service from the staff was good. Next time, I'll try the set with cheese naan! Thank you for the meal.

I had lunch today. The counter was full during lunchtime. There are daily specials, but I still went with my favorite Creamy Pumpkin curry. It had tender chicken thigh meat and plenty of sweet pumpkin, which filled me up. It's delicious to eat the piping hot curry with freshly baked naan before it cools down. Thank you for the meal.

I visited during lunchtime again, and had my favorite curry. The hot naan and hot curry were delightful as always. The curry had chunks of pumpkin which were soft and delicious, and the chicken was tender and easy to break apart with a spoon. The deep flavor with melted onions paired perfectly with the naan, making it addictive.

I visit during lunchtime. I always have the limited Pumpkin Chicken Curry with a rich creamy base that is sandwiched in my desk mat. It comes with a choice of naan or rice and a drink. I usually go for the small naan because one piece is enough to fill me up, but you can get a free refill if you need more. I like the level of spiciness at 2 out of 5. The tender chicken and the sweet pumpkin are my favorite parts of the dish. Even though I always order the same thing, I sometimes try the daily curry specials if they are similar in flavor. The naan plate is warmed up, which makes it a bit difficult to tear, but I appreciate the effort. I will definitely come back.

Located in Asagaya, the atmosphere is quite nice even before entering. The interior is filled with a foreign atmosphere, which I personally really like. There are many types of curry to choose from, and I was having a hard time deciding, but the staff, who was a foreigner, explained everything very politely. Thanks to that, I was able to choose a very delicious curry. For women, it's worth noting that the portion size is huge. Both naan and rice come with the curry, and depending on the type, both are very delicious. They go well with the curry, making the meal very enjoyable. I didn't dare to try the spicy option, and just went with "normal" for everything. As a result, I was able to taste the flavors of the ingredients, which I think was a good choice. There is also a kids menu available, so it's child-friendly. The seasoning seemed to suit children well, as my child finished it all in one go. By the way, my wife also finished all her rice, so it must have been really delicious. I look forward to trying a different flavor next time, as I felt this was a place worth revisiting.

I have visited this place several times but never wrote about it, so I will do it now. Kumari is a curry restaurant that has been around for over 10 years. They have locations in Asagaya and Ogikubo. Their menu mainly consists of North Indian dishes that are suitable for Japanese tastes, such as naan and curry. This time, I had the daily seafood curry with a salad set A, which came with a mini lassi. You can also get a second serving of naan during lunch. The curries here are rich and flavorful. Despite not being a big fan of seafood curry, I found it to be delicious without any fishy taste. The lassi was also creamy and smooth.

"Kumari Minami Asagaya Store" Before going to see a friend's performance, I decided to grab a bite to eat, and the curry aroma from this place caught my attention! Without hesitation, I went in! The casual interior and the cheerful staff who escorted me to my table made a good impression on me. The menu explanation was clear and easy to understand. I was really hungry, so I ordered the "Thali Set" for 1380 yen. The taste was impressive and delicious! The naan was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the curry had a mild yet spicy flavor that was addictive. It had the authentic taste of Indian curry but was adjusted to suit Japanese taste buds. I couldn't stop eating it! For my drink, I chose the classic "lassi." It had a rich yogurt flavor but was light and easy to drink. The staff's service was excellent, the casual and cozy atmosphere in the restaurant was great, and most importantly, I was extremely satisfied with the food. I definitely want to come back again. I had a great time. Thank you for the meal!"

No matter how many times I come, it's always delicious! I always end up choosing the butter chicken. It's just so addictive. This time, I ordered cheese naan and coconut naan! The coconut naan had a hint of sweetness from the coconut inside, and it was delicious. I'll definitely come back again!

Kumar is a stable Indian curry restaurant located along the Chuo Line, but this Kumar is a bit of a walk from Asagaya Station. The exterior gives off a slightly unusual vibe. Upon entering the restaurant and looking at the menu, it also has a slightly different feel. While other Kumar restaurants have a lot of Indian-Nepalese menu items, this one has an overall stylish vibe. On this day, I ordered the half curry set. I chose the homemade curry and chicken tikka curry. Homemade curry is a menu item that you don't see at other curry restaurants. When the curry arrived, it was definitely not a half portion - there were two servings. The taste was not significantly better compared to other Kumar restaurants, but the variety of options was greater. It's interesting how even restaurants within the same chain can differ depending on the owner.
