I went to the afternoon tea at "WASHOKU Souten," a kaiseki restaurant on the 35th floor of The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho in Kioicho. I often have afternoon tea at the Sky Gallery Lounge Levita on the same floor, but this was my first visit to this restaurant. I ordered the ⭐️ [Enjoying the Heart of Japan] Souten's Japanese Style Afternoon Tea + Ronnefeldt Tea (window-side selection available) for one person at 7,200 yen. The menu is available until February 28th. <Menu> Appetizers: 1. Boiled greens 2. Persimmon and squid in white miso 3. Plum crystal tofu 4. Salmon roe chawanmushi sushi 5. Wagyu beef temari sushi (Wagyu beef with mustard) 6. Sea urchin and fatty tuna temari sushi (Chutoro with sea urchin) 7. Tuna temari sushi (Tuna with sesame) 8. Striped jack temari sushi (Striped jack with wood sorrel) 9. Scallop temari sushi (Scallop with caviar) 10. Kamasu temari sushi (Kamasu fish) 11. Conger eel temari sushi (Conger eel simmered) 12. Fresh salmon roe 13. Persimmon salmon sushi (Salmon with kelp) 14. Vegetable pressed sushi (Pumpkin, lotus root, red rice, black rice) 15. Shrimp tempura roll (Shrimp with mayonnaise) Dessert: 16. Dessert plate *Drinks are all-you-can-drink and refillable. - 15 types of tea - 7 types of coffee (hot or iced) It was my first time trying a Japanese afternoon tea, and it was quite enjoyable. The sushi was delicious, and the appetizers, chawanmushi, and dessert provided a satisfying meal. The view of Tokyo Tower and the Akasaka skyline was amazing. By the way, do you know why this area is called Kioicho? It is named after the residences of the Tokugawa family's Kishu Domain (Wakayama Prefecture), Owari Domain (Aichi Prefecture), and Ii Clan's Hikone Domain (now known for Hikonyan's popularity), with one character taken from each of the three families.

I was able to spend a relaxing time enjoying a gentle taste that made the most of the ingredients. I had a meal while looking at the Skytree in a great panorama view. From the simmered dish to the refreshing ones, I enjoyed scallops, vegetables, meat, fruits, post-meal drink, and you can change the rice to garlic rice for an additional fee, everything was delicious and satisfying. The course costs 9500 yen.

I came back again this time without learning my lesson! I ordered a different menu, but it was still delicious! I was shocked by how well the fish and okra matched. But what surprised me the most this time was the staff's English proficiency. A staff member who was just speaking to me in Japanese suddenly started speaking in English when foreign customers arrived, and I thought it was really cool. The night view, atmosphere, cuisine, and even the quality of the staff were amazing. It was truly spectacular.

The scenery and appearance of the restaurant are nice, but the creative Japanese cuisine offered at this price point is disappointing. A dish like hamburger and eggplant gratin for around 9000 yen is not acceptable, maybe if it was around 5000 yen it would be more reasonable. Despite the scenic view, the service provided by the female staff was subpar, to the point where she referred to conger eel as "isaki," which felt more like a casual dining experience rather than a fine dining one. Lately, I have been disappointed by the lack of exceptional service at larger establishments. If they are going to charge a service fee, I hope they invest more in proper staff training.

This month has come again! The food is always delicious and the view is beautiful. I thought I would see the sunset, but it's a shame that the view is facing east. When I mentioned this, they showed me a party seat where you can see the western sky! I would like to use it when going out for a nice meal with everyone or having a confidential meeting with colleagues in the future!

I made a reservation and visited at 18:30. It is a restaurant on the 35th floor of Garden Terrace Kioicho in Akasaka Mitsuke with a great view. They have sushi and teppanyaki counters. Personally, I think the steak is more delicious than the sushi, but it's a good restaurant with a nice atmosphere to enjoy a meal leisurely.

The Japanese cuisine at The Prince Gallery, called Souten, always has luxurious and beautiful presentation. The dishes are finely crafted and very delicious. The night view is also beautiful, making it a great spot for couples as well as business dinners. They offer a good selection of glass wines in addition to Japanese sake. While a previous five-star fair course was a bit disappointing, the regular course is consistently delicious. The sushi at the end is also very tasty, indicating a skilled sushi chef. I will definitely visit again!

WASHOKU Souten @ Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, located on the 35th floor. This restaurant offers a stunning view of Tokyo Tower and Skytree. The budget is around 20,000-25,000 yen. They offer a fantastic course menu that includes teppanyaki and sushi. The "Junrei KAISEKI Course" for 13,000 yen (excluding tax) includes dishes like Boiled Mitsuba and green shiso seed, Sashimi, Simmered sable fish, Japanese beef sirloin steak, 4 kinds of sushi, and Sake lees pudding for dessert. The sushi here is exceptional, with soft rice and gentle flavors. Overall, a great dining experience with delicious food and excellent service.

This was my fifth visit to this restaurant. The seasonal dishes and seafood offerings change, so I never get tired of coming back. Plus, the night view from that high-rise building is truly unforgettable. This time, I tried a yuzu soda that I had never ordered before. It was really delicious!!! I might order it again next time. The only downside I noticed is that the dessert options don't change much.

Reservation on a Sunday morning, arrived just before noon. I hadn't visited this area for a while, so I didn't know it was directly connected from Nagatacho, which felt refreshing. Went up to the 36th floor, then took another elevator or stairs down one level. The high ceiling, open and vivid space leads to the teppanyaki area. There was one other party already seated. The view from this area overlooks the Imperial Palace and Skytree. Apparently, the visibility was particularly good that day, with Mount Tsukuba visible in the distance. I opted for the 9500 yen course, which included a combination of scallops and 120g of Japanese beef. Started with an appetizer and a toast with beer. The scallops were sweet and had a great texture on their own, but they paired exceptionally well with the caper sauce. The side seaweed was also fragrant and had a nice texture. The beef was cooked medium rare. I paired it with a Barbaresco wine. Alternating between rock salt, smoked black peppercorns, wasabi soy sauce, and garlic sauce, I enjoyed the melt-in-your-mouth texture and the balance between the meat's flavor and the marbling. Rice, miso soup, dessert, and coffee were also included, and before I knew it, I had enjoyed a satisfying amount of high-quality food. Along with the stunning Tokyo skyline, I had a great time. Thank you for the meal.

The first time I went to this restaurant was on my birthday, and the service was so touching. The regular customers sitting nearby were also very kind, making me think it's a really great place. I make it a point to go there once a month now. First of all, the view is amazing, overlooking the beautiful night view of Kioicho. It's rare to find a teppanyaki restaurant where you can enjoy the night view, so this place is truly special. Next, the food. This time, I ordered the course with spiny lobster. Every dish was exquisite, but the spiny lobster was especially delicious. This time, they added a twist by serving the spiny lobster with orange salt, which really complemented the taste of the lobster and was delicious! The other dishes were also flawless, using seasonal ingredients. The attitude of the staff was also impeccable. Talking to the chef is one of the highlights of sitting at the teppanyaki counter, and it was really enjoyable. The other staff members not only brought the food but also engaged in conversation occasionally, which was nice. The clientele so far has been great, making it a wonderful place to enjoy a meal in peace. Overall, I have no complaints! I will continue to visit in the future!!!

Visited the restaurant for a dinner party on November 15, 2022. It felt like a familiar place as my friend had been there before. We were a group of five and were seated in a private room. We arrived at 6:30 PM and the restaurant was located on the 35th floor of The Prince Gallery, accessed by an elevator to the 36th floor. The restaurant served contemporary Japanese cuisine, with a focus on creative dishes. We all had highballs as our drinks. The meal consisted of various courses including appetizers, a cheese and vegetable mousse, a cheese tofu dish, a tomato and cheese chawanmushi, sashimi with fresh fish, simmered fish with taro, a hamburger steak dish, vinegared seaweed, soba noodles with mushroom sauce, salmon sushi wrapped in persimmon, and a chestnut Mont Blanc dessert. The service was excellent, and the dishes were creatively presented. Overall, it was a great dining experience at a restaurant that is suitable for entertaining guests. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The view is outstanding, with the National Diet Building below, Tokyo Tower to the right, and Skytree in front. The night view is also fantastic! However, the food, from appetizers to dessert, did not match the price. We ordered the signature menu, Aoten Kaiseki, for 23,000 yen per person. With drinks, it cost almost 100,000 yen for our family of four on our anniversary. It's a shame because the staff seemed to be trying their best. It's surprising to find such a high-end restaurant like this, especially during the pandemic.

The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho is a new Japanese restaurant called "WASHOKU" located on the 35th floor, offering traditional cuisine such as kaiseki, teppanyaki, and sushi with a modern twist. I visited with a friend and tried the lunch menu "Aoten KAISEKI" Kashi course, which included seasonal dishes served in artistic plates. The seasonal course included appetizers like blanched greens with shellfish, broccoli mousse with micro tomatoes, and marinated octopus with basil. The meal also featured a soup with turnip and fried scallop, a sashimi platter, a chicken and onion stew, grilled dishes like grilled yellowtail, braised turnip and beef tendon gratin, and cream cheese with herring roe. The meal ended with rice, miso soup, pickles, and a dessert of strawberry jelly and strawberry milk Mont Blanc. The dishes were a modern take on traditional flavors, but there were no standout dishes. The restaurant's high floor location promised a view of Tokyo, but unfortunately, the weather obstructed the view, and we could only see clouds. (Aoten Signature Seat, Window Seat, Couple Seat: Price: 8,500 yen x 2 people = 17,000 yen)

I was looking for a stylish place to have lunch during the New Year's holiday, and decided to try this place. It is located on a high floor with a nice view, but this time I sat at the counter. The New Year's lunch course was priced at 16,200 yen. Since it was sushi, I thought tea would be fine and decided not to have any alcohol. The course included the following: tomato mousse, small dishes, tofu, and more. Next was sashimi, and I was happy to see hagfish liver included, which I love. Then came the rich and delicious shirako. The rice bowl topped with plenty of salmon roe was smooth and flavorful with a good dashi taste. The grilled dish was cod, simmered konjac, and sweetened vegetables. There were 9 pieces of nigiri sushi: sea bream, tuna, gizzard shad, medium fatty tuna, ark shell, shrimp, salmon roe, and eel. The rice-to-fish ratio looked odd because I asked for less rice. Overall, the softness of the rice was nice. For dessert, there was pudding, macaron, and fruits. I thought the dessert had a rich sweetness for a Japanese meal. Overall, it was just "good" and I felt that 16,200 yen was a bit on the expensive side even for the New Year's season, but I enjoyed the lovely location and stylish counter. The service was also polite and attentive.

Located on the 35th floor of The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, this restaurant "Souten" has been closed or operating under shortened hours during the state of emergency. It has been 1 year and 9 months since I last visited the hotel, pre-pandemic. This time, I tried the Prefix Lunch instead of the sushi booth. I ordered the "Souten Course - Watsunagi" which is a customizable lunch set with a free-flow drink plan (8,100 yen). The taste of the dishes was decent for the price, everything was generally delicious. Although the free-flow plan did not include barley shochu, the staff kindly accommodated my request. The service quality was impressive. I wished there were more appetizers for the drinks, so I inquired about ordering a sashimi platter not listed on the menu, and they happily agreed. Considering the quality of the sashimi, it was a bit pricey but still satisfying. The view was also fantastic! [Menu] - Appetizer: Watercress and Yuba Tofu with Sesame Sauce - Warm Dish: Mushroom Potage (Steamed Yuzu Salmon Roe) - Main Dish: Simmered Cod and Shrimp Chili Sauce (Black Pork Fillet Tonkatsu and Tuna Sashimi) - Rice Dish: Bara Chirashi Don (additional 1,150 yen) - Dessert: Souten's Dessert, Yogurt Almond Tofu, Chestnut Mont Blanc Daifuku, Ice Cream and Fruit [Additional] - Sashimi Platter (5,900 yen): Tuna, Sea Bream, Salmon, Scallop, Squid - Coffee (1,100 yen) [Selection Free Flow] - Sparkling Wine, Wine (White, Red), Draft Beer, Highball, Non-Alcoholic Drinks, Barley Shochu (special menu) The total bill for two people was 27,815 yen. Maybe the additional sashimi was unnecessary? (laughs)

The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, located on the 36th floor, is a restaurant with the most beautiful night view in Tokyo. The staff were polite and lovely, maintaining just the right distance. Despite it being a weekday, we were seated at the best window table without any special request. The course meal was delicious with no complaints. The sashimi platter paired with Miyagi sake was exquisite. I would love to visit again whenever I have the chance. Thank you for the wonderful meal ☺️☺️

The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, located on the 35th floor, is a restaurant with a great view. The course I had included "cold appetizers," "hot appetizers," "main course," "meal," and "dessert" as a prefix. Although it is categorized as Japanese cuisine, I imagined modern Japanese cuisine, but the impression is more of a mix of Japanese and Western influences in terms of food, dishes, and atmosphere. Since it is on a high floor, light pours in from multiple directions through the windows, and the tables are arranged facing the windows, providing a panoramic view. The staff's service is also good, making it a pleasant place to spend time.

I arrived later than the scheduled time, but they welcomed me warmly, which was very touching. Having the chef prepare the dishes right in front of you is definitely a great experience. Every menu item was delicious and beautifully presented. The tableware was also lovely. In my personal opinion, with such high-quality meat, it would be even better if they served a little less of it and added another dish or some sushi. The service was impeccable, and I believe the price was reasonable. The chef was friendly, and the conversation and meal were both excellent. Thank you for a wonderful and delightful dining experience.
