I visited this restaurant for lunch on Sunday. It is located in a quiet area between Daikanyama and Ebisu stations, where there are few eateries, shops, and thrift stores. I ordered the signature hamburger and Cajun beef burrito (half size). The hamburger patty was thick and had a satisfying bite to it. The flavor was subtle, so I added some Heinz ketchup or the sauce provided. Thank you for the meal.

Finally, the North American continent edition. I visited "Gluttony," a Southern American cuisine restaurant located a 5-minute walk from Daikanyama Station for the first time. The restaurant has a bright atmosphere like an open cafe. When it comes to American cuisine, beef steak, hamburgers, and hot dogs are typical choices, but I decided to try a hamburger as a proper meal, not fast food. I ordered a hamburger (1,200 yen) with cheese and bacon toppings. The patty was cooked medium-rare, and its appearance looked delicious. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the sauce. It was a truly authentic hamburger with a rich meaty flavor. I can only describe it as delicious. After eating this hamburger, McDonald's burgers seem like snacks. The fries were also perfectly seasoned, making it a slightly luxurious lunch experience.

I arrived at the restaurant around 11:45 for lunch, but they were not open yet (due to a delay in ingredient delivery, they were only open for dinner on that day). The nearest station is Daikanyama, but it's about a 15-minute walk from Shibuya (slightly closer from Ebisu). I ordered the special New Year plate with a choice of Clam Chowder or Chicken Gumbo soup. I chose the Chicken Gumbo and added a half dessert set with Banana Pudding for an additional 350 yen. The total cost was 1950 yen, and the lunch came with a salad. It took about 30 minutes for the food to be served. The Gumbo was one of my favorites with a slightly stringy texture and a nice cheesy flavor. The vegetables were plentiful, and the dish had a good amount of chicken for a satisfying meal. The Hoppin' John with black pepper had a unique Japanese twist to it, and I found it a bit difficult to eat, so I mixed it with the tomato sauce on the chicken. The Banana Pudding was rich and delicious, with layers of pudding, bananas, and sponge cake. Overall, it was a fun experience at this American restaurant with a Japanese touch.

At Daikanyama GLUTTONY, my friend introduced me to a special off-menu item where they combine jambalaya and cheese omelette. Even though it's not on the regular lunch menu, they were happy to make it for us during lunchtime. The omelette with lots of cheese was delicious on its own. The jambalaya was spicy and rich, with big prawns and plenty of seafood. When mixed with the eggs, I couldn't stop eating it. It was a satisfying American-style meal. I'm curious about the sinful mac and cheese on the menu as well.

I found a hidden gem of a restaurant located about an 8-minute walk from Daikanyama Station, on the back side or maybe the lower side - it's hard to explain. The atmosphere was really intriguing, even though it was difficult to find at the end of a narrow alley. When I went in, I discovered that they have a special event starting tomorrow, and it seems like they may run out of items, including hamburgers. Today, I settled for just a coffee and went somewhere else. I will definitely be going back. The interior of the restaurant and the service from the staff exceeded my expectations.

The Mac and Cheese sandwich at this restaurant is made with red cheddar and mozzarella cheese, toasted to a golden brown. The macaroni and cheese filling is gooey and delicious, with a hint of black pepper. It's a satisfying dish, perfect for sharing. Next time, I want to try the banana pudding that was featured in a magazine. The restaurant offers unique Southern American dishes like Waffle Chicken, Jambalaya, and Gumbo Rice. The total cost for the Mac and Cheese sandwich with salad and coffee was 1700 yen per person. This restaurant opened in July 2021. This information is from the June 2022 issue of OZ magazine.

Banana Pudding ¥650 Black Tea ¥500 This pudding is moist and sticky, with a new texture that will amaze you from the first bite! It's more like eating custard than pudding, with a rich sweetness that isn't overpowering. The milky cream pairs perfectly with the generous amount of bananas! Banana lovers will absolutely adore it. Underneath the bananas, there's a hint of salty biscuit that complements it all!

I'm Takumon. Today is another beautiful day for a walk. I decided to visit a restaurant that has caught my interest for a while. Let's go! Today's restaurant is GLUTTONY, located about 5 minutes from Daikanyama Station. The name means indulgence in eating and drinking, which is apparently one of the seven deadly sins in Catholicism. The restaurant has a stylish and calm atmosphere, perfect for a date or hanging out with friends. The background music is cool, and the staff are friendly - Good Music Good Vibes! This already makes it a great place for me. They have a variety of menu items, with burgers being their specialty, but they also recommended Jambalaya and Gabon rice. Unfortunately, the meat was sold out, so I'll have to try it next time. Today, I had the Bacon and Porcini Cream Pasta for 1300 yen. The meal started with a salad, which was a pleasant surprise as I didn't know it was included. The salad was fresh and tasty with a Cobb dressing. The pasta was generous, with crispy bacon, plenty of porcini mushrooms, and cheese in a light cream sauce. The pasta was slightly soft, and it had more volume than I expected. It was delicious and satisfying. I wonder if they offer a larger portion? It's already a good amount, so I could share it with friends if they have a larger size. Thank you for the meal. They also have desserts and coffee, so it seems like a place where you can hang out like a cafe. Once again, I had a great experience and left with a smile. Takumon signing off. Cheers!
