First visit to Alegria for lunch at Daiba DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, attracted by the words "Gyukatsu". Arrived at the restaurant on the 6th floor at 11:10 am on a weekday, already a few tables were occupied and we sat at the counter (12 seats available). We placed our order verbally and by the time we were done, the place was almost full. Currently, instead of "Kyotama" (onsen egg), they serve "Mizore Ponzu" (grated daikon with ponzu sauce) as explained. Food was served at 11:30 am, and we shared a plate of shredded cabbage with wasabi on the side, along with soy sauce and sauce for dipping. We ordered the Gyuhire Katsu Kyotama Zen and the Gyusaroin Katsu and Sawara Katsu Zen. The Gyuhire Katsu was tender and the Mizore Ponzu was refreshing, but the favorite was the dipping sauce for the Kyocurry. The Gyusaroin Katsu and Sawara Katsu were served with yuzu miso sauce and black shichimi pepper, and although the slight bleeding from the Gyusaroin Katsu was a bit off-putting, it was still juicy and delicious. It was our first time eating Katsu while grilling it on the tabletop stove, which kept it hot and delicious. Feeling adventurous, we ordered an additional Menchi Katsu, which was served in about 10 minutes. Since we were getting a bit tired of the shredded cabbage, we tried grilling the Menchi Katsu along with it, and the combination was delicious, especially with the juices from the meat. Personally, I preferred the Sawara Katsu the most, with its fluffy and tender texture that went well with the Katsu. It seems that if you add the restaurant as a friend on LINE, you can get free refills of cabbage, rice, and miso soup. Overall, it was a delicious meal. We left at 12 pm, and there were 6 people waiting outside. The restaurant accepts credit cards and other payment methods.
