In front of this shop, there are two ticket machines, and although they look the same, the one on the right is for takoyaki, while the one on the left is for yakisoba and okonomiyaki. Be careful not to make a mistake by always lining up on the left! As usual, it's busy buying beer in the middle, earning Prince Points, it's really hectic. It seems like it would be better to consolidate the ticket machines. In the first place, these kinds of ticket machines are hard to navigate, so maybe they separate them by shop? I wish they would come up with more creative solutions.

Shinagawa Station Takanawa Exit, 4 minutes walk! I visited "Okonomiyaki & Teppanyaki Raku Jin" restaurant. This restaurant is located inside the food court "Shinagawa Kitchen" on the 2nd floor of Shinagawa Prince Hotel Annex Tower. It is produced by the popular long-established teppanyaki restaurant "Jinroku" in Shirogane. You can enjoy the taste of Jinroku in a more casual and casual way here. As it is a food court, seats are basically free seating. After purchasing a meal ticket at the ticket machine, you hand it to the staff and wait for your order. There are okonomiyaki and teppanyaki on one side, and takoyaki on the other side, but it seems that this side is the main one for receiving orders. This time, I ordered "Mentaiko Mayo Takoyaki 8 pieces" ¥890 and "Thick Noodle Yakisoba Large" ¥920. First, the takoyaki! It is a signature menu of the original "Jinroku" restaurant. Since there were many types that were not available in the original, I took a little adventure. The takoyaki with mentaiko and mayonnaise was topped with mentaiko without mixing them together, giving it a strong mentaiko flavor. The crispy surface and the gooey inside of the takoyaki would be appealing to many people. And the yakisoba! The yakisoba made with thick noodles has a chewy texture that is irresistible. I recommend it when you want to have a quick meal at places like aquariums, movie theaters, or during hotel stays. Thank you for the meal!

This is a light lunch before the movie, so I decided to have takoyaki. I bought a meal ticket from the ticket machine in front of the store, handed it to the counter, received a buzzer, and waited for a while. In the meantime, I bought a beer from the drink counter in the center (a different shop). The takoyaki was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and chewy.

Actually, I visited Rakujin-san about a month and a half ago, and I ordered the Butatama Modern Yaki, but what came out 15 minutes later was just a regular okonomiyaki. I didn't want to wait another 15 minutes, so I asked for a refund of the price difference and just ate it (see second photo). So, on this day, it was all about getting my revenge with the Modern Yaki. This time, I waited about 20 minutes for it to be ready, but it was indeed the Modern Yaki, haha. The burnt parts of the yakisoba added a nice flavor. I quite like it. The size is small to begin with, and it's cut into 4 pieces, making it easy to eat. But I think I'm good with Modern Yaki for a while (^_^;) Thank you for the meal.

Today, I didn't have much time for lunch again, so I had lunch at the food court in Shinagawa Prince Hotel. I suddenly had a craving for yakisoba, so I ordered the thick noodle yakisoba at this restaurant. It took about 10 minutes for it to be ready. The yakisoba with thick noodles was chewy, but for some reason, it tasted a bit bland to me. I usually don't like pickled ginger, but I ended up eating it all for some extra flavor. The yakisoba had plenty of ingredients like pork, squid, small shrimp, and cabbage, which was a nice surprise. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had some errands in Shinagawa and decided to have lunch at the food court in Shinagawa Prince Hotel after a long time. Due to the influence of COVID-19, it seems that they are only open on weekends. I wanted to try something I haven't had before, so I was torn between ramen and okonomiyaki, but this time I went with okonomiyaki. I chose the Butatama Modern Yaki, which is okonomiyaki with yakisoba inside. It took about 10 minutes to be ready. It looked quite small, like a pancake size. I couldn't tell from the menu photo, but it's quite small. It's just the right size for one person, like a pancake. Sometimes when I eat pizza or okonomiyaki alone, I get tired of the same taste halfway through, but this size was just right. It was generously covered with sauce, and probably homemade mayonnaise was swirled on top. The bonito flakes were dancing on top, haha. The sauce was quite strong and spicy. The mayonnaise balanced it out. It was cooked elegantly and deliciously, but when the sauce is this strong, well, it's basically just the taste of the sauce, right? It's understandable since it's a food court, but it would be nice if you could adjust the flavor yourself. Thank you for the meal.

I used it for dinner on January 15, 2020. I stayed at the Prince Hotel "N Tower". For dinner, I decided to eat at the food court. It was a weekday past 7 pm, so the food court was empty. I used a shop called Rakujin Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki. I ordered yakisoba (thick noodles) for 770 yen. It took about 7 minutes for my order to be ready. It had shrimp, squid, pork, cabbage, etc. Mayo was unlimited. I hope this information is helpful.

The takoyaki and zenzai were very delicious. Although there was a bit of a wait due to the cooking time, we were able to enjoy them piping hot. The zenzai was not too sweet, and the mochi was chewy. Next time, I would like to try okonomiyaki and modern-yaki as well. The sauce was delicious, so I have high expectations. The mayonnaise was light and easy to eat.

The children purchased their meal tickets at different times, so their orders were served with a slight delay. It was crowded during lunchtime, so we had to wait for a table. When we ordered, we were told that the okonomiyaki would take 30 minutes, but we waited anyway. The pork okonomiyaki was fluffy, and my first grader finished it all, but my toddler left some.

There is a shop in the food court of Shinagawa Prince Hotel. It is located next to a takoyaki shop with the same name, but they have separate order machines and cash registers. I was drawn to the Shinagawa Kitchen Limited menu item, the "soft and fluffy tofu and yam pancake." I chose the sauce flavor over soy sauce this time. You can add extra sauce and mayo at the counter. The freshly cooked okonomiyaki was topped with sauce, mayo, and bonito flakes. It had a soft and fluffy texture as the name suggests. The tofu was prominent, soft, and delicious. The sauce and mayo were tasty, but soy sauce might have been a better match.

On this day, my family visited Shinagawa Aquarium. For lunch, we decided to try the okonomiyaki restaurant at the food court in Shinagawa Prince Hotel. It's a rare find in the Kanto region, so we thought we'd give it a try. We ordered the Mix Tamago for 880 yen (tax included). The okonomiyaki was a bit messy with lots of ingredients mixed in. We also tried the Thick Noodle Yakisoba for 720 yen (tax included). The yakisoba had a light sauce and thick noodles, which were really good. The generous amount of ingredients was also impressive. The yakisoba was delicious, but the okonomiyaki was not so great. Date of visit: August 6, 2018

I used it for lunch on February 17, 2018. It was my first time using the Shinagawa Prince Food Court in two and a half years. Inside the food court, you buy a meal ticket first and then hand it over. I was thinking of getting the Pork Tamamodern Yaki (820 yen), but... I also wanted to eat ramen, so I ordered the Pork Tamayaki (720 yen). After the dish was served, you could also put sauce and mayonnaise on it, but... there was already enough on it so I left it as it was. If I have a chance to eat there again, I think I will try the Modern Yaki next time. I hope this information is helpful.

This is a shop located in the food court of Shinagawa Prince Hotel. This time, I ordered takoyaki. What I found interesting was the pricing - the "Rakujin Takoyaki" is 390 yen, but the "Dossari Negi Takoyaki" with extra green onions is 400 yen. For just 10 yen more, you get a lot of green onions. As for the taste...I have to say it was quite disappointing. The takoyaki was neither chewy nor crispy, and honestly tasted like frozen food quality. At 400 yen for 4 pieces, or 100 yen each, it's quite expensive. The only saving grace was the bonito flakes on top, which added a rich flavor. But with the takoyaki itself being like this...

Shinagawa Prince's 2nd floor, the food court "Shinagawa Kitchen" is located on the same floor as the bowling center. There are various food stalls such as Okonomiyaki and Teppanyaki Raku Jin, Takoyaki Raku Jin, Pizza & Pasta 1830, Kyoto Udon Mugenbo, Hirugao EX, Jojoen Kitchen, and European-style curry Don Pierre Jet around, with a café & bar in the center. I tried the takoyaki from Okonomiyaki & Teppanyaki Raku Jin. Established in the first year of Heisei era, this place offers the taste of "Jinroku," a Kansai-style Okonomiyaki and Teppanyaki restaurant in Shirogane, Tokyo, in a casual setting. However, the staff in the food court all wear the same uniform, and they move back and forth between multiple shops. On weekday nights, each shop was managed by one person. You purchase a food ticket at the ticket machine in front of the shop, hand it over, receive a calling bell, and wait at a nearby table. Shinagawa Kitchen Limited: Soft and fluffy grilled dish with tofu and yam: 680 yen. It takes about 15 minutes to start grilling after ordering. The soft and fluffy grilled dish with tofu and yam is indeed fluffy and soft. It tastes like tofu and yam as they are. It crumbles easily. It would be enjoyable for a family to share, but it may not be something to savor alone.

Today, I went to a movie theater at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel and watched "Aibou Series X DAY". Before the 2:30 pm showing, I had lunch at the food court in the hotel! There are about 200 seats, so even if it's crowded, you should be able to find somewhere to sit. The lineup of shops includes ramen, Italian, yakiniku, udon, and okonomiyaki. My wife and I chose okonomiyaki. The shop was produced by "Jinroku" in Shirokan. There is a vending machine for food tickets in front of each shop. I ordered the mixed okonomiyaki for 850 yen. When I handed the food ticket to the staff, they said, "It will take about 15 minutes" and gave me a receiver. When the dish was ready, I was called with a pager-like device that made a sound and vibration. After about 10 minutes, I was called, and I went to pick up the dish. It was about 15cm in diameter, nicely crispy on the outside. It had 3 squid and 1 shrimp inside. My wife ordered the fluffy tofu and yam okonomiyaki for 650 yen. I'm not a fan of yam, but I tried a bite. It mostly had the texture of tofu, but you can still taste the yam. As a side menu, we also ordered a plate of 4 hearty green onion takoyaki for 390 yen.

November 10, 2012 revisit. Before the movie, I looked around the food court for a light lunch and there weren't many options, so I ended up choosing this place. This time, I went with the classic "Butatama" (680 yen). Hmm... it's just not quite right. First of all, the sauce is not good. And they put on too much of it, so it's too salty! It would be better if it had a sweeter ketchup-based sauce. Also, the okonomiyaki itself has very few ingredients, so there's mostly flour, resulting in a lack of crispiness. Maybe it's because of the price in a hotel food court, but guests from Osaka might get angry (laughs). I also tried their takoyaki, so I wrote a review about that separately.
February 11, 2012, I came to Shinagawa Prince Cinema for the second week in a row to watch a movie. While waiting and feeling a little hungry, I came to the food court here. The food court has been renovated and it's much cleaner now compared to before. "Rakujin" has okonomiyaki and takoyaki sections, and this time I tried the "Tofu and Yam Fluffy Okonomiyaki" (650 yen) from the wide variety of okonomiyaki options. I'm half Kansai person, so I hardly ever eat okonomiyaki outside because it's common to make it at home and you can't expect good okonomiyaki in Tokyo. My bad feeling was right. First, despite not being very crowded, there was a 15-minute wait sign. In reality, the staff were slow and not very efficient despite talking to each other. That's not something you'd see in Osaka. The taste was indeed fluffy, but that's about it. Maybe okonomiyaki is just not meant to be eaten outside in Tokyo...
