Daikanyama toco Food Log 3.07 Price 8000-10000 "A Wine Bar in Daikanyama for Everyday Use" Located just a few minutes' walk from Daikanyama Station, this restaurant is situated in the commercial facility sarugaku, where many food and drink establishments are gathered. It is the sister store of baro, which I visited before in the same area, and this time I came with a foodie friend after seeing it in a gourmet magazine!
[Atmosphere] The interior is subtly dim with only a few counter seats, creating an adult space perfect for dates and the staff are very considerate, greeting you with a warm smile.
[Cuisine] Below are the menu items we had this time. I have marked ○ or ◎ for the ones that impressed me the most ☺️
-------------------------------------------------------
○ Sweet Potato Potato Salad / Blue Cheese and Chicken Ham
○ Octopus Plum Kimchi
○ Lamb / Dried Tomato / Ginger Spring Rolls
◎ Lotus Root and Shiso Shrimp Mayonnaise / White Miso Mayonnaise
○ Meat and Potatoes with Fish Sauce and Lemon Butter
○ Chicken and Cashew Nut Stir-Fry
○ Brown Rice Grilled Rice Ball Ume Miso
-------------------------------------------------------
[Price] We had about 8 types of wine and it cost around 13,000 yen per person!
[Reservation] Reservations can be made by phone (03-6809-0366). It seems like you can make a reservation even for the near future.
[Summary] Overall, I thought it was a good restaurant where you can easily enjoy delicious dishes and a variety of natural wines!! It seems like a nice place for a second visit too! I would love to visit again! It was delicious! I came here because I wanted to drink wine. The interior of the restaurant has only L-shaped counter seats, but it gives a spacious impression with high ceilings. The name of the restaurant, Toco, is taken from the "tokonoma" alcove in Japanese traditional rooms. The wines served here are natural wines, and I had two glasses of sparkling wine, red wine, and three appetizers. Each dish was a unique combination that made me think, "Oh, they go well together!" They were simple but paired well with the wine, and I could also sense some Japanese elements in the dishes.

This is a wine and small dishes restaurant, a sister store of my favorite wine bar, Baro. It has a small space with a counter and one table. The staff chose a wine for me based on my preferences, and the dishes were surprisingly creative and enjoyable, with many items that I couldn't have imagined from the menu. It was a lot of fun!

A place where you can enjoy natural wine and obanzai (Japanese home-style dishes). The dumpling-shaped shrimp mayo and spring rolls with lamb and ginger are all creatively delicious and pair well with wine. The atmosphere, including the staff, is elegant and reminiscent of "Kamome Shokudo" (a famous Japanese movie). Highly recommended for a date.

A wine bar-like place behind TSUTAYA with Western-style small dishes and a variety of natural wines at the counter. It's small so it fills up quickly, but you can actually drink on the benches outside (depending on the season). It's surprisingly close to the station, so you can enjoy not only this place but also the area around it.

Daikanyama toco 2/13 open Baro's sister store, Obanzai, and natural wine new store ^_^ Tell your preferences and they will choose a wine for you. Appetizer assortment, shumai, Nikujaga, grilled onigiri. The dishes are reasonably priced with small portions, so you can enjoy a variety of dishes. Easy to use for solo drinking with a counter seat. There are few Japanese food x wine restaurants, so it will be very useful in the future ✨
