I visited after a long time. I really wanted to eat that curry, but this time I was also tempted by the eel bowl. In the end, I decided on the curry and ramen set. I couldn't take my eyes off the simmered dish with fried egg that the person next to me ordered, but after a few minutes of waiting, my order was ready. As someone who usually eats a vegetable-centered diet, I was unsure where to start, but I started with the pickled radish, seaweed, and char siu, then slurped up the ramen, which had become almost like a plain ramen, before moving on to the curry. It was delicious as always. Maybe next time I'll try the curry ramen? On Saturdays, the curry ramen is discounted to 700 yen as a special offer.

I can only focus on a movie for 90 minutes. There is a soba restaurant located between Tachikawa Station and Nishi-Tachikawa Station called "Yasudaya." In my mind, when I think of Yasudaya, I think of the nearby Yasudaya that serves waraji katsudon. It was 12:45 when I arrived. The mother welcomed me, and there were four tough-looking men already inside the small restaurant. I sat at a table in the back of the restaurant, and the BGM was a lunchtime news program. I saw "sesame sauce udon" on the menu and asked if they could make it with soba. They said yes, so I ordered sesame sauce soba for 600 yen. After about 6 minutes of waiting, the soba arrived. The soba was sprinkled evenly with sesame seeds. I took off my mask and sniffed the aroma, but it didn't smell like soba, only sesame. I took a bite, and it was smooth with a good texture and a nice throat feel. The flavor of soba was not present, but the sesame flavor stood out. I dipped the soba in the sesame sauce, which was light and not too thick, and it complemented the soba well. I ate heartily, enjoying the meal. The soba was not refined or high-quality, but it was satisfying. I've come to appreciate the simplicity of ordinary flavors in food. I called for soba-yu, which wasn't offered, and it warmed me up nicely. I realized I had consumed a lot of sesame today, which is small but nutritious. Overall, Yasudaya's soba was standard but cheap, and the warm and welcoming service made it feel like a familiar place. There is no waraji katsudon, but they do have a regular katsudon. Thank you for the meal. Payment is cash only. There were two more customers after me.

I visited Yasudaya, located a 12-minute walk from Nishi-Tachikawa Station (along Tachikawa Minami Street). When I entered, a friendly mother greeted me. The small restaurant has four small table seats. I visited on a Sunday afternoon around 1 pm and there were two other customers. From the menu on the wall, I ordered the Katsudon Set and Ramen for 900 yen. The food was served in just 6 minutes. The ramen had a traditional flavor with a subtle dashi taste that was comforting. The noodles were firm and thin. Toppings included chashu, menma, wakame, and green onions. The chashu was small but flavorful. The katsudon had three pieces and was delicious when eaten with the sweet onions. The set menu had a satisfying portion size. It seems like they also offer delivery, and overall, it's a restaurant that is closely connected to the local community. Thank you for the meal.

In July 2022, I got stuck in traffic on my way to a restaurant I wanted to visit. However, I happened to see a photo of omurice next to me, so I remembered the name of the restaurant and visited it later. When I entered, there were three other customers. I checked the menu and ordered the omurice. The tonkatsu set meal that the other customers had was quite large, so I expected the omurice to be big as well. It arrived in less than 10 minutes. It was quite voluminous. The yellow pickled radish was a nice accent. The egg was thinly rolled, and the rice was ketchup-flavored but lightly seasoned. The well-cooked pork belly added flavor, and the crunchy onions paired well with the rich and sweet ketchup, possibly from Kagome. The balance between the rice and ketchup was good, and I found myself enjoying every spoonful. I haven't tried many omurice dishes from soba restaurants yet, but I felt that the texture of the egg, the cooking level, and the low oil content were similar, providing a reliable and delicious taste. I might focus on exploring omurice dishes at soba restaurants in the future. The omurice cost 850 yen. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant with my sister in January 2020. We found this place while looking for a place to eat on Tabelog because we had errands nearby. I was surprised. The curry here is really delicious. I think they probably make it from scratch, but it's rare to find curry this tasty. It doesn't have any weird sweetness from fruits, the spices are well balanced, and it's just delicious. The simmered udon is not too sweet, and it's piping hot (which my sister likes) and simmering with a good flavor. It warms you up. This time, we ordered the curry and mixed soba set. We found a great restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

-Curry Rice Bowl ¥800 tax included This is a soba restaurant located around halfway between JR Chuo Line Tachikawa Station and JR Ome Line Nishi-Tachikawa Station. It is not in a bustling area, and although it is along a street, I thought that they mainly focus on takeout. However, during lunchtime on weekdays, it was quite crowded. The small restaurant had four tables for four people each. Perhaps because there is not much competition nearby, it was full. It seems like they also have a fair amount of takeout orders. The staff at the restaurant were busy. Now, onto the menu. They have a wide variety of options, from affordable dishes like mori and kake soba to daily specials. Because I am addicted to curry, I decided to go with the curry rice bowl. I really like curry rice bowls from soba restaurants. Since it was crowded, I had to wait a bit for my order to be served. Let's dig in. [Curry Rice Bowl] The curry rice bowl here was unique for a soba restaurant. While pork is commonly used in curry, here they used chicken. The meat was cut into small, round pieces, similar to yakitori. Additionally, the curry itself was extremely thick and gooey. It seemed like they used a lot of starch or flour, as it had gelled quite a bit. Moreover, there were plenty of visible specks of spice in the curry, adding a nice kick. It coated the rice well. This was quite unusual and interesting. However, I was a bit disappointed that the subtle aroma of traditional Japanese dashi, which I expect from a soba restaurant, was not very noticeable. The miso soup with tofu and seaweed, along with the pickles, added a nice touch and felt like a good deal, typical of a soba restaurant. While the taste wasn't exactly to my liking and didn't suit me, I thought that in this area with few dining options, it could be a strong ally. Thank you for the meal.

I revisited Yasudaya, which I found right away, and today I had the mixed soba. The traditional dashimaki tamago brought back nostalgic memories. The taste was light and salty, with plenty of umami from the simmered ingredients. Thank you for the meal.

I wonder why, but this town's soba restaurant is one of those places you feel like visiting occasionally. The set meals are reasonably priced. The taste is not bad. You might feel like going there every now and then.

I have been going to this soba restaurant in Nishi-Tachikawa for over 20 years, and although I have been here at least a hundred times, I have never eaten soba here, which is unbelievable. I usually order the meat and vegetable stir-fry set meal or omurice, occasionally choosing other items like gomoku soba, chashu ramen, or curry rice. The reason is simple - when I'm in the restaurant, I hear the phone ringing for delivery orders, and the most common orders are the meat and vegetable stir-fry and omurice. Recently, I decided to try other menu items like mackerel miso stew with cold tofu and rice, ginger pork with rice, and katsudon. However, I still find that the best dish is the meat and vegetable stir-fry, followed by the omurice. The meat and vegetable stir-fry has a complex flavor with a perfect balance of meat juices and soy sauce, using mainly pork loin with cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, and a little bit of garlic chives. It is flavorful and satisfying. The omurice is also excellent, with a slightly firm, thin omelette wrapping around pork fried rice, topped with nostalgic ketchup and pickled daikon. The simple omurice is surprisingly delicious. Although the restaurant also offers delivery, they do not deliver to my house due to the distance. I usually drive to the restaurant on my way to work, and there is a coin parking lot nearby, so I do not find it inconvenient. Lately, I have been bringing a large plate in my car to take home the omurice from this restaurant.

This is a diner in a town without parking, making it difficult to reach by car. The interior has four 4-person tables, so if you come alone, you'll likely have to share a table. It seems like they do a lot of takeout, with orders coming in over the phone and deliveries made on motorcycles. I ordered the "pork cutlet rice" for 800 yen. They told me it would take about 20 minutes, and when it arrived, the cutlet was thick and crispy, which was satisfying. In the end, it was just average.

Revisit on 2012.07.12. Dinner It had been a long time since I last had the meat and vegetable stir-fry set meal at this restaurant, since February last year, but when I ate it again, the familiar taste was just as delicious as always. I asked for half a serving of rice, but the meat and vegetable stir-fry alone was filling enough, and I finished it all, feeling satisfied. Lately, I had been craving this restaurant's meat and vegetable stir-fry set meal for some reason, so I am very happy. Visit on 2011.02. Dinner This restaurant is a small soba noodle shop located along the Edo Highway that passes through Akishima City and Tachikawa City, about a 10-minute walk from Nishi-Tachikawa Station on the JR Ome Line. I arrived at the restaurant around 18:30 and sat at the table at the back of the restaurant. I ordered the usual meat and vegetable stir-fry set meal. The plate of meat and vegetable stir-fry that came out contained pork loin, pork belly, cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, and leeks, with a perfect balance of vegetables. It had quite a volume, and compared to the meat and vegetable stir-fry at the large restaurants on the bypass, it felt like it was almost enough for two people. Additionally, the set meal came with extra rice, plenty of hot miso soup, and pickles. The meat and vegetable stir-fry had a slightly salty and soy sauce-based seasoning, and the taste of the pork and the medium doneness of the stir-fry enhanced the deliciousness of the cabbage and bean sprouts. The miso soup and pickles were a bit on the salty side, but within an acceptable range that seemed to cater to the clientele. I sometimes feel the need to eat plenty of vegetables during a meal, so I come to this Yasudaya restaurant, and out of 10 orders, 9 times I choose the meat and vegetable stir-fry set meal. Since there is a lot of vegetables, I often ask for less rice depending on my condition. I have been a regular customer for over ten years, but I haven't had any special conversations with the staff. I just hold the meat and vegetable stir-fry set meal at this soba noodle shop in high regard. It is also the most popular choice for delivery orders, and among the few friends in the neighborhood, this meat and vegetable stir-fry set meal is highly praised.

This is a udon restaurant in the street. It's far from the station, so I wonder if they do delivery? I was really curious about this place as it's located along the Edo highway. This time, I visited for lunch. I saw a sign saying "Curry Udon" and without hesitation, I ordered that. After waiting for about 7-8 minutes, a piping hot bowl of curry udon arrived. The udon was decent, similar to Kagome frozen noodles, with a good texture and elasticity. The curry had a mature taste, not suitable for children due to its spiciness. It seems like they focus on delivery service, as I saw them leaving the shop a few times that day. They also had a map on the wall and two motorcycles parked outside. It's a nice little place.
