I went to "Kanda Daruma" for the first time, and found it at the corner of a crossroads using a map. This time, I purchased their famous "winged taiyaki" set, along with other items. The winged taiyaki set (3 red bean paste, 2 cream) cost ¥1,120, the karinto manju (3 sweet potato paste, 3 red bean paste) cost ¥800, and the salted soybean daifuku (2 pieces) cost ¥400. When you warm up the taiyaki in the microwave or toaster, the wing part becomes crispy. It was my first time trying winged taiyaki, and it felt like a good deal somehow. The karinto manju stayed crispy even when cooled, and my family loved it, saying "this is delicious!" The salted soybean daifuku had a soft texture and was also very tasty. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, in the rain, I went to Kanda to buy a snowboarding set. I decided to save on shipping costs and bring it back by car to Tokyo. Parking fees were high everywhere! They also sell strawberry daifuku and karintou manju! My two children wanted to try the karintou manju, so I ordered that too! But it's not particularly delicious. I'm happy that there's a lot of filling (flour) in it. Thank you for the meal! It's the main store of the Daruma taiyaki shop! It felt special! They asked if I wanted to eat it right away, and when I said yes, they reheated it for me! Roots also operates a shop called Kajoan, so there are likely many regular customers for their taiyaki-style confectionery. They offer tempting items like mitarashi dango, warabi mochi, and strawberry daifuku. I ordered the trademarked feathered taiyaki displayed in front of the shop. I chose the Custard Cream 220 yen, a fusion of Japanese and Western flavors. The product arrived in 3 minutes, and I ate it immediately. The feathered part was crispy, and the custard cream was not too sweet, complementing the flavor of the skin. Thank you for the meal.
