I heard that Edmond-san opened in Nakano and I couldn't wait to visit. I arrived on Saturday at 1:30 pm and there were about five people in line. The system was to buy a meal ticket once you reached a certain position in line, so I quickly got mine. I decided to order the ramen with a smaller portion of 300g instead of the usual 350g. The atmosphere of the restaurant, with its retro game theme and music from Final Fantasy 5, was very inviting. I was seated and ordered my ramen, specifying less vegetables, extra garlic, and extra fat on the side. The ramen was impressive, with a large slice of chashu that added a punch of flavor to the rich soy sauce broth. The noodles were firm and delicious, and the garlic added just the right amount of kick. The marinated fat on the side was a delightful addition, enhancing the already flavorful ramen. The combination of the ramen and the sukiyaki-style egg was like a luxurious treat. The vegetables added a nice crunch without overpowering the balance of flavors. Overall, this ramen shop in Nakano exceeded my expectations and is definitely a must-try for any ramen lover in the area.

Nakano Edomondo, 7th visit. Ordered half portion of pork for 880 yen, quail eggs for 100 yen, onions for 100 yen, garlic, and oil. Arrived on a weekday just before 2 pm, with two people waiting in line. Received the bowl of ramen in about 15 minutes. The soup had a sharper taste this time, possibly due to more soy sauce, and the emulsification was less than usual. The noodles and toppings were the same as always. It seems like they reduced the amount of onions in the bowl.

I visited the restaurant around 3:30 PM on 23/09. It was crowded, so I waited outside for about 5 minutes. The menu on the ticket machine includes ramen for 880 yen, ramen with extra pork and half egg for 1,080 yen, and soupless ramen for 900 yen. You can choose noodle portions for free: 180g, 220g, 300g, or 350g. Customizations include options for vegetables (none, less, normal, extra), garlic (none, less, normal), and extra oil. I ordered ramen with 220g noodles, less vegetables, and extra oil. I didn't add garlic because I heard the soup was too salty in other reviews. The soup was actually smooth, but I added seasoning halfway through. The thick noodles were to my liking, and the thick chashu slices provided a satisfying bite. Overall, it was delicious, but the only downside was that the soup cooled down quickly. Thank you for the meal!

Last time, the ramen was too salty so I couldn't finish it, but I didn't think Edomondo's skills were that bad, so I went back for a rematch. This time, I ordered it with a raw egg to make it milder. It was still a bit salty, but better than last time. The noodles had a good texture, the pork was great, and the soup was emulsified and delicious. I want to eat it with a raw egg next time. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a ramen shop that always has a long line in front of it. I ordered the soupless noodles and was advised to get a smaller portion since many people can't finish the regular size. However, when it was served, the portion was surprisingly large! The noodles were rich and flavorful, and the vegetables helped refresh my palate as I ate. I was able to eat more than I expected, and the raw garlic and fried onions added a nice touch. However, I still couldn't finish it all...lesson learned.

Ramen is high in calories, and young people who care about their appearance need to be mindful when eating it. If you're going to gain weight, might as well do it with delicious ramen. So, I visited Edomondo, which has high ratings online. The line was long and I had high expectations, but when I entered... to put it simply, the service from the staff was better than other Jiro-style ramen places. The flavor was a bit weak in my opinion. The chashu had the typical strong Jiro-style flavor. As for the soup, I couldn't taste much so I ended up changing the flavor with various condiments. However, the portion size was large, so it's great for those who want to fill up their stomach. Due to the high expectations set by online reviews, I personally found the taste not to my liking and felt like it was unnecessary calories.

The garlic flavor was strong and delicious ☺️ The noodles were crunchy, which might be a matter of personal preference! The BGM in the restaurant was awesome, playing music from past generations! Rockman's music was playing, making me feel like I was battling with the ramen w Thank you for the meal!

Arrived around 8pm on a regular night. There were about 8 people in line. Waited for about 20 minutes to enter and ordered ramen. The pork had a rich flavor and the taste was good, but it was a bit salty. Also, the noodles were thinner than typical Jiro-style noodles, which personally lacked a punch for me. The pork (thick pork belly chashu) was incredibly delicious. It was juicy and had a strong flavor. Personally, I would say it's not bad, but could use a little improvement (sorry for being presumptuous). Also, I wish they had black oolong tea or something similar available.

I visited with high expectations based on reviews and word of mouth, but I was a bit disappointed. The ramen was different from what I expected from a typical Jiro-style ramen. The vegetables were too soft and lacked crunch, which was not to my liking. The noodles were on the softer side, so I think they would be better if they were firmer. The soup was a bit oily, it seemed like there was a lot of oil by default. The BGM of Rockman playing in the restaurant and the guidance from the staff were good.

The flow from the waiting line to the ticket machine is unique (line up in the waiting line -> once you pass the sign, step out of the line and go to the ticket machine inside the store -> after buying the ticket, go back to the waiting line). It can be confusing for first-timers. The water server inside is very close to the neighboring seats, making it inconvenient to refill water. I ordered the ramen (350g of noodles). I usually order with extra garlic, oil, pork fat, and spicy, but this time they only added extra oil separately and told me to adjust the spiciness with the sauce on the table. I should have confirmed, but I have encountered many mediocre places that add their own regulations to the inspired Jiro style, so I had some idea of what to expect. When the bowl arrived, the visual was okay. The coloring of the bowl was cute. I took a sip of the soup. The rich flavor of the pork was not bad. I tried the noodles. They were very unpleasant. They felt chewy and had an uncomfortable texture when slurping. Was the moisture content and cooking of the noodles mismatched? Additionally, the powdery taste made it even more unpleasant. I took a bite of the pork. It was thick and satisfying. Towards the end, I tried eating only the vegetables, and I felt that the soup became very diluted due to the moisture from the vegetables. While there were some good points like the thick pork and cute bowl coloring, the overall experience was mostly unpleasant. Despite the good reputation, I waited for about 15 minutes outside, but honestly, this Jiro-style place is not worth it. In fact, it's like a torture to eat something that is both bad-tasting and in large quantity, so I wouldn't even eat it for free. If you want something Jiro-like in this area, the nearby Butayama is better.

I ordered soup-less ramen for the first time. The tenderness of the meat, the softness of the noodles, the oil, the vegetables, everything was of Jiro-inspired quality! It reminded me of the taste of Kanagawa Jiro. The meat was chewy and fluffy, just right in one piece. I had always thought that the taste at the Edmond main store was inconsistent or hit-or-miss, but this time it was a hit. Thank you for the meal. Garlic power.

I was feeling a bit tired, so I decided to go to Edomondo in Nakano to get some stamina with a hearty Jiro-style ramen before heading to Omiya Hachimangu Shrine. When I arrived around 11:15, there were 3 people waiting outside. I got my meal ticket first and waited for about 10 minutes before entering the shop. The ramen was served in about 5 minutes. I chose extra garlic and all toppings. The soup was easy to eat even in the hot summer weather, with a light and delicious taste. The noodles were not too thick and easy to eat, and there was a lot of them. The pork slice was thick and tender, and tasted great when soaked in the soup. I added some extra fat and vinegar to change up the flavor, and it was delicious. Overall, I felt like I gained some stamina after finishing the whole bowl, but I couldn't escape the feeling of being full.

I was feeling dizzy due to the heat, so I asked for garlic, but then completely forgot my order and only received a small dish of mayonnaise after my meal was served. I also forgot that the default option does not include raw eggs. Despite my mistakes, the meal was delicious. I need to pay more attention next time.

I arrived at the restaurant around 12:15 on a weekday and was lucky to find one available seat. I ordered the Ramen Buta Ichimai for 880 yen at the ticket machine and sat at counter seat number 3. I added a little garlic and extra pork fat, and my ramen arrived shortly after. The visual presentation was as appetizing as always, with a generous amount of delicious pork. Although I wanted to add another slice of pork, I wasn't confident I could finish it all. The noodles were cooked just right, although I could have asked for less if I wanted. I enjoyed the meal with the pork fat and crunchy vegetables, and slurped up the noodles with gusto. I added extra pork fat on the side as I ate, and despite sweating a lot in the summer heat, I managed to finish the meal in under 15 minutes. It's tough to eat ramen in the summer, but it was worth it. As I left, there were about three people waiting in line. The nearby Gochome Niboshi ramen had a line of about 15 people. I'll try going there when the line is shorter next time.

- Order: Ramen (1/3 portion) (880 yen) - Impression: There are multiple options for the ramen, each indicating the amount of noodles, which is helpful when ordering. Be careful when ordering as 1/3 portion comes with a generous 180g of noodles. The soup had some flavor, but overall it was light, yet the pork and oil clung to the noodles. - Situation: Visited around 12:30. No wait.

Edomondo @Nakano Soupless Ramen 900yen Quail eggs 100yen Oil, garlic, mayonnaise Arrived on a weekday at 1:30 p.m., lined up with 3 people. Got my bowl in about 20 minutes. The soy sauce flavor is sharp, with a hint of ginger. The noodles have a firm and crunchy texture, which I like in Jiro-style ramen. The default toppings include plenty of fried onions for the soupless version. I only ate half of the noodles this time, as it felt a bit too greasy with the mayonnaise. Overall, I enjoyed it and might come back since my taste for ramen has changed. #ramen #ramenlover #ramenclub

I revisited the restaurant on a regular night. I arrived before 6 pm, so I only had to wait for one group and was seated quickly. This time, I ordered the noodles with less quantity and added a raw egg. The noodles were firm and the soup was extremely rich, typical of Jiro-style ramen, but consistently delicious. Adding the raw egg helped balance out the richness, making it easy to eat. The staff also helped manage the traffic inside the restaurant and dealt with noisy customers, allowing me to focus on the taste. Personally, this is one of my favorite restaurants!

I heard about a popular shop inspired by Jiro-style ramen where people always line up, so I decided to stop by while I was nearby. Luckily, I was able to get in without waiting in line. Oh, you can't get extra pork unless you order a certain amount. Same goes for extra vegetables. When I finally got my bowl, the noodles were okay, the soup was decent, the pork was alright, but everything else was just so-so. Why do people line up for this place?

Ramen 1/3 (with one slice of pork) for ¥880. Add a raw egg for ¥50. There were about 6 people waiting outside the shop, but I was able to get in within 15 minutes. When waiting in line, if you cross a certain line, you have to buy a food ticket from the ticket machine, and only one person can enter at a time. The ordering system is unique. The amount of vegetables (Yasai) on the ramen is decent, but if you ask for "少なく" (less), you get less than usual, and if you ask for "少し" (a little more), you get a bit more than usual. I ordered with "Yasai sukuname de, ninniku, abura mash" (less vegetables, extra garlic, extra fat). The noodles had a minimum serving size of 180g, which was more than other inspired ramen shops, so I was a bit surprised. I usually prefer my ramen with soy sauce, but even without adding anything, the soup was quite salty and had a flavor that I really liked. The small pieces of fat pork on top were delicious and had a strong pork flavor. The separate plate of fat was sinful but so satisfying! Dipping the noodles in the fat plate was heavenly (ignoring any internal protests). You might not even need the raw egg here. Just the fat from the separate plate is enough to satisfy. Extra fat is a must here!

One slice of meat ramen with a little bit of vegetables, garlic, oil, and extra egg - so delicious! The firm noodles are great, giving a nice chewy texture. Sometimes Jiro-style noodles are not cooked all the way through, but that's not the case here. The meat is also top-notch. The interior of the restaurant is decorated with old games and soundtracks, which I personally like. However, the air conditioning doesn't seem to be working well. Are they not using it? That's the only downside.

"I went because someone on YouTube said it was really delicious!" I was told, so I went. It was around 6:00 p.m. on a Tuesday, but I was able to get in without waiting in line. There was a house ramen place called 5-chome House three doors down, and there was a line there. You buy a ticket, which is very convenient because the prices are written in grams. This time, I ordered a smaller portion with raw egg and onions. The ramen that came out had very soft vegetables, more like Fujimaru style than Jiro style. I started by eating the vegetables, and when I dipped them in the soup, they became flavorful and delicious. The noodles also soaked up the flavor well and were delicious. I felt it was the most delicious Jiro-style ramen I've had. I enjoyed it from start to finish, adjusting the flavor with onions and egg along the way. However, the soup was extremely salty and I couldn't drink it. Since the noodles and vegetables had a strong flavor, it's understandable that the soup would be salty, but I would have been happy if there was a diluted soup option."
