I love yakitori but as a lightweight drinker, my strong ally is takeout yakitori. At the Pearl Center in Asagaya shopping street, Inageya also offers takeout yakitori. You can see them grilling over charcoal right from outside. The skewers are stacked high by type, but they quickly get sold out so they don't stay stacked for long. I ordered: - Pork intestines: 120 yen - Celery and chicken breast salt-grilled: 190 yen - Chicken skin salt-grilled: 120 yen - Pork tongue salt-grilled: 155 yen The chicken skin was amazing, with crispy skin and plenty of meat attached for just 120 yen. The pork intestines were also generously sized for the price. The pork tongue was thick and chewy. The combination of celery and chicken breast was a unique small dish, with the light chicken breast complementing the strong celery flavor. They will re-grill your order if you ask, so don't hesitate to do so. Despite my regret for not being able to drink, I am grateful for the happiness of being able to enjoy takeout yakitori. Long live takeouts!

I was wandering about what to eat for lunch on the weekend. And once again, the alcohol ban, but who cares about that when it comes to sake... Oh, since the Day of the Ox is approaching, I decided to have eel, so I went to a restaurant where I usually get takeout yakitori. They served a fluffy Kanto-style eel rice bowl. The sauce was also very nice. It's not amazing, but it's good enough. The cost performance is great. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely go back again.

This type of yakitori restaurant is really nice, isn't it? By the way, there are many delicatessen shops named Inageya. The yakitori lined up is pre-made, but you can see them being grilled over charcoal in the store. As a result, you can taste the charcoal flavor in each yakitori, which is great. I purchased the following: Chicken skin with salt for 100 yen, Yakitori with sauce for 125 yen, Chicken tail with salt for 110 yen, and Pork tongue with salt for 125 yen (all prices excluding tax). The skin and tail were crispy on the edges. I bet they would taste even better when freshly made. The saltiness was light and just right. The chicken tail was not chewy but rather tender. It was delicious with a smooth texture. The pork tongue had a unique flavor when chewed, but it was thick and soft, making it easy to eat and tasty. The yakitori was also tender. The sauce was not too spicy, with a hint of sweetness that did not overpower the meat's flavor. Overall, it's a restaurant with consistently high quality.

☆One skewer of eel liver for 350 yen☆ ☆One skewer of chicken tail for 110 yen☆ I ordered these items. While walking through the shopping street between Minami Asagaya and Asagaya, I stumbled upon an eel restaurant billowing steam. They were also selling yakitori on the storefront, so I decided to buy some. The eel liver was cold and not great, but the chicken tail was delicious with flavorful meat for only 110 yen. It might be more of a yakitori place. I wonder if the eel would have been delicious if it was served hot. That's the overall impression.

According to information from an early reviewer in June 2020, it seems to be an old-fashioned eel restaurant. Today, I bought a variety of items and ended up with a lot of side dishes for dinner, so I decided to try some yakitori as a snack. Although it was early in the day and there weren't many options, there were decently cooked, large yakitori skewers at a reasonable price. The service had a traditional feel typical of a store in a shopping street. They packed the skewers nicely in a sealed bag with sauce, showing that popular shops really pay attention to service. I brought them home and had them as one of the side dishes for dinner. The yakitori (125 yen before tax) was well-cooked but not overdone, providing a satisfying bite. I remember it being described as charcoal-grilled, but I didn't really taste the smokiness of charcoal. When generously coated with the slightly sweet and light sauce, it was very appetizing. Many yakitori shops nowadays use overly sweet and gooey pre-made sauces, but this shop's sauce is light, not overly sweet, and has a natural taste, similar to traditional yakitori shops. The bonjiri (110 yen before tax) wasn't heavily grilled, lacked smokiness, but had a good amount of tender meat skewered, making it a great value. The chicken and green pepper skewer (185 yen before tax) is a combination I personally love. Compared to regular chicken and green pepper skewers, this one had a lot of green peppers skewered, making me feel quite happy. As a popular old-fashioned shop, they have solid packaging, consistent cooking without being over or undercooked, generous sauce, and overall, it's a well-rounded shop. If I had to nitpick, it would be great if the skewers had a more pronounced charcoal flavor.

I was able to get it. But lining up for takeout... it's still crowded, isn't it. We're all fools, including myself, for lining up. I'm sorry. However, the taste is delicious, the cost performance is good, so I'll go again when the self-restraint is over. Yakitori is really good after all. Thank you for the meal. I will come again.

When I first came here, I tried the most expensive chrysanthemum dish, but I found that the second plum dish was just right. The portion size was good, and the soup was not liver-based but delicious! I also tried the grilled chicken thighs and meatballs with sauce. The eel was fluffy and the sauce was a bit strong (I think?). The amount of rice was just right. The window seat on the second floor is nice - the view is good too haha. I recommend ordering some snacks, highballs, and beer while waiting for the eel to arrive.

Visited for takeout dinner on May 12, 2019. The yakitori was sold cold, so I microwaved 2 skewers for 30 seconds at 500w and they tasted delicious. I wouldn't recommend buying and eating them in the park as they would be cold. A microwave is a must. The taste was quite good, so I think the cost performance is good.

Today is a weekday, but I took the afternoon off and had a lunch drink with my senior colleague at work (lol). After careful consideration, we decided on this restaurant. It is located a 5-6 minute walk from JR Asagaya Station, and a 3-4 minute walk from Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line's Minami-Asagaya Station. The ground floor of this shop facing the shopping street is a takeout-only yakitori shop. The entrance is from the south side door. There is a slight step at the entrance, but it is easy to enter. Inside the shop, there are counter seats on the left and table seats on the right. There are also seats on the second floor, including table seats and semi-private room seats. This time, we were guided to the second floor seats. When we sat down, I surprised the staff a little when I ordered a highball (lol). Well, a highball at this time on a weekday is surprising, right? And when the drinks were served, cheers! As for the menu, this is a yakitori and eel restaurant, offering various parts of yakitori and eel dishes such as grilled skewers and kabayaki. The eel bowl comes in three levels starting from 2100 yen. Other rice bowl options include sauce cutlet bowl, chicken cutlet bowl, etc. The salt flavor of the yakitori is exclusive to eating at the shop, and you can only enjoy the sauce flavor for takeout. The alcoholic beverages include beer, sake, shochu, highball, and sour drinks. The prices are all reasonable, and even if you visit in the evening, you can be satisfied with around 3,000 to 4,000 yen. Since we were just having a light drink this time, we ordered a few yakitori sticks and an eel liver skewer for snacks. I wanted to order the chicken tenderloin, but they weren't serving it yet at this time. Anyway, we started with the chicken skin with ponzu sauce that we received as a complimentary appetizer. After about 5 minutes of waiting, the yakitori was served. It looked even more delicious than I had imagined. Next came the liver skewer. The grilling was excellent and it tasted great. After having about three highballs and feeling good, we finished with an eel bowl. This restaurant offers an "eel bowl" instead of an "eel box." The eel bowl arrived after about 7 minutes of waiting. - Taste Evaluation - Eel Bowl (with pickled plum) I asked for the one in the middle. At 2800 yen, this was just right. The thickness of the eel was decent, and it was delicious without any strong flavors. The amount of rice was quite generous, perhaps because it was lunchtime. The yakitori was surprisingly delicious for a takeout shop. You can choose between sauce and salt flavors, but the salt flavor is definitely better. The tsukune had a nice texture with a good balance of meatiness and tenderness. The thigh meat, with vegetables sandwiched in between, was also tasty. The eel liver skewer had a slightly bitter taste due to the liver, but it paired well with the sauce and made for a delicious snack. The size was just right, and I should have ordered two of them. Overall, I was very pleased with this restaurant where you can enjoy eel at this price range. Even after drinking and eating to my heart's content, it didn't go over 4,000 yen per person. It was a reasonable lunch drink experience.

I bought some yakitori from the takeout corner at Inageya. There was a line to order on Sunday evening. Inageya is also located in the Hibarigaoka Station North Exit shopping street. I bought negima (145 yen), garlic thigh meat (145 yen), and celery breast meat with salt (145 yen) yakitori for takeout. I also bought grilled thigh meat (350 yen). When I got home, I ate one negima and one garlic thigh meat without reheating them. The accompanying sauce was personally a bit too light and mild for my taste. Even though each piece was 145 yen, they were delicious to me.

This is a restaurant in a shopping street that serves eel and grilled chicken. They offer set meals and rice bowl menus during lunchtime, but I indulged in the luxury of having beer while snacking. In Yana gawa, it is common to have loach, but here you can enjoy Yana gawa eel. You can also order grilled chicken by the piece, which was perfect for snacking. After drinking for a while, I had eel tea rice porridge as a finishing dish, but the portion was so generous that I couldn't finish it. The atmosphere is down-to-earth, but it felt warm and cozy.

After lightly drinking with Tamegai Futo-kun, we decided to have eel skewers. We arrived at a restaurant that came up in the search, and my friend mentioned that they used to buy takeout from here when they lived nearby, but they didn't know there was a dining area at the back. It was around 5:20 PM when we entered through the side entrance. There were two customers already seated at the counter, so we chose a table. We started with a medium-sized draft beer (594 yen) and some complimentary dried persimmon seeds. We ordered: - Daikon salad (small, 324 yen) - Bonjiri yakitori (140.4 yen each) x2 - Garlic thigh meat yakitori (178.2 yen each) x2 - Liver yakitori (432 yen) - Fin skewers (345.6 yen each) x2 Unfortunately, the highly anticipated grilled eel was sold out. Since the kabayaki dish was a bit pricey, we decided to skip it. We ordered the daikon salad thinking we needed more vegetables, and it turned out to be surprisingly delicious. The bonjiri and thigh meat were both tender, with delicious sauce typical of an eel restaurant. The liver yakitori had a taste that made you crave sake. The fin skewers had a fragrant aroma of leeks, which was delightful. It took quite some time for the dishes to arrive, indicating that they were being carefully grilled. I particularly enjoy fin skewers at eel restaurants. After the draft beer, we had Ginrei Tsukiyama (793.8 yen), a cold sake, which was rich and delicious. It paired well with the eel skewers. The restroom was on the 2nd floor, which turned out to be quite spacious. Seeing the peacock and sea turtle taxidermy, it seemed like the restaurant had a long history. After spending a little over an hour there, the bill came out to a little over 2,000 yen per person. It was a bit disappointing that the grilled eel was sold out, but we had a delicious meal. Thank you for the feast.

The eel at the supermarket is good enough. Is the soy sauce spicy and the meat frozen?

I purchased pork cheek and pork jowl. I wasn't particularly impressed. The pork cheek lacked meatiness. I think beef cheek is better. Was it not grilled over charcoal? I didn't taste any smokiness.

I used to think yakitori was expensive, but it might have more volume than others. And it's delicious! The liver doesn't have a strong smell and is easy to eat. I love yakitori, and Toribou has a texture like tsukune, but it's even more delicious. Everything looks delicious. Toriboro - 140 yen Liver - 125 yen I've never bought eel, but it smells delicious and I want to try it someday. In the evening, there are always customers lining up to buy.
