This is a takeout sushi specialty store located in Ecute Shinagawa. The owner, Takewaka, runs several sushi restaurants in Tokyo, including in Tsukiji. They have also opened a branch in Tokyo Station called Tsukiji Takewaka Gransta, offering high-end takeout sushi. The prices are relatively high, with individual portions costing over 1,000 yen. They offer Takewaka nigiri for 1,550 yen, as well as other options like seafood bowls (1,280 yen), limited edition seafood nigiri (1,000 yen), and bluefin tuna bowls (1,000 yen). I tried the seafood bowl (1,280 yen), which featured three slices of bluefin tuna in the center. The ingredients were reminiscent of Tsukiji and Edomae styles. The bluefin tuna was fatty and high-quality, without any sinewiness. The eel had a moderate amount of sauce, providing a well-balanced flavor. The shrimp was thick and impressive, while the white fish included red snapper and golden eye snapper. Both were delicious, with the red snapper being firm and flavorful, and the golden eye snapper having a rich taste and a slight skin texture. The salmon roe was slightly smaller than usual but added a nice touch to the dish. The tamagoyaki was sweet, typical of Tsukiji-style. The vinegared rice had a subtle flavor, allowing the freshness of the sushi ingredients to shine through. The high-quality tuna and golden eye snapper showcased the best of Tokyo's seafood, while the eel, red snapper, and shrimp reflected the traditional Edomae sushi flavors. The packaging was neat and efficient, and they provided ice packs upon request. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy authentic Tokyo sushi flavors as a souvenir or for a quick meal on the Shinkansen.
