I went to the restaurant "Tadon" in Ikebukuro where you can enjoy delicious beef bowl. Today's lunch was at Tadon in Ikebukuro. It's a yakiniku bowl restaurant, and I visited again since the last time I came during a limited-time discount. This time, I ordered the Kirishima pork loin bowl (850 yen) with a regular rice portion. I think pork is a safe choice for this type of yakiniku bowl. The pork bowl had a good taste of pork meat and the sweet and savory sauce made the rice taste even better. The kimchi on the table paired well with it. I think the regular rice portion is better because if you get the large portion, you might feel like there's not enough meat. It was delicious.

Special Donburi (rice bowl) in large size. After attending a hobby class near Ikebukuro, I felt hungry and decided to stop by a nearby Tendon (tempura rice bowl) restaurant. I ordered the Special Donburi in large size. The balance between the rice and meat felt a bit off due to the increased portion of rice. Maybe sticking to the regular size would be better?

I've been curious about this yakiniku bowl restaurant for a while. When you order, they bring you kimchi, which is quite delicious. They also serve salad and soup, which comes with the special set. The special bowl includes three kinds of meat: kalbi, harami, and pork loin. The sauce is a bit sweet. The pork is tender, while the harami has a slightly strong smell. The kalbi is consistently delicious. All the meats are lightly seasoned. You can even eat just the kimchi with rice, and the cost performance is amazing.

The Kalbi Don had tender meat with a sweet seasoning. The Bibimbap had a choice of raw egg or meringue and was not too spicy with a generous portion. You can add kimchi from the table to enhance the flavor. It's a convenient and satisfying meal option.

Yakiniku donburi restaurant. Very delicious. The prices are reasonable, around 1000 yen, and you can eat to your satisfaction. I usually decide between the harami donburi or the special donburi depending on my mood that day. During the pandemic, they were selling their sauce, but unfortunately they have stopped now.

I visited on a regular night and was able to get in smoothly. There were also quite a few Uber orders coming in. I ordered the Harami Don for 750 yen and added a special soup for 50 yen. They asked me about the rice portion, but since the price was the same, I opted for a large serving. The taste of the meat is average, but with plenty of sauce on top, it goes well with the rice. It could be considered as a grilled meat version of a certain beef bowl chain. It's good that you can enjoy grilled meat at a reasonable price.

I visited the restaurant on a holiday afternoon. I was able to enter without much of a wait. I ordered the Special Donburi. It was served in about 5-6 minutes. The dish included three types of meat: kalbi, harami, and pork loin. The meat was tender and juicy, and the seasoning was flavorful, making the rice very enjoyable. It's a good option for when you want to casually enjoy yakiniku.

The normal delicious yakiniku bowl restaurant has about 20 counter seats only. Payment is made through a ticket system where you buy tickets in advance with cash only. The variations are not particularly unique but all seem to be worth their price. You can choose from small, regular, large, and extra-large servings for free.

After exiting from the east exit and turning left, continue straight towards the PARCO side along the tracks. You will pass the bicycle parking lot and reach a slightly dim area. Inside, on the right-hand side, there is a food ticket machine where you need to select dine-in/takeout first before pressing the menu button (I didn't know at first and got confused). I ordered the Special Donburi (950 yen) with a small rice portion. Normally, it comes with kimchi, but I declined as I don't like pickles other than pickled vegetables and takana. There are many male solo customers, but the seating space is relatively spacious, so it's safe for a solo female diner (probably). There was another female diner (a couple) as well. The food was served in about 3 minutes. The dish had 9 slices of meat, including harami, which had a slight smell, so I sprinkled seven-flavor chili powder to mellow it out. Feeling confident, I sprinkled it on other meat too. Delicious! By the way, they provide both a spoon and chopsticks, but the spoon is too small for the meat, and using chopsticks makes the rice slippery due to the oil and fat. Both are difficult to eat with (^^;). I started by creating space with chopsticks and then switched to the spoon for the latter part. It's cheap, fast, conveniently located near the station, and easy to use.

On the way from Ikebukuro Station to Shinbungeiza, there is a specialty shop that serves grilled meat bowls. It doesn't seem to be a chain store as I haven't seen it elsewhere. It might be using part of the legendary Sutadon recipe. This place is perfect for grabbing a quick meal in about 15 minutes. The fruity sauce is delicious.

A few minutes north from Ikebukuro East Exit. It's a restaurant located around the back of Bic Camera. They serve grilled meat bowls. The style is similar to a beef bowl restaurant. They cook the meat after you order, so you can enjoy freshly grilled meat. The sweet sauce goes well with it and it's delicious. I wish there was a bit more meat though.

I wanted to quickly satisfy my hunger, so I came to this restaurant! I used to have the impression that places serving hearty rice bowl dishes were not very clean, but this one is very neat! It's easy for women to dine alone here! I ordered the Special Rice Bowl with soup and a hot spring egg. The Special Rice Bowl comes with three types of meat: kalbi, harami, and loin! You can also choose the amount of rice. When it arrived, it looked delicious! The sauce is seasoned perfectly to complement the rice, making it hard to stop eating! I left feeling full and satisfied! The soup bowl was surprisingly large, but it's much better than a small one, right? (laughs) I recommend this place for when you want to quickly and deliciously satisfy your hunger alone.

Around the same time when Tokyo Chikarameshi started expanding its multiple locations, this restaurant opened. While the former mostly failed, this one remains unchanged. They serve dishes like grilled beef bowl and grilled beef bowl... somewhat mediocre food. From a consumer's perspective, a beef bowl is just like any regular beef bowl. However, unlike beef bowls that can be mass-produced and pre-made by simply putting the meat in a large pot, preparing a grilled beef bowl requires flipping each piece individually to prevent burning, making it labor-intensive. It seems challenging for chain restaurants to expand with this kind of menu. Now, getting to the main point... Upon pulling the heavy door to enter, the interior of the restaurant is a bit dim. On a Sunday afternoon during the third wave of the coronavirus, almost noon but no other customers present, only one UberEats order coming in. A dimly lit and quiet rice bowl restaurant, a bit unsettling... The Kalbi bowl for 750 yen has a sweet sauce that melts with a fatty texture. The meaty texture is good. The regular portion size is a bit small, which is disappointing, but the large portion is offered at the same price, so next time, I will consider ordering the large size from the start. Thank you for the meal, it was delicious.

On August 18, 2011, the second store in Ikebukuro opened in front of "Ikebukuro Station Park." The popular "Special Donburi" with extra large size, topped with "Special Soup" and "Onsen Tamago," is available at the ticket vending machine in the store. The regular, large, and extra large sizes are all the same price, with the extra large containing 450g of rice. Although there were no prior customers, the following customers were seated at a distance, ensuring that social distancing was maintained. It had been 3 years since my last visit, and I was asked about the presence of "Kimchi" on the table, which was not seen this time. There are likely three types of meat on the menu - Kalbi, Harami, and Pork Loin - marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce that was tempting and made the rice disappear quickly. The creaminess of the "Onsen Tamago" was irresistible.

I have used this restaurant for lunch several times on weekdays. It is a place where you can eat meat reasonably. In addition to the classic "Kalbi Don" and "Harami Don," the "Kashiwa Don," which you pour broth over at the end, is interesting. Considering the price, I think they are doing their best in terms of taste. The kimchi is all-you-can-eat, but it didn't suit my taste. It's a nice service to have salad included during lunchtime.

I came here based on a friend's recommendation. I didn't know there was such a place in Ikebukuro. I tried the Harami bowl for 750 yen. It came with soup. The Harami was marinated and tasted good with the meat. It was simply delicious and a good option when you want to eat meat at a reasonable price. ☆

Ikebukuro Station East Exit, about a 5-minute walk north along the tracks, you'll find Tadon Ikebukuro store. The store is small and not very noticeable from the outside, but the interior is still new and clean. Purchase a meal ticket at the ticket machine on the right side after entering the store. Then, press the button for the popular Big Bowl among friends. Also, press the buttons for extra rice and extra meat before taking your seat. This store has only counter seats, no tables. The waitress will inform you that it's lunchtime, so you can choose between a raw egg or a salad set. I chose the salad set, which came with a small amount of salad and seaweed soup. Also, there was kimchi in a pot on the table - I wonder if this is all-you-can-eat? Anyway, while nibbling on the salad, soup, and kimchi, I waited for about 10 minutes before my order arrived. And there it was, a mountain of meat that looked like a flower arrangement of meat, as if Hikaru Genji was reporting on it. The bowl contained four types of grilled meat - kalbi, loin, harami, and chicken, with extra kalbi on top. In the middle sat a warm egg, making it a visually appealing dish. The taste was, of course, delicious, and I devoured it in no time. Although it wasn't a huge portion, I was completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

A restaurant near Ikebukuro East Exit that serves delicious grilled meat bowls. They offer unlimited kimchi, which is one of the reasons I come here. I ordered the Kalbi bowl on this day.
