The other day, the fifth store of a popular donut shop specializing in freshly made donuts opened in Omotesando, with long lines forming. I visited the Harajuku store near Harajuku station on a weekday morning, so the line wasn't too long. I bought some donuts and also tried the fresh pistachio cream, a limited menu item at the Harajuku store. The donuts are made with brioche dough, which makes them very soft and moist, with a unique melting texture. The pistachio cream was packed full of flavor, with a nice balance of sweetness and a hint of nuttiness. The donuts in the set I bought to take home were also delicious, with a mild sweetness and a chewy texture. They would make a great gift as well. I highly recommend trying the fresh pistachio cream if you have the chance.

I received a takeout set with plain, chocolate, and matcha flavors. Even the next day, they were fluffy and delicious! I am curious about the freshly fried ones, pistachio cream-filled ones, and the flavors from other stores. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I visited during the daytime on a regular day and there was only a 5-minute wait! I bought two boxes of takeout which included plain, chocolate, and matcha flavored cream puffs, as well as freshly fried plain and pistachio cream puffs to eat on the spot. They were incredibly light and had a fluffy texture! The pistachio cream was also very airy and delicious.

You can get takeout without waiting in line! The box includes three flavors: plain, matcha, and chocolate. Donuts are only available for takeout. The donuts are lightly dusted with powdered sugar on the outside and have a fluffy and light texture inside. All flavors are delicious, but personally, I prefer the matcha and chocolate ones. The main store has a wide variety of flavors and is visually appealing, but there is usually a long line. This location offers the basic three flavors without much wait, making it a recommended spot for those who haven't tried it yet! Note that the eat-in option closes at 6 pm.

I visited I'm donuts in Fukuoka and was impressed by their freshly made donuts. There was a line of about 20 people, but it moved quickly as they only offer takeout. I purchased a set of 3 donuts (plain, chocolate, matcha) for 874 yen, as well as a freshly fried plain donut for 259 yen. The donuts had a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, and they were consistently delicious. I personally preferred the plain donut the most.

First visit. A donut specialty shop located near Harajuku Station. It is the donut department of the popular bakery "Ama something something" from Fukuoka. Already a popular store, this is the third store in Tokyo following the success of the Naka-Meguro and Shibuya stores. The Harajuku store has a slightly different concept from the other stores, as it has a cafe corner. And in the cafe corner, you can eat freshly fried donuts!! Having enjoyed the taste of freshly fried donuts from the Shibuya store, I had to go when I heard I could eat them freshly fried. I arrived at the store early in the evening on a weekday. There was a line of about 10 people, but it moved quickly and I reached the sales counter without much waiting. So, I decided to try the freshly fried donuts in the cafe!! But to my disappointment, the cafe corner was already closed (crying). Well, I kind of expected it. The closing time wasn't mentioned on the store's Instagram or anything. I asked and found out that the cafe corner usually closes at 6 pm, but some days it closes earlier. However, even though I couldn't use the cafe corner, I could still buy the donuts for takeout, so I bought some to take home. The donuts available for sale were either individually sold for walking and 4 types or a set of 3 for takeout. The individually sold ones were freshly fried donuts, but as a chicken-hearted person, I couldn't walk around Harajuku eating donuts. The set of 3 was like the one at the Shibuya store, packed in a box, but the flavors were fixed to normal, chocolate, and matcha, and you couldn't choose other combinations. Also, the set of 3 were not freshly fried donuts but the regular ones like at the Shibuya store. Well, they were just selling the ones already packed in boxes, so that's why the turnover was good. I understood. The items I purchased were a set of 3 takeout-only freshly fried donuts (810 yen + tax) in the flavors of I'm donut?, chocolate, and matcha. They were all simple with no fillings, but quite delicious. I'm donut? is the basic donut I bought at the Shibuya store. The moist and chewy dough reminiscent of a croissant is addictively delicious. The chocolate flavor has a slight bitterness from the cocoa, giving it an adult taste. The matcha flavor is a green donut with matcha kneaded in and sprinkled with roasted soybean flour. This was the biggest hit this time. Matcha and roasted soybean flour are just so delicious together (laughs). There were some disappointing points like no cream options and not being able to eat them freshly fried, but the taste of the donuts themselves was satisfying. It's a plus that you can buy them even at night, the turnover is fast, and it's close to the station. On the other hand, the freedom for customers is significantly low, so it's best for customers to choose the store based on their lifestyle. But, the highlight must be eating freshly fried donuts in the cafe. I need to try that too at least once. Since I haven't tried the highlight of the freshly fried donuts, I won't give a rating.

I went on a trip to Tokyo for my favorite event! I saw a donut shop with a long line and thought, "Wow, I don't want to wait in that heat." So I passed by, but the next day there was no line, so I bought some! The donuts were warm, fluffy, light, and delicious. It's a good thing it wasn't a place where you can buy them easily. I might end up going there all the time...

Takeout donuts are available for 810 yen (plain, chocolate, matcha) at I'm donut Harajuku store. Freshly fried plain donut costs 240 yen, chocolate 280 yen, matcha 290 yen. Pistachio cream donut and original milk ice cream sandwich donut are also available for 510 yen each. The freshly fried donuts are only available for dine-in, not for takeout. I'm interested in trying the pistachio cream donut. There might be a wait of around 10 minutes. The address is 1-14 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.

I lined up at the Naka-Meguro store several times in the past, but gave up halfway through. I heard that you can buy them at the Harajuku store, so I went there. There were 3 limited flavors available, and it seemed like you could buy a pack of 3 for takeout, which I was able to purchase in about 15 minutes. I bought a single plain one and tried it. It lived up to its reputation, and I can see why people are willing to wait in line for it. Personally, it reminded me of French toast. Next, I'll try the cream-filled one at either the Naka-Meguro or Omotesando store.

It was delicious!!! The classic three types were freshly made, with a bubbly, melty texture that was very delicious!! Personally, I prefer the ones that can be eaten at Shibuya store rather than freshly made, but both are very tasty so it's worth a visit!!

I'm Donut, a popular shop featured on "Matsuko no Shiranai Sekai" and "Sakagami & Sashihara no Tsuburenai Omise", opened on Saturdays 10 minutes before. There were 6-7 groups waiting. At this store, only three flavors of freshly fried donuts are available: Plain for 237 yen, Chocolate for 280 yen, and Matcha for 292 yen. I ordered the Matcha flavor and was impressed by its fluffy texture. The outside is crispy, while the inside is moist and chewy. As you bite into it, a gentle sweetness spreads in your mouth. This is a new sensation of taste, an irresistibly delicious treat that you can't stop eating.

Around 5 p.m. on the last week of August, there was a festival going on, so I waited in line for about 20 minutes. I got one to eat on the spot and took home a pack of three, which included plain, matcha, and chocolate flavors. On the second floor, there were also drinks available. I thought the ones to eat on the spot would be hot, but they were just as cold as the ones to take home. I wondered if it's better to eat them quickly after bringing them home. The next day, I tried the ones I took home, and the fluffy texture was the same. Harajuku only had three flavors, so I would like to try more different flavors.

I went around 13:00 on a weekday. There were about 10 people in line, but the number kept increasing. I only bought a set of 3 plain matcha chocolate for takeout, everything else was to eat right away. The taste was really delicious as expected, but I felt that the staff's mood was bad and a little intimidating. I understand that they were busy and stressed, but I thought they could improve their customer service towards people waiting in line in the heat. People who are sensitive to this might be bothered. The taste was so good that I will visit again.

A popular bakery called Mamudakotan, known for their donuts, has a specialty store in Harajuku, in addition to locations in Fukuoka and Omotesando. Despite the long line, the turnover is quick and you can purchase your donuts promptly. They offer single donuts for eating on the go, but only sell sets of 3 for takeout, which include plain, chocolate, and matcha flavors. The donuts are slightly small but fluffy, soft, and delicious. The chocolate and matcha flavors are not too sweet, which is nice. They also have a pistachio flavor available for eating on the go. I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance.

The fresh doughnuts are a classic item that seems to absorb a lot of oil, but the dough contains pumpkin, making it soft and chewy with a strong sweetness. When you bite into it, you get a solid American impression. The glazed doughnuts have a more traditional feel. The organic Svelt uses wheat dough with white vanilla beans inside, topped with white chocolate that is toasted on the surface, giving off a nice vanilla aroma. There was a line of over 30 people, with about 10 people entering the store at a time to select and purchase their items. The purchasing method is similar to a bakery, where you use tongs and a tray to pick your items. The purchased doughnuts are placed in a box, costing around 400 yen each, which is quite a reasonable price.

I had heard that I'm Donuts was famous for long lines, so I was hesitant to go. However, when I heard that a new store had opened in Harajuku, I decided to check it out. Currently, they have a limited selection of donuts, so there wasn't much of a line. I arrived 10 minutes before opening and was the first in line. At the time of my visit, they had freshly fried donuts in plain, matcha, and chocolate flavors, as well as non-fried donuts in pistachio cream and milk ice cream sandwich flavors. If you dine in, you must order a drink. The interior of the store has 5-6 small tables and a few standing spaces, so it's not ideal for large groups. I tried the plain and pistachio cream donuts. The plain donut was delightfully chewy, likely due to being freshly fried. The pistachio cream was generously filled with pistachio cream and had a rich pistachio flavor. If you enjoy the texture of donuts, I recommend trying the plain, matcha, or chocolate flavors. Personally, I preferred the pistachio flavor. I would like to try other flavors at different locations, but I think I can tolerate waiting in line for about 15 minutes.

When I tried to go to the store in Shibuya, there was a scary long line even before opening, but I really wanted to try it once. Then I found out it had opened in Harajuku. And there wasn't much of a line. I was able to buy it in about 5 minutes. The operation is super efficient! I had it for breakfast the next morning and it was so fluffy! I want to try it fresh next time!

I visited the I'm donut Harajuku store, which was said to have no lines, but ended up waiting a little. However, I felt that it was worth the wait. The interior of the store had an attractive design, and although I was a little disappointed by the limited variety of donuts, the ones they offered were delicious. Personally, I would like to see some firmer donuts added to the lineup. I would like to try any new menu items on my next visit. It's a recommended place to stop by in between exploring Harajuku.

On Sunday morning with almost no line (about 5 minutes wait), you should definitely buy this! It's a hassle to wait in line... They don't fry them fresh for takeout only. In addition to the usual 3 menu items, there are 2 more for eating on the go, etc. I was also interested in the one with pistachio cream, but maybe next time... It costs just under 300 yen each, but if you want to try a fluffy donut, definitely give it a try. The sweetness was said to be moderate, but it actually had a nice sweetness to it and was delicious. It's a taste that makes you want a drink.

Just opened new store. Located right near exit 3 of Omotesando Station on the Chiyoda Line, I happened to notice it while passing by. Crowdedness: Around 11:30 on a Saturday, no line. After finishing my errands and passing by again around 12:30, there was a slight line (2-3 minutes). What I ordered: Harajuku store exclusive freshly fried donuts - Plain ¥259. Takeout only regular donuts - ¥874 for a set of 3 (Plain, Chocolate, Matcha). The freshly fried donut was enjoyed on the spot. The outside was crispy, while the inside was moist and soft, very delicious. I wondered if it would be even more crowded once the hot weather is over.
