Japan's first brownie specialty store. Bought a 6-piece Tokyo Brownie as a souvenir for friends traveling from Korea. Regret not taking a photo of the showcase window. I'm weak against limited editions, so I got the Griotte Cherry limited to the Ebisu store for myself! It's rich and incredibly delicious♡ (1 piece for 518 yen including tax, a bit pricey but worth it.)

Tokyo Brownie. Elegant sweetness, not too overwhelming, great texture. Makes a perfect gift. 4.5 Would pay for travel expenses just to go. 4.0 Willing to travel a bit just for this place. 3.8 Would confidently recommend to others. 3.6 Definitely want to go back. 3.5 Willing to go if in the area. 3.4 Will go if no other options nearby. 3.3 Unsure if I would go again.

It's perfect as a souvenir, everyone loves the taste. It goes well with both alcohol and tea. There are brownies that last a long time, so you can enjoy them for a while. The place is a bit far to walk, but it's extremely delicious! The brownies are the best. The price is just right.

I purchased this as a souvenir for myself. It's a high-quality brownie with raspberries coated on top, a new product or limited-time item, I'm not sure. It comes in a pack of 5 for around 1000 yen. The size is small but it's quite filling. They also have pop-up stores in various locations from time to time, which is something to look forward to.

I received it as a gift♪ It's in a stylish bag and has a great sense of style! The outside is surprisingly crispy! But the inside is a rich and moist chocolate cake like raw chocolate! It's incredibly delicious! I didn't know there was a brownie shop this delicious... I'd love to go buy it again if I have the chance♪

This is a gift I received, a set of Tokyo Brownie and Apple Caramel Brownie from "côte cour". "côte cour" is located in the east of Shibuya, Tokyo. They aim to deliver the true taste of brownies to everyone in Japan. By blending two types of couverture chocolates, they create a rich cocoa flavor. They use carefully selected ingredients to achieve a unique and deep flavor. The Tokyo Brownie is a classic item from "côte cour", made with two types of couverture chocolates for a powerful cocoa flavor and a smooth and moist texture. Despite its appearance, it is surprisingly light and has a pleasant sweetness. The Apple Caramel Brownie is made with couverture chocolates, walnuts, apples soaked in Calvados apple brandy, and caramel-flavored dough. It has an elegant apple scent and a perfect harmony of bitter caramel. This one may be a love-it-or-hate-it treat, similar to rum raisins. Overall, it was a delicious experience.

Arrival in 2022. A variety of brands from "Shokurei" are becoming popular as traditional Tokyo souvenirs. The sweets that my daughter and son-in-law bring back are often from Shokurei, which makes me think they may have purchased them at the airport. They must be widely available. The packages are usually stylish, and the prices are probably reasonable for souvenirs. "Oriental Chocolate Sandwich" is coated with milk chocolate containing raspberry jam. It is sandwiched between cocoa-flavored cookies. The combination of the chocolate bitterness and the sweet and sour jam is delicious. It's a tasty cookie. I guess people can't help but buy it because of the excellent package design.

I tried a brownie that I haven't had in a long time since I first bought it after seeing it on the internet news when it first opened. It was a slightly bitter and elegant brownie with a mild sweetness, and it was delicious ♥ I received a cute one, not a big one like in kindergarten, and took a picture together! It was delicious for adults, but it seemed a little bitter for my daughter. Thanks to that, I was able to eat the extra 6 pieces and was satisfied! Since then, my grandmother has been in the ICU, but it seems that her consciousness has recovered and there has been no further contact. It's a good thing that there's no contact, but on Sunday, I discussed with my father and sister about what to do in case of emergency for each household. Even though I know what needs to be done, it's still painful.

Tokyo has a specialty brownie shop for souvenirs. The sought-after treat seems to only be available at Haneda Airport, so I had to give up this time since I was at the second location. I wonder if they offer mail order... Due to the expiration date, I decided to get the raw brownie for myself! It has a rich taste like raw chocolate and the acidity of dried fruits goes really well with it! It's easy to eat, delicious, stylish, and I think it would be appreciated as a souvenir!

Dessert Wine Brownie is the first brownie specialty store in Japan. It is an elegant brownie made with noble rot wine. It has a refreshing grape aroma when you taste it, but it doesn't have a strong alcohol taste. The outside is crispy, while the inside is moist. It's a satisfying dessert even with just one piece.

It is a small shop located up a hill from Ebisu. The shop has an elegant atmosphere and the staff are friendly. I purchased a single raw brownie and a set of three brownies. The raw brownie comes with a cooling pack for takeout and has a shelf life of 4 days in the refrigerator. It has a gooey texture, personally I prefer Tokyo Brownie. The Tokyo Brownie has a crispy surface and is delicious, perfect with wine. The Earl Grey Brownie is based on Tokyo Brownie with a hint of tea aroma. The Dessert Wine Brownie, also based on Tokyo Brownie, has a wine flavor that feels a bit artificial. If you are going to buy, I recommend sticking to Tokyo Brownie. It seems like a good option for gifts.

This is a specialty store in Ebisu (located in Higashi) that specializes in "brownies". Brownies are a chocolate-based baked confection that was originally made in American households. While brownies are a familiar treat in bakeries, this place is a specialty store dedicated to them. They use couverture chocolate in the dough and offer a dessert-like experience with combinations of fruits, nuts, and liqueurs in their "raw brownies". They also have brownies that have a longer shelf life, making them suitable as gifts. The store was opened in 2006 and was initially featured in magazines and TV shows for its "raw brownies" and alcohol pairings. It stands out from traditional homemade brownies. The store is operated by Sucré Co., Ltd., which also manages Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory and Franze. This is the main store, with branches in Matsuya Ginza, Lumine Tachikawa, Lumine Ogikubo, and Lazona Kawasaki. It is about a 7-8 minute walk from Ebisu Station. You can find it by walking under the Komazawa Street overpass from the west exit of Ebisu Station, crossing the Shibuya Bridge intersection, and continuing straight ahead. It's on your left after going up the hill for a while, with a chocolate-colored frame and a glass exterior. My last visit was in June 2007, where I sampled the "raw brownies" and, despite finding them a bit pricey, ended up purchasing 3. The interior of the store had a different feel compared to my previous visit. It was bright, with an expanded product selection that made choosing easier. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The product lineup includes: - Raw Brownies (5 varieties): Shelf life of 5 days (requires refrigeration), available for individual purchase - Tokyo Brownie, Earl Grey Brownie, Dessert Wine Brownie: Shelf life of 20 days (room temperature), available in small packages or assortments. I bought the following items (prices include tax): - Raw Brownie Size: 14.3cm length x approximately 2.2cm width. It's recommended to bring it back to room temperature before eating, as it has a rich texture similar to raw chocolate. Both paired excellently with coffee. ● Raw Brownie Almond (494 yen) A raw brownie topped with caramelized sliced almonds on a nut-flavored brownie base. The slightly bitter and sweet brownie combined with the caramel-flavored almonds provided the expected taste. Shelf life is 4 days. Ingredients include chocolate (domestic and French-made), sugar, eggs, almonds, mixed flour (wheat flour, sugar), dairy products (fresh cream, vegetable oils, butter oil, skimmed milk, etc.), margarine (vegetable oils, fermented butter, butter oil, etc.), wheat flour, butter, shortening, hazelnut paste, corn syrup, cocoa powder, honey, walnuts, salt/emulsifier, flavoring, carotenoid color (contains wheat, eggs, milk, almonds, walnuts, soybeans) ● Raw Brownie Orange (494 yen) A brownie topped with honey-soaked orange slices. The orange-infused brownie base is slightly softer. The sweet and slightly bitter orange, combined with a hint of liqueur flavor, balanced out the sweetness of the brownie and left a lingering taste. Shelf life is 4 days. Ingredients include chocolate (domestic and French-made), sugar, eggs, honey-soaked orange slices, mixed flour (wheat flour, sugar), Valencia orange peel soaked in honey, margarine (vegetable oils, fermented butter, butter oil, etc.), wheat flour, shortening, cocoa powder, liqueur, walnuts, corn syrup, salt/emulsifier, flavoring, acidity regulator, antioxidant (V.C), carotenoid color (contains wheat, eggs, milk, orange, walnuts, soybeans). The "raw brownies" were delicious as expected. However, the reason for lowering the overall rating was the use of margarine and shortening in the ingredients. While there may be various reasons for using these ingredients, as someone who is conscious of food ingredients, it was disappointing.

As of March 2022, there is a brownie assortment available for 2718 yen at a rare brownie specialty store. Among them, the "raw" brownie is described as having a moist and chewy texture similar to raw chocolate. However, when I tried it, the texture was more gooey and sticky, and I did not particularly enjoy it. Especially the honey flavor was very strong, so be cautious. The plain or almond flavors are safer choices. Despite its popularity for its unique texture, it did not suit my taste.

I was drawn to the sign of Japan's first brownie specialty store... and ended up going in. The store used to have seating for dining in, but now it's not available, which is a shame. I tried various super rich chocolate flavors, but I ended up liking the plain one the best! ❤️

Haneda Airport Terminal 1, 2nd floor, "Kanenotsubasa" (Golden Wings). In a corner of the Western confectionery area, you'll find "Coeur de Caramel" from Ebisu. This area not only has souvenirs but also offers individual items, perfect for a snack before boarding. This time, I purchased 2 plain and 1 orange Coeur de Caramel brownies. I tried the plain one. The "Coeur de Caramel" brownie is stick-shaped and easy to eat. The first bite revealed a moist and dense texture, with a rich chocolate flavor. This is exactly how a brownie should be - heavy but not too sweet. The almond texture and aroma added a nice touch. Although it may feel a bit pricey considering the quantity, it is perfect for a nice souvenir. I look forward to trying other flavors next time. Thank you for the meal.

After a meeting in Hiroo, I walked around to visit a client in Ebisu. On the way, I stopped by "cote cour" to buy a souvenir. The place is located east of Ebisu Station, crossing Meiji Street and going straight up the hill on the left side. "Brownie" is a type of chocolate cake born in Chicago, USA in 1893. I don't think I have actually eaten it before, or at least I don't remember. "cote cour" is said to be Japan's first brownie specialty store. This time, I searched online and thought it would be a good souvenir, so I stopped by. The store has a stylish atmosphere that seems fitting for Ebisu and Hiroo. In addition to brownies, they also offer "raw brownies" and "chocolate sandwiches." I was quite drawn to the "raw brownies," but considering the shelf life of the souvenir, I opted for the classic "Brownie Assortment 8 pieces." It includes 4 "Tokyo Brownies," 2 "Earl Grey Brownies," and 2 seasonal limited edition "Orangette Brownies." Since they didn't sell individual pieces, I had to give up buying one for myself. I only bought the souvenir, but the client opened it right away and served it with coffee. I tried the seasonal "Orangette Brownie." The surface of the brownie has Valencia orange peels visible. It's said to be honey-soaked, and the rich taste of chocolate and the acidity of orange are perfectly balanced, quite delicious. The brownie dough also contains Shonan Gold jam, which enhances the sweetness and freshness of the orange peels. As it's my first brownie, I can't compare it to other products, but I think the quality is quite high. Next time, I'd like to buy the "raw brownies" for myself. The bill came to 1,944 yen. Thank you for the meal!

"Cote Cour" is a brownie specialty store that was founded in 2018, making it the first of its kind in Japan. Their brownies come in stylish and cute packaging. All of their brownies are made using a special type of chocolate called couverture chocolate, known for its high cocoa content and rich flavor. They carefully select high-quality ingredients for their brownies. Unlike traditional square-shaped brownies, "Cote Cour" offers stick-shaped brownies that are easy to hold and eat. The brownie assortment includes their popular "Tokyo Brownie," "Earl Grey Brownie," and the seasonal "Orange Peel Brownie." The Tokyo Brownie is a rich and moist brownie made with two types of couverture chocolate. The Earl Grey Brownie has a fragrant tea flavor added to the brownie batter. The Orange Peel Brownie is a limited-time treat with Valencia orange peel and Shonan Gold jam mixed into the brownie batter. I tried the Tokyo Brownie and it was delicious, with a crunchy exterior and a moist and smooth texture inside. It had a rich chocolate flavor with a hint of walnut, making it a perfect pairing with coffee, tea, wine, or whiskey. You can also warm it up in the microwave for about 15 seconds to enjoy it as if it were freshly baked.

Today is my day off from work, so I'm going to do all the things I've been wanting to do! I'm going to enjoy some takeout and have a home drinking party, but I also want something sweet! That's why I decided to go with [cotecour]! Tokyo Brownies 6 pieces for ¥1,200. The taste at this price point is amazing! It's delicious on its own, but if you warm it up in the microwave, the flavor doubles! I highly recommend the chocolate brownies here! They are perfect for gifts or as a small token of appreciation. The raw brownies are also incredibly delicious, so I recommend trying them too.

When I visited a stylish butcher shop in Ebisu, I found a shop that specializes in brownies, which is the first of its kind in Japan. I couldn't resist going in. I've always loved brownies since I was a kid and used to buy them whenever they were available at the school cafeteria in America. The interior of the shop was incredibly stylish, and I couldn't believe that brownies could be such a trendy treat! Inside, I tried three types of brownies: plain, almond, and orange. They were like a cross between raw chocolate and gateau au chocolat, and they were delicious. Personally, I liked the plain one the best, while my wife preferred the orange one with a hint of acidity. I'll have to try the Tokyo Brownies that have a longer shelf life next time.
