I met up with a friend who was temporarily back from London and we decided to eat at a restaurant together. We looked at the menu outside and decided to try the pork bowl. My friend ordered the salted pork bowl with Iwajun pork, while I ordered the oil-drizzled chicken and ginger pork, as well as some oyster fry. My friend commented that it was quite oily. I guess once you're past sixty, fatty foods can be a bit tough to handle! (laughs)

I have been going to Shinagawa recently and found this restaurant that I really like for lunch. I ordered the set with ginger pork and chicken nanban for lunch that day. The combination of chicken nanban and ginger pork is perfect for satisfying your hunger. Both dishes were quite filling, and I left the restaurant with a full stomach.

I visited Shinagawa Season Terrace after a long time. It seems that there are fewer people during lunchtime compared to before, maybe due to teleworking. Many shops were selling bento boxes, but I chose to dine inside because it looked spacious and relaxing. I've been on business trips non-stop, so today I needed to recharge my stamina again. I found a place where I could eat meat, so I decided to visit here. It seems that their specialty is pork tongue, but I love stir-fried hormone, so I ordered that. It was packed with plenty of bean sprouts and vegetables, which was great. It's nice to be able to eat hot dishes right near the site. Hormone stir-fry is really good. Honestly, it's a dish that I would like to enjoy with beer. Even so, it went perfectly with white rice and I was satisfied.

During weekdays after 1pm, most places are moderately busy, but this place seems to have only salarymen. The other shops have a lot of moms with small children in strollers. The menu's top item is Stir-Fried Garlic Chives for 880 yen (excluding tax), with free extra rice. The bean sprouts are piled high. It's not stingy, which is nice. The liver has a strong smell. It makes you want a beer. The seasoning is good. I saw in other people's photos that the top menu item changes from time to time.

The pickles were cucumber, the miso soup was flavorful, and the rice was mochi red rice, a nutritious high-quality rice. Although the portion was generous, I wished there was more tripe as it was mostly vegetables. Overall, the dishes here are all about generous portions, making it a great place to go when you're really hungry.

During my lunch break, I decided to go on a little expedition. When I arrived, every place had long lines. I didn't feel like waiting, so I checked out the bento boxes being sold at various shops. After looking at a few, I ended up buying the best-looking combo bowl for 500 yen. It was a mix of fried chicken and ginger pork bowl. The ginger pork was quite juicy and for 500 yen, it was a great deal. It was really good. Since other shops also offer bento boxes, I'm thinking of exploring more.

I was stood up by the butcher at the same seasonal terrace, so I wandered around the restaurant floor in the mood for a beer and ended up here for the first time. I was surprised by the chicken cutlet appetizer. The beer goes down smoothly. Furthermore, the cabbage with plenty of chili oil on top can be ordered as many times as you like, and the beer goes down even more smoothly. Thanks to that, it was a very satisfying night.

I went there after visiting the sweet potato terrace next door! I ordered the pork bowl and my companion ordered the ginger pork set meal. The dishes that were brought to us were surprisingly generous in portion size! The pork piled on top without hesitation was great. The taste was okay, a bit too heavy, and the pork was quite fatty, making me feel a bit heavy in the stomach. It may be too much for women to eat. The miso soup that came with it was delicious and seemed to be made in the restaurant. It was nice that you could get a free refill of the miso soup! However, the staff were not very friendly, and they seemed to treat people differently... They were very polite and attentive to the tough-looking middle-aged man, but the service was more casual towards young salarymen, for example. Also, the tables were not cleaned at all!!! After the customers left, they only cleared the set meals and dishes, but they didn't wipe the tables, so it was very dirty... The seats we were led to were in a state where shredded cabbage was scattered everywhere. The restaurant is located in a nice building, and the prices are not super cheap, so I hope they will make a bit more effort...

I went to a restaurant for lunch today. I spent the whole day at an office in Shinagawa. However, I was a little late for lunch and decided to head down to the second floor restaurant area around 12:30. It was still crowded at that time, especially at popular restaurants, so my colleagues and I chose a place with shorter wait times. I ordered the "Chicken Curry (with Garlic Naan)" for 880 yen. The rice portion was generous and the curry had a nice level of spiciness. However, the chicken pieces were a bit thin and the rice seemed a bit unevenly mixed. Despite these minor flaws, I enjoyed the meal and left feeling satisfied overall.

The pork bowl is 1,210 yen, ginger pork set meal is 990 yen, medium draft beer is 561 yen, and lemon sour is 451 yen. You can order the same set meal as lunch in the evening, and there is no table charge, so it seems easy to use. The sauce for the pork bowl is on the sweeter side.

There is a dish called "Tonteki" made with Hormone and Iwanaka pork at Shibaura. The Stir-Fried Liver with Garlic Chives is also very generous in portion.
