Today I had a lunch meeting at Gaienmae. I made sure to research in advance to avoid being a lunch refugee, and found a place where reservations are possible, which is great! The location is within a 5-minute walk from Gaienmae Station. If you turn left on Gaien Nishi-dori, you will find the restaurant along the street. The restaurant has two floors, with the first floor housing the kitchen and cashier, and the second floor serving as the dining area. When I arrived at 1 pm, despite having made a reservation, the place was very empty, and it seemed like you could get in without a reservation. Orders are taken on the first floor. All the staff members are foreigners! There are many lemons placed inside the restaurant, giving it a French vibe! The customers are also foreigners, communicating in English, making it a truly international experience. I ordered the Sandwich Set (1290 yen) and an Iced Coffee (340 yen). The Sandwich Set comes with a sandwich, side salad, and soup. I chose the Le Parisien sandwich, which includes baguette, avocado, tomato, egg, sunny lettuce, red onion, and mayonnaise. For the soup, you can choose between hot and cold, and I chose hot, which was made with lentils, carrots, turnips, and cumin. All the dishes were rich in ingredients, with a not too strong but healthy flavor. My companion ordered the Salad Set (1490 yen), which had a generous portion of salad as the main dish, making it a great option for those looking for a healthy meal. The location was not crowded, reservations were available, and you could feel like you were on a trip to France, making it very convenient. The cost performance may not be high, but considering the quality of ingredients used, it seems reasonable.
