I checked on Tabelog that the restaurant is closed on Mondays, so I went on a Tuesday, only to find out that they are also closed on the second and fourth Tuesdays (I have already requested a correction on Tabelog). On my second attempt, I went on a Thursday, but they were unexpectedly closed. On my third try, I confirmed on Facebook before going and finally managed to dine in successfully. I ordered the special rich dried fish ramen for 1,300 yen and a mini chashu bowl for 350 yen. Since I arrived early and lined up, they gave me an extra slice of chashu as a service. The chashu comes in three varieties, all tender and delicious. The noodles were thin and straight, cooked firm to match the rich soup. The aromatic vegetables included mizuna and another fragrant ingredient that I couldn't identify, but it was not overpowering. Personally, I prefer the seasoned egg to be a bit softer. The soup was very rich without being too heavy or thick. It was a long time since I had such delicious ramen. The mini chashu bowl had seasoned minced chashu with onions and lots of green onions. The regular size is only 50 yen more, so if you have a big appetite, the regular size might be a better deal. The staff at the restaurant were all very friendly and I had a great experience.

I wanted to go to a popular curry restaurant but it was closed, so I decided to visit this place instead. It's located right near the station in a nice alley. It seemed to be a popular spot, so I bought a ticket in advance and waited for a table outside. I was seated quickly and my food arrived shortly after. The efficient service left a good impression. I chose the rich dried fish ramen, which was easy to eat without being too strong in flavor like a famous shop in Noge.

I found this place in Nishi-Arai for a late lunch. It was around 3:30 PM so I was worried if they were still open, but luckily they were. They recommended choosing between a light or rich flavor, so I went with the rich one and ordered the rich ramen with dried sardines. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

-Kikyou Light Soy Sauce Ramen (900 yen)
Just a 2-minute walk from Nishi-Arai Station. Visited around 1:30 PM on a Sunday and there was already a line of about 5 people waiting. This ramen features a blend of 4 types of soy sauce, creating a fragrant broth. It comes with 2 types of chashu, green onions, and wheat gluten. The soup is not too heavy, with a strong aroma and rich flavor. I would like to try their limited menu items next time. Thank you for the meal.

It is located just off the road of Curry Restaurant Oji Murugi, right near the station. There were 4 people waiting in the scorching sun on a holiday afternoon past 2 o'clock. However, while waiting, they provided cold water as a service. You buy a meal ticket first, then enter the restaurant and can start eating as soon as you sit down. The menu includes Kikyo - light soy sauce ramen, Sora - rich dried fish ramen. I had the rich dried fish and egg ramen for 1050 yen, with an additional 100 yen for chicken chashu. On top of the noodles, there were chopped onions, red aralia, watercress, and something like myoga. It's not easily recognizable by appearance, but it goes perfectly with the rich soup, giving a refreshing feeling. The noodles were firm and straight. The soup was creamy with a strong dried fish flavor, yet it was refreshing. Personally, I didn't feel the strong impact of dried fish in the chicken-based soup. The best thing about this place is the incredibly high level of customer service. When I finished my meal and got up from the 4th seat, the owner or someone similar bowed their head and thanked me very politely, saying "Thank you for finishing your meal." This is a service that you don't see in many ramen shops. They also have aprons and luggage baskets. Next time, I want to try the Kikyo - light soy sauce ramen. Thank you for the delicious ramen. It was a treat.

I visited Nishiarai for work and decided to search for a local delicious restaurant on Tabelog during lunchtime. The impression of the delicious soup was the deciding factor. When I stood in front of the ticket machine, I questioned myself if I really wanted to eat ramen in this intense heat, but I stayed true to my initial decision and chose the Special Light Soy Sauce Ramen with thick-sliced chashu. The result was spot on. Even though it wasn't a rich broth, the bonito stock was quite prominent. The soy sauce flavor was deep, and I finished every drop of the soup. The noodles also had a good balance with the soup. On the other hand, the thick-sliced chashu was not necessary. It didn't add much volume to the dish.

Today, I had a business meeting in Tokyo with my boss, so I asked my colleague for a recommendation and ended up at Kikyo. I heard they serve richly flavored boiled fish broth, so I was looking forward to it! The restaurant only has counter seats, but the turnover is good, and they even provide water outside to help combat the heat! Surrounded by friendly staff with lovely smiles, I waited eagerly and then my bowl arrived! The thick, flavorful soup looked delicious even at first glance! And the curly noodles that it was served with were perfectly intertwined with the soup! To survive the hot summer, be sure to give this place a try!

#Ramen#RamenActivityToday I went to Nishiarai for some ramen activity. It was my second time in Nishiarai, I remembered coming to Galaxy City before. Today, I was here for a different reason, with my dad. Before our errands, we had lunch at Kikyo to Sora, a ramen shop near the station. It was a hot day, and there were a few people waiting in line outside, so we waited a bit while drinking cold water. It was tough waiting in the heat. After a short wait, we entered the shop.
I ordered the cold ramen, which had wasabi and aromatic vegetables that gave a refreshing taste to the ramen. It was smooth and delicious, though it felt more like a salad than ramen. I made a mistake of adding an egg as a topping, which made it too egg-heavy since it already came with an egg by default. I should have chosen a different topping instead. My dad ordered a ramen with a bonito base, which was quite thick and rich, though it lacked a bit of depth in flavor. Yeah, I agree.

I visited the restaurant for the first time in a while since it opened. I arrived around 11:05 am and had to buy a meal ticket as there was already a line outside. There was no shade and it was hot, but I was able to enter the restaurant in about 10 minutes. I ordered the tsukemen with free extra noodles, and I couldn't resist getting the extra noodles. The portion of toppings was generous, and the extra noodles hit me hard at the end, but I managed to finish everything. The service was excellent, and it's no wonder the restaurant is always busy.

I heard that this place near Nishi-Arai Station in Adachi Ward is a popular spot. I arrived just before the last order at 8:45 PM. The restaurant is known for its two signature dishes, "Kikyo (Light Soy Sauce)" and "Sora (Rich Dried Fish)". This time, I ordered the "Sora Special Rich Dried Fish Ramen (1,300 yen including tax)". After ordering, the staff informed me that there was a delay in serving due to equipment trouble. In the end, I only had to wait for about 10 minutes, so it wasn't a big deal, but they kept apologizing and updating me on the progress. The thick dried fish broth ramen had a mild saltiness and a strong aroma, with generous toppings that left me feeling satisfied. [Visit Date] Friday (Sunny)/8:35 PM [Queue] None [Amount Spent] 1,650 yen [Serving Time] Approximately 11 minutes

I think this is the most polite ramen shop in the ramen world. I've been to many ramen shops, but I was surprised by how polite the service was here. I ordered the boiled fish ramen! It was rich and delicious~ I really wanted to try the risotto as well, but I was too full to order it. After eating ramen, I went to Horita Yu sauna~ Best day off!

First visit, greeted by energetic staff, ordered food ticket and took a seat. Since it was just the beginning of the evening service, I was able to find a seat quickly. I had the Kikyo (light soy sauce ramen) with extra onions. As it was the first evening service, they gave me an extra slice of chashu as a service, which I appreciated. The ramen had clean straight noodles and a light soup that was easy to drink. I found it unusual to have mochi in ramen, but it was delicious and I finished every last bite. I can understand why there are many comments praising their hospitality. Just by listening to the explanation of maze-soba given to the person next to me, I already feel like I have to try it next time. It was really delicious!

My favorite ramen shop in Nishiarai (although there are only about 3 ramen shops in total). The price went up, now it costs 1500 yen with menma topping. It's a bit harder to get to now. But I keep going because the staff's hospitality is good. #Ramen Kikyo and Sora #Nishiarai #Tokyo Ramen #Rich simmered fish broth ramen #Ramen #Want to connect with gourmet lovers #Adachi Ward Ramen

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, but because I commute by car, I hadn't been able to visit as they only accept BM. I had tried to visit once before, but gave up due to the long line. However, this time there was no line so I finally went. I ordered the special light soy sauce ramen (large size) for 1,350 yen. It arrived promptly with toppings such as green onions, two types of chashu (chicken and pork), mochi, and seasoned egg, all in generous portions. The soup was sharp yet flavorful. The noodles were thin but still had a wheaty taste and a nice chewy texture. The mochi was freshly made that day, sourced from a 5-star master rice supplier. Each ingredient was carefully selected, and the owner shared a lot of information with me. Not only was the ramen delicious, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was also great. I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

Special rich dried fish ramen for 1,300 yen. One piece of pork chashu included for free in the morning. Three pieces of chicken chashu included for free if you follow them on SNS. No waiting in line for the holiday opening at 10:30 am. There were 9 people waiting when they opened at 11 am. Got my bowl at 11:10 am. Very satisfying bowl. Finished every last drop and bite. Thank you for the meal.

Kikyo to Sora is a popular ramen shop in Nishi-Arai. It was established in April 2019, now entering its 5th year of operation. Located just a 2-minute walk from Nishi-Arai Station, on the right side of the alley opposite the curry restaurant "Oji Murugi", it often has lines even right after opening on weekends. The main menu items include:
- Kikyo Light Soy Sauce Ramen: 850 yen
- Sora Rich Sardine Broth Ramen: 900 yen
- Tsukemen (dipping noodles): 1000 yen
- Stamina Mazesoba: 950 yen
If you follow them on social media, you can get free toppings, which the staff will confirm when you purchase your meal ticket. The cozy interior has only 8 counter seats, with a kitchen staff of 3 and 2 serving staff. The Kikyo Light Soy Sauce Ramen includes low-temperature cooked pork and chicken chashu, a seasoned egg as part of the social media service, seaweed, and a generous amount of green onions and shiso leaves on top. The soup is a clear soy sauce broth with a strong umami flavor and a good amount of oil. The noodles are thin and curly, with a nice chewy texture. The chashu slices are thin and made from pork shoulder and chicken breast, both cooked at a low temperature. The two small mochi balls on top go well with the rich soy sauce soup. Overall, the ramen has a standard fish sauce base but with some unique twists. The staff's hospitality is excellent, making it a great spot for families and elderly customers alike.

On a regular weekday just before noon, there was a line of 4 people outside. It took about 10 minutes until the ramen was served, showing that the turnover is fast. I ordered the Kikyo light soy sauce ramen with flavored egg for ¥950. The soup was described as light, but it was a bit rich. It had a light initial taste, followed by sweetness, rich soy sauce flavor, seafood aroma, and umami. The noodles were well-coated and delicious. However, the thinly sliced fluffy leeks and the smell of the trefoil were a bit overwhelming. There were two types of chashu, pork, and chicken, both of which were excellent. The flavored egg was unnecessary. The rice cake was soft, bite-sized, and tasty when dipped in the soup. It would have been better with fewer vegetables to avoid interfering with the soup. If I have the chance, I would like to try the clear soup ramen next time. Thank you for the meal.

Follow on SNS for a free extra topping forever, and order with less noodles for an extra free topping. I didn't have much of an impression the first time I went, but this time, as someone with a big appetite, I ordered the special rich dried fish ramen! I added toppings of aromatic vegetables and seaweed. Last time I had the regular ramen, so it looked plain and I wasn't sure... but this time, going with the special was the right choice! The refreshing aromatic vegetables paired well with the rich dried fish soup. The noodles were on the firmer side. I'm curious about the light soy sauce version, but I just can't help but choose the dried fish one. The lemon kosho on the table also made for a delicious flavor change.

On Sunday around 11:30, near the station. It is located along a narrow road, with about 5 groups already lined up. I waited for about 20 minutes and was able to enter. The menu is roughly divided into 2 types: Kikyo - light soy sauce, and Sora - rich dried fish. I preferred the Kikyo as it was light. If you follow their Instagram or Twitter, you can get free toppings. The Kikyo was a light soy sauce ramen. It had two small rice cakes in it, which I initially thought was strange, but surprisingly delicious. They also give out free aprons and hair ties, and provide self-service hot tea for customers waiting outside, which was nice. The staff was energetic and provided good service. It was delicious!
