I found this place near Daikanyama Station while looking for a nice café to enjoy some carrot cake. It's the flagship shop of Bar Mikura, located underground as a café where you can enjoy dishes and sweets cooked using Bar Mikura products. I was excited to find out they serve carrot cake here. The interior is clean and spacious, with an open and inviting atmosphere. I chose a seat first, then placed my order and paid at the counter. The cake set was a steal at 880 yen. Although I was tempted by the Basque Cheesecake, I ultimately went for the carrot cake, paired with Bar Mikura's original blend coffee. The cake had a moist and crumbly texture with just the right amount of sweetness. The subtle spiciness was delightful, and the generous amount of raisins and nuts added a nice touch. The cream cheese frosting, slightly on the sweeter side, with a hint of orange peel, was a great accent. I also loved how the frosting was layered between the cake layers. The fresh fruity sweetness added various flavors and textures to enjoy. This dessert has a strong sweet taste, making it suitable for carrot cake beginners. The presence of Bar Mikura products displayed in the café created a unique and enjoyable atmosphere. I found myself staying longer than expected due to the cozy ambiance. The shop completely changed my image of Basque cheesecake. I always thought Basque cheesecake was very rich and heavy with a strong cheese flavor, making it quite overwhelming to eat a whole piece. But the cheesecake here is totally different. I ordered Basque cheesecake, stone oven pudding, Earl Grey tea (hot), and iced latte. The Basque cheesecake is lightly sweet and refreshing, with no typical cheese smell. Even those who don't like Basque cheesecake can enjoy it. The stone oven pudding is more similar to milk pudding than egg pudding, with a firm and elastic texture, not too sweet and with a not too bitter caramel. The shop also sells delicious deli items, such as spicy and cashew nuts sautéed, which I personally enjoyed. The shop is located about a 7-minute walk from Daikanyama, next to the Roof Museum. I had imagined pumpkin pudding to have a rough texture, but this one was super smooth. The caramel on top was pleasantly bitter and rich, with a nice balance of sweetness. It felt like eating pumpkin directly. I loved it and wanted seconds. - Fondant Chocolat was not too sweet, similar to milk chocolate. It got a bit heavy towards the end, so those with a sweet tooth should be fine. The crispy surface was delightful! The soft and moist cake with gooey chocolate, sweet-sour berry sauce, and sweet vanilla ice cream. Sweet tooth satisfaction level: want more.

Bamixcula's experiential shop with a restaurant located underground. It offers deli dishes cooked using Bamixcula products. MAIN & DELI SET 1,680 yen ~ Includes freshly cooked rice pot onigiri, Bamixcula's main dish, and two side dishes. 1 onigiri, 1 main dish, 2 side dishes, and soup for 1,680 yen. Hmm, it's expensive! The customers are mostly women. The restaurant has a clean and stylish atmosphere, offering a trendy and casual deli lunch experience.

Located near Daikanyama Station, the café attached to VERMICULAR along the old Yamate Street is spacious and not crowded, making it a hidden gem. The interior is lined with VERMICULAR pots and cookware, as well as food-related books, making it enjoyable just to browse. You order and pay at the counter, then wait at your chosen seat for the staff to bring your order. The café has one sofa seat and 6 high stools. The menu includes coffee, tea, juice, and baked sweets, though the selection is not extensive. I ordered the house blend coffee for ¥378 and a White Chocolate and Macadamia Cookie baked in a small cocotte for ¥216. The coffee had a slight acidity, and the cookie was moist with a nice accent from the macadamia nuts and a gentle sweetness from the white chocolate, which I enjoyed. Occasionally, there are cooking demonstrations using VERMICULAR products in the store, filling the air with a delicious aroma. Downstairs, there is a deli restaurant offering various menu items. Prices include tax.

I arrived at the restaurant at 1:00 PM. The exterior and interior of the restaurant were both lovely. They also sell dishes and ingredients that are eye-catching. I ordered Set A for 1300 yen, which included two onigiri, three cold dishes, miso soup, and roasted green tea. Everything was delicious. The onigiri had different prices depending on the type, which made most of them more expensive than expected, but I didn't mind because they were tasty. However, it was a bit tough waiting outside under the strong sun and high temperature until my name was called. There were a few chairs outside for people waiting in line, but they were soaked from the previous day's rain and hadn't been wiped dry. I wondered if they didn't clean outside at all. I thought it was important to clean the chairs in the morning for customers waiting outside. I used to work at a cafe, and even then, we made sure to wipe down the chairs for waiting customers. It's a basic courtesy. I believe that many restaurants in Tokyo lack consideration for customers and are not good at guiding them. It's a shame. However, the food was really delicious. Despite the issues mentioned earlier, I deducted one star and gave it four stars.

Located near the Daikanyama Tsutaya, this is the flagship store of Vermicular. The 1st floor is a retail store, while the B1 floor is a restaurant where you can enjoy dishes cooked using Vermicular products. I visited on a Sunday at 11:30 am and was able to be seated right away, but there was a line forming shortly after, so an early visit seems ideal. The menu offers various options around 1500 yen each, where you can choose the type and quantity of rice, cold dishes, and hot dishes. Almost everything is cooked using Vermicular, adding a special touch to each dish. The standout is definitely the rice, which you can choose between white rice or rice balls. The rice was delicious with each grain standing out. The side dishes, both cold and hot, are well-prepared as well. While it wasn't mind-blowing, it is a solid and tasty dining option. However, the prices seem a bit high for the quality offered. Considering the location, it may be justified, but still on the expensive side. The staff's service is efficient but can come off as rushed, with the constant loud announcements and somewhat pushy attitude to accommodate the incoming customers. It would be nice to have a more relaxed and friendly service. The quick turnover of customers leads to a rushed dining experience, taking away from the relaxed atmosphere one would hope for.
