I love hamburgers so much that I had them two days in a row, even for dinner yesterday, so here is my third consecutive post about hamburgers (^^;;. I had planned to go to my usual beef tongue restaurant when I arrived in Ebisu, but I ended up finding a hamburger place instead. The staff was very friendly when I asked about their opening hours, so I decided to go there earlier than planned. At the entrance, there was a self-service station with eggs and water - it felt a bit strange. For lunch, I had a choice between the "Super Arabiki Hamburger Curry" and the "Super Arabiki Hamburger Set." Since it was my first time there, the staff recommended the Super Arabiki Hamburger Set (1600 yen). The rice was free for one refill, and each hamburger was served freshly cooked one by one. It was a new experience for me to have hamburgers served individually like that. There were condiments on the table for flavoring: homemade lemon salt, grated daikon radish with ponzu sauce, and truffle olive oil with salt. As soon as I ordered, the rice was served, and the hamburgers arrived immediately! The staff was constantly grilling hamburgers on the grill. The first hamburger was served without any condiments. It had a strong herb flavor, making it a bit difficult to taste the meat. The saltiness was just right even without any condiments. The cooking was perfect, with a rare center but without the juices leaking out. I liked this style. As soon as I finished the first one, the second one arrived. The timing was perfect! This one was dripping with juices a bit. I guess that's why they use a wire mesh like for tonkatsu. I decided to enjoy the condiments this time. First, I tried the lemon salt. It paired well with the herb flavor and was very delicious. This was my favorite among the three condiments. The lemon flavor was strong, which I liked because I usually find lemon juice to be lacking. I wish they sold this lemon salt! Next, I tried the grated daikon radish with ponzu sauce. It seemed to be the most popular condiment since it was all gone from the table. The staff quickly brought a new one for me to try. Hmm, the ponzu sauce was overshadowed by the herb flavor. I felt like the hamburger was ignoring the ponzu sauce. Lastly, I tried the truffle olive oil with salt. I was worried that the truffle would be overpowered by the herbs, but it was a nice combination! The truffle and herbs went well together. I quite liked it. However, since I was recommended the lemon salt, I went back to using that (lol). The third hamburger arrived, perfectly cooked just like the first one. It was delicious, but I was starting to get full. Oh, I forgot about the egg! I dipped the hamburger in the egg and tried it. Hmm, I prefer it without the egg, so I decided to have the egg with rice. It was a nice break and went well with the meal! I probably had around 100g hamburgers, three in total. It was quite filling, so I recommend bringing someone who eats a lot if you have a small appetite (^◇^;). Personally, I'm not a fan of strong herb flavors in hamburgers. Also, the restroom was a bit dirty, maybe because of the previous user, but it was a bit of a turn off. The restaurant was new and overall clean, with an atmosphere that would be welcoming for solo female diners. Thank you for the meal.
