Due to the Sumidagawa fireworks, Nakano is empty. White liver sashimi for 780 yen, green onions for 120 yen, garlic for 120 yen, gatsupon for 380 yen, bottled beer for 750 yen, Nakano-ya highball for 500 yen (white shochu + soda + lemon). It's calm and cool at the counter.

The staff were cheerful and it was heartwarming to see them serve customers with a smile. The super spicy tripe stew seems like a dish for those who can handle extreme spiciness. It was delicious but so spicy that it made my fingertips numb. The fruit liquor on the rocks was refreshing but the sour option seemed more cost-effective. The grilled chicken with green onions was delicious! The half-cooked chicken with green onions made me want to have a plate all to myself. They had skewers like grilled Atka mackerel but they were sold out. The chicken breast is half-cooked and comes in a large portion, and you can choose the flavor, so I recommend it. There were many baseball cards, women's wrestling posters, and other decorations on the walls, which made me wonder if this is what Nakano is like. Thank you for the meal.

Visited as the second bar around 6 pm on a Sunday. There were so many bars on this street that it was hard to decide, but then I saw a cute little outdoor space and decided, "Let's go here!" It felt like our own private terrace, which was exciting. We ordered "ginkgo nut skewers," "motsu stew," "assorted skewers," "changja," "cucumber with miso," and "avocado sashimi." The motsu stew was rich and delicious, perfect for drinking. The skewers were also tasty. This place offers both food and drinks at really cheap prices! It's like the realm of super bargains! I've always been weak to the word "original." If it's the original, then it must be the best, even without any evidence. The name of this place includes "original," and since it's in Nakano, I had assumed it must be the best in Nakano. Some may argue that just being the original doesn't guarantee quality, but I've never drawn the short straw with "original" and will continue to use it as a criterion for my choices. Original!

I think I have visited about 3 times. The cost performance is good! The grilled dishes seem to take some time, but it's not a problem if you know that. The restaurant has a small number of seats, but the turnover rate seems to be good. There also seem to be many regular customers.

After finishing work at a construction site in Nakano, I wandered around the alley near the north exit. I was intrigued by the menu item "nama tsukune" and decided to try it out. Serving raw tsukune must mean they have a lot of confidence in their chicken meat. I ordered the raw tsukune and a few skewers of yakitori. The raw tsukune looked like it might not have much flavor, but once I tasted it, the sauce mixed in nicely and it was delicious! And the chicken liver sashimi was also delicious - it had been a while since I had such good chicken liver sashimi. Nakano has a lot of reasonably priced delicious restaurants, I'm envious! (Working in Aoyama / Living in the northern part of Kawasaki City)

It was a yakitori restaurant that I entered because I pass by often, and it turned out to be an izakaya specializing in items like tsukune and liver sashimi. They had unique items like raw tsukune, but I decided to skip the liver sashimi because it looked too rare. I apologize for not finishing it! Instead, I enjoyed the cheese skewers and other delicious dishes. The drink service was quick, and the staff were friendly, so my initial impression of the place was correct. However, the rarity of the dishes was more than I expected, so I couldn't finish them. I'm very sorry about that.

On October 1st, 2021 (Friday), I went out for drinks with a friend after the emergency declaration was lifted. We arrived late, so many items were sold out, but we ordered what was available. We started with a bottle of beer to share with my friend. We also ordered chilled tomatoes, which were served quickly and refreshing. I think we also ordered skewered gizzard, which was crispy and delicious. Next, we had a plate of 5 different types of yakitori, all of which were tender and tasty. We added a Ramune sour, and ended with the famous tsukune. It was definitely worth ordering, despite being a bit pricey. We left the restaurant feeling pleasantly tipsy. I've been slacking off on exploring new places recently, so I decided to wander around the streets of Nakano! I ordered motsu-ni, hatsumoto, and chicken skin, and enjoyed them with a glass of beer. The hatsumoto was a bit oily. The motsu-ni was average. After a short wait, the chicken skin arrived and it was amazing! The chicken sashimi and tsukune were decent. I ended the meal by pouring the motsu-ni over rice and enjoying it with fried chicken. Thank you for the meal.

When you exit the north exit of Nakano Station and walk a little into Sun Road, you will find a traditional drinking alley. There are many narrow alleys with numerous drinking establishments lined up. The atmosphere is lively with people drinking during the day. I sat at the counter and started with a draft beer. The cold beer was delicious after walking in the heat. The interior of the restaurant has a fun atmosphere, like a popular local bar. I ordered two skewers of yakitori. The rich flavor of the yakitori was delicious. I switched to Hoppy after finishing my beer. Hoppy with a little alcohol content and shochu. Even though you don't need much shochu with Hoppy, the strong flavor of the shochu is still delicious. I had two more glasses of Hoppy. I enjoyed the yakitori while sipping on my drinks. It's a pretty tasty place, but since it's still daytime, I'll stop here. The prices are reasonable, and I'd like to come back again.

I am the baseball king Saito! I devote my life to pitching, gourmet food, and alcohol! I had a blast in Nakano and decided to conquer a place called Nakano-ya. It was truly THE bar, small but had everything you need. The yakitori was good, with a wild flavor that meat lovers would enjoy! The quail was a must-try, with a great texture. The ham katsu was also delicious, with a nice contrast of flavors. The pork belly ponzu was my favorite, with a perfect balance of fat and acidity. It paired well with hoppy beer. The intense deliciousness gave me a shock like throwing a 150 km/h pitch! Truly impressive, as expected from a place with Nakano in its name! I was even impressed! See you again!

On a day before the declaration of a state of emergency, I couldn't get into a certain popular Japanese restaurant, so I came here to kill time. I was seated at a table and ordered liver, cartilage, and chicken tenderloin with plum flavor. The cartilage and liver were delicious, but considering they cost 120 yen per skewer, the portion size was a bit small. The chicken tenderloin, priced at 250 yen, was the largest I've ever had among all the chicken tenderloin skewers I've tried. Just adding some tube-shaped plum paste made it really tasty. The fried horse mackerel was a bit small for 300 yen, but when I added some soy sauce and savored it carefully, it was delightful. I also had a bottled beer to drink quickly before heading to the main restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a restaurant in Nakano during the state of emergency. Luckily, there was a table available along the road. The customers seemed to be mostly regulars. The yakitori they were carefully cooking looked delicious. The menu had a variety of options such as yakitori, liver sashimi, simmered dishes, etc., making it hard to choose. We had cabbage, white liver sashimi, local chicken sashimi, raw tsukune, shirokoro hormone, and a mixed yakitori platter. The raw tsukune was exactly as the name suggests, and it might be a taste some people enjoy. The white liver sashimi was cooked just right and went well with alcohol. The yakitori was cooked carefully and tasted really good. When we ordered the shirokoro hormone, we were asked if it was okay because it would take about 50 minutes. We said yes. Even though it didn't seem like they were spending that much time cooking it when we looked inside the counter, I wonder why it took so long. The taste was not bad, just average. After having various drinks and all that food for one person, it cost around 3500 yen, which was reasonable. If I lived nearby, I would want to go back to this place multiple times.

In the evening, I was looking for a place to have a light drink, but many stores were closed due to the state of emergency. However, I found a small restaurant that was open until 8pm, so I decided to visit to show my support. I ordered the fresh minced chicken skewers and grilled chicken thigh, both made with chicken from Nichinan. The minced chicken skewers had a rich flavor and freshness that exceeded my expectations. The grilled chicken thigh had a firm texture and a deep, natural flavor that you can't get from a broiler. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, with only the manager running the place, but I hope they can continue to maintain this quality and keep going strong in this situation.

Visited with 3 people around 5 pm on a Saturday. The restaurant seemed almost full, possibly due to COVID-19 measures like spacing out tables. Luckily, we were able to snag a table outside after a group of 4 left. We ordered a mixed plate of grilled chicken skewers and the recommended stewed tripe, which was delicious. The green onion char siu was also tasty. We didn't order much as we got caught up in conversation with a friend we hadn't seen in months. Personally, I would like to try more dishes at this place. Nakano has many unique restaurants that make it a fun area to explore.

Today, I reunited with a senior colleague who had left the workplace about a year ago! We decided to meet in Nakano for drinks, and had about an hour and a half until our meeting time... The place had a small counter with 6 seats and 2 small tables. Without looking at the menu too much, I ordered what I had in mind! - Liver sashimi - Sapporo Draft Beer Black Label (450 yen) Apparently, the availability of liver sashimi depends on the stock... The menu mainly features "local chicken" dishes! From chicken sashimi to tataki, yukhoe, yakitori, the variety of dishes is rich! There are also fish dishes, side dishes, and fried foods available! The liver sashimi had no odor, was firm and creamy... It was delicious! I enjoyed it dipped in soy sauce & ginger, or sesame oil & salt... I preferred the latter! I dipped the liver generously and took a bite, followed by a sip of beer! Ahh, what a blissful moment... I'm glad to be alive... I can do my best again... As I enjoyed my drinks, I decided to treat myself (for what reason, I wonder?) to another refill! - Refill of draft beer (400 yen) There was a discount of 50 yen if you used the same glass! It was still early, and I noticed that they were energetically trying to attract passersby, but I couldn't stay... It made me realize that all bars and restaurants are struggling due to the impact of the pandemic...

I was brought here by a friend. It's been a while since I've been to a yakitori restaurant. My friend is a regular here, so we left the ordering up to them. Everything was delicious, but the most impressive dish was the chicken tenderloin. I'm not a big fan of protein-rich foods like tenderloin, and I don't usually eat it, but it was incredibly tender and delicious when half-cooked. A must-try dish when you come here.

I enjoyed my Hoppy while waiting for the skewers to be cooked. The food was decent, and the place seemed to have a lot of regular customers. I visited this place at the north exit of Nakano Station. The background music is from Nippon Broadcasting. I ordered "nama" (raw liver), "chire" (small intestines), and "kashira" (head). The grilled dishes were served in about 5 minutes. The liver was tender and the oil sandwiched in between was delicious.
