When it gets chilly, everyone seems to crave hot pot. It's really crowded. I got some chicken sashimi, eel skewers, and steamed egg custard (which was really good) before diving into the hot pot. It was on the lighter side. The tofu was really delicious. Plenty of meat in there. The ponzu sauce was on the sweeter side. Overall, it was really good!

The yellowtail sashimi served as part of the weekly lunch menu exceeded my expectations in terms of quality. The combination of yellowtail with the sweet soy sauce was outstanding, and being able to enjoy this level of cuisine for 1,200 yen is wonderful. I even ended up following their Instagram because of how delicious it was. The price point of 1,200 yen is very reasonable, considering the quality, especially in the Ebisu area. The ambiance of the restaurant was also great, with high ceilings and a surrounding of lush plants making it a comfortable space. The service provided by the staff was polite and attentive, which I really appreciated. In terms of improvements, I felt that the miso soup and potato salad could use some refinement. Particularly, adding larger ingredients like cucumber or carrot to the potato salad to add more texture and flavor variation. Also, the daikon radish garnish for the sashimi was too long, making it difficult to eat. Overall, the combination of quality food, price, service, and ambiance at this price point is excellent. However, there are some minor improvements needed in the side dishes and daikon garnish. If these are addressed, it would lead to even greater satisfaction. I look forward to returning and trying a different menu item next time.

The sauce was exquisite, not overpowering, enhancing the deliciousness. The visual presentation of this dish is also fantastic, making it worthy of being captured in a photo. It's hard to believe that this beauty is priced at 980 yen. In Ebisu, a parent-child bowl of this quality could easily be priced at 1500 yen without any issue. The balance between price and quality is truly remarkable at 980 yen. And you even get a complimentary hot coffee to take away (^-^) The freshly cooked rice is amazing! The freshly cooked rice really enhances the parent-child bowl. Each grain stands out, perfectly complementing the exquisite sauce. The quality of the rice is high, and that is also commendable. I look forward to revisiting next week after encountering such a satisfying dish. Overall, this parent-child bowl excels in appearance, taste, price, and overall satisfaction. I wish I had discovered it sooner. I plan to visit again next week. I hope it continues to meet my expectations.

I revisited after several years! This restaurant is located about a 5-minute walk from Ebisu Station. The interior has table seating and counter seating, creating a calm atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious chicken dishes. In my personal opinion, the chicken hot pot used to be richer and more delicious in the past. The atmosphere is great, making it a good spot for a date.

Lunch: Kinso Odori's Fried Chicken Set Meal ¥880 (including tax) Located about a 3-4 minute walk from Ebisu Station, "Bijin Dori" is a chicken restaurant known for its dishes such as Mizutaki and Yakitori. They use Chiba prefecture's brand chicken called "Kinso Odori" for their Mizutaki and Karaage, which can be enjoyed for lunch. I visited with a friend around 12:00 on a weekday. The lunch menu includes the following five options: - Seasonal vegetable and chicken oyakodon - Bijin Dori special Mizutaki set meal - Kinso Odori's fried chicken set meal (three pieces) - Chicken Nanban set meal - Weekly changing lunch (on this day, it was Kamaage Shirasu Don) Although I was tempted by the Mizutaki, I ended up ordering the "Kinso Odori's fried chicken set meal" as it was featured on Tabelog. The default is three pieces of fried chicken, but for some reason you can add one more piece, so I went for four pieces. I also requested the rice to be served in a larger portion for free. The dish arrived in about 15 minutes, but the fried chicken looked different from the image (refer to the first and second photos, the second one is borrowed from the official website). It was not fried chicken, just regular Karaage. The coating was thick and greasy, making it heavy. The grated ponzu sauce served with it might be to balance out the oiliness. The side dishes included shredded cabbage and miso soup. As for the rice, mine was normal, but my friend's rice was yellow and sticky, clearly not freshly cooked. They also offer free coffee to take away on your way out. The experience felt like a deception, similar to a beautiful woman scam, fitting for the name "Bijin Dori." Well, not funny.

I visited this restaurant that I had been curious about because I wanted to eat hot pot. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quiet and I was able to enjoy my meal in a calm setting. The chicken was tender and went perfectly with the ponzu sauce! The shiitake mushrooms were also thick and delicious! The price was a little high though..

I happened to pass by and noticed their lunch menu, which caught my interest. They offer water hot pot for lunch at a reasonable price of 1,200 yen, and it's perfectly fine to dine alone. Since it was unexpectedly cold that day, it was a great opportunity to try their water hot pot. Besides the hot pot, they have other dishes on the menu, and many customers were ordering something other than the hot pot. The "Mikami Chicken Special Water Hot Pot Set" includes a small pot of hot pot, rice, pickles, and potato salad. The cloudy soup is not heavily seasoned, and you can adjust the flavor by adding salt. You can enjoy the soup as it is or dip the ingredients in ponzu sauce. The hot pot contains chicken, meatballs, and various vegetables. The slightly sweet flavor of the meatballs may be a bit unusual, but it's nice to have a good amount of vegetables. The pot is constantly kept warm with solid fuel, so it stays piping hot until the end. After finishing the ingredients, you can add the leftover rice to the pot and make a porridge, which is perfect for a cold day. I'll definitely visit again next winter.

I found a restaurant that serves chicken dishes. I went there alone after finding it on Tabelog. The atmosphere was calm, and there were quite a few solo diners. They had counter seats and table seats, and I was seated at a table. This time, I ordered the Chicken Nanban set meal (880 yen including tax). I got three fist-sized pieces of Chicken Nanban along with rice, miso soup, pickles, and a side dish for this price! It's so cheap...! The batter was very crispy, thin, and light, so it wasn't greasy. The meat was tender and chewy! The tartar sauce was rich, but it had a refreshing acidity to it. The other menu items were also attractive, and you can get an extra piece of fried chicken for free with the fried chicken set meal...! I want to try all the menu items at this wonderful restaurant!

This restaurant is usually busy, especially with a large number of people or on weekends, so it was lucky that I didn't need a reservation this time. The dishes I ordered were: chicken sukiyaki, somen noodles as a finishing touch, vegetable tempura, chicken skin with ponzu sauce, and a few others. The chicken sukiyaki was very flavorful with a gentle and delicious chicken broth. It had a generous amount of chicken and was very satisfying. I also enjoyed adding salt to the broth, which enhanced the flavor of the vegetables and chicken. For the finishing touch, I had somen noodles, which were thin and delicious. I forgot the name of the dish, so next time I will make sure to take a photo. Overall, they serve high-quality chicken dishes, so I highly recommend it! I usually use this place for lunch. The customers are mostly male office workers in suits. I arrived around 12:00 and was seated right away. The kitchen staff looked like skilled craftsmen, while the waitresses were young girls who seemed a bit nervous. They looked like high school students. I felt like I wanted to give them some guidance. I ordered the parent and child tempura bowl for 980 yen (I mistakenly thought it was a parent and child bowl, but let's keep that a secret). It was delicious! It was a generous portion and I left feeling full.

I visited Bishin Niwatori in Ebisu, recommended by a friend. The atmosphere was quite calm and adult-like, and the interior of the restaurant was very beautiful. I had heard that their Mizutaki (chicken hot pot) was delicious, so I ordered the Mizutaki course! It was really delicious (^ν^) The smooth texture and the strong flavor of the chicken broth were amazing! Adding a pinch of salt gave it a different taste experience!! The vegetables and dumplings were also flavorful and I enjoyed every bite until the end!

Visited around 21:00 ☺︎ on a weekday, the restaurant was full with one group waiting in line. It's about a 5-minute walk from Ebisu Station. The customers are mostly in their 20s and 30s, ranging from couples to groups of friends. The atmosphere is quite lively. ♥ We ordered 3 servings of Mizutaki (chicken hot pot), assorted yakitori, and a tomato-based salad. We were served chicken liver as a starter ( ˆᴗˆ ) The salad portion was small, but the yakitori assortment was quite generous for sharing among 3 people. Everything tasted delicious. We were recommended to try the ramen as a finale for the hot pot, and even though we were full, we managed to finish it easily (๑ˇεˇ๑) In the cold winter, nothing beats a hot pot ✧︎* The presentation of the hot pot was beautiful, making it perfect for photos too.

We visited the restaurant called Bikami Chicken for a New Year's party with 3 women. It had been a long time since we had sukiyaki, and this place did not disappoint. Although we usually prefer a la carte options at hot pot restaurants, they only offered set courses until the end of January, priced at around 6,000 yen per person. The portions were unexpectedly generous, and we ended up giving up on the rice porridge at the end. We also had warabi mochi for dessert, which I forgot to take a picture of. The course included ankimo, 3 appetizers, tuna sashimi, skewers, and tempura, but it was a bit hit or miss. The tempura was too oily and heavy, so we couldn't finish it. The chicken broth in the hot pot was delicious, but overall, I think going to places like Yawaragi Yasai or Nabezo would be more satisfying and cost-effective than this 6,000 yen course. I don't think I'll be coming back here. Thank you for the meal.

Everything was delicious! We had the course meal which was well-balanced and each dish was elegant. The sukiyaki was particularly gentle in flavor, easy to eat without any heaviness or overpowering smell of chicken. It was a refreshing meal that went well with alcohol. Great place!

We visited as a party of two. We arrived right when the restaurant opened, so there were no other customers and we were seated at the counter. The appetizers, nanbanzuke, and tempura were okay. The highlight was the sukiyaki, which was very delicious! It had a gentle flavor that was quite addictive. If I had to nitpick, the chicken pieces could have been a bit smaller. For dessert, we had the option of noodles or zosui, and we chose zosui, which was also very tasty. We left feeling full and satisfied, and in terms of cost performance, I think it was good. We ordered the course this time, but next time we will try ordering a la carte!

The restaurant "Bishin Chicken" used to not open for lunch, but now they have started lunchtime service. I visited the restaurant located near Ebisu Station, in front of Softbank on the way to Shibuya. The white curtain was hanging at the entrance. Inside, there were counter seats and booth seats like a typical izakaya. The restaurant was not crowded, and I was able to comfortably occupy a booth for four people by myself. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Set Meal (rice, side dish, chicken soup, pickles included) with a drink for 880 yen. They use the award-winning Chiba brand chicken "Kinso-dori" from the 2017 "Local Chicken, Brand Chicken Favorability Contest." Normally, you get three pieces of chicken, but here they give you an extra piece for free! I thought the free chicken might be small, but it turned out to be quite substantial. I ended up taking the extra piece home. The side dish and miso soup were also included. The rice portion was generous, and you could get free refills. This restaurant is known for its dedication to chicken, with a super rich broth for their water-based hot pot. They meticulously crack open each chicken bone by hand, washing away any attached organs or dirt with running water to fully extract the flavor and essence. Intrigued by this, I went with a friend who loves chicken. The chicken and the hot pot broth were delicious, but the cold and hot dishes, all centered around chicken, were equally tasty with their respective dressings and ponzu sauce. The Nishoso Torisashi, a specialty of the restaurant, was incredibly delicious. The porridge served as the finishing touch for the hot pot was also delicious, but the Nishoso Tori oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl) was outstanding.
