It was around 3:30 pm on the weekend when I visited. When I arrived at the top floor of the Asahi Beer building, there were 8 groups ahead of me in line. I signed my name on the list and waited for about 15 minutes before being called to place my order at the entrance. The interior of the shop mainly consists of seats facing the windows, and the space is surprisingly small. There were solo customers and foreigners as well. The slightly pricey beer arrived in about 5 minutes. While there were no unusual beer options, the beer was clear and free of any off-flavors, thanks to the clean beer taps. They also offer soft drinks, whiskey, and cocktails, allowing you to enjoy your drink of choice without any appetizers, while taking in the view. Be cautious when choosing your seat as the direct sunlight can be strong!

Around 1:30 pm, it was crowded. There were many foreign tourists, so I had to wait for about 30 minutes. I ordered a 400ml Asahi Super Dry for 680 yen. The observation lounge is not very spacious, but every seat is close to the window, so the view is excellent. Since I was there, I decided to order a beer, but I still find beer to be bitter, so I drank it for the atmosphere. The counter seats by the window offer a panoramic view of Asakusa and Skytree, and on a clear day, you could even see Mount Fuji. The scenery was amazing, thank you for the meal!

When I was strolling around Asakusa with my children, I suddenly remembered this "Observation Lounge" and decided to visit. It was around 2 pm, and the place was bustling with foreign customers, as it seems to be featured in foreign guidebooks. We had to write our names outside the shop and wait a bit before entering. The location overlooking the Sumida River was impressive, and I was amazed by the deliciousness of the draft beer. I consider myself a beer lover and drink a lot, but I had never thought beer could taste this good... Personally, I recommend the black draft beer. It's no surprise that it's located within the Asahi Beer headquarters. Thank you for the meal. I'm really glad I came here.

The view is not as great as from the Skytree, but it's still enjoyable as it's on the 22nd floor. You can see the Skytree up close, which is a plus. And until the end of August, you can get half-priced Super Dry no matter how many you drink! The hygiene is well maintained as it's a directly managed store, and the beer is delicious. On Saturday nights, I recommend it as you can see fireworks from Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, and Ibaraki all at once. It was truly moving to see six fireworks displays at the same time, with the fireworks from Ichikawa City being the highlight. I suggest arriving before 7 pm as it gets crowded after 7:30 pm. You should definitely check it out now!

Located a 3-4 minute walk from Asakusa Station, in the Asahi Beer headquarters building across the river, is a cafe/lounge of sorts. I visited on a Saturday afternoon. Take the elevator to the 21st floor, then the escalator to the 22nd floor. The building doesn't feel like a headquarters at all. The elevator feels more like one in a department store. First, pay at the counter before entering and finding a seat. The interior is quite simple, like a chain cafe, with somewhat narrow seating. I had an orange juice for 500 yen. It seems all the drinks are Asahi products. Many people were drinking Asahi beer. The window seats are all counter seats, and being on the 22nd floor, the view is great. You can see well to the west and north, with a good view of the Sumida River and Asakusa. It would be amazing to watch the Sumida River Fireworks Festival from here, between the first and second launch spots.

GW, everywhere is crowded and there are long lines, especially at restaurants, it's hard to find a place to eat. After lunch, crossing the Sumida River, the first building that catches your eye. The beer restaurant on the first floor said, "We don't know how long the wait will be," so we came to our restaurant in a separate building, but still had to wait. However, surprisingly, the turnover was good, and we were seated in about 30 minutes. You order and pay in advance before sitting down. ◼︎ Maruef Black Beer ◼︎ Sumida River Brewing Pale Ale I was curious about Maruef because I don't often encounter black beer. It has a coffee-like bitterness and richness. Delicious♪ The Pale Ale has a refreshing citrus taste. This one was more suited for the first drink haha. The view of the Skytree and the Sumida River through the window. The view is also a treat.

I am inside a beer jug, specifically in the fluffy foam at the top of the jug. Despite being labeled as an observation lounge, I am actually in the Asahi Beer headquarters building. The building itself resembles a beer jug filled to the brim with beer. The glass windows are golden like beer, and the foam of the jug corresponds to the protruding windows on the 21st and 22nd floors, with the 22nd floor being the observation lounge. The entire space of the headquarters building can hold the equivalent of 200 million bottles of beer. It seems that the size of beer jugs varies from store to store, as recognized by the main company. Asakusa is bustling on weekends, but surprisingly, it is relatively easy to access this place without much crowd, and the view is great with a clear sight of Senso-ji Temple. Being the headquarters of Asahi Beer, the beer here is delicious and highly recommended. When encountering the crowded Asakusa, remember this place. Additionally, there is another hidden observation spot at the top floor (8th floor) of the Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center designed by architect Kengo Kuma. It is a free observation terrace right in front of Kaminarimon Gate. Here is the menu and some information:
- Large beer jug (630cc) for 980 yen
- Smoked cheese for 500 yen
- Vegetable fritters for 580 yen
- No cover charge
- Seating is first-come, first-served
- Credit cards not accepted, but QR code payment is available.
- The Asahi Beer headquarters building was sold during the bubble period due to poor performance but later repurchased after the success of Super Dry (decided by former president Hirota Higuchi, who was from Sumitomo Bank).
Thank you.

A hidden gem? Who would have thought you could drink Asahi beer on the floor above the Asahi Beer headquarters! I ordered Asahi Super Dry 634ml, EX Gold Potato Fry, Cheese Pizza, and Sausage. The space is small so it's not suitable for large groups, but it's perfect for a few people.

Father and I, who came from Shikoku (so we're considered "upstairs guests" as well...), took a walk in the rain in Ueno and Asakusa. We visited the observation café above the Asahi headquarters next to the golden poop near Azuma Bridge. Father mentioned that he had been there before, and wanted to revisit because you can see all of Tokyo from there.
- Ice Cafe Au Lait ¥500
It was all foggy and cloudy... couldn't see a thing! The cafe au lait was very standard. Considering the location, the price wasn't too high. It would be nice if it was clear. Thanks for the meal!

On my second visit on January 4th, Asakusa's streets are still bustling with activity. Every shop is crowded and always full, making it hectic. I wanted to have a quiet drink in the daytime and remembered this place. There were only 3 groups of customers inside, so it was comfortable! I enjoyed a Super Dry beer and hot, crispy potato fries while gazing at Sensoji Temple and the Sumida River. All of this for 1150 yen. What a blissful experience. Why is this place always empty when it's so comfortable? This will give me the energy to do my best on my first day of work tomorrow. By the way, both UQ and Docomo have good reception here, but Rakuten Mobile is almost out of range. Hang in there, Rakuten Mobile!

Visited on Sunday afternoon. We were seated immediately, but the restaurant was full, indicating its popularity. Located on the upper floors of the Asahi Beer headquarters, this hidden gem offers a casual dining experience with a great view of Tokyo and the Skytree. They have several types of craft beers available. The craft beer from Sumida River Brewing is easy to drink and incredibly delicious.

The beer enjoyed while looking directly at the Skytree, with the Sumida River and Asakusa Temple below, is exceptional. The food options are somewhat limited, but perfect for a quick drink during sightseeing. I want to come here frequently for a change of pace. The potato fries are the greasy kind that I like. Plus, on a Saturday afternoon, there were only two other customers, making it a super hidden gem that I highly recommend. I will definitely come back!

This is a restaurant located at the Asahi Beer headquarters. In my opinion, it is a hidden gem among hidden gems. You can overlook Tokyo and get a free drink. Since it is managed by Asahi Beer, the beer is delicious! You can also see the Skytree and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. It is perfect for taking a break during a tour of downtown Tokyo. #A spot that Tokyo locals surprisingly don't know about✌️

Hidden gem spot on the top floor of Asahi Beer headquarters. The top floor of the building where Asahi Beer employees normally work has been transformed into a bar lounge open to the public, making it a hidden gem. Take the elevator up to the 21st floor, then use the escalator to reach the 22nd floor. Order at the counter, receive a number tag, and a staff member will bring your order to you. The drink menu includes Extra Cold beer, black beer, glass of wine, Nikka whiskey, sours, cocktails, and soft drinks. While the food selection is limited, they offer items like fried chicken, nuts & cheese, edamame, mixed pizza, cakes, and vanilla ice cream. Order the Mega Jockey beer and nuts & cheese for a picture-perfect moment. Due to COVID-19, seating is spaced out with one seat left empty between guests. Initially seated in the middle without a view of the night skyline, we were able to move to a better spot after a group left in about 20 minutes. Enjoy a view of the Sumida River, Skytree, and the Tobu Skytree Line from 100 meters above ground. The beer is perfectly poured with a fine foam and excellent balance, a true reflection of Asahi Beer's quality. With reasonable prices and high value, this place offers a satisfying experience. Although I hesitate to share this hidden gem, it's perfect for a date or any special occasion.

I went to Asakusa for the first time in a while... First, I visited this place that I had wanted to go to for a long time. It's a shop on the top floor of the Asahi Beer Tower, a landmark on the Sumida River Riverside. You can relax with the views of Tokyo Sky Tree, Asakusa, and the surrounding area. However, the inside of the shop feels like a cheap cafe. I ordered an "Extra Gold" for 650 yen and a "Black Extra Gold". It's definitely the original shop, the foam is very fine and delicious! The food is pre-made... It's a shop that you should try at least once.

I visited the Asahi Sky Room at the Asahi Beer headquarters on the 22nd floor. It's a very stylish lounge. Cheers with an Extra Cold beer! I'll enjoy the view of the Skytree while drinking. It must be beautiful at night. The weather was disappointing though. I had a platter of three assorted appetizers and spicy potatoes, but the appetizers are a bit pricey. Well, it's the cost of the location, right? Most of the customers were inbound tourists, and I was impressed by the girl working there who spoke fluent English. I had a Super Dry for my second drink and that's it! Thank you for the meal!

I came to the Sumida Ward office and quickly took care of my business. As I stepped outside, I saw the golden Asahi building in front of me. I decided to take a break on the top floor where there is a sky lounge. However, I could only go up to the 21st floor in the elevator, so I had to take the escalator to the sky lounge. The sky lounge is a cafe with a view named after Asahi Beer. I ordered a Mitsuya Cider and enjoyed the view of the Sumida River with some lingering cherry blossoms. The atmosphere was filled with foreign tourists, especially from Europe and America. The cider arrived in a slim glass and I enjoyed its taste, which has been around since before the war. As I looked down at Asakusa, I felt the taste of peace.

After enjoying cherry blossom viewing in Asakusa, I stopped by this cafe. I pre-paid 500 yen for a cafe latte. The popular seats are by the window with a good view. People quickly move to those seats when they become available, so start off at a different seat. Once a window seat opens up, people swiftly move to it. Sitting by the window, you can feel like a king looking down on the world below. It's so nice and relaxing. Most of the customers are from Europe or America, maybe because it's mentioned in their guidebooks. I think this place is a hidden gem.

If you come to Asakusa and want to have tea, this is the place to go! Well, it's more like beer here though, haha. It was just starting to get dark in the evening, creating a nice atmosphere. Luckily, there was a table available right in front of the Skytree, so we decided to sit there. We ordered the Sumida River Brewing beer in a big glass! And some fried potatoes too. The view was great, so the beer went down smoothly. There were lots of kids and families around, it felt like we accidentally took a couple's spot. The Skytree was starting to light up, but we couldn't wait until the full light-up at 5:30 pm. It was still enjoyable though! As soon as we left, our table was quickly taken, but if you come to Asakusa, this place is highly recommended! Thank you for the meal!

After a drinking party, I came here because I hadn't had enough to drink. This place is located on the top floor of the Asahi Beer headquarters. It doesn't offer a panoramic view of Tokyo, but the scenery is enjoyable enough. In this sky room, you order and pay at the counter near the entrance, then choose any available seat and the staff will bring your order to your table. On this day, there were four pairs of guests before us. Come to think of it, this place is where my partner and I came for our second date. We have been coming here occasionally for years now, and it always has a moderate number of customers, allowing us to relax, enjoy the view, and unwind. It feels like a "hidden gem for dates." I would like to use it again for a little drink. Thank you for the meal! 🍻
