The oysters here in Tokyo are surprisingly delicious, with no fishy or unpleasant taste. I used to not like oysters, but the ones here are easy to eat. I added rice at the end to make oyster porridge, which was even more delicious.

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday around 8 pm, and it was empty! They offer service oysters for 300 yen each. They were really small but tasted good. Personally, I thought the sweet shrimp namero was really delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes of the snacks.

Oyster and shrimp shabu-shabu with Chinese noodles as a finishing touch, sea urchin sashimi, corn tempura, bonito tataki, cucumber with miso, and shrimp and vegetable salad as appetizers. The oyster and shrimp shabu-shabu was a first-time experience for me. You could choose from different types of broth, and this time I chose kombu broth and tom yum soup. The tom yum soup went really well with the shrimp. After finishing the shrimp, you could put the shrimp heads in the soup to extract more flavor, but there were so many shrimp that it might overflow if you put them all in. The shrimp was cooked just right, tender and delicious. The oysters were shabu-shabu in kombu broth and eaten with ponzu sauce, they were big and satisfying to eat. To finish off, I ordered Chinese noodles. Overall, the food was delicious, especially the cucumber with miso was crunchy and sweet, and I couldn't stop eating it!

I finally had the gout hot pot that I've been wanting to try for a long time. I enjoyed the classic gout hot pot course. The jumbo shrimp sashimi and extra-large fresh oysters were so plump and delicious. In addition to the course, I also ordered the first bonito tataki, which went well with soy sauce and salt. The main gout hot pot was overwhelming in appearance, but surprisingly filled with plenty of vegetables and was not as heavy as expected. I ended up finishing it all the way to the end. ========== * Gout Hot Pot Course - ¥6,050 - Firefly squid sashimi - Cucumber tataki - Shrimp sashimi - Extra-large fresh oysters - Gout hot pot (finishing with Chinese noodles) * First Bonito Tataki - ¥880 * Alcohol - ¥17,435 ========== I ate to my heart's content. Thank you for the meal.

I finally visited the Gout Nabe restaurant that had been on my mind for a while. When I arrived about 10 minutes early, I was told that I couldn't enter until the reserved time. It's a small shop, so I understood. I waited and arrived right on time. After giving my name and waiting, two guys arrived after me and were immediately seated. I wish they had explained that seating might not be in order. We had to wait 5 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. The counter was a bit dirty, but it's a hotpot place so I tried to overlook it. We opted for the all-you-can-drink option, which was a good deal. The course we reserved was different due to supply issues, but overall the food was delicious. It might be worth going with the mindset of just experiencing something new. Thank you for the meal!

"Kairi" in Ebisu is famous for its gout hot pot. The side dishes were not outstanding, but the miso-based gout hot pot with monkfish and shirako melted into the soup, creating a delicious and flavorful broth. The finishing ochazuke was also delicious. I have been craving for an oyster hot pot with plenty of oysters since last year, and finally found one and made a reservation. It was a course meal, so I just had to wait for the dishes to come out. Before the oyster hot pot arrived, the shrimp senbei and two kinds of shrimp that came out were delicious. Also, the raw oysters served individually were huge! I would want to eat this even if it's not part of the course. The miso paste on the cucumber was surprisingly tasty. I even had the porridge and left feeling full!

I ordered the gout hot pot course. The large live oysters and shrimp were delicious. The hot pot was brought out quickly and lit up. There weren't as many oysters as I expected, but it was still delicious with ankimo (monkfish liver). The shirako (milt) was also tasty. There was a variety of Japanese sake to enjoy as well!

When it comes to cold seasons, it's time for hot pot!! I also like oysters, so I tried the trendy gout hot pot. Be careful not to overeat. Haha, I'll have it only once a season. There were other options, but I ordered the standard oyster hot pot. It was more voluminous than I expected!! It was delicious, but even for oyster lovers, it was a huge amount.

I made a reservation for the hearty and delicious oyster hot pot course. The ankimo was rich, the raw oysters were juicy, and the large and delicious raw shrimp were all great. I couldn't eat the clams due to allergies, but the grilled clams had a good texture and were tasty even with just lemon. The oysters in the hot pot were fresh and plump, and the cabbage was sweet and delicious. I was quite full by this point, so I only had a single serving of the clam and oyster porridge with egg. It was like a chawanmushi. I also had four extra cups of oolong tea. With a seating charge of 528 yen, the total bill for two people was around 15,000 yen. It's a bit of a splurge, but I think it's worth it. I wouldn't regret it even if I got gout.

Had a dinner party with friends. We decided to end the year with a hearty hot pot at Kairi's place in Ebisu, which we often visit in Shibuya. This time, we had a private room with a separate area. Kairi is known for their gout hot pot, which was huge and surprised everyone! There was so much ankimo, shirako, shrimp, and oysters. We couldn't finish it all and ended up feeling like we couldn't eat anymore. It was a fun way to end the year with everyone enjoying the hot pot together. Thank you for the meal!

Dinner ■ Oyster Hot Pot ¥2,480 (per person / tax included) Oysters, a seasonal food in winter. I was wondering what kind of oyster dish to try this year when I discovered the "Oyster Hot Pot" at this restaurant. I made a reservation for the weekend and visited. The restaurant was bustling with a full house. It's better to make a reservation before going. The layout of the restaurant is long and narrow, quite cramped. We visited with 4 people, but the table seemed to be for 2 people and we had to squeeze in. The main dish, "Oyster Hot Pot." The oysters completely covered the pot, eliciting a natural "wow!" from the members around the pot. It was quite impressive. By the way, this pot only contains oysters and Chinese cabbage, which was also surprising. After cooking it on the stove and the pot starting to boil, we dug up the Chinese cabbage from the bottom of the pot and let the oysters soak in the broth. And before we knew it, it was ready. The pot itself is not seasoned in particular. When you take a sip of the soup, you can taste the pure essence of oysters. You can eat it as it is with the oyster essence and salt, but it's more stable to eat it with the ponzu sauce on the table. However, it cannot be denied that the ingredients are only oysters and Chinese cabbage, which can be monotonous. For the finishing touch, we had a rice porridge. The pot was taken back to the kitchen and returned to us completed. This rice porridge was incredibly delicious. The oyster-infused broth permeated every grain of rice. The rice porridge was more impressive than the pot itself. We snacked on ginkgo nuts, raw oysters, oyster fry, and had a few drinks, totaling around ¥5,500 per person. If you just want to indulge in oysters and try various oyster dishes, this is the place to go.

I wanted to eat both shrimp and oysters, so I decided to have a shabu-shabu meal at a shared table. The miso cucumber, colorful shrimp crackers, shrimp salad, and grilled shrimp were all delicious. I changed the grilled shrimp to clams. The shrimp sashimi was firm, sweet, and absolutely delicious. The raw oysters were large and juicy. For the shabu-shabu, we could choose between two types of soup, so we chose kombu and beef bone. Both the oysters and shrimp for shabu-shabu were so fresh and tasty. The raw shrimp was sweet and sticky, absolutely amazing! Even after shabu-shabu, the oysters and shrimp were incredibly delicious and disappeared quickly. We added shrimp heads to the soup to make a flavorful broth, which made the ramen at the end also fantastic.

Seasonal Gout Nabe for 2 people. The hot pot includes ankimo, shirako, oysters, shrimp, crab miso, squid, and plenty of vegetables. The ankimo and shirako on top can be enjoyed as appetizers while waiting for the pot to boil. At first, it seemed like a lot of food, but both men and women ended up feeling pleasantly full. We chose okayu as the finishing dish. Since we were already full from the hot pot, we probably didn't need to order the katsuwo warayaki or salt Tataki. 2-hour all-you-can-drink Sapporo Black Label draft beer x2, sake x10 including Dassai, Mansaku no Hana, Yuki no Meshiya, and others. We enjoyed comparing 10 different types of sake! It's great that you can order anything from the menu besides the bottles, which is a nice system for sake lovers. The seating is limited to 2 hours, so it's recommended for those who plan to drink more than 3 glasses.

I made a reservation with a friend who loves shrimp and we went to eat shrimp hot pot. The shrimp was the main highlight! The restaurant was crowded and the seating was a bit cramped. The distance between the pots was close, making it easy to cook the shrimp. We chose the shrimp hot pot course, which also came with sashimi! It was rare to have two types of shrimp sashimi. The oysters were large. There were two types of soup for the shrimp hot pot, so we didn't get tired of just eating shrimp. By the way, from what I saw at other tables, we were the only ones who ordered the shrimp hot pot course haha. If you love shrimp, this restaurant is a great place to eat as you can enjoy plenty of shrimp dishes. Highly recommend!

I had heard that if you don't order a hot pot at the time of reservation, it cannot be made, but they said they can accept it for the first order of the day. My friend recommended the a la carte menu which is also abundant, so this time we didn't order a hot pot. The large fresh oysters, grilled scallops, and kimchi-marinated raw shrimp were all delicious with plump and chewy meat. I heard from my friend that the reservation was made for the 18:00-20:30 slot, but they took the last order at 19:00, even though it was an hour before the seating time. I found it odd that they took the last order so early, but due to the busy atmosphere in the restaurant, we decided to leave promptly. I'm not sure if it was a mistake or if that's just how they operate.

At least once a year, I always visit Kairi-san's restaurant. When it gets cold, I always crave it, I miss it. Kairi-san's gout nabe is irresistible. It is served in various restaurants, but the overflowing amount of ingredients in the nabe is just amazing. The ankimo served in the nabe can be eaten raw, so I couldn't help but snack on it while waiting for the nabe to be ready. When I ordered, I was told that there was shirako in the nabe, so I also added shirako ponzu. With ankimo, shirako, oysters, and shrimp all in one nabe, I was so happy. I indulged in it thinking that it wouldn't be a problem to eat too much for just one day. My recommendation is definitely the "gout nabe," but I noticed that many tables were ordering the oyster nabe. Next time I visit, I think I'll still go for the gout nabe (laughs).

The Gout Hot Pot is exactly as it looks, allowing you to enjoy a rich amount of purines. It was so rich that my feet started tingling on the train ride home, and I realized, "So this is gout!" It was a surprising and unpleasant realization. The portion size is extremely large, with one serving at this restaurant being more like 1.5-2 servings for one person. Keep this in mind when ordering rice or noodles as a side dish. The reservation policy stated a minimum of 6 people for a private room, so I thought we would have plenty of space with 6 people. However, when we arrived, there were several unused chairs in the small private room, and the table was quite cramped. The lack of staff and absence of a call button made the service a bit unsatisfactory.

Ebisu "Kairi" is known for its "Gout Hot Pot", but this time we tried their "Shared Shabu Shabu". We enjoyed the luxurious shabu shabu experience with fresh, large oysters and shrimp that can also be eaten raw. The broth this time was made with kombu and sea urchin, adding a delicious flavor to the meal. The raw shrimp sashimi was fresh and the live shrimp surprised us when it suddenly moved while we were eating it. We also tried their famous "Wild Shrimp" which gets more lively as you pour the Shaoxing wine sauce over it. It may seem a bit pitiful, but everything was delicious. Located very close to Ebisu Station, it is highly recommended to make a reservation before visiting as it tends to get crowded. #EbisuGourmet #EbisuDinner #EbisuSeafood #Ebisu #Kairi #Shrimp #Oysters

■Date and Time: Weekday, 7:30 PM. Reservation made the day before. It said that a reservation was required for the hot pot, but apparently you can also do it on the day. ■Food: I had tried gout hot pot before and revisited, but this time it was honestly not that great. The ingredients were all so-so, and while there was a lot of them, the oysters and ankimo were not impressive. The shrimp sashimi was delicious! The shrimp mayo was okay.
