I was planning to have lunch with soba noodles, but the line was already long, so I changed to meat. It was my first visit to this place based on its appearance. It was not even noon yet, but there were already several groups of customers inside. I was torn between shabu-shabu and beef sukiyaki, but I decided on the Matsusaka beef hot pot. The meat was very delicious with a sweet fat content! Thank you for the meal :)

I became a dinner refugee in Ueno and wandered around until I found this place. They were kind and accommodating even though I showed up unexpectedly. The service was warm and welcoming. I ordered the all-you-can-eat sukiyaki. You can also order just the meat or specific vegetables. The broth was light and flavorful.

I came to this restaurant in Ueno because I wanted to eat a lot of meat. This time, I wanted to eat sukiyaki, so I chose the all-you-can-eat sukiyaki option. I ordered drinks separately, choosing beer and lemon sour. I also ordered rice, and it came in a super large portion (lol)! For the sukiyaki, I chose the frosted domestic beef option. There were also options for Matsusaka beef and Yonezawa beef, but I went with the lowest-priced one. The sukiyaki arrived and it was so marbled, even though it was the cheapest option. I immediately put it in the pot. The thinly sliced meat was very tender and melted in my mouth, very delicious. The sauce was on the sweeter side and paired well with the rice. The meat was tender and tasted even better when mixed with the sauce and raw egg.

When I went to the 4th floor yakiniku restaurant, it was closed for the day. So, I decided to visit this place on the 2nd floor instead. During lunch time, they offer options like pork shabu-shabu, beef shabu-shabu, pork & beef shabu-shabu, and more. The pork shabu-shabu (880 yen including tax) uses domestic pork. The image shows two servings. It seems like they have slightly raised the prices compared to 5 years ago, but it is still reasonable. There were foreign visitors with suitcases in line. Perhaps this restaurant is featured in a guidebook for foreigners.

I visited around 11:30 on a regular day. The restaurant quickly filled up after I arrived as the first customer. It seemed like the staff was busy, possibly with only one person managing the hall. It was hard to get their attention even when ringing the bell, but it was understandable given the circumstances. I ordered the lunch shabu-shabu menu and added various items later. The Matsusaka beef was incredibly tender, almost melting in my mouth. It was a unique experience having beef that tender. The Yamagata beef was also very tender, with a bit more meaty texture compared to the Matsusaka beef. Personally, I preferred the Yamagata beef for shabu-shabu. The domestic pork loin and belly were also tender and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by how soft and flavorful the pork was. The white color of the pork did not bother me at all. The domestic beef was very similar to the Yamagata beef, with slightly more lean meat. The tenderness and taste were equally enjoyable. I was happy that they had a rich sesame dipping sauce, as I prefer that type. The Matsusaka and Yamagata beef were complimentary, and so were the additional servings, which was a nice touch. By the time I left, there were already 2-3 groups waiting in line. I would love to try their all-you-can-eat option if I have the chance. Thank you for the delicious meal! ^_^

It is a restaurant with a traditional Japanese interior. I tried the all-you-can-eat premium Japanese beef, and I was surprised by how big and delicious each piece of meat was. However, I couldn't eat as much as I thought because the beef was quite fatty and I started to feel full. In the end, the rice was also delicious and the meat was of good quality, so I felt satisfied. I only managed to eat about 10 pieces of meat, so I felt like maybe ordering a set menu would have been enough. The staff were polite and efficient, which made the experience enjoyable. Considering the cost performance, I would definitely like to visit again.

I came to a shabu-shabu restaurant in Ameyoko. It's lunchtime, but I ordered the all-you-can-eat menu for dinner, with Yamagata beef shabu-shabu and all-you-can-drink. The seating is in a private room with a sunken kotatsu, so it's relaxing. After ordering drinks, the vegetables and meat arrived. The meat is truly Yamagata beef. The marbling is wonderful and the taste is excellent. There are ponzu and sesame sauces for dipping. It's delicious, but shabu-shabu can get a bit boring, right?

I visited a restaurant with my senior colleagues after a sauna. We had a luxurious three kinds of shabu-shabu course with all-you-can-drink for 6600 yen. We also ordered truffle porridge. The all-you-can-drink included highballs and was very fulfilling. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Although I was torn between all-you-can-eat and the course, I was satisfied with the delicious meal.

I went to this restaurant to have lunch with a friend near Ueno. The place is located near Ameyoko in Ueno, a little east of ABAB. The restaurant has a stylish and slightly dim atmosphere specializing in hot pot dishes. We ordered the lunch beef sukiyaki, one with domestic beef and the other with marbled beef to share. The sukiyaki with domestic beef was tender enough and delicious with plenty of vegetables. The marbled beef was even more tender. I recommend it for lunch in the Ueno Ameyoko area.

I visited a shabu shabu restaurant in Ueno on a Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM. I ordered the domestic pork loin for 880 yen. Soon after, the pot with meat and vegetables was served. The pork was average quality for the price. I enjoyed the shabu shabu with vegetables using only ponzu sauce for dipping. The overall taste was okay. The noodles were a bit dry and difficult to eat. And then there was the rice. The rice was surprisingly bad. I wonder what caused this, maybe a rice expert could explain. But considering the price, maybe it's understandable. It was a good place to enjoy shabu shabu at a reasonable price.

After the end of the state of emergency, I enjoyed eating out for the first time in a while. I indulged in an all-you-can-eat meal. The shabu-shabu with Yamagata beef was exquisite, with just the right amount of fat and a high-quality taste without any heaviness. The richness of the meat spreads out, giving a satisfying feeling. The vegetable platter included Chinese cabbage, shungiku (edible chrysanthemum), tofu, enoki mushrooms, and white konjac, and it also came with kishimen noodles as a finishing touch.

First visit! On December 31, 2021, I went shopping in Ameyoko and discovered this restaurant right behind it! Since the ratings on Tabelog were not bad, I decided to go in. When I asked for recommendations, all I got was "We are a long-established restaurant and use good quality meat that is different from others!" So, I assumed the recommended option would be the set with Yamagata beef, Matsusaka beef, and Iwami pork shabu-shabu, along with beer and hot tea since it was cold outside. After being seated at a table, the hot pot arrived, but then nothing else came. No drinks, no meat... After about 20 minutes of waiting, I couldn't take it anymore and asked. They brought the beer first (laughs), and eventually, the tea and meat arrived! The Yamagata beef and Matsusaka beef were both delicious, but they were quite different. The Matsusaka beef stood out with its sweetness and tenderness. The pork was also tender and had a stronger umami flavor than the beef. For the finale, I ordered the option to choose between kishimen noodles and truffle zosui. I asked how long to cook the kishimen noodles, and they just said "as you like" (laughs). When I asked about the soup, they said "whatever you prefer" (laughs). So, I made it as I pleased, and it turned out delicious. I also ordered the truffle zosui, but it never came... When I inquired, they realized they had forgotten to put in the order! So, I ended up canceling it. Some time later, the person at the next table mentioned that they had run out of rice, but I couldn't help but think they never had rice to begin with (laughs). Despite the tasty food, it was disappointing... The staff were cute older ladies and gentlemen, and I appreciate them working on New Year's Eve, but it was a very disappointing last meal of 2021! (´;ω;`) Thank you for the meal ♡

Moved from Shinagawa to Ueno station. Today was a paid day off and I had some errands in Shinagawa, so there was some tension, but I was able to handle it well, which relieved the tension. I decided to watch a movie and went to a ticket shop, but the prices were not cheap at all. I thought about having lunch first, and I saw many posters for a "Mummy Exhibition" around town. Perfect! They had tickets available on the day! I reserved a ticket and then decided to have lunch at a shabu-shabu restaurant. They had a lunch special of steamed pork belly for 990 yen, which was a luxurious choice! The staff explained, "This is the dipping sauce for the noodles. Please use ponzu sauce for the meat." I thought rice was not included, but they brought it later. Steaming makes vegetables like Chinese cabbage, shungiku, and green onions sweeter. There were also harusame and kishimen noodles. The pot under the steamer had water in it, so unlike shabu-shabu, you couldn't scoop out the water to mix with ponzu sauce. The pork belly was sweet and delicious. They provided plenty of condiments like chopped green onions, grated ginger, and grated radish. The sign said, "Solo diners welcome," but there were no tourists around now. The meal was delicious, but the noise was not appetizing. They were talking about "protein," so I think they were conscious of their body shape and making an effort, but categorizing people by body type was not something I wanted to hear while eating. Oops! It's time to go to the Mummy Exhibition.

The company representative wanted to eat shabu-shabu, so we visited this restaurant for the first time. We ordered the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink option with Yonezawa beef. The all-you-can-eat included meat, vegetables, and kishimen noodles only. The all-you-can-drink was standard. We also ordered edamame as an extra. The meat was delicious, with marbled texture and sweetness. Each plate was over 200g, so I ate 5 plates totaling 1kg. The staff mentioned that it's more cost-effective than ordering individual dishes. For those who want to eat a lot of meat, it's recommended to skip the marinated vegetables. Overall, it was a great experience, but towards the end, I was really full. I will definitely come back!

I visited during Sunday lunchtime. You can enjoy delicious shabu-shabu for 1200-1800 yen during lunch hours. The taste is average, something you could easily make at home. Nothing particularly special. 5985 yen for 2 people - 2 lunch shabu-shabu, 6 drinks.

I have been going to this shabu-shabu and sukiyaki restaurant for about 10 years. The spacious and relaxed seating area, along with reasonably priced delicious meat, has been very convenient for me. This time, I had the sukiyaki with Yamagata beef. Unlike when I had Matsusaka beef before and found it too heavy, this one had a nice sweetness without being overpowering, so I could enjoy it until the end. The cherry tomatoes in the vegetable platter also paired well with the sukiyaki and were delicious. I also tried the new menu item, Truffle & Truffle Sauce, this time. I didn't really taste the truffle itself, but the sauce was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient, making it an overall satisfying dining experience.

I am always amazed by the exquisite deliciousness every time. After having a terrible experience at the first restaurant, feeling down, I stumbled upon this place while wandering around. I had never tried sukiyaki outside before, but I was blown away. From the sauce to the vegetables, and of course the meat, everything was incredibly delicious. Just look at this marbled meat. I had Yamagata beef and Matsusaka beef. The meat is sold by weight, so the number of slices varies depending on the thickness at the time. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is quiet, but the auntie-like waitress was so friendly and lovely. I have been back many times, but I finally wrote a review.

Had a work discussion with a friend in Ueno and we were talking about grabbing a bite to eat. We ended up walking around and decided to try out a shabu-shabu/sukiyaki restaurant that caught our eye. Personally, I prefer sukiyaki so I ordered the sukiyaki with Yamagata beef. It was delicious. The location is convenient and I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

Already in the Kanto region, the rainy season has begun. For the next few weeks, we will have to deal with hot and humid weather. The sky is cloudy with rain expected later in the afternoon on Sunday. The two members of the "Pitopito Star People", "Ichigou" and "Nigou", are in the Ueno station area to take care of some errands. After finishing their errands, it's time for a nice lunch. Let's head to the rice cooker restaurant they were looking forward to... Unfortunately, it was closed due to the impact of the new coronavirus. It's a common occurrence, so they didn't let it get them down and continued on to the nightlife district where many bars are concentrated. Along the way, they noticed a sign that caught their attention - a shabu-shabu and sukiyaki sign. It's been a while since they had shabu-shabu or sukiyaki. Today, they will visit "Hachi no Ki" restaurant. Singing Saito Kazuyoshi's "Yasashiku Naritai" song, Ichigou and Nigou reminisce about the past. It was the theme song for the drama "Kaseifu no Mita". The restaurant is about a 4-5 minute walk from Ueno station. The spacious interior has a traditional Japanese restaurant atmosphere. The veteran female servers quickly prepare and explain the dishes. The restaurant does not have a parking lot. It is completely non-smoking, with no smoking room available. Today's alcohol choice was "Premium Lemon Sour" x2. They ordered "Domestic Beef & Pork Loin" for 1200 yen, "Domestic Beef" for 1500 yen, and an additional "Domestic Beef" for 1000 yen. They chose the lunch shabu-shabu menu, which comes with a moderate amount of meat. The quality of the meat was better than all-you-can-eat chain restaurants. The shabu-shabu comes with rice and kishimen noodles, making it a satisfying meal. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit for a good value lunch shabu-shabu experience. They left satisfied but still hungry for more delicious food in Ueno. Let's move on to the next restaurant! Pitopito, pitopito.

On January 3rd, my partner and I were originally planning to have dinner here at 5:00 PM, but suddenly felt like having sushi and ended up going to Kanazawa Maimon Sushi. There was a line of about 40 people waiting. We had planned to come here as originally scheduled... It has been over 20 years since I first came here, and I have been coming back occasionally ever since. The prices have not changed much over the years, and they continue to provide great value with their all-you-can-eat options. The 4800 yen all-you-can-eat option with marbled beef is very satisfying, but since it was New Year's, we decided to go for the A5 Yamagata beef shabu-shabu 2-hour all-you-can-eat option for 8800 yen per person, totaling 19360 yen including tax. You can also choose sukiyaki, but I always go for shabu-shabu because I like to eat a lot. The meat arrived in large amounts, with about 50g per plate, 6 plates in total, around 300g? I heard that Gal○n ate 20 plates, which is about 6.0kg, but I wonder how much we can eat. The meat is cut beautifully by the chef from a chunk of meat for each plate. The taste of the meat is as expected, about 5000 times better than shabu leaves and 20000 times better than Sutamina Tarou... Meat with this much marbling is hard to eat in large quantities. The restaurant's notice says, "As the meat is marbled, please consider your health condition if you plan to eat a lot during the all-you-can-eat." The wonderful thing about this place is that the staff will ask you if you want more even if you keep eating and eating. I couldn't eat anymore... The vegetables can also be added, with no restrictions on the types you like. In the end, I had 9 plates and my partner had 3 plates, totaling about 3.6kg of meat. I could have negotiated the price down to around 500 yen per 100g, but I thought I was eating while considering my health, yet I have had diarrhea from midnight until now. I'm already an old man, so I think I will stop going to all-you-can-eat places this year. When you come here, I would like to add that the 4800 yen all-you-can-eat option is more than enough.
