When it comes to matcha, people often think of Kyoto. This shop seems to be very popular for their matcha crepes. I had to wait for 30 minutes on a Sunday at 2 pm. They seem to use matcha from Kyoto, as the menu names were related to Kyoto such as Yasaka, Maruyama, and Gion. The creme brulee crepe (Maruyama) was sold out by 2 pm. I ordered the Yasaka crepe for 950 yen. Be careful, the matcha on top can be overpowering! The matcha cream and sponge were very satisfying and delicious. As a snack, one crepe shared between two people would be enough.

There was a crepe shop in Asakusa with long lines that I've been curious about. I couldn't decide when to go, but then they had an event at Shinjuku Takashimaya! I ordered one with matcha and chocolate. I love matcha sweets, so I was looking forward to it, but personally, I prefer sweeter matcha sweets, so it didn't suit my taste. The crepe had a strong bitterness of matcha.

It is located in a narrow alley. Buy a meal ticket and hand it to the staff through the window. You have to line up in a specific position or you will be scolded with a serious face. When I ordered at around 1 pm, the Enmachi flavor was sold out (I didn't know it was something that would sell out). There was only one person waiting, so I was able to purchase smoothly. The eating area barely had a roof, so it can be tough in the summer. The flow of flavors was chocolate crunch, bitter matcha cream, and nuts. The cream was honestly just average. It might be unfair to compare it to convenience store sweets, but if I had to choose between a collaboration between a convenience store and a matcha shop or this place, I might go for the convenience store for cost-effectiveness. A little further down the road, I found a matcha shop that serves matcha creme brulee crepes and has an eat-in space. Beyond that, there is a spacious establishment with an interior filled with matcha-themed items, making me regret not considering other options.

I visited this place because it's popular on Instagram and other social media. It took about 40 minutes to get there on a Saturday afternoon, and it was quite crowded. The crepes definitely look good for photos, but the taste was a bit too strong on the matcha flavor for me. Also, the size was smaller than expected, especially considering the wait time and the price. Taste is subjective, so I'll leave it up to you to decide, but personally, I don't think I'll be visiting again.

880 yen is a bit on the pricey side, but the chewy matcha crepe and fun toppings were really delicious. It's definitely one of the better options for tourist food. For more details, check out the blog (Futatabi). https://futatabiblog.com/kotobukiseian-asakusa/
I know it can be overwhelming with all the trendy things on social media. Is it possible to make a reservation? How do you know when they're sold out? It can be confusing to understand the ticket system for a place you want to visit. I want to help clear up those doubts as much as possible.

When it comes to Asakusa, you must search for "Asakusa Sweets" and this place always comes up. There is always a line, but the turnover is not bad. You buy a meal ticket from a vending machine while waiting in line. The green tea powder sprinkled on top has a good bitterness, true to the taste of matcha. However, the cream inside is sweet, so the combination of bitterness and sweetness makes it a top-notch Japanese sweet. The cream is packed all the way to the front. The dough is also chewy and delicious. If you come to Asakusa, it's worth waiting in line to try it.

Visited with my younger sister for the second time. This time we ordered Yatsuka ♡ My sister ordered Gion ♡ Yatsuka for the first time and it was amazing! The matcha powder on top is bitter and sticks to your teeth, but I like it (*´-`) Inside, there was matcha sponge and bean-like ingredients that matched well with the matcha and were delicious! I want to try all the items on the menu (//∇//)

I really enjoyed the matcha flavor! It's more about the matcha taste than sweetness, perfect for those who like the flavor of matcha. I ordered the "Uji" which had cream and matcha-infused sponge cake with black beans inside, and I devoured it quickly. Just be careful as matcha powder may fly around and your front teeth and lips may turn green. Everything cost 880 yen, purchased from a ticket vending machine and then waited for. The wait was about 30 minutes.

I finally made it to Jukuseian! Despite it being past 11 o'clock, there were about 5 people in line! When I tried to buy a ticket at the machine, I only had 500 yen coins, but the staff kindly made change for me. This time, I tried the Gion variety! The kinako on top was not too sweet, and the matcha was pleasantly bitter, which I liked! Inside, there were mitarashi dango and nuts! However, the portion was smaller than I expected, so it might be better not to have high expectations. It was definitely delicious, so I would love to visit again when I go to Asakusa!

When I went to Asakusa before, I couldn't get a ticket and gave up on the crepe shop "Jukkenan"! This time, I went earlier and was able to get a ticket successfully! I was about 15th in line and was able to receive the product! The matcha flavor was strong and it was a happy taste for matcha lovers! However, it's easy to choke on the powder, so I recommend eating slowly...

I'm not a fan of matcha, but I decided to wait in the long line, thinking maybe it's really good. I was lucky to be able to buy without getting a ticket that day! The taste was very matcha-flavored, and when I ate just the matcha part, it was quite bitter. But when eaten with the whipped cream, it was delicious! I actually wanted to try the creme brulee...but they were sold out. Also, it felt a bit awkward waiting in line alone as a man.

There are several crepe shops in Asakusa, but this one had quite a long line. It specializes in matcha crepes. They offer a variety of options, including crepes with tiramisu or dango. They also have crepes with creme brulee, but those were sold out by noon. The "Uji" crepe costs 800 yen and is topped with crunchy chocolate, whipped cream, and almond slices. It looks cute and is very Instagrammable. The crepe was simple but had a generous amount of whipped cream. However, as I ate, I found that there were only almond slices left at the top. It felt like they were giving their all on the top part of the crepe. Enjoy the chewy texture of the crepe at the bottom. I went along with someone else, so I thought one visit would be enough...

I arrived around 11:30, thinking the store would open at 12, but there was already a line. However, the line moved quickly so the wait wasn't too bad. I'm not a big fan of matcha, so I chose the Gion option. I received one ticket at the pick-up counter and was able to place my order. The Gion option had a half serving of kinako and matcha with two pieces of mitarashi dango. The kinako was delicious and the mochi was chewy. When I ate the mitarashi dango, the sweet and salty flavors of the sauce and the cream inside made me happy.

You can enjoy authentic matcha crepes here. There is no seating available, only takeout. The shop is located in a narrow space between buildings, so it may be difficult to find, but the long line of customers should give it away. I lined up from 11 am, but it took about 30 minutes to place an order, and the crepe I wanted was sold out just before my turn. There is a cash-only ticket machine next to the shop, where you purchase a ticket and hand it over to order your desired crepe. The crepes are not sweet matcha, but rather a truly authentic matcha flavor with a good balance of bitterness. Matcha lovers and crepe enthusiasts should definitely make the effort to wait in line and try these out.

I often use this place for dates ✨ My girlfriend loves the matcha crepe, it's her favorite. Not only does it look cute, but it also tastes delicious, so we order it every time! This place holds a lot of memories for me, so I come to eat here regularly, sometimes even stopping by on a whim.

I lined up 20 minutes before the Sunday opening. I was the first in line, so I bought my meal ticket right when they opened. First, I bought the meal ticket and then chose from three options. The prices were all the same. I ordered the creme brulee that I had been curious about. The spoons were placed in front of the register. It's not allowed to walk and eat at the same time. There is a bench near the shop and an outdoor rest area, so I enjoyed my meal there. The texture was chewy, but the cream inside was a bit too sweet for me. I wish there was a bit more matcha flavor. Maybe I had set my expectations too high.

I was asked to buy some thunder cake in Asakusa. I found a crowded alley and discovered a matcha crepe shop that I had seen on a certain SNS before. I decided to stay in Asakusa that night and lined up early the next morning. Even then, there was still a line. I bought a ticket, lined up, and they made each crepe to order. The person in charge of cooking the crepe skin seemed to be practicing, as they kept tearing holes in the dough and throwing it away each time they flipped it, which was causing the line to get longer. They were instructed that it was okay if it tore a little while wrapping it. They were told to practice making a lot and get better at it! It was delicious~

I visited in the early afternoon on a weekday, and it was very crowded! I bought a ticket and waited in line to receive my order for about 45 minutes! I think it's best to go when you have plenty of time! There were four types of matcha crepes, and I had a hard time deciding, but I chose the regular matcha crepe! The taste was not too sweet, just right! Personally, I felt that one crepe was a lot to eat, so sharing it with another person was the right choice! Next time I go to Asakusa, I want to try a different type!

This is a matcha crepe specialty shop in Asakusa. My wife and I visited on a holiday, but there was a line. However, since it is a take-out only shop, we didn't have to wait too long. We ordered the most popular item, Yatsuka (¥880)! It was a delicious Japanese-style dessert with rich matcha and the perfect sweetness of tiramisu. One thing to note when eating is that you might cough from the matcha powder. There are other matcha crepe shops in Asakusa with long lines, so it seems to be a small trend.

I ordered the matcha tiramisu crepe "Yasaka" from the highly anticipated Jukiyuan. The matcha powder was rich and plentiful! The crepe is priced at 880 yen each, with other options like chocolate crunch and creme brulee available. I bought my crepe from the ticket machine and then lined up. The matcha tiramisu crepe was delicious, with a generous amount of matcha powder! I had to take off my mask to avoid getting covered in matcha (lol). The cream inside was also delicious! The black beans that are occasionally included added a nice touch. I was very satisfied to finally eat the matcha-covered crepe I had been wanting.
