自称カレー王
I'll say it upfront. This restaurant is amazing. It's a fantastic place that I highly recommend to both curry enthusiasts and those who are not. I recently came across a restaurant that far exceeded my expectations. Especially for evening drinks, it is definitely recommended. The meticulously crafted Nepalese cuisine, tailored to suit the Japanese palate, is top-notch, and you can also experience rare Nepalese culture, which will appeal to enthusiasts. Namaste. I am the self-proclaimed Curry King, completely overwhelmed with excitement. Since there is not much information available about this restaurant, I want to make sure to convey what kind of place it is, so this might be a bit long. I recommend taking about a week to read it. The restaurant, "Ethnic Kitchen & Bar By Dikshya," is located in Yushima, within walking distance from Ueno and Okachimachi. The owner is from Pokhara, Nepal, and the restaurant offers authentic Nepalese cuisine. The owner graduated from a Japanese language school, and having married a Japanese lady, he is fluent in Japanese. He has even mastered the Japanese hospitality. His level of hospitality surpasses even someone like me, who is only interested in the erotic. To be honest, it is quite rare to find such level of hospitality even in Japan, the birthplace of Christel. The service is not the only impressive thing, I was completely blown away by the food as well. Here are some of the dishes I tried: - Tuna and Cabbage with Mayonnaise Curry: A dish where cabbage is stir-fried with sesame oil, black sesame, mayonnaise, and spices. The spices are freshly ground at the restaurant, giving a fresh flavor. The slightly intense flavor with soy sauce and sake is delightful. This dish reminded me of a dish my mother used to make, but this one is even better with the addition of spices. The cabbage is perfectly tender, and the combination of mayonnaise and tuna with spices is just amazing. - High Momo: Authentic Nepalese momo served in a set with a highball drink for 690 yen. The hot momo is made with handmade skin that is chewy and flavorful. The spicy flavor from the Golbheda Achar complements the momo well, and dipping it in the homemade spicy sauce enhances the flavor even more. - Homemade Ginger Highball: A refreshing highball drink with a balanced sweetness and ginger flavor. The addition of lemon and spices like cloves and cardamom in the glass adds a unique touch to the drink. - Jaikatte: A traditional Nepalese liquor made with hot Nepalese shochu and roasted basmati rice. The ghee flavor and the spices floating in the drink make it a unique and flavorful choice. This drink is quite strong, so be careful not to drink too much. - Homemade Tandoori Chicken Oyakodon: Tandoori chicken served on top of rice, with the marinade flavoring the entire dish. The basmati rice absorbs the flavors beautifully, creating a spicy yet elegant dish. I requested less rice and opted for basmati rice (you can also choose mixed grain rice). The marinade of the tandoori chicken permeates the dish, making it a delightful and sophisticated meal.
