なまらうまい
I went to drink with my colleagues in Ikebukuro, and we decided to go to a restaurant called "Uonami" that my junior had been to before and said it was delicious. It is located in a basement of a mixed-use building near the Toshima Ward Office, with a curtain that says "Ikebukuro Higashi Exit Minato" at the staircase on the first floor. The restaurant had a clean and cozy atmosphere, with a large fish tank in the middle of the counter, giving it a seafood restaurant vibe. We were all hungry, so we ordered a variety of dishes including Aomori-produced mackerel sashimi, winter delicacies platter (shirako, ankimo, oysters), kimchi chicken, whitebait with shiso rolls, grilled rice crackers, mentaiko, shrimp dumplings, fried tofu with myoga, beef tendon stew, bean sprout namul, and pickled plums. The Aomori mackerel sashimi was particularly delicious, with a rich flavor, firm texture, and a refreshing sweetness. We all agreed it was really tasty! The winter delicacies platter was also excellent, especially the ankimo which I really enjoyed. The oysters were sweet and just the right size. We also loved the shirasu with shiso rolls, as the broth was delicious. The kimchi chicken had a generous portion and was flavorful. The fried tofu with myoga was refreshing and highlighted the quality of the ingredients. Towards the end, we tried the grilled rice crackers, which were unique and went really well with alcohol. We had a variety of drinks, mostly sours, and the total bill for three of us was around 3500 yen per person. I was very satisfied with the meal and the price. If you're looking to eat sashimi, this restaurant is definitely worth considering. My junior's recommendation did not disappoint, and I would love to come back here again the next time I'm in Ikebukuro.
