After work, I went to dinner with a salesperson. They recommended Maguro Traemon in Kanda, where you can enjoy delicious tuna. The restaurant is spacious and located underground. We had a semi-private table. We left the ordering to the salesperson who took us there. There was a variety of drinks, and I was happy to see my favorite Mio sparkling wine. I stuck with Mio the whole time. We had Tuna and Avocado Tomato Salad for 660 yen, which I loved because I'm a fan of avocado. It came with plenty of salsa sauce. We also had Tuna and Nagaimo (Chinese yam) Salad for 580 yen, a delicious combination of tuna and nagaimo. We ordered the Traemon Set for 880 yen per person, which included a variety of tuna cuts like Otoro, Chutoro, Akami, Nodoguro, and Cheek Meat. You can enjoy them with sesame oil, wasabi, and rock salt. The cheek meat was a rare cut, but it was tender and delicious. We also tried the Rare Tuna Cutlet for 880 yen, which was delicious. The Traemon Mountain for 1960 yen for two people was a tower of tuna, Uni, and Ikura on top of Negitoro Gunkan. It looked luxurious and tasted amazing. For dessert, we had Traemon Ice Cream for 580 yen, which was vanilla ice cream with warabi mochi. The variety of tuna dishes at Traemon was impressive, as they source their tuna directly. It was a unique experience to try tuna in different styles other than sushi or sashimi. We ordered a la carte, but they also offer course menus for those who want to enjoy a variety of tuna dishes in one go.

I ate delicious tuna at an izakaya in Kanda until I was full. You can also drink plenty of alcohol, including mega sizes. The private rooms are not too big or too small, making them perfect for a slightly special drinking party!

Cost performance is excellent. The dishes were very cheap for the course, but the portions were satisfying. The drinks were a bit slow to come out, and there were some mistakes, but my colleague who doesn't drink alcohol said that a lot of soft drink options were available at this izakaya with all-you-can-drink. The medium fatty tuna sashimi was delicious. It seems like a good place when you want to have a cheap drinking party.

Maguro Traemon in Kanda offers a unique dining experience specializing in bluefin tuna. Located underground just across from the south exit of Kanda Station, this creative izakaya serves a variety of dishes such as Bluefin Tuna Mountain, Bluefin Tuna Belly Sashimi, Bluefin Tuna Tartare, Bluefin Tuna Leaf-Wrapped Rare Cutlet, Mackerel Salad, and Grilled Oysters. The highlight is the sashimi platter showcasing different cuts of bluefin tuna from lean to fatty belly.

I heard that you can eat grilled tuna at Maguro Traemon in Kanda, just a 1-minute walk from JR Kanda Station. Here are the dishes I tried: - Traemon Mountain (3278 yen): A signature dish with a lot of tuna, ikura, salmon, and other seafood on top of sushi. It was delicious! - Tuna sashimi selection (4290 yen): You can enjoy different cuts of tuna, from otoro to akami. - Selected Otoro (1518 yen): The grilled tuna was juicy and tender. - Toribukko clay pot rice (2178 yen): The clay pot rice with whole fried squid was a great way to finish the meal. Other dishes we ordered: - Traemon Ice Cream (693 yen) - Eel kabayaki (1210 yen) - Mackerel salad (858 yen) - Tuna and avocado tartare on bread (1210 yen) - Assorted 3 kinds of tuna delicacies (1595 yen) - Rich vanilla ice cream (528 yen) - Tuna tail only (1078 yen) - Creative skewers (638-1078 yen) Avocado salsa sauce, Tuna and shiso leaf roll, Rare salmon with burnt cheese, Ikura on top, Truffle-flavored seasoned soft-boiled egg skewer, Natto kenchaku fried, Cheese potato chips, Cheese tempura, Situation: with friends, at a drinking party.

When you open the menu, you'll want to try everything, especially the variety of tuna dishes. The must-try is the famous "Toraemon Mountain" - a stack of bluefin tuna, sea urchin, and salmon roe. It's like a piece of sushi that's easy to share. The bluefin tuna hand rolls are also a hit, with a soft texture that melts in your mouth. You can choose between back and belly side bluefin tuna sashimi, both are incredibly delicious. I couldn't help but finish them all in no time (lol). I even tried the grilled fish, which was surprisingly good! It only takes about 5 seconds on each side to cook. In addition to tuna, the menu offers a variety of dishes from appetizers to desserts, all of which are well thought out! This izakaya is highly recommended for drinking parties and banquets (*^▽^*)

I have visited various tuna specialty stores, but this time I went to a specialty store in Kanda. With a group of three or more, you can enjoy all-you-can-drink courses, so I reserved the second from the bottom, the 5500 yen medium fatty tuna course. I descended the stairs to the basement and entered the store. The dishes were served in small portions but there were many different items to enjoy. As expected from a tuna specialty store, the tuna, especially the medium fatty tuna sashimi, was delicious. At other tuna markets, the tuna can become too fatty towards the end, but here, not only sashimi but also dishes like katsu and ajillo were served, so it was never boring. The all-you-can-drink menu had a variety of alcoholic drinks, and although the draft beer was just Super Dry... well, it was fine. Next time, I will try the next course up for drinks.

This was my first time using the night course. This time, I chose a 3-hour all-you-can-drink course for 7,000 yen with the last order 30 minutes before. The food is delicious, but the last order for drinks was earlier than 30 minutes. They said they couldn't accept additional drink orders because the seat is for 3 hours. It's a shame for the business. It seems like this place is better for enjoying drinks with a la carte dishes. Lesson learned.

Kanda izakaya. Located about a 2-minute walk from Kanda Station. As the name of the restaurant suggests, it specializes in tuna dishes. Look for the unique character "Toraemon" on the signboard. I visited around 7:30 pm on a Saturday and the place was about 40% full. The menu is quite extensive, but there are a lot of tuna options. Today, I tried the following dishes: - Mackerel salad (780 yen) - Steamed clams in sake (price unknown) The mackerel salad was interesting, with a canned mackerel on the plate that reveals mackerel and onions when opened. Mixing it with mayo and soy sauce made for a delicious salad. Next, I tried: - Rare tuna with shiso leaf roll (980 yen) - Tuna with salt koji yukke (880 yen) - Toraemon mountain (2980 yen) - Tuna and avocado tartare on bread (1100 yen) - Premium fatty tuna (1180 yen) The tuna dishes were all excellent, with the rare tuna roll and tuna with salt koji being standout favorites. The Toraemon mountain was visually impressive but a bit lacking in tuna quantity for the price. The fish yakiniku style dish was a unique and delicious experience. Overall, the restaurant offers a variety of unique tuna dishes with good quality and a cozy atmosphere. It's a great place for a private dinner or gathering.

Visited on Friday at 7:30 PM, the restaurant was almost full and bustling! It seems that they used to have a cheap beer and highball campaign on the 10th of every month during the pandemic, but it has ended. Well, that's understandable. I ordered the recommended Traemon Mountain (sushi with seafood toppings), grilled mackerel, and eggplant fritters. The Mountain used to be half price and even came with sea urchin, so I can feel the impact of rising prices... The mackerel was about 2/3 the size of what you would normally get at a restaurant... Are they cutting it? The eggplant fritters were delicious. Overall, the prices were high and the drinks were at regular prices, so I ended up spending around 5700 yen alone. Regardless of the prices, I was disappointed by the portion sizes of each dish... I felt the effects of the recession.

After researching various options with my colleagues, we decided to go for fish today. I had seen this place a few times while passing by, but my impression was not great as it seemed like a novelty. However, upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and spacious interior. Since the focus is on alcohol, the food is more of a side dish. However, the "Tuna Sashimi (belly)" was not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious. From the fatty red meat to the otoro, it was a delightful experience. Personally, I believe it is worth coming here just for this dish. The next time I'm in the mood for tuna in Kanda, I will definitely visit again.

I used it for a company drinking party. It was 5500 yen with all-you-can-drink. It was a bit disappointing that there were not only tuna sashimi but also salmon and other fish. I wish they had a selection of lean, medium fatty, and fatty tuna. The tuna steak and fried dishes were unique and delicious. The hand-rolled sushi was Instagram-worthy, with seaweed, rice, plenty of tuna and seafood, giving a luxurious feeling. The cake at the end was also satisfying. It was quite delicious and good.

I found an izakaya that allows smoking in front of the station, which seems to be well-known among smokers working in the Kanda area. They offer a course with 8 dishes of medium fatty tuna and 2.5 hours of all-you-can-drink for ¥5,500, but for men, the portion size was insufficient, so we had to order a few extra dishes. The closing dish, Torae Mon Mountain, was not as impressive as its name. We almost ended up going to eat ramen for our last meal. Unfortunately, one person canceled last minute due to feeling unwell, so I asked if we could at least change the all-you-can-drink portion of the course, but they said it was not possible as it is a set menu. It feels unpleasant to pay for a service that was not provided. With that mindset, it may be difficult to make reservations and go out in this day and age. The alcohol was also weak, so it might not be a bad choice as a place to go for a smoke break before heading to a second bar.

This place offers a wide variety of fish dishes, including tuna cuisine. You can smoke at your table and enjoy a leisurely meal while drinking. The spacious and bright interior makes it easy to accommodate large groups. There are many stylish dishes that are likely to be popular with women, and the presentation of the food is also impressive. The taste is good, and the location is convenient as it is located in front of the station. Highly recommended restaurant.

We visited a restaurant with 9 people for an intern farewell party. There were many tuna dishes available, including sashimi and sushi. We also enjoyed a dish where canned mackerel was flipped over and eaten with onions. However, it was quite expensive at 65,000 yen for 9 people from 6 to 9 pm.

Trayemon is located on the opposite side of Kanda Kanamono Street from JR Kanda Station South Exit ticket gate. It is located in the basement of a building that has a FamilyMart on the first floor and Karaoke Mac on the second floor. The sign that stands out says "Buy a whole tuna in Kanda, Highball for 290 yen anytime". This is a type of restaurant operated by TBI Holdings, which has about 80 izakaya restaurants nationwide from Hokkaido to Okinawa. I have been to Maguro and Sake Toraeemon in Shinjuku before, which had high ratings on Tabelog, but it closed down at some point. This time, I stopped by as the second place to visit after drinking a lot of sake. It was around 9 pm, so the peak crowd had passed. We were guided to a box seat by the wall and started with a draft beer (620 yen). Cheers! It was a slim Asahi Super Dry glass. We had fried potatoes (590 yen), deep-fried chikuwa (740 yen), and dashimaki tamago with tuna flakes on top (750 yen) as snacks. Although the menu here is all about tuna, I had already eaten sashimi from Tsukiji wholesale market at the first place and had experience at Toraeemon in Shinjuku, so I opted for regular otsumami. The dashimaki tamago with tuna flakes was delicious with plenty of tuna flakes on top. For the drink refill, I had a Black Nikka Highball (290 yen). There are almost 20 different types of highballs at this restaurant, with all except Black Nikka Highball priced over 500 yen. With so many flavors available, it's easy to end up ordering the more expensive ones. After that, I had a Kyukumber Highball (530 yen) for the refill. This is a clever strategy to make customers order the more expensive highballs. I ended the night with the only affordable option, a Black Nikka Highball (290 yen)!

I went with a colleague, expecting a stylish atmosphere, but the interior was like a chain izakaya. The menu was all about tuna. I thought I would have one tuna dish, but there were more than I expected. The tuna itself was just average. There were hardly any warm dishes, so our body temperature kept dropping. We left early and went to a second place.

Had a girls' night out at Maguro Toraemon in Kanda @kanda.m.toraemon. We tried the Toraemon Mountain set which included: dashimaki tamago, maguro flakes, rare maguro katsu, three kinds of maguro delicacies, maguro skin ponzu, and refreshing maguro tea rice. It was a maguro feast that blew my mind! The Toraemon Mountain set looked amazing! It was a mountain filled with dreams like hon maguro with negitoro gunkan, uni, ikura. The Toraemon set is amazing! You can grill various parts of the maguro yourself. This time, we had the rare maguro katsu and engawa. Engawa of maguro might be a first for me... but it was absolutely incredible! You eat it with finely chopped wasabi, sesame oil, and pink rock salt. It was overwhelmingly delicious. Personally, I highly recommend the rare maguro katsu! It was so delicious that I almost wanted seconds. The maguro katsu perfectly balanced refreshing and crispy textures. Overall, everything was delicious. If you love seafood izakayas, you must visit this place. You'll discover the deliciousness of various maguro dishes. #MaguroToraemoninKanda #Toraemon #Maguro #TunaSpecialtyShop #MaguroSpecialtyShop #ToraemonMountain #ToraemonSet #RareMaguroKatsu #MaguroFeast #MaguroEngawa #Delicious #KandaIzakaya #KandaGourmet #KandaDinner #KandaMaguro #KandaDrinks #KandaGirlsNightOut #TokyoGourmet #merainKanda

I want to eat sushi. I want to eat tuna. There is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Kanda, but it seems to be mainly for locals. So, we visited this place. It's called Torae Mon, a tuna specialty restaurant. We ordered sashimi, but it was quite a large portion for two people. It started to get cold as we kept eating raw food. There weren't many hot dishes available, so we left the restaurant early. The restaurant is spacious, and there were groups of people having a great time. The tuna wasn't very fatty. Thank you for the meal.

Kanda Station is a 1-minute walk away, and you can walk from Akihabara, where the tuna is delicious at a reasonable price because they buy the whole fish! The Traemon Mountain is a specialty dish that combines toro, chutoro, akami, and two rare cuts of tuna on top of a negitoro gunkan with uni and ikura. It was incredibly delicious and satisfying! The tuna sashimi platter also offers a variety of tuna cuts to enjoy, both as is and seared. The sliced tuna back meat and chutoro were particularly delightful. The portion size was generous and it was a truly blissful experience! I felt so happy being able to enjoy such delicious tuna. I am curious about trying other items on the menu as well!

I went to a restaurant that had a good reputation for delicious bluefin tuna. The interior was spacious, with a lower floor for the women's restroom and banquet hall. Unfortunately, the bluefin tuna cross-section only had the back part available, but I still love the lean and medium fatty tuna. I ordered the following: - Toroemon Mountain ¥2160 - Bluefin tuna cross-section (back) ¥1900 - Bluefin tuna offcuts with ikura and uni ¥1080 - Vinegared rice set ¥500 I also ordered a Jack Daniel's flavored highball with roasted hazelnuts for ¥690. The highball challenge allowed for free drinks on double numbers, half-price on even numbers, and double price on odd numbers. I ended up paying double, but it was fun and delicious. The appetizer was steamed clams. The Toroemon Mountain was the restaurant's signature dish, and I also enjoyed the bluefin tuna, negitoro sushi, uni, and ikura. The bluefin tuna cross-section was from the medium fatty tuna back part. The uni and ikura had a special soy sauce made from uni. The vinegared rice set allowed for customizable rolls and was a great deal. I had a second drink, a lemon squash highball for ¥520. I realized how much I missed enjoying a good meal due to the impact of COVID-19. It was a satisfying experience with delicious food and drinks. Thank you for the meal.
