The chef greeted us at the counter seats. --------- 【Eating Experience】 We had the "Ultimate Omakase Nigiri Course" for ¥17,800. - Nigiri: Seabream marinated in kombu, golden snapper with flavorful rice. The cuts were precise. - Small plates: Ankimo simmered in sauce, chicken meatballs in oden, whelk simmered in plum. - Sashimi: Medium fatty tuna, scallop, botan shrimp, all were fresh and chewy. - Nigiri: Flounder, medium fatty tuna, nodoguro (with egg yolk and soy sauce), each piece melted in the mouth. - Grilled dishes: Winter carrot, steamed abalone, red snapper. - Uni tasting: Saltwater uni from Nemuro, Bafun uni, and purple uni from Tomakomai. Each had a distinct flavor, with the purple uni being exceptional. - Nigiri: Sweet shrimp, cured mackerel, fatty tuna. Everything was delicious and of higher quality than the price! I heard from a friend that it was reasonably priced and tasty, and it was just as they said! We had to change our scheduled time because my friend was running late, but they were very accommodating. However, it was a bit awkward that two employees seemed to be watching us from the kitchen, whether they were bored or trying to time the service.

Visited for lunch on Saturday and opted for the 5,800 yen course. It included an appetizer platter, 10 pieces of sushi, rolls, soup, and dessert. The appetizer platter consisted of potato salad, onion sauce, chicken meatballs, thick fried tofu, and cream cheese - all delicious and well-prepared. The sushi selection included sea bream with kelp, seared sandfish with sudachi and salt, squid, striped jack, scallop with sea urchin powder, mixed tuna bowl, and more. The meal also included pumpkin steamed egg custard, pumpkin jelly, and green tea. All of this for the price was fantastic!

Expensive, average taste, decent service. I wanted to sit at the counter but was told the special omakase course (priced at around 9,000 yen) is only available at tables. When I visited, the counter was empty except for one group, so I don't understand the reason for the restriction. I also ordered a uni tasting set but it was just expensive without anything particularly impressive. I would rather go to a cheaper chain restaurant.

During my reservation for the 11,000 yen course, I was recommended to try the Uni tasting set. It was all high quality and delicious - from the sushi to the rolls to the grilled dishes. The Uni tasting set included three types: saltwater, Bafun, and Murasaki.

Located right in front of Ueno Station, right next to Marui. I was expecting it to be geared towards tourists, but it pleasantly surprised me. The vinegar and citrus sour drink was delicious, and even I, who don't usually drink, had a refill. The friendly sushi chef prepared the sushi for us, and we were very satisfied when we went home.

I ordered the lunch course "Makoto" without checking the details of the receipt, but was there a mistake in the course? A mixed appetizer plate was served. It said there were 10 pieces of sushi, but looking at the photo, it seems like there were 9 pieces and a roll. The food itself was very delicious, and we requested a private room. The atmosphere was calm, and the explanation of the dishes was polite. The staff wore a chin mask the whole time, and I thought it might be better if they took it off.

In front of Ueno Station, there is a building with a counter and several private rooms right next to Marui. I don't usually go to places like this, but the 8800 yen sushi course for lunch was just right in terms of portion size, and everything was delicious! I especially liked the sweet shrimp appetizer, the button shrimp nigiri, chu-toro, nodoguro, and the sea urchin and pumpkin chawanmushi. I was looking forward to the 3-color mini rice bowl on the menu, and I liked that I could try a little bit of my favorite things. It felt like a good deal!

I had been curious about this place for a while, so today I decided to go in by myself. I called ahead and found out they only offer set courses, so I chose the cheapest one at 11,800 yen. The counter was full, so I was seated in a private room. All the private rooms seemed to be occupied, as the place was bustling with customers. Looking at the drink menu, I noticed the prices were on the higher side. Since the sake was expensive, I settled for a bottled beer. The first course, a piece of sushi, was served and it tasted really good. The food and drinks were served at a good pace. Since I was dining alone, there was no conversation, so I finished my meal relatively quickly, which seemed to be taken into consideration. By the time I finished, I felt comfortably full. The taste was good, the service was good, but for some reason, I didn't feel a strong desire to come back. Maybe it was because I dined alone in a private room, but I just felt like something was missing. I had a bottled beer, sparkling wine, and green tea highball, and the bill came out to just under 16,000 yen.

I went to dinner with an acquaintance in Tokyo because I wanted them to enjoy delicious food while they were here. The atmosphere was casual and not too formal, with mostly groups of two people, either women or men, treating themselves. We also indulged in a luxurious meal. We had reserved a course menu and they asked if there was anything we didn't like. I didn't have any particular dislikes, but I appreciated the consideration. First of all, the beer was delicious! And the sea urchin was irresistible! I didn't used to like sea urchin, but after trying it here, I became a fan! There were different types of sea urchin to compare, and they recommended the best order to eat them in, so we enjoyed them thoroughly. There was a variety of sake available too, so we were satisfied! There were also younger groups of three or four at other tables, enjoying a casual yet luxurious experience. It seems like a good place for that. I think it would also be suitable for taking your boss out. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

There were many private rooms along a main street near the station, so it seemed suitable for a wide range of uses such as with family or for business. The course started with surprising and delicious scallop and sea bream sushi, which impressed me. The side dishes were tasty, and the other sushi pieces were delicious as well. The chawanmushi had a corn soup taste with corn inside, which might be a matter of preference. The red miso soup was good, and the dessert at the end was delicious too. The uni tasting comparison is available for an additional charge.

Lunch was only available as a course, with a drink included. I dined alone and was seated at the counter. It was a special day for me, and since work was over, I chose white wine. The course came with a non-alcoholic drink, so I had sparkling water. There were 5 types of appetizers. I particularly enjoyed the potato salad topped with pickled squid. The sushi was served with seasoning. The three small rice bowls made a big impression. The steamed egg custard had a flavor of sea urchin and tomato, but I felt the sea urchin was overpowered by the tomato. I was able to enjoy a delicious meal with wine in the afternoon and have a special day.

The course was cheap so I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised! It was really great! I requested a counter seat instead of a private room when making a reservation, and they accommodated my request! Sushi is definitely best enjoyed at the counter ❤️ The course included 9 pieces of nigiri sushi, 3 appetizers, a roll, a small rice bowl, chawanmushi (savory egg custard), miso soup, tamago (sweet omelette), pickled octopus, and dessert, all for 8800 yen. They recommended a comparison tasting of sea urchin halfway through, but I was already satisfied with the volume of this course! For drinks, we had 3 glasses of whiskey on the rocks, 1 glass of Tomio Hozan with soda, 1 glass of Yama no Hana shochu with water, and 1 highball, plus 1 beer, all for 26,000 yen for two people ✨✨✨✨ Isn't that price for two people? I was surprised that it was the price for one person! The staff were really friendly, and even though I ordered a whiskey with water, they brought a highball instead. But they came back to apologize and explain their mistake, which was really nice. The highball was delicious anyway! When I asked what they used for the whiskey on the rocks, they kindly explained the process of making delicious whiskey on the rocks and how they age it. I can't believe there's such a great restaurant in Ueno. I'll definitely come back again! ✨

The sushi I had at the counter was indeed the best. I ordered the best course and enjoyed comparing the flavors, which was delicious. Overall, it was delicious, but this time I particularly liked the nodoguro and otoro. It might have been a bit too much, but I was satisfied.

The atmosphere of the restaurant, the speed of the food coming out, and the service were all excellent. I will definitely go back! This time, we had the 5,800 yen course to celebrate my wife's birthday. Both my wife and I eat quite a lot, but we were full at lunchtime! The uni and ikura donburi was the best! The location is excellent, right in front of Ueno Station, and the view from the high-rise building is also nice. The 17,800 yen course left me very full, so I recommend discussing the number of dishes when choosing a course for those who eat less or don't eat when drinking. After the funeral in the valley, we had a lunch course. The deliciousness of this meal at this price is wonderful. The restaurant is clean and conveniently located very close to the station. I would like to come back at night as well. It's also great that they have a wide variety of good alcohol, not just sake.

I ordered the 11,800 yen course and also added a sea urchin tasting set for 4,500 yen. The sushi, seasonal dishes, and chawanmushi were all delicious! The pickled ginger was also very tasty, I couldn't help but ask for more. As a woman, the portion size was just right for me, but it seemed a bit lacking for the men. The location right in front of Ueno Station is very convenient and the atmosphere is quite upscale, so I might visit again in the future. There are both counter seats and private rooms available, and this time I used a private room, but next time I'd like to try the counter seats.

I recommend adding a sea urchin tasting to the 8,800 yen course, which was delicious. We ordered three drinks for two people. The total bill was 33,000 yen. The sushi had red vinegar rice, and each grain of rice was distinct and delicious. The drinks were on the expensive side, and I couldn't drink sake.
