[Overall] The area around Yotsuya-Sanchome is a well-known battleground for yakiniku restaurants, but I believe this place is the best in the area. [Cuisine/Taste] Japanese people tend to like fatty meat, but the good thing about this place is that they carefully select meat that is not too greasy, allowing the flavor of the meat to shine. If you order based on other people's reviews, you can't go wrong. They often run out of certain cuts of meat, but that's to be expected from a hidden gem. The cost performance is also decent. [Service] Average. I haven't noticed anything particularly bad or concerning. [Atmosphere] It's somewhat bright and clean, but it's not chic or stylish. [Date Night Index] ★★ It's a good place for couples who are getting comfortable with each other. The meat is just delicious.

I visited the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. There was no line, so we were seated right away. They were offering a 1-hour all-you-can-drink deal for only 500 yen (limited to soft drinks and highballs). The lunch menu was simple, with the option to add rice to your meat dish for an additional 200 yen. We ordered a platter of tongue, harami, and hormone, all of which were delicious. The tongue platter was especially satisfying. We also tried the yukgaejang soup and cold noodles, both of which were very tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely visit again.

We visited the restaurant as a couple. The atmosphere seemed a bit different. The menu had been updated. We ordered the usual beef tongue salt, as well as normal kalbi, loin, and harami. We also added some namul and cherry yukhoe. The beef tongue salt was delicious as always. It's a bit pricey, but we can't skip it. Surprisingly, the loin was also tasty. We added a bit more and paid around 15. It used to be a casual yakiniku place, but the atmosphere has changed a bit, so it doesn't feel like a place you can drop by anytime anymore.

I went to the restaurant on Sunday at 7 pm. I didn't eat much and didn't drink much, but I was surprised at how cheap it was. I tried the hormone dish, but I think it's better to eat hormone at a hormone shop and order yakiniku at a yakiniku restaurant. However, I was satisfied because it was good value for money.

On a rainy Saturday afternoon, I decided to stop by "Seikoen" for lunch. I had been wanting to try this place for a while. They offer a lunch set on weekends and holidays where you can choose your favorite meat plus rice and wakame soup for an additional 200 yen. I opted for the extra-large rice portion and also ordered some kimchi on the side. I ordered a comparison set of beef tongue (3 kinds) and some harami. The beef tongue was delicious with a squeeze of lemon juice, while the harami was marinated in a blend of sauce with gochujang for a unique flavor.

It's been a while since I visited. We had a reservation for five people, but the table had only one stove for four people at the entrance. Luckily, the table next to us was empty so we were able to move there, but if we couldn't move, we would have left. We started with a toast with beer and ordered top tongue salt, kalbi, loin, and top harami. The top tongue salt is a must, but the other meats are good even if they are regular. The service was a bit disappointing, but the taste is consistent.

I went to a yakiniku restaurant called "Seikoen" in Akasaka. I like the old-fashioned style of this place. In the neighborhood, there are other famous yakiniku restaurants like Rasenmon and another one called Rasenmon, both of which are well-established. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also nice, reminiscent of a traditional yakiniku place. The staff are all foreigners, and I found out they are from Myanmar. We had a conversation in Myanmar language (if you can call it a conversation). The grilling style is banner-style with high heat, which cooks the meat quickly. The prices are a bit higher than average, but not extremely expensive. We spent over 10,000 yen per person this time because we drank a lot, but normally it should be around 7,000-8,000 yen per person. They also have other menu items listed below. - Bottled beer (750 yen) / Draft beer (600 yen) / Lemon sour (550 yen) - Kimchi assortment (1,000 yen) - Lettuce (500 yen) - Garlic foil grill (800 yen) - Leek pancake (1,000 yen) - Raw firefly (900 yen) For the meat, we tried: - Wagyu premium tongue salt (3,000 yen) - Premium tongue salt (2,200 yen) - Wagyu upper kalbi (2,000 yen) / Tomosankaku (2,500 yen) - Wagyu premium harami (2,600 yen) - Premium harami (1,600 yen) - Wagyu upper loin (1,800 yen) - Pork cartilage (900 yen) - Upper mino (1,350 yen) - Heart (900 yen) They only have ice cream for dessert, such as: - Creme brulee-style custard ice cream (600 yen) - Adult cocoa ice cream

HiroMiya has two branches in Akebonobashi, and we were a bit hesitant while looking at the menu outside the yakiniku restaurant right next to HiroMiya. It was around 9:45 pm, so we weren't sure if they were still open, but they welcomed us in. It was a Saturday, and we found out that the last order was at 10:10 pm, and they closed at 11 pm. We quickly placed our order for three people, including kalbi, harami, beef tongue assortment, wagyu hormone, chorogi salad, and kimchi assortment. The beef tongue was tender and flavorful, and the kalbi and harami were delicious as well. The wagyu hormone had a good amount of fat trimmed off, and when grilled, it had a nice texture and was very tasty. We had to eat quickly due to the limited time, but everything was incredibly delicious.

I visited on a whim with a same-day reservation on a regular day. It was empty, probably because I arrived early. We had the kimchi set, namul set, Korean seaweed, and changja for appetizers. For sashimi, we had horse meat yukhoe and raw tripe. For meat, we had beef tongue, kalbi, loin, and skirt steak. We kept ordering more and also got bottles of Chamisul and Jinro. It ended up being a bit expensive because we also ordered cold noodles and soup at the end, but I really like this place for its consistency.

It was past 8 pm on a holiday. We visited without a reservation, a group of 6 people. Since it was our second stop, we quickly placed our order. We had Asahi Super Dry draft beer for 550 yen, a highball with whiskey for 550 yen, Chanja for 450 yen, salted beef tongue for 2000 yen, top-grade beef loin for 1650 yen, top-grade beef ribs for 1800 yen, and top-grade beef skirt for 1450 yen. I took photos but I was a bit drunk, so I'm not confident if the menu names are correct. The food in the photos looks delicious, haha. Thank you for the meal.

I recently went there with a group of five people. Last time, I realized that the special top tongue salt was too much, so this time we ordered the regular top tongue salt, which was still delicious enough. We also ordered the usual series of dishes like kalbi, loin, harami, and yukhoe, and we were satisfied with the quality. Maybe because we had a larger group, the price was very reasonable, and overall, the restaurant's quality is high.

The weekends are quite crowded. I made a reservation in advance, but it's already full even early in the day. We started with a platter of kimchi, namul, and jjang. I splurged on the premium beef tongue, but the regular one might be enough. We ordered upper loin, kalbi, and harami, with the harami being particularly delicious. For the finale, we had kalbi soup and Morioka cold noodles since the chige was sold out. Overall, it was slightly cheaper than Rasomon and the quality was high.

Located near Akasaka Station, this Seikoen restaurant seems to have changed ownership, with a revamped menu and a slightly different atmosphere. The beef tongue with chopped green onions remains the same, with thick and richly marbled meat. It may be a bit heavy for those who enjoy Negi-tan salt at Jojoen. The meat is delicious. The recommended dish of lightly boiled tripe sashimi may be a bit challenging. The upper harami and upper medium kalbi are also delicious, albeit slightly heavy. The Negi chijimi is even more delicious when grilled again. The Namul assortment is elegant and recommended, while the Kimchi assortment, aside from the cucumber, is well soaked and tasty. The Wakame soup is hearty, and the combination of seaweed, lettuce, rice, and kalbi for the finale is perfect.

I will have lunch at a yakiniku restaurant located a short walk from Akebonobashi Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line, heading towards Shinjuku on Yasukuni Street. They offer a yakiniku set meal where you can choose what to grill yourself, and I ordered three types for 950 yen with a free extra serving of rice. You grill the meat yourself at the table. I chose harami, kalbi, and horumon. The portions of the side dishes were poor, and the quality of the meat was just okay for the price. It felt a bit tiring to eat because of the chewiness. Each type was 50g, so a total of 150g. It felt like a struggle to finish it all. It seems that even for a yakiniku lunch, you have to spend over 1,000 yen in today's times.

It's quite crowded, but the staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable, so it's easy to get in. It has a traditional feel of a yakiniku restaurant. Overall, the food is delicious, but this time the beef intestine sashimi had a bit of a smell. It's tough with raw food.

After the state of emergency was lifted, my husband and I were thinking about what to eat, and we decided on yakiniku! We made a reservation and went to have yakiniku. We decided to try a yakiniku restaurant in Aobadai for the first time. The restaurant had a retro Showa-era interior, and it was packed with customers. We were glad we made a reservation. We tried a variety of basic meats like tongue, hormone, harami, and kalbi, and they were all delicious. The salad was a bit too strong in flavor, but overall, the meat was high-quality and the portions were generous. Yakiniku with beer is the best! When I entered the restaurant, I saw a young boy shouting "Seikoen!" as he entered with his family. It was heartwarming to see how excited the children were.

A yakiniku restaurant located along Yasukuni Street, about a 3-minute walk from Akebonobashi Station. I visited for lunch without a reservation. When I went in the afternoon, some items were already sold out (perhaps due to a lack of supplies), and the lunch menu was limited. This time, I ordered a la carte. The tongue and skirt steak were very fatty, and I got heartburn quickly as I hadn't had fatty food in a while. I enjoyed them while snacking on salad and beef intestines. The beef intestines had a nice color and good freshness. The skirt steak was too strong in flavor.

Located just a minute's walk from the A1 exit of Shinjuku Line's Akebonobashi Station, "Seikoen" is a popular yakiniku restaurant loved by locals. Despite it being my first visit, the place was crowded right from the opening. I didn't get to take many photos as I was there for a business meal, but... The tan salt and salt harami were delicious. The tan salt was well seasoned and tender even without lemon. The salt harami was also flavorful and satisfying. These two are a must-order. The wagyu kalbi was juicy and marbled, and the fillet, although a special order, was also delicious. The horumon dishes were tasty with the sauce provided. We finished off with the classic cold noodles. The cost performance was great, so I will definitely be going back!

It's been a while since my last visit. I ordered the usual kimchi, namul, beef tongue with salt, and galbi. The staff's service was polite and the service was quick, so there is a sense of reliability. However, it seems like the prices have gone up a bit compared to before. Or maybe it's because the contents of the order have changed. It's convenient as it is close to Akebonobashi Station.

In the area near Arakawa Bridge, which is a hot spot for yakiniku restaurants, there is a popular, down-to-earth yakiniku place called Koko Seikoen. The staff there, who don't seem to be either Korean or Japanese, are quick and flexible in their service. Making a reservation was a smart move as the place was fully booked on a Sunday night, reminiscent of the pre-COVID days. Each table has its own exhaust system for grilling, making it seem like a safe option for dining out during the pandemic. We started with a cheers with beer and a platter of kimchi, salted tongue, and grilled gejang (marinated raw crab). The marinated meat of the day was good, but I might have preferred the wagyu harami. We enjoyed the chumisul on the rocks, and even though they were out of jowl meat, the middle kalbi and heart were decent. I'm still not a fan of offal. The meal was served with lettuce, grilled seaweed, and rice. The seats near the entrance might have been better, so I'll make sure to request them next time!

2020/5 Yakiniku "Seikoen"✨✨A long-established yakiniku restaurant located near Akebonobashi Station. I tried to make a weekend reservation before, but it was fully booked. Today, I suddenly felt like eating yakiniku and decided to visit for lunch. The restaurant has been in business for over 40 years and is located just a 1-minute walk from Toei Shinjuku Line Akebonobashi Station. The interior has a traditional yakiniku restaurant atmosphere. It's lunchtime but not crowded. Now, how does the taste of this long-established yakiniku restaurant fare? (*´∇`)ノ ■Lunch Menu Highlights (excluding tax) You can choose the amount of meat in grams, which affects the price ① Stamina Set Meal 1250 yen (tongue, heart, skirt, hormone) ② Wagyu Kalbi Set Meal (100g) 950 yen ③ Beef Tongue Set Meal (100g) 950 yen ④ Harami Set Meal 900 yen ⑤ Wagyu Kalbi & Harami Set Meal (each 100g) 1700 yen ■Wagyu Kalbi Set Meal (200g) 1925 yen (including tax) ⚫Wagyu Kalbi Now, the Wagyu beef... Hmm, it has a lot of marbling and the meat quality is like cut-off meat from Kalbi. As for the taste... It does taste like Wagyu, but the umami of the meat is not that great. I haven't tasted this flavor before. ⚫Namul, Salad, Soup, Rice Hmm, everything other than the meat is well-prepared. Sometimes, the rice in lunch sets can be bad, but that's not the case here. ■Service Dry service. ■Price 1925 yen including tax. Quite pricey. Considering the quality of the meat, it's expensive. A bit disappointing (^_^;) I chose the most expensive lunch option, but maybe the cheaper options would offer better value for money. Thank you for the meal. m(__)m □Rating as of May 2020 Tabelog rating 3.39, 25 reviews
