I visited this restaurant for lunch after a long time. Even though it was not yet noon, the seats were already full, so I was seated at the counter. Looking at the menu, I noticed that the prices were a bit high... I couldn't find the 1200 yen lunch set where you can choose two items. Nonetheless, I decided to go for a well-balanced set meal as the dishes here tend to be flavorful. Among them, I usually enjoy the lamb with cumin stir-fry, but today I felt like having mapo tofu. It was priced at 1300 yen, which was relatively reasonable. The mapo tofu arrived, and it was visually striking with a bright red color from the chili oil. I took a bite and exclaimed, "Wow, it's spicy, but delicious!" I continued eating, and soon the sweat started dripping down my face. The spiciness was intense, and I couldn't stop sweating. Oh, the tofu is gone already? Well, I can't waste any of that flavorful sauce on the plate, right? Time for a rice refill! Mix, mix, huff, huff, munch, gulp, finished! Ah, refreshing and satisfying. Satisfied.

Discovered a hidden gem of a restaurant! Visited Toramangen for the first time and since there were few people, I was a bit unsure at first. However, I ordered a variety of dishes including assorted appetizers, black vinegar sweet and sour pork, Peking duck, xiao long bao, and simmered chicken, and they were all incredibly delicious! The portions were generous, so even ordering a small amount was perfect. I will definitely be coming back again!

After several years, I visited this restaurant for the third time. Without hesitation, I chose the boiled noodle hot pot, this time opting for the spicy pepper noodles. However, when the dish arrived, I immediately felt something was off - it was noticeably smaller (or you could say, lacking). It seemed like there was less chili pepper and only about four tough pieces of meat. I wonder what happened. Maybe my taste buds have become more refined, or maybe the restaurant has changed. The taste was somewhat like a slightly more expensive family restaurant. The atmosphere is quite nice, so it might be a good place for students who haven't developed sophisticated tastes yet.

I feel like I've already visited this place more than 10 times, but this is my first time posting. LOL Once again, I ordered a la carte. The assorted appetizers cost 1600 yen per person, which is quite pricey, but the quantity and taste were worth it. Especially the shrimp marinated in Shaoxing wine was fresh, plump, with a good texture, and the Shaoxing wine flavor was quite strong and delicious. I forgot to take a picture, but be sure to order the chive dumplings. The volume and flavor of each dumpling are exceptional. I chose the green onion salt sauce for the sea bream, which was the right choice. The quality is on par with Italian cuisine. The shrimp chili had a strong tomato flavor, which might be divisive. Personally, I might prefer a more Sichuan-style version. The sweet and sour pork had a chunky texture, with strong fibers, and was interesting. The thickly sliced Chinese yam and lotus root had a strong flavor and paired perfectly with the sauce. The twice-cooked pork and five-flavored fried noodles may not stand out at first glance, but the chef's skills are evident in these straightforward dishes. I especially want to order the five-flavored fried noodles again. The shark fin rice, with its delicious sauce, was just as good as the restaurants that specialize in shark fin dishes. We spent around 6000 yen for four people. If there were fewer people, it might cost around 8000 yen. I will definitely come back.

I visited the restaurant after a long time and ordered the five-ingredient yakisoba, but I was disappointed to receive a meagerly filled yakisoba with sauce. When I think of Chinese restaurants' five-ingredient yakisoba, I imagine a yakisoba with plenty of ingredients and thick sauce, but what I got was just an ordinary yakisoba that anyone can make. It wasn't bad tasting, but it was nothing special. It came with egg soup for 1200 yen. It used to be crowded during lunchtime, but today there were quite a few empty seats. This was my first time ordering the five-ingredient yakisoba here, and I'm not sure if it's because of the influence of COVID-19, the menu I chose, or if the quality has declined. It was a bit of a disappointing lunch.

When walking along the national highway in Minami Aoyama, you will suddenly come across a painting of a tiger. As you enter the restaurant, you will be drawn into the world of Chinese culture. This is a cozy eatery specializing in Beijing traditional cuisine, featuring home-style dishes and dim sum like buns and dumplings. During lunch, they mainly offer set meals with noodles and dim sum, and do not offer a la carte options (sadly). In the evening, you can probably order a variety of dishes a la carte. This time, I tried two dishes that had received good reviews on TV, as well as some dim sum: - Spicy Beef Noodle Soup in a Clay Pot - Sweet and Sour Pork with Black Vinegar (I had to order it as a set meal since it wasn't available as a single item) - Seafood Spring Rolls - Xiao Long Bao The dim sum was so-so, so I won't comment on it. The clay pot noodle soup was absolutely delicious as expected. When it arrives, you can add chili peppers to your liking. It's packed with beef belly, garlic, chives, vegetables, and plenty of thick noodles, so it's enough for two people to share. The generous amount of fragrant spices make it irresistibly tasty, especially recommended for the upcoming colder season. The sweet and sour pork with black vinegar features deep-fried spare ribs and onions coated in a rich, tangy-sweet vinegar sauce (compared to the Japanese version). You won't be able to stop eating this dish. The sauce is so good that you'll want to pour it over your rice until the very last bite (lol). Other stir-fried dishes also looked delicious, so I'd like to try them next time at dinner. The restaurant has semi-private rooms, but the seating is quite close together, so it may not be suitable for those looking for a quiet and leisurely dining experience. Lunch menu set with spicy beef hot pot noodles and mapo tofu! The spicy beef hot pot noodles have just the right amount of chili pepper, spiciness, and numbing Sichuan pepper to stimulate the taste buds! The noodles are thick and chewy, perfectly complementing the spicy soup. The mapo tofu has silky smooth tofu with a nice bite. The moderate spiciness of the doubanjiang sauce arouses the appetite. You can choose between white rice and corn rice, and this time I chose corn rice. The sweetness of the corn rice provides a nice break between the spicy mapo tofu. Every time I visit, I am always fully satisfied with the authentic Sichuan Chinese cuisine.

Located in a inconvenient place far from Omotesando Station and Hiroo Station, but being along Roppongi Street, it is convenient to take a bus from Shibuya Station if you don't have a car. The large tiger painting outside the shop is quite eye-catching. The interior of the shop has a Chinese-like atmosphere, which is nice. When we ordered a lot of dim sum for two people, we couldn't eat the rice at the end! We ordered dishes such as leek steamed buns, rice cake with sausage, spring rolls, xiao long bao, pan-fried dumplings, Sichuan-style steamed chicken with spicy sauce, Sanratan, boiled pork with leaf garlic, and ma la stir-fry. The portion was quite substantial. The dim sum had chewy skins and each piece was large, providing a satisfying meal. Although the skins of the xiao long bao and dumplings were thick, they were delicious. I thought it was unusual to have sausage in the spring rolls, but it was also quite tasty. The steamed chicken was served with eggplant and coriander, with a spicy sauce. Sanratan was generously filled and quite filling for two people. We ordered a bottle of white wine, and then felt like having some snacks, so we ordered the stir-fried pork with leaf garlic. The thick slices of pork were plentiful and well seasoned. We enjoyed authentic Chinese cuisine in this hidden gem. I wished we had tried the noodles. The menu is extensive, so there are other dishes I want to try, and I would like to visit again!

There is no menu at the entrance, and the interior has a calm impression with downlights, making me nervous about the price range. However, the lunch starts from 1000 yen before tax and there are plenty of options. Plus, it's delicious! This time, I tried the hot pot rice that caught my eye last time. Eggplant and pork in sweet sauce hot pot rice for 1100 yen (plus tax) with soup and pickles. It arrived in a hot pot, piping hot. The pork was tender, the sauce was perfectly thick, and the flavor was just right - not too sweet or too spicy. I thought the rice would be stuck to the pot, but surprisingly, the burnt parts came off easily. It was delicious. Since the menu is so extensive, I would like to try other items as well.

Delicious food and great service from the staff! This is important! Both lunch and dinner are recommended! The mapo tofu is spicy and makes you sweat, but that's what makes it good! It's spicy, but the flavor is strong so you'll want to eat it again and again. There are semi-private rooms that can be used for lunch meetings with colleagues, so it's recommended! There is also a counter.

A Chinese restaurant in Minami Aoyama. The entrance might be easy to miss, but once you enter, you'll find a spacious and large establishment with a calming interior. I was a bit anxious at first because there was no menu at the entrance, but I was relieved to see the reasonably priced lunch menu. You can choose one of four set meals for 1,100 yen, or two for 1,200 yen. I went with two choices - the oil-splashed fish made with fresh Hiramasa from Tsushima, and mapo tofu. The freshly fried Hiramasa in the oil-splashed fish dish was delicious. The set meal also came with tasty white rice and soup, leaving me completely satisfied. In addition to the set meals, there are many other tempting options like clay pot rice, dan dan noodles, and five-ingredient yakisoba, so I will definitely be going back!

We went with a group of 6 or 7 people. The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere and stays open late. On this day, we had drunken crab, steamed crab, and other crab dishes. We also had appetizers, black vinegar pork, and shrimp in chili sauce. All the dishes were generously portioned and looked beautiful. It's a hidden gem of a restaurant with Aoyama prices.

I have been to the sister restaurants Casa Blanca Silk and Ninnin before, but I had always wanted to try Tora Man Gen and finally had the opportunity to go! I went on a holiday for lunch, but they were not serving lunch that day. That's okay. I had been curious about the spicy noodle dish with lots of chili peppers, so I decided to try it. When the dish arrived, I was a bit nervous because it looked really spicy, but it turned out to be not as spicy as I had expected. The flavor of the chives was nice, and the vegetables in the soup were delicious! They provided a separate bowl of chili peppers to add if you wanted, which was nice. I wanted to order the xiaolongbao too, but I was already full from the noodles and they said they couldn't pack it for takeout, so they gave me some chive dumplings as a gift instead. After the spicy noodles, I had a refreshing almond jelly for dessert. Next time, I'll try their weekday lunch menu. Oh, but the course menu also looks good. Casa Blanca Silk has a bright interior overall, while Tora Man Gen gives off a vibe of waiting for dawn. The atmosphere inside is cozy with antique furniture, perfect for leisurely enjoying Chinese cuisine. The staff were friendly and even offered to make fried rice for takeout. Both restaurants are a bit of a walk from the station, so it might be more convenient to drive.

Today, my family visited a high-end Chinese restaurant that caters to Japanese tastes. We ordered various dishes including crab miso soup dumplings, leek buns, pan-fried dumplings, braised beef shank with chili, spare ribs in black vinegar sauce, cumin-spiced lamb stir-fry, sesame tantan noodles, and mixed vegetable yakisoba. Each dish had its own unique flavors and textures, making it a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.

I realized how amazing Chinese cuisine is! I thought I was tired and couldn't shake it off, but it was all in my head. I left it up to the chef that day and asked for a course with small dishes of high quality, and he delivered an outstanding and delicious meal. Some of the dishes included Kiji and Jinhua ham medicinal soup, soy sauce-marinated swimming crab, spring rolls with sardines, truffle and wild boar shumai, small dish of potatoes, black sesame tantan noodles, and more. I forgot to take photos, but the dessert with green beans was also excellent. We enjoyed a bottle of champagne and felt rejuvenated. I was able to sleep soundly that night as well. This is the power of Chinese cuisine! Thank you for the wonderful meal. I hope to visit again soon.

Spring is a time when people tend to act more based on TV information. As it gets warmer, the desire to go somewhere and discover a fun new place grows. So, inspired by a show I watched on Tuesday Surprise, I headed to Aoyama in search of noodles with an incredible amount of chili peppers. I arrived a little after 2 o'clock and found the restaurant to be about half full. It's a basement restaurant, so it's somewhat dimly lit, which adds to its stylish Asian atmosphere. The noodles, which I thought would take a while, arrived surprisingly quickly. They were coated in a shiny, plentiful amount of chili peppers. I couldn't resist and took a sip of the soup first... delicious! It was so good that I felt I could handle double the spiciness. The noodles were so tasty that I wanted to keep eating, but the heat made it hard to progress quickly, which was a bit frustrating. I noticed that at other tables, the chili peppers were being avoided, so I instinctively did the same, but I regretted not trying them later. The noodles not only had a great spiciness but also a fantastic umami flavor. It would have been even better if there were more vegetables and perhaps a bit more beef in it.

I entered the restaurant at 12:05 on Monday looking for delicious mapo tofu. It was still quite empty. I ordered the mapo tofu set meal for 1,100 yen. The food came out fairly quickly. The mapo tofu had a slightly sweet taste to it, and overall it was not as spicy as traditional Sichuan mapo tofu, making it easy to eat. Personally, I prefer a spicier version with more Sichuan peppercorns for a stronger "ma" flavor. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant after seeing it introduced by an actor on a TV show. Last time, it was my first visit and I ordered boiled beef noodles. This time, I tried mapo tofu, dumplings, fried rice, and more. The beef noodles are good, but the other menu items are also excellent, making it one of my favorite places to eat. They have a variety of Shaoxing wines to enjoy as well. The prices are reasonable, and I feel like I could go back there many times. Thank you for the meal.
